Hm... nope. Completely out of character for her. Even now.
It'd almost be especially now, since Ansem gave her new hope and all that.
I have a message from another time...Until some kind of Deus Angst Machina gives her a pair of Jade-Colored Glasses, that is.
Except that would be poor writing in a series that has been reasonably devoid of that in my opinion. Seriously, it isn't going to happen in anything official.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yeah, but of all the hack things Nomura's shown that he's willing to fall back on, Deus Angst Machina isn't one of them.

NOMUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!! >:(It'd be an interesting premise for a fanfic, though, where it's much more forgivable to play around with characters' personalities.
someday we will foresee obstaclesyep.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I would still prefer Sora as the big bad of KH 4.
I just want a sympathetic antagonist who has been hurt by darkness and wants to take the Suitengu route.
Or something to that effect.

Maybe once the Xehanort Saga is finished.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! And see, that in and of itself is a good idea. Especially since it would really push the points the series has been trying to make about how there must be a Balance Between Good and Evil... they've already implied with Eraqus that Light Is Not (Necessarily) Good (or at least, it can lead to stupid decisions as easily as darkness can), so it only makes sense they should go the rest of the way and have enemies who are light-centric later on.
Derailing a pre-existing character like Aqua, however, is not the way to go about it. Especially not when she has shown no indication of turning evil and if anything has more hope about her situation than she first did when she entered the Realm of Darkness now that she's met Ansem and heard about Sora.

NOMUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!! >:(Master Eraqus will be the next Big Bad.
I still say Sora could become a good light centric villain with some character development.
Pre-KHII Sora, maybe. But now I think Sora and his friends are fully aware that Dark Is Not Evil, and it'd take an awful lot of Character Derailment to change that.

NOMUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!! >:(Well I was thinking about the possibility of him being one with KH and essentially becoming God. Considering Sora's desire to make everyone happy he could go a bit Knight Templar to achieve this if he's given that amount of power.
I dunno. This far into the games' Myth Arc, it seems like too much of a stretch for such a developed character.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThere would be a time skip involved.
My main reason for thinking that would be an interesting idea is because Sora's main trait is that he wants everyone to be happy and protected, even people he just met. Give him the power of a God and I could see him abusing that because Utopia Justifies the Means.
That's pretty much what I've been saying about Aqua.

Sora would not make a good light based villain. Because he knows that Dark Is Not Evil. Becuase he uses Darkness himself. I mean, everytime Sora creates a Dream Eater, or links with a Dream Eater, and everytime he uses the Shadowbreaker command, he is using the power of Darkness. If Sora tried to wipe out all of the Darkness in the universe, he would be killing all his Dream Eater friends. Which may or may not include Riku.
As for Aqua...maybe.
I have no idea. I'm not sure whether she believes Eraqus's Dark Is Evil diatribe. I'm not sure she ever did actually. Aqua did not come across to me as someone that would kill a being of Darkness just because it was Dark. Neither did Eraqus really. Ven was pure light, but Eraqus tried to kill him because Ven was Xehanort's tool for getting the X-Blade, and that would be the worst thing ever.
Eraqus didn't try to kill Ven because Darkness was evil. He tried to kill Ven because Xehanort was evil. And that is a big difference.
...On the other hand, spending an uncertain amount of time in what is essentially the universe's version of Hell is unlikely to have made her more sympathetic to Darkness. And I say uncertain because I'm pretty sure the bit about time being compressed in the Realm Of Darkness is just a theory. It could be like Lightning Returns, where aging is stopped, but time still passes in a noticeable fashion.
Eraqus did not set out on a campaign to eradicate every dark being in the universe. What he did do was try to stop Dark beings that upset the balance by threatening the light. He wanted the Unversed stopped, not because they were Dark, because they weren't Dark, just Negative, but the reason he wanted them stopped was that they were threatening the Princesses Of Heart. Which was bad.
He didn't want to kill Ventus because Ventus was Dark, because Ventus wasn't Dark. He wanted to kill Ventus because Ventus could be used to give Xehanort the X-Blade which would be bad. Very Bad.

Word of God confirms Aqua's belief in Eraqus's teachings.
This, coupled with her fierce devotion to her friends, doesn't make it implausible for me to imagine her becoming a Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds-Knight Templar Big Sister for their sakes.
Plus, who doesn't want to see Master Xehanort become an Asshole Victim?
But what she really wants to do is come back to where her friends are and help them. Teachings or no, Aqua is too much of an inherently good person to do something like that.
I have a message from another time...But if she starts seeing darkness as a perpetual threat to her friends, then hello Well-Intentioned Extremism.
But that's the thing: Aqua's such a Girl Scout that I don't think the "Extremist" part would ever be considered an option from her perspective.
I sure said that!I just don't see it happening. III would have to put her through a Trauma Conga Line of such unparalleled magnitude (which, in turn would have to be well-written and believable at that) for Aqua to even consider that course of action.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadBesides, the friend turned evil thing was already done in Kingdom Hearts I... only for a combination of Evil Is Not a Toy and The Power of Friendship to undo it. Why would they revisit it again, especially if it involves turning one of the more popular characters like Sora or Aqua into villains?
They didn't need to have Riku be the central villain to have the Heartless/Nobodies/Unversed/Dream Eaters be interesting, they created Xehanort for that, and the odds are if they go to have light-centric villains they'll create another new character for that too.
NOMUUUUUUUURAAAAAAAA!!! >:(
I said Anti-Villain, which means:
The Dog Bites Back (with a Mind Rape-Vigilante Execution to Master Xehanort)
Roaring Rampage of Revenge (against all darkness for the Downer Ending of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep)
The Atoner (who seeks to avenge her friends' suffering in order to make up for failing to protect them)
Knight Templar Big Sister (who is determined to ensure that darkness can never harm her friends again)
