Opinion is divided on her major intent is the word "chaos," which is pronounced the same way in Japanese, or just as a cutesy way of calling her name, in which case the name "Kaos" is more appropriate. The Crunchyroll subs go with 'Kaos'.

* WhamLine: Tsubasa's mother saying that she ''does'' read her daughter's work during the parent-teacher conference.

* RoseHairedSweetie: {{Inverted|Trope}}. Her pink hair marks her as delicate, sensitive, and withdrawn rather than outgoing and confident.

* HeroicSelfDeprecation: This happens very frequently because of her negativity, resulting in her negatively comparing herself to the other manga artists. For example, in the third episode she didn't eat not only because of ForgetsToEat, but also think that since she screwed up a storyboard for a gourmet manga in the beginning of that episode, she shouldn't eat.

* WriteWhatYouKnow: She finally gets published with a manga called ''[[Titledrop Comic Girls]]'' about her adventures in the dorm.

* NotGoodWithPeople: She's more comfortable with animals than with people.

* SenpaiKohai: She's senpai to the other girls, since she's a year ahead of them and a more experienced manga artist. As such, all of them call her "Fuura-senpai."

* TheOjou: She actually doesn't have the mindset for it, but she ''can'' act like that, mainly to satisfy her FictionFiveHundred, FantasyForbiddingMother, who would prefer her to be fully under this trope rather than being a SequentialArtist drawing things that [[HotBlooded don't fit the mold]].
