openGacha Mobage Videogame
The mobage have 1 protag. The gacha is only for getting weapons. The battle is kinda timing based with attack and dodge, iirc. the boss of the first stage is an overgrown lizard. and the boss of the first world is a dragon, the stage system is probably close to how Brave Frontier is. there are several raid that mostly consist of dragons, with their own weakness of certain weapon type or element. the game is probably already down.
Sorry for my poor wording
openProbably oldish cartoon
Hi!
So, i've been wanting to ask someone about this. There's this one cartoon that i loved that aired on a cartoons portuguese channel many years ago and i cannot remember the name!
I know it was about a bunch of kids who had these special stones (cubical shaped with symbols in them) and each set of stones had a different power for each character. I can't remember the name of any of them, i do know that there was one of them that summoned a rock monster with his stones and i have this clear image in my head of a part of the story where something goes wrong and the guy and the monster merge together so half of the body was the guy and the other half was made of stone. It's been bothering me so much because the name of the cartoon was translated to portuguese (which i can't remember) so i have no clue of what the orginal name would be and i would love to find it and try to rewatch it.. anyone?
Thank you!
openPossibly defunct atheist website
There was this atheist web site that was sometimes serious, sometimes joking. One thing I remember is they had a facetious "Evil Atheist Calendar" and one of the holidays was something like "Day of remembrance for those poor lions who choked on pieces of Christians". Even if is defunct I am hoping I can find the URL so I can look for it on the Wayback Machine
Edited by BootlebatopenMid 00's youtube AMV Music
I remember this animated music video. It sounded kinda like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50dngX7mb8c&list=PLXsbd-d7oaBdtZre9JHqVWfh9RCNmVS7U&index=78&t=0s
and the main chord/tune whatever sounded like that of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df0rlvjxl_A&list=PLXsbd-d7oaBdtZre9JHqVWfh9RCNmVS7U&index=53&t=0s (it's at 2:30.) The visuals from what I remember looked something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5jH0MHZTDE&index=50&list=PLXsbd-d7oaBdtZre9JHqVWfh9RCNmVS7U (sorry about the links, I'm bad at explaining things.) It was made in either 2009, or 2008. I think it was about a space man. But what I remember for SURE was how much it reminded me of Bit.Trip (a game that's really nostalgic for me tho I never played it, that's the main reason why I want to see this song again.) It was fast-paced and had a sorta "retro" vibe. Please help me if you can.
Update/Extra Details: The animation style was hand-drawn and kinda sketchy-looking. While the colors were quite bright, but the contrast was kinda dark (from what I remember). The "main tune/whatever" thing that I mentioned up top was played on a xylophone, and here's something that's probably pointless but...
I remember somebody commenting something like: "When my cat had *insert illness here* when I'd play this song, I'd imagine the one side of the fight as the illness, and the other side as the cat fighting it off." It wasn't EXACTLY like that, but that's what it spoke of in general. The video took place in a city at night (overall, it looked inspired by NYC.)

There's this Horrid Henry episode that I'm trying to find the name of. I don't know the plot, but all I know is that there's this part where Henry imagines Peter getting launched into the sky. It would be appreciated if someone could give me the name of it.

openNICKELODEON 80S COMMERCIAL Live Action TV
Still unsolved ...
In a late 80s Nickelodeon commercial featuring Valentino bags, a scientist wants to watch 'kids only weekend', so he makes a youth potion. However, when he drinks it instead of turning into a child he turns into a baby. The announcer then says, "Sorry babies are too young to watch 'kids only weekend.'" I saw this on the Fountain of Youth trope page, but I vaguely remember seeing this. I used to watch Nickelodeon a lot in the 80s-90s. Has anyone else seen this? I tried googling this and searching on You-tube but found nothing. Thanks in advance.
Edited: Kids only weekend was featured on Nickelodeon from 1985-89. I searched at many commercial blocks on You-tube from that time and found nothing. Please help, thanks.
Edited by thestormtrooperopenkids choose your own adventure books Literature
A slightly more modern version of choose your own adventure, this series featured a boy and (I think) his robot dog companion. They were illustrated and had choices where each decision moved you onto a different page and you had to find the right path that wouldn't get you killed/trapped etc.I think the boy was blonde and I remember a story about a problem on a space station and I think there was also one about a hall/castle of mirrors.

