* BoisterousWeakling: Brags about having a bodycount when in reality, he's at the bottom of the food chain. When he actually fights, he ends up on the receiving end of a humiliating CurbStompBattle than ends in his death.

* BadassBeard: He's the strongest member in the Washimine Clan and has the beard to show it off.

* BloodKnight: He is in vehement denial that he is one for most of the arc, but he embraces his bloodlust when he slaughters Chaka's men with Revy. When he reaches his final confrontation with Revy, he admits that they are NotSoDifferent and doesn't even try to deny his love of combat for their final duel.

* HeroicSacrifice: After being shot by Chaka, he attempts to hold down and distract him while she runs off. Sadly it doesn't work and she ends up being violently beaten by one of Chaka's men right after Yoshida is murdered.

* BigBadWannabe: Sees himself as a supreme badass and thinks that he'll be able to effortlessly take advantage of the conflict between the Yakuza and Hotel Moscow by kidnapping Yukio and selling her into sexual slavery while he takes over the Washimine Clan, but he's really just a small-time thug who only receives attention by [[TooDumbToLive going out of his way to piss off both Revy and Ginji]]. In the end, the only thing he accomplishes is getting himself and his entire gang killed.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: His men are just as cheerfully amoral and monstrous as he is, so [[BadBoss his really horrible treatment of them]], which includes violently beating one of them for beating up Yukio just because he didn't give orders to beat her, murdering one of them with a bowling ball for thinking about running away in a manga-only scene while threatening the guys said victim was talking to, forcing them to leave cover in the middle of a gunfight, abandoning them to die horribly at the hands of Revy and Ginji, and murdering his last 3 guys just because he's annoyed, doesn't earn pity.

** Criticises his guys for being "pussies" during the fight in the bowling alley, whilst making his way to the exit using Yukio as a human shield, and later shoots the last surviving gang members just to vent his anger.

* ToThePain: Gleefully informs Yukio that she will be sold to "a real fuckin' sicko" if he can't find a better bid elsewhere and describes, in excruciating detail, that particular client's paraphilias and what she will be forced to do once if she is sold to him.

* AffablyEvil: He's polite, respectful and genuienly cares about Yukio, to where he thanks Rock and Revy for helping him save her. But he's also a ruthless Yakuza enforcer who can be very sadistic -- as seen with how he taunts and kills the Russian Mafia group -- and is willing to do anything for Yukio no matter how amoral or pragmatically questionable it is.

* BornInTheWrongCentury: Honestly, his almost-supernatural swordsmanship belongs in a completely different ''genre'', much less century.

* WorthyOpponent: Revy immediately pegs him as one for her. He slowly stops denying his inner psycho and admits he sees her the same way. That's why he has a duel with her.

* CutHisHeartOutWithASpoon: Gleefully informs Yukio that she will be sold to "a real fuckin' sicko" if he can't find a better bid elsewhere and describes, in excruciating detail, his client's paraphilias and what she will be forced to do once she is sold.

* HairDecorations: She ties her hair with a cute blue bow.

* HairDecorations: Blue hair ribbons.

** He calls his men pussies for hiding behind cover when Revy and Ginji are attacking, yet he runs off while using Yukio as a HumanShield and also only managed to be somewhat of a threat by entirely using dirty tactics. He also beats up one of them and makes remarks about how his goon has a really bad temper, even though Chaka himself has a {{Hair Trigger Temper}} and will violently beat up or kill anyone over the slightest of reasons.
** He has the gall to call Ginji evil for [[spoiler:drowning him to death]], even though he's far from the last person to label someone evil.

** Kidnaps Yukio, lets his buddies beat her up and strip her nearly naked, and plans to sell her into [[SexSlave sexual slavery]] to "a real sicko" (and he gleefully describes in detail some of the horrible things she's going to be forced into).

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Calls Rock a "faggot" multiple times for interrupting him hitting on Revy. Given his rap-sheet, it's just one of his many detestable characteristics.

* {{Hypocrite}}: He calls his men pussies for hiding behind cover when Revy and Ginji are attacking, yet he runs off while using Yukio as a HumanShield and also only managed to be somewhat of a threat by entirely using dirty tactics. * BadBoss: Treats his his own men like absolute garbage, and ends up killing his remaining goons for trying to run away. That was the thing that made [[EvenEvilHasStandards Revy]] pissed with him. That, [[BerserkButton and]] [[KickTheDog beating up Rock]].

* AxCrazy: Chip away the thin layer of fake bravado, and you’ll find nothing but a complete psychopath who will kill and maim just because, [[StupidEvil even if it’s to his detriment.]]

* BaitTheDog: Chaka is introduced as a bumbling mook who harbors an almost childlike enthusiasm for guns and shootouts, but almost immediately, he's showing his true colors as a BadBoss SmugSnake whose StupidEvil to the T.

* AxCrazy: Chip away the thin layer of fake bravado and you’ll find nothing but a complete psychotic who will kill and maim just because, [[StupidEvil even if it’s to his detriment.]]

* EvilIsPetty: His entire existence revolves around petty acts of cruelty and being a colossal dick for no reason other than just because, [[StupidEvil regardless if it hinders him or not.]] In fact, he’s such a malicious idiot that the possibility of throwing himself off a highway solely just to make a mess on some poor guy’s bonnet would be genuinely feasible if he wasn’t such a coward.

* SmugSnake: He thinks he's a big deal, but in reality, he neither have the wits or skills to match his ambition. All in all, he is an absolute nobody who gets noticed only because his behavior is too atrocious to ''not'' do something about.

* SeeYouInHell: The message that she asks Rock to relay to Balalaika [[spoiler:before committing suicide]] in the manga.
