resolved Edit War alert
Yesterday, One User Name alter image caption in Dating Sim by add irrelevant note to IL-2 Sturmovik. I remove it with edit reason that it is irrelevant.
They add it back today. That they said "I has enough of this" in said note suggest grammar problem as well.
Edited by Kuruniresolved BigNameFan
The trope's description says it refers to a person who, while not officially associated with the company that produces a given work, is still widely known in the fan community, and possibly by the producers. themselves, and it's not to be confused with a Big Name / Important Person who turns out to be a Fan. However, most of the examples seem to refer to the incorrect meaning. I'm curious if the accurate definition is widespread enough to be troped.
resolved Characters/Fire Emblem Videogame
So... I just added Dragalia Lost to the Fire Emblem Characters page under crossover as FE characters were in the game as part an event. I even implemented notes for each element to indicate the characters. However, one of the notes had Marth in it just like the note for Super Smash Bros. Melee - 18 to 22, when the note next to Dragalia Lost Recruitable Adventurers Flame is clicked, the one by the smash opens up instead.
I don't know how to fix this.
resolved Edit War ...Death Battle again Web Original
In Jul 23rd 2019, qwigly added this to DeathBattle.Tropes A To C as an example of Bloodless Carnage.
- In the span of Weiss Vs Mitsuru, Mitsuru actually manages to draw more blood from herself (via the Evoker) than she does from Weiss
In Jul 27th 2019, ironcommando edit the entry to following, with "Evokers don't draw blood." as edit reason.
- In the span of Weiss Vs Mitsuru, nobody lands any bloodletting hits despite both combatants being impaled at two different points of the battle.
Today, qwigly edit it back with "Someone probably should have told Torrian that, as there is very clearly a blood effect when she fires her Evoker." as edit reason.
- In the span of Weiss Vs Mitsuru, Mitsuru actually manages to draw more of her own blood than she does of Weiss's, via the Evoker..
As someone who played Persona 3, I can confirm that it doesn't draw blood. And rewatching that episode of Death Battle, it's not really look like blood either.
resolved Troper PhionixPowers
Recently, Phionix Powers add some troublesome entry in Real Life pages.
It's ZCE. Wordy, but not explain what the trope is about.
This was added as two bullets entry of Ascended Extra. Not only it's bad Example Indentation in Trope Lists, but also misused.
From YMMV.Real Life
I sent ZCE and Indentation notifiers to them already, but it's clear that they're clueless. Doesn't help at all that their edit reason is mostly "Remove if necessary."
resolved Administrivia / CreatorPagesInMain
Is there anything left to do with the Creator Pages In Main page, as it no longer has any examples to be moved?
resolved Launched trope?
So a trope was launched from the TLP titled "Human Raised By Fairies". I feel it is a good trope and has potential. The problem I have right now though is that it was launched with six hats and three bombs. Seems like it was improperly launched to me. Which is why I ask if a mod okay-ed this launch?

I think they're either confused how the site works or a troll. They've been putting RWBY: Heroes United everywhere and have a bad case of Serial Tweaking. I don't know whether to ask if they need help, or ask exactly what they're trying to do. They add stuff only to delete it a few minutes later, or vice versa. They also created Trope Entry Template for some reason?
I'm just baffled and at a loss what to do (if anything).
Edit: Looking at the Trope Entry Template Page, presumably they are the author of the fic since the name is the same. If that is the case I think they tried to put their own fic on the RWBY Fanfic Recs page (though they removed it).
Edited by EmeraldSkyresolved Hilarious in Hindsight misuse
Hilarious in Hindsight is meant to list when aspects of a work are made more humorous by future events. However, HilariousInHindsight.Avengers Endgame seems to have the examples doing the opposite, with it listing aspects of earlier works that are made humorous by Endgame. I noticed this form of misuse on various other pages as well.
Edited by costanton11resolved YMMV/DarkPhoenix Issue Film
patriciovalencia117 recently instituted a change in the Audience-Alienating Premise section.
Before:
- Audience-Alienating Premise: The film ended driving away many fans owing to on-going production shenanigans and its questionable creative decisions. Right off the bat, Fox's decision to adapt Phoenix Saga story didn't inspire confidence given how the studio's previous stab at the story line, the much maligned X-Men: The Last Stand, was a low point for the franchise and its poor reception ended up tainting the image of the Dark Phoenix alter-ego and story. Further hampering enthusiasm was the controversial hiring of Simon Kinberg as director; while Kinberg produced the critically acclaimed X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past, his involvement in the much-contested X-Men: Apocalypse and his lack of directorial experience left fans cautious about the project. There was also the matter of fans perceiving either Days of Future Past or Logan as the Grand Finale of the setting, which caused lowered interest in this movie. And even if most of the audience could forgive all that, near the end of 2017 Disney had made a bid to acquire Fox's film assets, and it was considered a Foregone Conclusion by many ever since that not only would the acquisition go through (which it eventually did in 2019), but that Disney would pass responsibility for making future X-Men movies onto Marvel Studios (with the possible exception of movies that star Deadpool, who Disney themselves hinted and eventually confirmed would be staying at Fox to avoid tampering with his R-rated nature), and that a hard Continuity Reboot was inevitable as a result. Ultimately, all these factors coalesced into a movie that financially fell below already-modest expectations.

