(I'm not sure where this really belongs, so I'm putting it in YF for now. Mods, feel free to move it to Forum Games if you think it fits better there.)
The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.
EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

I gush all Chaotic Neutrals.
This is a signature.I gush to all the Neutral Good aligned people, for knowing that while there are some rules necessary for society to function you should never be compelled nor ordered to do what some claim to be "good." In my mind, there is a very thin line that separates Lawful Good and Lawful Evil.
Living The Fever DreamAh, ok. I'm type 2 neutral good, apparently.
Yay me. I got gushed on.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'The main problem I have with Lawful Good is that they're the kind of people who tend to automatically assume Law=Good. Problem is, that's not always the case, as demonstrated by Lawful Evil. No matter how much someone tries to base law off of what is right, it never is truly what it should be. Problem I have with Chaotic Good is they tend to forsake all law for the sake of good, even the ones necessary to avoid He Who Fights Monsters.

Countergush.
Being 100% neutral always ends up being slightly evil in my opinion.
What about us Lawful Good types? Don't we get a gush? :)
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Well wouldn't that make them Neutral Evil?
Also I meant any Neutral. Lawful Neutral, Neutral good, Chaotic Neutral (myself), Neutral Evil, and of course True Neutral.
Yay! Even under group-gushings like this, this is the most I've ever been gushed upon! Never have I been so covered in gushings!
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'@Silently Honest If you haven't learned yet, you will soon that I am terrible at trying to express my opinions/views, I just cant make them clear for some reason, but I'll try my best to explain what I mean by using a real life situation that I know of.
During World War 2 the Republic of Ireland was neutral, which led to a bit of an awkward situation because Northern Ireland, part of the UK was not. At one point, a large number of bombs were dropped on a small village (which everyone presumes to of been a mistake) just over the border in Northern Ireland. There was pretty big chaos after that and there were huge fires.
I'm probably butchering this story and getting lots wrong, so spare me. Anyway the whole reason I'm saying this is that the Irish Government decided to break its neutrality and send firetrucks to the village to put out the fires, help civilians and clear collapsed buildings and stuff. What the Republic of Ireland did was completely wrong in terms of neutrality, but had they had not helped the dieing people literally 5km from them and stayed truly neutral, wouldn't that of been at least slightly evil?
That probably didn't make any sense. Sorry!

I understand what you're saying fine, and that's a long conversation for another thread that I'm sure has been argued countless times. I'm not going down that road with you, but I'll give you the short of it.
Neutral alignments don't mean you never do anything good, or never do anything bad. That's not it at all, a Neutral alignment means you're just as likely to do either, as much as it means you are likely to do neither if that makes any sense. If someone was dedicated to being 100% Neutral, they'd in fact be Lawful Neutral which means they hold themselves to certain rules that they'll not stray from, and in this case it would be to never stray into Chaotic, Evil, or Good.
