** When Rumia made a spell circle he was able to see the every mistake she made even when she corrected some of them.

** During the mock battle between his class and Leos's, Glenn acknowledged that 3-men cell is the best formation in group battle. However, that formation is meant for ''soldiers'' with lots of training, not school student, so he used 2-men cell instead, which is simpler.

* BlatantLies: Repeatedly claims that he accepted a duel from Leos so he could marry into money and thus loaf off for the rest of his life, which Sisti doesn't buy. He quickly relents, however, and tells her that she reminds him of Sara.
* BlessedWithSuck: While not to the extend of Rumia's Supernatural status. His magic characteristics 'stagnation and stop' doesn't allow him to shorten the chants of using magic. Making him weaker then other magician who are considered more talented, but he was able to use it to it's fullest by creating his original magic the Fool's World. [[spoiler:He is also able to put his characteristics inside a specially made bullet which can even destroy the strongest devil.]]

* BreakTheBadass: Being [[CurbStompBattle curb-stomped]] by [[spoiler:'Leos' left Glenn shocked not only because of his defeat but rather the way 'Leos' did which was in a way someone who supposedly died did]]. He gets out of it thanks to Rumia telling him that Sistine needs his help.

* ChickMagnet: Many female characters are attracted to him, because of his noble qualities and kindness beneath his rough exterior. In fact when Celica organized a contest to get a bride for him, there were around 20 girls from different grades participating much to Sistine's surprise and Rumia's understanding.

* LaserGuidedAmnesia: When Celica found him as a kid. He lost all of his memories as a result of magical experiments at the hand of [[spoiler:[[RogueAgent Henrietta]]]], these memories include the village he was found in, his name and even the experimentation that caused it, but it's considered a good thing since those experiments were clearly traumatizing since they involved directly experimenting on his brain.

* HotForTeacher: She is in love with Glenn who is her homeroom teacher.

* AmbiguouslyHuman: Although the novel and many characters keep mentioning Glenn is just a normal human being, it's rather questionable if that's rather accurate or true, because of his connection to Nameless [[spoiler:who even refers to him as the person that shall become her master and it's implied that Nameless is an angel or god of some kind]].

* StaticCharacter: An invoked example according to the author. Throughout the story Glenn is still pretty much the same person he was at the start of the story, a bastard with a heart of gold who wants to become a "Magician of Justice", only much more livelier at times. Instead he is used to help other characters develop, especially Sistine, Rumia, Re=L, Celica, Albert and Eve. Glenn actually notes to himself that he hasn't truly grown as much compared to his students.

* SpannerInTheWorks: Whenever an antagonist has a perfect plan, you can pretty much guarantee that Glenn would somehow foil it since they either don't expect to be there or underestimate him.

* TarotMotifs: The Magician, which is also her code name. The tarot card itself means choices which something she had to make when she was leading the Imperial Court Mage Corps and while she is able to make the right choices based on her own judgement, she's unable to make the right choices when her father interferes with them.

* TheChosenOne: Jatice believes Glenn is some kind of chosen one of the world, because not only was Glenn able to defeat him, but he keeps surviving and prevailing many dangers despite how high his chance of death is and being a third rate magician. He might be right considering Glenn's connection to Namenlose.

** It's also implied Glenn may not truly be a normal human considering his connection with Namenloze.

* HeroicBastard: She is an illegitimate child between her father the head of the Ignite house and a commoner, but she's on the side of the good guys and fights against dangers and threats to Alzano.

** In Volume 17 the two of them face off against her father, Azel le Ignite, which caused Glenn to know the reasons behind Eve's orders during Sara's death and her behavior. Their partnership during the conflict is also similar to a BattleCouple supporting each other mentally and in combat.

* CoolTeacher: Takes his job more seriously after his WizardDuel against Sisti. And it gets to the point that students from other classes chime in to listen to his lectures. Also, as he's not that removed from his students age-wise, he can get in their graces rather easily, as he knows full well what makes them tick (both girls and boys, funnily enough).