Ultimately, all these factors coalesced into a movie that financially fell below already-modest expectations. (Note: The "ended to ended up" change and "adapt Dark Phoenix story to adapt the Dark Pheonix story" edits were done by Stardust Soldier.)
I have issues with this edit.
1. No edit reason to explain this. I'm guessing it was supposed to be a compression issue but that wasn't well-explained. This edit is not so self-explanatory as to require no edit reason.
2. Factual inaccuracy: Disney did not "buy out Fox". They acquired PARTS of Fox that were sold off because Rupert Murdoch wanted to get out of the film-making business and focus on expanding his news empire. Let's get that straight.
3. The edit makes it seem like that acquisition was the only part where enthusiasm started being dampened, even though Disney first made their bid back at the tail-end at 2017 and the possibility of the acquisition going through had ample time to fester in the public consciousness. I find it incredibly difficult to believe that was not a factor.
4. Errors in grammar and mark-up. "Fox and it film assets" indeed, and Marvel Cinematic Universe should be linked to.
Edited by MinisterOfSinisterresolved Improper namespace.
I found Disambiguation.Red Moon Rising. I don't believe this is a proper namespace. Should it be in main as it is a disambiguation page?
resolved Plot Holes
On both PlotHole.Total Drama and PlotHole.Total Drama Presents The Ridonculous Race, it says "Disclaimer: Some of the examples listed fall more under the category of Series Continuity Error instead of a plot hole. But for the sake of argument, said examples will be allowed to stay on this page. " Is this allowed, or should such examples be removed?
resolved Tropes on UsefulNotes
Per this ATT thread, I removed the trope lists from UsefulNotes.Katanas Of The Rising Sun and UsefulNotes.Armos With Armor, as Useful Notes don't get tropes unless they are applied to fictional depictions. However, they've been added back. Should they be removed again?
resolved Fanfic Rec removal question
Asking because I am uncertain on the policy. Can fanfic recs be removed for this type of reason?
"Removing "Harry Potter and the Order of the Bleached Phoenix" because two tropers gave it bad reviews. Also removing "demons of the Sun and Moon" because the author of the fic is an adamant anti-Bleach stan."
This is from here. gorobestboy removed the fic recs before but I put them back because no removal reason was given. They removed them again with the above edit reason. For reference, are these types of reasons valid ones for rec removal? I thought only the recommenders could remove the fics they recommended.
resolved Serious Business in SCP Foundation Web Original
Yesterday, Doctor Nemesis added following as example of Serious Business.
I removed as being too generic. They add modified version today
And claims that it's no worse than the first entry.
Should it be removed again, and if so, should the first one removed as well?
Note that its entry in SeriousBusiness.Web Original has none of that. It has only one In-Universe example (there were two, but I've just removed the first one).
resolved Avengers Endgame Unfortunate Implications
From YMMV.Avengers Endgame under Unfortunate Implications:
- The fact that society seems mostly functional from what we see of it after the Time Skip (reliable electricity, food available in sufficient quantities to supply restaurants, Cassie feeling safe enough to live in her old house) gives the "Thanos was Right" crowd a lot of ammo, especially after videos makers like Dorkly and Renegade Cut made videos explaining how his plan wasn't just evil, but thoughtlessly counterproductive for solving problems mistakenly associated with "overpopulation." The implication is that overpopulation was really the problem and not various issues like Corporate Greed and mismanagement and that the only reason to resurrect those lost was strictly sentimental value.
Are these sources credible enough to serve as citations? The Dorkly one is a comedy video, so I'm not sure it counts.
resolved Trope for showing a live-action actor resembles animated counterpart
Example that I'll give is that in the Library War movies, Chiaki Kuriyama was casted as Asako Shibasaki.
It'll be YMMV if she almost resembles her... But in terms of the hair only though... -_-''
resolved Where should I add this trope? Film
Hi everyone!
I noticed that the trope If I Can Only Move heavily applies to a scene about 10 minutes into The Last Jedi; however, I'm not sure whether to add it to the page for The Last Jedi or if I should instead add it to the Resistance Starfighter Corps page, as this trope applies to one of the Corps' members (specifically Paige Tico, the one whose movement or lack thereof is pivotal). If someone could help me figure out which trope listing to tack this onto, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for any help!

Do Darth Wiki and Sugar Wiki entries go on YMMV.Home Page? I found one Darth Wiki entry (Most Annoying Sound) and seven Sugar Wiki entries (Awesome Music, Funny Moments, Heartwarming Moments, Moment of Awesome, Most Wonderful Sound, So Cool, It's Awesome, and Visual Effects of Awesome) on that page. Are these valid uses?
