Hey Tropers, I've got some gun pr0n from our armory I felt I'd share, so here goes!

Here's Some Guns For Y'all

I'd give some extra information on each link but I had to email the pics to Tueffel so he could host them since things like imageshack are blocked for me. Pictured are some M14's, M1's, M79 Grenade Launchers, 249 SAW's, M16's, M4's, a box of M9's and a halfway disassembled M9.

We also have some 240B's(Basically an M60 with different internals) that are on the rack above the 249's.

Holy shit, it was a grenade launcher. I'm honestly surprised I ID'd that, I don't know jack shit about guns outside the Mosin Nagant, M1911A1 and P90.

Armories all seem to look the same ;) Reminds me of the air force base armory I spent some time in in the cadets back when I was sixteen or so.

Mostly correct Tueffel, the white furnitured rifle near the SAW's is someones civvie rifle that they were keeping there at the time. The Woodland camo rifle in the corner is an accurized M14 like Tueffel stated.

Well Morven that would make complete sense since it's an Air Force Armory. :P

Not pictured are the 240B's, and the M4/M9 racks that line the entire armory. But it's all the same guns so those are boring, that is the back area which is more reserved for specialty weapons and odds n ends. We also have 203 attachments laying around, but we don't carry them on patrol. We actually don't have any explosive 40mm grenades for the 79's or 203's, just tear gas and smoke.

I'll take apart my M9 and M4 and do a thread on the inner workings of said guns for anyone who's interested in a few days. Promise tons of pics.

I was thinking of getting a war hammer and name it Mr. Biscuits for kicks. I was thinking of getting a .38 for carrying though. And I've met people who decided to go the Rambo route and make a knife out of a leaf spring. I also met a dude who carries a sai.

.40 cal is the best of both worlds in World Of Darkness - recoil that can be easily controlled by most starter characters and rerolling nines. Lex uses a SIG P229 and Nick has a S&W 4013 with faux ivory "Ace of Spades" grips. I'm not a fan of Glocks, though.

If I were to use one It'd be a heavy pistol of some kind.

Well the .38 was for carrying concealed (when I get that license). If I wanted something for kicks, I'd get a silver .454 Casull and a black fifty cal

The Sanzo and Vash and Jigen fangirl in me wants a revolver. But the practical-minded daddy's girl in me knows I'll fuck up everything I try related to firearms, and that if I ever do gain anything resembling proficiency it will have to be something with a scope because of my eyes.

Off a range, you're not going to hit anything with a handgun at more than twenty-five meters or so. Eyesight shouldn't matter too much at that kind of range.

Personally, I've got a nerdy lust for the Mateba autorevolver, although I'll probably go for something a bit more practical if I ever buy a gun. I'm really more of a sword guy, though.

Oh, it's not just that my nearsightedness is horrendous, it's also the fact that my eyes don't work together as well as they should; in fact either will only perform at top capacity when the other is closed.

I should really wear my glasses more often.

Well, to aim a gun you'd generally be closing one eye anyway.

@Norn: that Mateba gun looks nice, though it's probably more expensive and less practical than a magazine-loading automatic pistol anyway. I wouldn't mind owning a Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver, too, being a much earlier (1901) implementation of pretty much the same idea.

Proper shooting techniques include both eyes open or one partially closed. Completely closing one eye ruins your depth perception. Expert shooters also suggest a slight 2-5 degree inwards can to give the pistol sights a more natural sight to eye alignment :P you can hit a target with a pistol at 90 yds. I was better with pistols then rifles, go figure.

Ithink this would have to be my favourite gun.

I've never fired one or anything, I just like the look and the mechanics of it.
