openI have no clue Film
It's an old movie, the background was simple and black, and all the characters resembled stick people. There was no sound other than the music, and the n character was a blue stick boy that worked really hard trying to get up to the surface, from the society that lived deep underground. At the end, he escaped with a girl, and they saw the sunset for the first time at the end.
I know this is really obscure, but I would love to find this movie again.
openNo Title Live Action TV
I saw it in Russian, not sure what the original language was. It was probably a part of non-interconnected series (not long enough for a movie). The plot was that a woman hires an assassin to kill her brother. They go to the house where he is supposed to come next day and spend the night there (together). The next day, the brother arrives... in a wheelchair. The assassin says he can't do this, to which the woman replies it's fine - the plan wasn't to kill the brother. It was to kill the assassin, who was the one to put him in that wheelchair.
Edited by OmeganianopenSci find TV show
I think it was about 15 years ago that I saw a movie that might have been a part of a tv show. The episodes were about 1-2 hours long(not sure), in color, they were all about sci-fi themes and had a twilight zone kind of vibe to them (might have actually been twilight zone but which episodes?). I'm almost sure the language was English, at most french (I saw it dubbed). The episodes were not related between them and were meant to be independent stories. I only saw 2 and here is what I remember.
First episode plot: 2-3 students investigate a man(possibly scientist) who is either missing or is a campus urban legend. I remember very clearly a scene when one of them sees a poster of a hummingbird in flight and has an epiphany when he sees that the bird's wings become invisible because they are moving very fast. They figure out that the man they are looking for has somehow(possibly through the use of a potion/serum) entered a plane of reality where everything exists so fast that it becomes invisible. In another scene they are able to briefly experience this effect themselves, I remember how they are walking and everything around them is stopped in time. One of them picks up a ball and throws it and it just froze in the air. By the end they are able to find and see the man they were looking for, he is old with long white hair, the accelerated existence made him live his entire life in a few days and he is near death.
Second Episode: I only saw a bit, it was about a middle aged woman who somehow came into possession of a strange stone, about the size of an ostrich egg, it was suggested that there is something paranormal about this stone. I remember a scene when an acquaintance of this woman (a doctor/chemist/scientist), while visiting her, notices the stone and asks if he can scrape a bit off to take to his lab and investigate it under a microscope.
That's it. Please help me find the name of the show and specifically these episodes or at least the first one.

My Dad told me about part of a movie he saw the other day and he doesn't know what it's called. He said there were three people (two guys and a girl) at a bus stop at like four in the morning. Another man started harassing them, so they hid themselves in a building of some sort. After a while, one of the guys decided to go out of the building and try to escape, but was killed. A minute or two later, the guy and girl lost sight of the killer, and someone tried to get into their hideout. They kill this person, thinking it was the guy who killed their friend, but it turns out to be another random guy. My Dad said he watched this for about an hour before he turned it. Thanks in advance!
PS: Sorry the description isn't the best. I'm going off what my dad told me, and it is very possible he could be exaggerating or getting some details mixed up. I will gladly take a more detailed, more accurate account if you know what movie he saw.
Edited by NemoHerringopenProbably british tv kids show?
A girl and a man in a bee's costume living in a house. There is a pirate in the wardrobe in the house. The house overlooks a mall. The show is british i think. I think about 12 years ago. The girls name is Tracy and the bee wears goggles.
Edited by Ron96openhostage situation novel Literature
I can't remember the name of a novel I read a summary of once. A group of wealthy (?) people are held hostage at some function. I think it takes place in the far east or somewhere 'foreign' like that. It had a big cast of characters but one of the plot points was a couple fall in love despite not even having a common language/being able to communicate. The woman in the relationship was definitely one of the hostages but I don't remember if the guy was also a hostage or an assailant or what. I think the hostages are released in the end.
openChildren's Book About a Quest for a Peach? Literature
This was a children's novel that I read when I was around 8-12 years old. It focused on a queen who wanted a fresh peach (or possibly a different fruit/food, but I'm pretty sure it was a peach). However, her kingdom didn't have any peach trees, so the peach would have to be imported, and by the time it arrived it wouldn't be fresh anymore. So a famous explorer puts a peach in the middle of an iceberg and tows it behind his ship. He arrives back in the kingdom just as the iceberg fully melts and delivers a perfectly fresh peach to the queen.
