* Despite losing, there's the sheer fact that [[CurbstompCushion Mega Charizard X was able to put up a fight against WarGreymon]]in the finale before getting shredded. Keep in mind that [=WarGreymon=]'s Dramon Destroyers are outright lethal against dragons, AND that it was said that the weaker Ultimate level [=MetalGreymon=] would be more than enough to win for the [=DigiDestined=]. And despite all of that, Mega Charizard X was able to survive and put up enough of a fight that Tai got involved himself.

* Kid Buu [[MakeMeWannaShout tearing]] his way out of Kirby's stomach dimension after being eaten, perhaps the first creature who's ever succeeded in such a feat.

* The fight, in general, is ''extremely'' well animated for a sprite battle, with both Ryu and Scorpion's animations looking very nice. It may be one of the best animated Death Battles, and it's backed up by having ''[[VideoGame/MetalGearRising A Soul Can't Be Cut]]'' playing during some of it!

* [[UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny Two of the most famous Giant Monsters in history finally going head to head!?]] It's literally the Goku vs Superman in {{Kaiju}} and one that people have been waiting for for years.

* Remember that hilariously bad Flight scene Godzilla pulled off? Death Battle turned that ability into something awesome, using the Atomic Breath to slow down and redirect Gamera's path ''and'' slow down his fall back to Earth from Gamera's attack.

* Godzilla no-sells Gamera's Mana Cannon, throws Gamera into the air when he tries his Suicide Ejection Technique, and uses the Red Spiral Beam to not only push him far enough that the explosion doesn't hurt him but pierces Gamera's shell. This is Gamera's ultimate attack, one that reduced the far-more-powerful Legion to dust. Godzilla emerges a little bloody, but otherwise completely unharmed. It's then you realize just how far Gamera is outclassed.
* Gamera grabbing Godzilla, flying with him out of the earth, then performing a SuplexFinisher from space. As mentioned above, Godzilla managed to escape, but had he been against a less versatile or durable Kaiju, Gamera would have won the fight right there.

* Early in the fight, the Terminator throws Robocop into his squad car and blows it up with a grenade launcher. Of course, Murphy's not going down that easy and flies out of the flames in his jetpack and says gives us this great one-liner. "[[FalseReassurance Good news]], [[DeadlyEuphemism you are no longer under arrest]]."

* Shao Kahn being the victim of the Nightmare Booster combo, but getting up without a scratch and complaining, "Is that your best?".

* The rematch is in fact a direct sequel to the first fight, with Superman having gathered the Dragon Balls to restore Earth. Think about it for a second: the Dragon Balls probably went everywhere due to the EarthShatteringKaboom. [[FridgeLogic This means]] Superman had to look for them all across space. And he did it anyways to bring Earth back, even if he knew it would mean bringing Goku back as well. In short, Superman saved the Earth once again.

* After getting rid of his opponent's Fighter ability, Kid Buu shows that he's far from completely mindless by throwing a brace of ki bullets to shoot down and damage the Warp Star so it can't fly, [[KickTheDog slapping it to Kirby's side with a gloating laugh]]. However, this turns out to be a mistake as Kirby inhales the Warp Star, taking away his main method of keeping up with Buu in a fight [[DidntSeeThatComing (to the creature's own surprise)]] as the music wells up. Summoning the [[ForbiddenChekhovsGun Star Rod]], Kirby immediately goes on the offensive with star-shaped energy blasts from his grounded position.
** To his credit, Buu regains his bearings and shoots them down with his own before [[FlashStep using his speed]] to attempt [[NoItemUseForYou kicking it out of Kirby's grasp]]. Kirby snatches it out of the air and responds with a [[KamehameHadoken star-filled energy beam]] reducing Buu to LudicrousGibs of pink goo. Unfortunately, as anyone who watched DBZ would know, it's not enough and Buu [[FromASingleCell regenerates]] before firing a ki blast to blow up the Star Rod outright.

* After getting rid of his opponent's Fighter ability, Kid Buu shows that he's far from completely mindless by throwing a brace of ki bullets to shoot down and damage the Warp Star so it can't fly, [[KickTheDog slapping it to Kirby's side with a gloating laugh]]. However, this turns out to be a mistake as Kirby inhales the Warp Star, taking away his main method of keeping up with Buu in a fight [[Didn'tSeeThatComing (to the creature's own surprise)]] as the music wells up. Summoning the [[ForbiddenChekhovsGun Star Rod]], Kirby immediately goes on the offensive with star-shaped energy blasts from his grounded position.

* The final moment of the fight, naturally. Kirby '''completely incinerates Buu''' by redirecting his strongest attack back at him with the Hypernova and pushing him into the sun. Practically everyone was saying their prayers for the poor little Star Warrior and he ''actually won''. It was like Yoshi vs. Riptor in a much heavier weight class.
* The best part is just how hopeless things looked for Kirby- He was crying and lying in defeat as Buu charged his best attack while looming over him mercilessly... but then the ''second'' he turns into Hypernova Kirby and the Hypernova theme begins playing, it becomes pretty clear who's about to win.

* From a meta-perspective the very notion that Scorpion becomes the ''first fighter ever'' to avoid the trivia of "if anyone attacks before the FIGHT! sound clip they lose".

* A meta-example: this specific match-up was said to NOT happen simply because both characters were too similar to each other. However, as with Snake vs. Sam, the team deciding to give this a shot and settling one of the most requested DC vs. Marvel grudge matches counts.

* On a meta level, the voice actor for the Terminator does a spot on imitation of Arnold's performance.

* Something on a meta level that might overlap with a crowning moment of funny. Long before the fight was officially announced, Ben would often make jokes about how this fight would be "easy to animate" of just a dark room, gunshots and then turning on the lights to show who won. Not only is the fight itself beautifully animated and clocks in at 6 and a half minutes, but a dark room with gunshots ''actually happens'' and isn't so much the whole battle as it is the beginning of the climax. So...awesome in hindsight?

* For a meta example, Creator/XanderMobus gives us a fairly convincing 90's Wolverine impression.

* After [=WarGreymon=] gets hit by Mega Charizard X's Blast Burn, Tai gets involved by beating up Red, ordering the Pokemon Trainer to call off Mega Charizard X.
* Mega Charizard X standing a chance against Greymon and manages to make him degenerate back into Agumon. It looked like it was lost for Agumon until he warp-digivolved into [=WarGreymon=].
* The transformation into [=WarGreymon=], the [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic music]] that plays during it and the final part of the battle is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgudF-hVlDA Uncontrollable]] from ''Xenoblade Chronicles X'', which perfectly captures the final clash between Pokemon and Digimon.
* How does the fight end? After a battered-up Mega Charizard X crashes into Red, breaking the trainer's legs in the process, [=WarGreymon=] finishes the fight with [[FinishingMove Terra Force]], killing both Red and Mega Charizard X.
* [=WarGreymon=] is the first being to have defeated Red's Mega Charizard. In a CurbStompBattle to boot, that should count for something. Not even a wild ''Mewtwo'' can beat Mega Charizard!

* Red taking a page out of Ash's book and having Charizard attack a cliff to use against Greymon, to which Greymon retaliates with a blow of his own.
* Really, the entire premise is two of the iconic monsters and their partners of rival franchises going at it against each other. What more can you ask? It's practically the video game (Anime in Tai & Agumon's case) version of Goku vs Superman and Godzilla vs Gamera.
