* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Let's just say Todd's moral compass is different from most people's to say the least. Todd is always a big people pleaser, childlike, and seems nice to everyone.Nonetheless he shows zero remorse over killing a child, torturing and enslaving Jesse, and killing his girlfriend, yet still thinks Jesse is his friend. This could be interpreted that Todd never fully understands how awful his actions truly are nor how they would cause people to hate him.

* CaptainOblivious: He doesn't realizes that Jesse, the man he enslaved, treated like an animal, and whose girlfriend he killed, hates and despises him with every fiber of his being, and Jesse doesn't even try very hard to make a secret of this fact, constantly shooting absolutely withering {{Death Glare}}s in Todd's general direction, which he also completely fails to notice. In fact, it seems like it never even occurs to Todd that Jesse has plently of very good and understable reasons for hating him and wanting him dead; never once does he think of Jesse as anything other than a friend.

Ambiguous Disorder is not a trope anymore, but a redirect to a YMMV entry.

* AmbiguousDisorder: There is something ''really'' wrong with him. While the creators of the series has called him a {{sociopath}}, he is too emotionally crippled, quiet, calm, easygoing, relaxed, friendly, and self-controlled to accurately be described as such. Many have theorized that Todd has signs of autism or some kind of developmental disorder due to his undeveloped, almost deficient social skills. On the other hand, having a sociopathic monster as an uncle and father figure (Jack), it is almost inevitable that he was going to develop a ruthless side anyway.

While Gustavo Fring may have been his rival in the methmaking business, Jack earns Walt's ire personally by murdering his brother-in-law in cold blood right in front of him, which indirectly but irrevocably destroys Walter's family for good. It's no wonder that Heisenberg's LastStand consists of him concocting a plan to kill him and snuff out the rest of the Aryan Brotherhood alongside him.

While Todd has been called such and has no problems murdering innocent people and commits other acts of sociopathy, he's just too emotionally crippled to ever realize how atrocious his actions truly are. ''Film/ElCamino'' has properly the best example of this: in the aftermath of Todd killing Andrea, Jesse, having been ForcedToWatch the murder, is having a mental breakdown, but while Todd realizes that Jesse is upset and clearly doesn't like that he is upset, he also fails to understand ''why'' Jesse is upset, and so very ineptly attempts to comfort him by mumbling some vaguely inspirational advice to him, completely oblivious to the fact that it was his murder of Andrea that devastated Jesse all the while. This could be a result of having been raised by criminals all his life and thus Todd couldn't have developed a proper moral compass. As a result, Todd literally can't understand the amorality of his actions were a true sociopath can but doesn't care.

* LackOfEmpathy: He has what can only be described as a sociopathic disregard for how any of his actions might affect other people; he just does them because he sees them as necessary or because they are a means to an end, and to him, that is all that really matters. It is implied that the main reason he tortures and enslaves Jesse, as well as kills Andrea, is because of a crush he has on Lydia rather than the money. It could be a case of LoveMakesYouEvil, but it is very likely that Todd simply sees no reason not to do these things. The only one he shows any real emotion to is his Uncle Jack, whom he sees as a father figure.

** He seemed to like his cleaning lady and is genuinely upset that he had to kill her. Of course, he still doesn't see anything wrong with it, but he's genuinely offended when Jesse asks if she was stealing his money, saying that she was an honest and hard-working lady.

* LiteralMinded: The explanation he gives for why he killed Drew is that Walt told him that there could be no witnesses; Drew was a witness, so he had to die, it was simple as that. Of course, while Walt doesn't particularly care, he probably didn't mean for Todd to execute anyone who happened to see it, especially a child who had no idea what he witnessed.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He feels strongly enough about letting Skyler live that he refuses to kill her even when Lydia asks him directly to kill her, even though he loves her enough that he was willing to enslave a man he genuinely considers a friend.

Even after enslaving Jesse and forcing him to be his meth cook under the threat of murdering everyone he cares about, he's friendly and courteous to him, even bringing him ice cream. Todd is so twisted he doesn't seem to think there's anything ''wrong'' with locking Jesse up and forcing him to toil in the gang's drug laboratory against his will, or why that should stop them from being friends. There's also no indication that he ever went out of his way to torment Jesse (unlike Neil and Kenny) or that he ever enforced any kind of retribution against him for threatening him in the desert.
** As ''horrifically'' fucked up as it is, when he notices that Jesse is not doing well in the desert, he tries to encourage him to feel better. Of course, his principle failing is that he doesn't realize that he's caused all of Jesse's problems.

He is geninuely offended when Jesse suggests his Hispanic housekeeper tried stealing his money, saying that she was a hardworking and honest lady. He just killed her because felt he had to after she found where his money was.
* PsychopathicManchild: Todd is a shy, reserved guy and his crush on Lydia feels like a child getting his first crush on his elementary school teacher. At the same time, he's a ruthless killer. His bedroom in ''Film/ElCamino'' further proves this point, full of toys appropriate for much younger children. The rest of his apartment also has some questionable choices in furniture and colors.

* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Of the AffablyEvil trope. Usually, AffablyEvil is used to make a villain more likable and to prove that he's not that bad. Todd is constantly polite and friendly to everyone when he's not casually murdering people, but this does ''not'' make him likable. He actually shows how an AffablyEvil person would come off in real life: extremely creepy, since it's disturbing to see a genuinely meek and polite guy like Todd being able to kill innocent people and even children without remorse. That's why he's considered one of the most hateable characters on the series (by contrast, manipulative FauxAffablyEvil Gustavo Fring is the most popular villain).
