Tip Of The Iceberg uses Megaman sprites. The heading was "fan works" so that's probably why sprite comics are there, since they use copyrighted sprites mostly.

Dramatic Readings would likely fall under Web Original.

But is the world of the story intended to have any connection with megaman? Without that intention, it's not fanfic. The sprites aren;t enough. After all, select them carefully, and you probably tell the story of Cinderella with them.

I'm a little late, but how about this for the badge?

If I shrink it a little, we could even overlay it on the guy typing images.

Putting the dramatic readings in Web Original is reasonable enough, though there should be some link to them from the source work too. We could create a namespace for them, but it might be rather empty.

Tip Of The Iceberg doesn't appear to be a fanfic, so can be moved to web comics.

That still leaves six to resolve:

The simplest thing to do is to dump them all in web original, except for Benders and Brawlers, which can go in web comics. This isn't exactly good practice - none of the namespaces should be mere dumping grounds - but we can't really leave them where they are, either.

The six unpublished works in the Troper Works namespace can stay put for now, though an Unpublished namespace may be viable. It could contain both works being eagerly anticipated, and the ones that were never quite finished. However, that's a separate issue, which can wait.

Anyway, once the fate of the non-fanfics is settled, Fast Eddie can move everything in the Troper Works Fanworks folder to its new home, barring the six unpublished, and declare the ghetto closed.

We now have a Roleplay namespace the RP can go into. Haven Quest appears to be basically an RP with stylistic trappings of a game, so that'd go there too. The comic to Webcomic, of course. The fanfic is a fanfic even if we can't find the source so put it under fanfic. Abridged series go under Web Original don't they?

The unpublished works will probably go under fanfic as well but keep track of which ones they are so we can stick a banner on them. The alternative is Darth Wiki, but not everyone wants theirs there.

Has anyone looked at the Unpublished Works folder?

ALSO. Wut. Why is We Are Our Avatars back in Troper Works?! Was it never moved? And new links have been added in the Troperworks namespace.

Am I allowed to move things, and is there a proper procedure for doing so? I could keep an eye on the Troper Works index, namespacing things and sneding PMs to the creators to let them know where it went until the habit of using Troper Works dies down.

You can move things - just create a new page where they should go, and leave a redirect behind - but since there are a few hundred pages involved, most of them actual fanfics, it's much easier if Fast Eddie moves them in one go.

If Ever Shadow Genesis isn't a fanfic, it belong in Web Original; otherwise it can go in with the rest. Your other suggestions all look fine. The unpublished ones were listed earlier in this thread, so they can easily be labelled.

If no one else wants to comment, I think we're ready for the actual move.

Yeah, I was thinking more after we finish the mass migrations, having the page on my watchlist so when people make new Troper Works in the wrong namespace I can move it with a PM telling them to make it in the right space.

I can go through Unpublished Works later today, I'll have some time on my hands in about two hours.

So what, is Troper Works dead or not? This is confusing.

The namespace is going away, because every Troper Work is a Work and thus belongs with the rest of the works instead of tucked away in a ghetto.

The index will remain so you can find out what works are made by tropers here.

Unpublished works will probably have a banner indicating their unavailability.

So then why are there things still in the namespace?

hooray for triplepost, but: I also think we need a "How To Write A Troper Works Page" page, including "We're interested in the list of tropes, not every scrap of info you care to dump about the world" and "Write like it's a real work because it is" and "Try to avoid 'I' and This Troper just like in non-Troper work pages".

So, how much percent of the Troper Works had you moved?

Oh, and there should be a page relating to the phrase This Troper.

Excuse me, but World War X is Troper Works. It's not just a Role Playing game.

It's still on the Troper Works index, so I fail to see the problem.

When the content was moved, the original page was turned into an empty place-holder where I had to post a link. It's an unnecessary thing, and mildly irksome.

Well, the Troper Works namespace is going away by order of Fast Eddie himself, so there's not much you can do about the move. I turned the old location into a redirect, since apparently it's the target of off-site links, and I corrected the wicks for you so that they all point to the correct location.

Any idea which Thursday? Higher priorities must come first, of course, but it would be good to get this change finished.
