* The opening ceremony to the 2012 Olympic games featured a sequence of Daniel Craig (playing James Bond) travelling to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen, leading to them parachuting out of a helicopter into the stadium, with the classic James Bond theme playing no less (made even better with the Union Jack parachutes). Now, for some scenes, body doubles were naturally used, it still means one huge thing regardless: Queen Elizabeth II is now recognised as a Bond Girl.

* ''[[https://soundcloud.com/spectre-podcast Spectre Etc]]'' is a podcast by four guys reviewing every James Bond move ever. Each episode explores a specific movie in extreme detail. They are undertaking the most complete assessment of every bond movie ever. Typically the length of each episode is about as long as the movie itself. While opinionated, it does provide a great deal of context and would be a great companion piece for anyone who was having problems understanding or needing to explore in greater detail a given film. As of March 25th, 2016, they had released the review of ''Moonraker''. At their current pace, they are scheduled to be finished with ''Spectre'' by the end of 2016.

** Craig showing the proper way to do the gun barrel shot.
*** The second opening gambit, involving a chase scene with one of the pioneers of [[LeParkour parkour]]. The suspect runs through a building under construction, and leaps through a window above a door. Without slowing down or breaking stride, Bond ''runs through the wall'' to continue the chase. That one part defining Bond's methods.
*** Earlier in the same chase scene, the suspect runs, vaults, and jumps into the construction site, and turns with his gun, waiting for Bond to follow him. Which he does. '''In a bulldozer'''.
*** And, lest we forget: "Aaagh!! Yeah! Yeah, yeah. Yes, yes, yes, yes. [sobs then laughs] Now the whole world's gonna know you died scratching my balls."
**** "HIGHER! HIGHER! TO THE LEFT!"
** Honestly, ''Casino Royale's'' full of 'em: Bond casually catching the gun the bombmaker throws at him, then throwing it ''back''-('''into his face!'''); the crane jumps; crashing the sneery hotel guest's Rover... (first parking it ''perfectly'', I might add...)
*** There also one in its ''Opening Title Sequence'': [[http://youtube.com/watch?v=WiwxzAZrBR0&feature=related "You Know My Name."]] The whole sequence is probably the best they've done, but at 2:44, when they shoot the two holes in the "7" card? The audience cheered.
**** And immediately following that, "007 - status confirmed". Hell, that whole Opening Title Sequence was a CMOA for Bond, Chris Cornell, and ''especially'' Daniel Kleinman. If those titles didn't make you want to punch the air, you were probably in the wrong theatre.
*** Daniel Craig's confrontation with Mr. White at the end of "Casino Royale" followed by the cut to the credits and [[CrowningMusicOfAwesome the classic theme tune]].
*** The pre-credits scene, filmed in black-and-white when the traitor Dryden says "Don't worry, the second is....." '''BAM!'''. Craig puts one silenced round in his chest killing him instantly; and then finishes his sentence for him, "Yes. ''Considerably.''" Several people in the theater who didn't even know each other turned to one another and said, "'''''That''''' is James Bond!.
*** The terrorist sent to blow up the plane in Miami is epically HoistByHisOwnPetard. That moment where he presses the detonator, looks down at his belt and appears panicked is awesome enough. We [[GoryDiscretionShot cut to]] Bond's triumphant smile, and that seals the deal.
**** He gets a more subtle one before that in a meta-sense. Bond needs to know where Alex Dimitrios is and what his plans are. So, he seduces the man's wife Solange and discovers that Dimitrios is heading to Miami. Cliche Bond logic would dictate that Bond screws her anyway because screwing random woman is probably what he gets as a paycheck. Instead, as Solange goes into the bedroom to await the nookie, Bond orders some room service ("For two?" "No... for one.") and ''leaves'' to go stop an airplane bombing. Bond manages to subvert 40 plus years of Bond cliche and ''saves the fucking day, bankrupting the BigBad in the process'' by keeping his pants on and his priorities straight.