Here are a number of other details that I think I remember, but I may be wrong. The explorer had a long-suffering sidekick. The book was from a series focusing on the explorer. I remember the title being similar to "Bartlett and the Peach", but I can't find this title via google. The same author also wrote a series of books about a girl who lived in a large apartment building and was good friends with the resident baker.
openStill haven't found it Anime
Thanks for previous suggestions. But no prevail sadly. The show has the same quality as avatar. Like people looked the same and animals as well. It had a mystical feel. There were people and beasts living together. They may have turned into the beasts a bit hazy tho so might be wrong. Scenes i have some recollection of are a house on a floating island. A fight between monsters at a temple. It may have been aired on Cartoon network or nickelodeon about 8-9 years ago. One of the characters had short curly hair may have been blue. Tbh, just looking for a hail mary. So any suggestions or websites you can offer to help me find it would be great.
Cheers
openStairs behind the couch? Live Action TV
It was a kids show.
The only thing I remember about this, is that there were two guys in a room that was completely white, but of course the shadows made some things look gray.
And that they could go down some stairs behind a couch that was in the middle of the room. If they would go through one door, they would come out another in the same room, or up the stairs.
It wasn't creepy at all, but reading back at this, it seems so haha. It was cheery from what I remember.
openThat one movie...
I'm not sure if it was a movie or a series, but it was most likely for children. I only remember very vaguely the protagonist saving a comic relief character, who then proceeds to get the protagonist's life into danger again and again, even going as far as to tell the main villains his location, so he can in turn save the protagonist's life and pay off the debt.
I don't even remember if it was animation or live action - but I think it was animation.
openSouth American Fantasy Romance Show Live Action TV
Okay, this is a long shot because I don't know how to describe the show because I've never actually seen it, I've only seen pictures years ago. It was a South American show, I'm not sure what country, possibly Brazil but I can't say for sure. I think it's a kind of fantasy romance but I know for sure it has very elaborate pastel amd candy coloured sets and costumes kind of Alice in Wonderland vibe to things. If I remember correctly the female protagonist has pastel pink hair. I think it's set in a cute little neighbourhood and she's just moved there or something like that. I'm pretty sure it had a long title in a language I don't speak. So yeah, very cute and colourful kind of Pushing Daisies aesthetic but more like a period piece with puffy sleeves and parasols. I know this is so little to go on but I really loved those pictures and I've been looking for them everywhere.
openNo Title Music
I once over heard a song at work which had a lyric something like "there is going to be a Accident better call an Ambulance". But they pronounced it more like "HAX-ident" and they pronouced "Ambulance" oddly as well. They definately over stressed the first syllable in each word. I think by the end of the song it just him saying those two words over and over. The way he pronounced HA Xident has been stuck in my head for a decade.
It probally was something clubish. Would have been around 2005, give or take. I think the song was about someone's lover cheating on them and there going to be an "accident" when he catches them.
I think the person who was listening to it told me the singer was a rediculously tall, thin, drag queen.