* UnderestimatingBadassery: One the receiving end from this, because in terms of magician skills on paper he's a third rate magician who can't shorten spells, but despite his several feats his enemies believe that this came from luck and that he isn't a threat to their plan which they later regretted.

** One a more humorous note. Wendy fell in love with his one-time alter ego Kamen Rider Kaiser X in a Side Story from Orwell's magic golems.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Can be considered this to Sistine in terms of archaeology knowledge. Whenever Sisti tries to explain the history behind something Celica interrupts what she was going to say and gives her own explanation which is also better.

* DramaPreservingHandicap: [[spoiler:She lost the ability to use magic with her left hand when it was cut off in her fight against Jatice. Even when it was reattached thanks to Cecilia She still can't use magic, because of the trauma she suffered.]]

* ShipTease: Gets this with Glenn, because they are actually rather similar to each other despite how much they argue. A side story even shows that they would get along greatly if it wasn't for their circumstances.

* AlmightyJanitor: He's only a third rank mage with average magic skills, but despite this the feats he performed are way above what someone would expect from a mage of his level. These include: Saving Alzano Imperial Magic Academy, the empress Alicia VII and the entirety of Fejite from a Astral Lord whose nearly invincible which were the reasons he became Head Magician for Alzano's team despite his lack of rank and magic skills.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Although the novel and many characters keep mentioning Glenn is just a normal human being, it's rather complicated if that's rather accurate or true, because of his connection to Namenloze [[spoiler:who even refers to him as the person that shall become her master and it's implied that Namenloze is an angel or god of some kind]].

She finds herself to be very much attracted to Glenn, though his overall shameless attitude and tendency to make fun of her prompts her to keep a healthy distance between them. As shown during her "fiance's" visit to the academy, she's at the very least entertaining the possibility of a prospective relationship with Glenn.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Lavender hair, rather.

!!Sistine "Sisty" Fibel

* EveryoneCanSeeIt: Her feelings for Glenn are not that well hidden, the only person she fools with her denials is herself, but it's ambiguous how much the person himself knows about them.

* {{Flanderization}}: Played for laughs during the episode 3 preview. When Glenn distracts Sisti while she is busily and briefly recapping the events of episode 2 by directing her attention to a prop representing Melgalius's Sky Castle, she goes into CatGirl mode and chases after the prop while reciting random facts about the city.

* InSeriesNickname: Ruma calls her "Sisty", short for Sistine. Glenn also develops a habit of addressing her as "white cat", due to the cat ears she wears on her head.

* SkilledButNaive: She has an insanely high Magic Capacity and Concentration, knows various types of spells and learned combat tacics form both Glenn and Eve, but her biggest weakness is her naivety which makes her unable to kill a human who's trying to kill her or made her unable to fight back against Sakuya due to Shigeru's mantra guilt tripping her.

* EvilTwin: Play with. In the ninth episode, she has to kill [[spoiler:her sister clones, because she understands that because of certain modifications, they can never become kind and will fight against it until the end.]]

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her last name "Ignite" is spelled that way in the official English release of the manga, but for some reason the SS, "Melancholy of Eve Ignight" spelled it as Ig''night'' thus making it rather confusion what the true correct spelling is.

* WellDoneSonGuy: She mostly fights to be approved by her family and most importantly her father, because she is an illegitimate child and became the heir after her sister couldn't use magic anymore after an accident. This also causes her to make some decisions she isn't comfortable with like only sending Glenn and Sara to fight against Jatice which caused Sara's death. [[note]]She feels a lot of remorse for this and considered Sara to be her only friend.[[/note]]

* FirstEpisodeSpoiler: In the first volume it was revealed he actually used to be a MageKiller working in a black ops team of the Alzano Empire and that he was the one who saved Rumia three years before the series.

* FirstEpisodeSpoiler: Volume 1 reveals that she's actually the supposedly dead princess Ermiana and that she's a Supernatural.

* HairDecorations: Wears a blue hairband which sports white cat ears.