* Quite a few moments for Bond's [[GirlOfTheWeek lovely companions]] spring to mind:
** [[CasinoRoyale Vesper]] is a ball of awesome (and hotness) on legs. Her very first scene involves her and Bond having a duelling {{Sherlock Scan}} moment, and she quickly establishes that she's not your typical Bond girl:
--->Vesper: ... MI6 looks for maladjusted young men, who give little thought to sacrificing others in order to protect queen and country. You know... former SAS types with easy smiles and expensive watches.
--->[Glances at his wrist]
--->Vesper: [[ProductPlacement Rolex?]]
--->Bond: [[ProductPlacement Omega.]]
--->Vesper: [[ProductPlacement Beautiful]]. Now, having just met you, I wouldn't go as far as calling you a cold-hearted bastard...
--->Bond: No, of course not.
--->Vesper: But it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine. You think of women as disposable pleasures, rather than meaningful pursuits. So as charming as you are, Mr. Bond, I will be keeping my eye on our government's money - and off [[EstrogenBrigadeBait your perfectly-formed arse]].
--->Bond: You noticed?
--->Vesper: Even accountants have imagination. How was your lamb?
--->James Bond: Skewered. One sympathizes.
* M.
** This editor personally loved her rant about Bond in ''Casino Royale''.
--->M: And how the hell could Bond be so stupid? I give him double-O status and he celebrates by shooting up an embassy. Is the man deranged? And where the hell is he? In the old days if an agent did something that embarrassing he'd have the good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War.
** Also when she informs Bond that she will have him shot if he says her name out loud. Actually gave this editor shivers.
*** Judi Dench has one of the best "Do ''Not'' Fuck With Me" voices ever.

* Felix Leiter, James' buddy from the America, has become quite the badass in the new movies.
** In CasinoRoyale, he saves Bond with some good old fashion money from Uncle Sam.
* The 1967 ''CasinoRoyale'' even manages one, where out-of-retirement Sir James (David Niven) wins a game of catch ''with stone cannonballs'' against a group of much bigger Highlanders.

* ''Awesome/TheWorldIsNotEnough''

** Brosnan in ''The World Is Not Enough'' with the "I never miss" line.
**** For ThisTroper it was him righting his tie under water in ''The World Is Not Enough''.
***** From the same movie, '''Christmas Jones:''' (In Russian) "You speak English very well for a Russian." '''Bond''' (In Russian): "I studied at Oxford.". Just when the audience thinks she's rumbled him, he [[AssPull pulls fluent Russian out of his hat]]. Whether the Russian is accurate or not, I don't know, but it sure was cool on screen.

** And picking just ''one'' moment for FallenPrincess [[TheWorldIsNotEnough Elektra]]? Cannot be done. For added fun, multiply Elektra's awesome quotient by ten simply for being more awesome than [[ShallowLoveInterest Christmas Jones]]. If we had to pick... she ''slapped JamesBond'' after he ([[spoiler:correctly, it turns out]]) diagnosed her as having StockholmSyndrome.
*** I always read her as sort of having [[LimaSyndrome Reverse Stockholm Syndrome]], [[spoiler:seducing her captor into going along with her.]]

** This troper has to give credit to Dr. Christmas Jones for being able to disarm a nuclear bomb while travelling at high speed in a pipeline inspection rig. Even though the bomb was never nuclear, [[HowDidYouKnowIDidnt she didn't know that when she volunteered.]]
* M's use of a clock and a GPS locator card in ''TheWorldIsNotEnough''.

* I personally like the scene in {{The World is Not Enough}}, where this goes down:

-->Bond: [[TitleDrop The world is not enough]].
-->Elektra (sneering): Foolish sentiment.
-->Bond (nonchalant): [[OnHerMajestysSecretService Family motto.]]

*** Domino's scene is even better in the original novel, where the moment takes place underwater, with light framing her (and her hair) almost angelically as she saves Bond. There's no dialogue, of course, but it more than makes up for it by actually portraying the massive trauma and exhaustion she had to overcome in the process.
