The movie was released in Japan on July 13, 2018. At the end of the movie, a second sequel was announced as ''Anime/MewtwoStrikesBackEvolution''.

The teaser was revealed in December 2017, the first trailer was revealed on February 26, 2018, and the second was revealed on April 8, 2018, revealing that the movie will also feature the third mythical Pokémon from Generation VII, Zeraora.

''Pokémon: The Power of Us'' ( 劇場版ポケットモンスター みんなの物語 ''Pocket Monsters the Movie: Min'na no Monogatari'' Everyone's Story) is the 21st ''Anime/{{Pokemon}}'' movie. While it takes place [[Anime/PokemonIChooseYou in the same universe as the previous movie]] and features Lugia like ''Anime/Pokemon2000'' did, it currently appears that the story is vastly different from ''Pokemon 2000''.

Its international release, as well as its name for international markets, was announced on July 30, 2018. It will receive limited theatre release in the United States on November 24, 2018.

Once a year, a "wind festival" is held in Fura City, the city where people live together with the wind. On the final day of the festival, the legendary Pokémon Lugia will appear and give the people the blessed wind, a promise said to date back to the distant past. Lisa, the highschooler and Pokémon rookie. Kagachi, the braggart that just can't stop telling tall tales. Trito, the timid researcher that lacks confidence. Hisui, the old eccentric that hates Pokémon. Largo, the mysterious little girl that hangs around in the forest all by herself.