** [[spoiler:With the use of "Eve Kaisur Gunpowder" and his antique gun, "Penetrator He's able to put his own magic characteristics in the bullet which becomes powerful enough to break through any defense and kill the target by destroying their soul, but its drawback is that it has to be shot at point blank range.]]

** He realizes something is off with Illia since he remembers her as a co-worker who encouraged his dream, but he also remembers that the only co-worker who encouraged his ream is Sara which makes Illia suspicious.
** He notices something is wrong with Ellen when her mana capacity is far higher than previous reports, she answered the written exam without looking at the paper and finally managed to get a perfect score which is impossible since the last question comes from Celica's unpublished works.

** She sees Eve Ignite as a love rival after seeing how [[LikeAnOldMarriedCouple she interacts with Glenn]] and believes it's only a matter of time for them to resolve their differences and go out with each other which motivates her to get closer to Glenn.
** She also sees Celica Arfonia as a love rival since she's the person closest to Glenn and went with them on their trip along with Sistine and Re=L to keep an eye of them while also spending time with him.

* CoolKey: [[spoiler:The "Silver Key" she got from Namenloze allows her to bend space, she's later able to create her own smaller key which can freeze the space around the target]].

* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Sisti.

* HiddenDepths: Although she looks like a pretty simple and innocent girl, Rumia is occasionally portrayed to be very wise. In particular, she immediately understands that Sisti and Glenn have completely different goals for participating in the wizardry competitions, or that Sisti hides sympathy for him for behind tsun-tsun elements. In general throughout the story it was shown she was good at knowing other people's emotions.

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: The reason she she wants Glenn and Sisti to go out with each other is because she believes her status as a Supernatural will eliminate any chance of happiness she gets. [[spoiler:Sort-off outgrows this in volume 10, she still wants Glenn to be happy, but she will also pursue him herself.]]

* MatchmakerCrush: She wants Sisti and Glenn to go out with each other, but she also has feelings for him. [[spoiler:Even after deciding to go after Glenn herself, she still helps Sisti with her feelings, because she still isn't honest and aware of them herself. She is actually worries about this [[{{Tsundere}} trait]] of her.]]

* PowersForADay: [[spoiler:In order to end "Fejite's Worst Three Days" she was given the power of the "Silver Key" from Namenlose. With it she was able to spend space. She loses the power after realizing that she can't go through with her sacrifice and that she wants to be with everyone. She's later able to manifest her own key which has the same abilities as the "Silver Key", but to a lesser extend.]]

* RomanticTwoGirlFriendship: She and Sisti are very close.

* BirdsOfAFeather: This is actually what Sistine and Rumia fear that she may become this with Glenn once they resolve their issues against each other.

* GreenEyedMonster: She feels envy towards Glenn because of his ideals and noble qualities.

* NotSoDifferent: It was actually lampshaded by other characters that she and Glenn aren't truly that much different from each other since they are both people who [[HiddenHeartOfGold hide their true emotions to others]], this is also the reason why Sistine and Rumia sees her as a potentially dangerous rival since the only thing that prevents them from getting closer are past grudges.

* AnimalMotifs: In the light novel, she's often compared to a pup that has grown attached to Glenn and follows him around. This is a contrast to the cat motif of her friend Sisti.

** Volume 9/10 is about her powers and what kind of role they have, but most importantly her growth into a person who wants to live her live to the fullest [[spoiler:which she shows by deciding to pursue Glenn herself while telling Sisti that they should become rivals next]].

Reversed back on him as [[spoiler:Re=L constantly states that she wants Glenn by his side, so SHE can protect HIM, when he was gloomy about his time as basically a mage assassin in the Mage Corps.]]

* WorfHadTheFlu: The biggest reason why 'Leos' was able to defeat him was because he took him off guard since Glenn didn't expect him to have equal fighting abilities as him. [[spoiler:This was actually later on discussed by Jatice in their other fight later on the volume which he also lost since he said the fight might have gone differently if he had "Eve Kaisur Gunpowder" and considering the fact it can destroy its target's soul, it's most likely that it would have been.]].