Edited by realBLITZ3DopenA Western Film Film
I think it was a B Western. At the beginning, a soldier is on a cliff overlooking a valley and several Native American tribes pass bye - which is worrying to the soldier because it looks like tribes such as Sioux, Cheyenne, Apache, Blackfoot etc are joining forces. The remarkable thing is, for some reason, the soldier takes his boots off and obviously his ragged socks stink and he buries them and puts his boots back on and then sets off the raise the alarm at a fort. Can't remember much more but I assume it's the usual fair that the Cavelry save the day.
openShort Cartoon With Toy Characters Western Animation
Recently found myself trying to remember what this one short cartoon was. I saw it on a recording of a few hours from a Cartoon Network airing I believe dates from around the time their logo was still completely spelled out rather than the CN we now have been all too familiar with. I think its original purpose was a time-killer just to keep up with the thirty minute episode schedule the channel generally ran with at the time. The whole thing was nothing too special or with characters known for years like Tom and Jerry or the Looney Tunes, if I remember correctly the cast was just a bunch of toys walking and talking similar to Toy Story putting on a show with the main attraction being three dolls known as the Dolly Sisters singing a song about their mommy. Another defining trait that gave a bit of an idea of when this cartoon must have been produced was another toy I guess was also a doll trying to blow up a balloon but instead the air went back inside her resulting in chubbiness.
- Quickish Update-The Christmas cartoon I was thinking of is The Shanty Where Santy Claus Lives, what I remember is something of a less racist full color non-Christmas version. I guess the balloon thing was something of a caricature to a famous woman at the time I am too young to understand the reference of...?
openIsland challenge show Live Action TV
There were people having to do challenges on an island. All I really remember is that tuere were 2 people (maybe 3) that had to do a rock-paper-scissors thing but they had these giant stones. They basically selected fire water or earth? Or wind, not sure which. Whoever lost had to leave the show.
openAlternate Dimension Movie Film
It was a film in which a girl disappeared years ago after a ritual involving standing in a circle. In the present day, another girl does the ritual and rescues the first girl from an alternate dimension. I remember it had two alternate endings that added in bad CGI aliens in the alternate dimension.
Solved: It's The Watcher in the Woods!
Edited by Levitatoropen"We are the Night/Light", calm sounding, similar to "Teardrop" Music
I heard this song while I was walking the other day, it was very nice sounding. I remember it was a calm sounding pop or electronic song that reminded me of "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, especially the vocalist. The only lyric I was able to make out were "we are the night" (or something similar, I've begun to think that it might be "light" as opposed to "night") repeated multiple times, but sadly, it seems that's a fairy common lyric, so finding it has been a hassle. I've already tried searching it along with terms like "Massive Attack", "female vocalist", "electronic" and "Elizabeth Fraser" (the guest vocalist from "Teardrop") but have been unable to find anything so far. Any help would definitely be appreciated.
Edited by IHateMyselfAndWantToDieopenunknown Live Action TV
I think it was on ABC after the 11pm news on Friday or Saturday, in the late 1970's or early 1980's. The show was kind of an Archies/Scooby Doo mashup, i guess - centered around a "rock band" who were teens/20 somethings who dressed in different spooky costumes - i remember one guy dressed as a vampire and had dark hair, sort of Rick Springfield looking. In each show there was a mystery to solve and the band played a tune or two. I imagine it didn't run for very long. I've searched the interwebs for this and I'm beginning to think I dreamed it! Help me, TV Tropes, you're my only hope!
openNo Title Live Action TV
I remember a TV show that really wasn't great, but I can't seem to find the name. P Lus I think I'm getting a little mixed up with Half and Half cast/storyline for some reason. It's about 2 teenagers. One is very posh, she lives with her parents in a penthouse at the top of the building. A couple of floors down, the other girl lives with her mum (who I think is the posh father's former lover ? ) they are not posh at all, quite poor even, I think the mum works a lot to support her family. That girl has a best friend who is very handsome (and I think a little dumb). She has natural curly hair, the posh girl has sleek straightened hair. The whole cast is black. I think the girls were frenemies and become very close, not sure about that. I think the posh mum is jealous of the former lover and therefore she struggles with that woman's daugher, who also doesn't know the codes of their lifestyle, making her more annoying to her. I think the "poor" one is a journalism/cinema student, and she has a crush on her hot best friend. This is all I remember, could someone help me ? I'm losing my mind over this !
openCouple Transfer their souls into younger people in order to live forever. Film
I remember the opening is set in like victorian times maybe? husband is having sex with wifes sister. Quickly we find out the husband is using the sister so he can transfer his dying wifes soul into her sister. I think it then skips to modern times, a old man is investigating this giant house he looks at the window and vagules sees a young black girl but the man that lives there insist the older man is seeing things. Eventually we find out the man living in this house is the man from the opening scene and him and his wife have been using black magic (maybe taught by the young girl) to transfer their souls into new people in order to live forever.
I remember the show being based in England but it may be American i cant remember. I thought it was a movie but I believe it might have been a 1 hour tv episode? I don't know.
been looking for this tv or film for years
A film, that may be non-English, at the end two boys discuss events. The scene is a bit desolate and I seem to remember that there were a few Bergman moments of 'silence and contemplation'. It was quite atmospheric. Any clues?