openTechnically a MLP fanfic but very hard to find Western Animation
There is this one MLP fanfic about Canterlot being destroyed by a dragon, and Celestia died too and teleported the Mane 6 to a snowy location . They make there way to the Crystal Empire to tell Cadance that Shining Armor died. That’s all I remember
openA car crashing simulator Videogame
I played the demo of a simulator where your only objective is to break the car a couple of years back on PC. The playing area was just flat asphalt with ramps, moving sawblades and stuff like that. The car was red and there was a button you could press to fix the car if you totally broke it down. Edit: Nevermind, I found it. It’s Beam NG demo Edit 2: Wait, it’s actually Next car game
Edited by AnonymousAnakinopenA Criminal TV Series Live Action TV
I saw one episode of this TV series a while back (not over 1 yr ago) It is a criminal series, and the main character I believe is a psychologist, he is a white male that I believe wears glasses. What I remember about the episode is that he had to go to a dinner that he did not want to go to with another white male, and the other guy was talking to him and he coughed or something and the main character thought “what a liar” or something like that. Then he got a phone call and left, I don’t remember what happened after that but then a mayor or someone was shot. And the main characters friend (I believe an Asian male with long hair) was believed to have killed the mayor and he asked the main character for help. THE MAIN CHARACTER IS NOT A LAWYER. It all happened on some reservation. And there was a scene with a large hallway (in the court room) and there was another lawyer helping the friend. I searched up the show a while back and the picture showed the main character with his arms crossed and smiling. I think the shows name had something to do with the main characters name. Whenever I search “psychology show” nothing pops up :(
openBuffy The Vampire Slayer The Comics. Print Comic
I'd love to see the tropes from the comics added to the page of the Buffy page. :-)
openMedieval Donald Duck Print Comic
A series of Disney comics set in the Middle Ages, possibly two different ones:
One where Donald Duck is a feudal overlord. One of his men ends up becoming a noble (I think he inherited a title) and leaves, so Donald goes with him as his squire and prevents him from doing anything himself (as nobles have servants for that). After a few days of Donald cooking all the food and doing all the fighting, the man declares he doesn't want to be a noble anymore and returns to Donald's castle (Just as Planned on Donald's part)
One where Daisy is a Viking princess who sends her men on raids because she can't stand living in a barbarian tribe instead of civilization.
openNeed help!!!!!!!!!!!! Anime
Been annoying me for years now. Its a tv cartoon show. Sort of like avatar the last airbender cartoon, with the same graphics and mystical land aura. The humans can turn into beasts of some sorts. All i can remember is that there was some floating islands and the beast bits. It was on tv around 2010ish. Cheers
openSci-Fi Movie with Underwater Sphere and Movie Where Man Impersonates Translator Film
I have two movies I'd like to track down. I saw parts of both of them on TV a few years ago.
1. Two guys (I'm almost certain there were two) are in the desert and appear to be lost, and they watch from on top of a sand dune as some arms dealers meet with some clients down below. I believe both groups had camels. The two men get spotted and are told to come down, so they comply. They are asked if they are the translators, so to get out of trouble they say that they are. As I recall, they speak gibberish to one group and english to the other, and manage to get the two groups to fight. I seem to remember the men eventually ending up at some kind of concert or something later on, and that one of the men might have been a writer.
2. People are exploring deep under water, and they find a large structure (perhaps an ancient spaceship or submarine) and get inside. It appears to be the work of aliens. They find a large levitating sphere with a mirror-like surface inside, and at some point someone ends up inside the sphere. I think at least part of the time it was rippling. I also think that when they were inside the sphere it basically simulated their real life so they didn't figure it out right away.
My memories about this game are very fuzzy, so it might not be exactly as I remember it. I played this game around 2005 or 2006 on Windows XP. I don't know when it was made, but it didn't look really dated. When you start a new game, there are three pictures representing the three classes you can choose. First is a warrior or something like that, I don't remember the second, and the third is a wizard or a mage or something. Every class gives you a different story, but I only played a little bit as each one, so I don't know whether there are three completely separate campaigns or they all eventually lead to the same plot, like Dragon Age: Origins. Anyway, in the game you control a single character in a top-down perspective in real time. The camera is un-moveable and un-rotatable and follows your character.
In the "warrior" campaign you start in a village with some NP Cs, and a bit later you go to a cellar or some room like that, and there are big poison spiders (their attack caused you to take damage over time). In the second campaign you start somewhere outdoors, but then you spend a lot of time going through some winding tunnels of a cave or a mine. And in the "mage" campaign you are on path going through some forest, and as you go, wolves attack you and kill you very quickly (or at least me, who sucked at games back then). In all campaigns, the environments were more or less linear, but you could explore a bit and find equipment or food. I know this is not much but it's all I can remember.
