Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

webguy1's edits are all spam, including replacing the entire text of How Indexing Works with an ad.

Okay, so animated films go under "Film - Animated" in example lists.
What about namespaces? "Film/" or "Western Animation/"?

Is there any way to undo a cut page?
The circumstance is that I was trying to cut-list a misspelled page (Sesquipedialian Smith), but on my first attempt I accidently spelled the title correctly (Sesquipedalian Smith). As soon as I realised, I added a note to the correctly-spelled page's discussion explaining and asking for it not to be cut, but it was cut anyway.

Is there any way of retrieving old Lost And Found entries that have fallen off the bottom of the page? (Preferably by specifying the name of the user who asked the question?)
I have a bad habit of asking questions on Lost And Found and then forgetting to check for answers until it's too late.

MagicallyMe keeps on removing a certain example on the Protagonist-Centered Morality page for the show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. I really don't want to start an edit war, so I came her first.
Here's the example that keeps getting deleted
- In "Boast Busters" Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack take issue with Trixie's magic show and boasting, despite all three doing plenty of boasting themselves and begin heckling her for little if any reason. By the end of the episode Trixie's home and possessions are destroyed by an Ursa Minor and the main culprits of the bear being brought there, Snips and Snails, get mustaches as 'punishment'. While Twilight is the one to (indirect) humiliate her, Twilight's friends were practically gloating at the ruination of someone else's livelihood and home for behavior less problematic they themselves have and would do.

What namespace should I put an article on the Children's Party at the Palace? I want to put in the British Series index but since it's coverage of a one-off event I'm not sure the "Film" namespace is appropriate.

Has anyone else received a PM from tvtutor99999 inviting them to download an EXE file that supposedly contains a video tutorial about doing namespaces properly?
Speaking as someone who was taught never to accept EXE files from strangers, this thing's setting off all kinds of alarm bells.

Do I understand correctly that, with the new namespace-agnostic custom title system, it's not possible to give Series.Mystery its correct punctuation (Mystery!) without the same punctuation being applied to Main.Mystery as well?

Historical Plot Armor has been launched with no hats and only one actual example.

I've just happened across an episode recap page with its own Trivia subpage.
Is that supposed to happen, or should there be a single Trivia page for the whole series?

Is the Creator.JimmySavile page appropriate?
On a quick look, most if not all of the listed trope examples are attempts to apply tropes to Savile's actual life, which we're not supposed to do on creator pages. Did he actually create many tropeable works?

Break the Believer has been created without properly launching the associated YKTTW discussion, which has only two hats and several not-ready-yet tags.

resolved Mislaunched trope: Opening The Flood Gates
The ykttw discussion Opening The Flood Gates (Hats please?) has been launched with the title Opening The Flood Gates Hats Please.
Is there an easy way to fix that, or does it need to be relaunched?
Edited by PaulAresolved The Sandman (wrestler)
Hey, is it okay if I just recreate the Sandman wrestling page and have it as a redirect to the Jim Fullington page?
Yet another of Those People: mercuryfan is apparently not a fan of spelling and punctuation.
