This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

The Michael Cole page contains a Fridge Brilliance example that belongs into the Fridge page I just copied it into (and hopefully, set the right page type for). Could it be removed from the main page? Yes, I guess these are the best solutions to The Chick and America Saves the Day.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, the Compensated Dating page has the following blatant Natter line in the Anime&Manga folder that must be axed: • I'm not sure if Billion Girl falls under this trope, but it sure as hell tries.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman- 1476:
- I dropped the Angel example from The Chick, putting that de-nattered version on the discussion page. The details don't clearly relate to the trope: engaging in combat isn't either-or here, far as I can see.
- Did America Saves the Day.
- 1477: Michael Cole. Man that page is full of bile. Dropped Fridge Brilliance.
- 1478: Compensated Dating. Moved that example to discussion. I'm more used to thinking of natter as an inappropriate response tacked on to an existing example (usually with crappy Example Indentation). But it's got a self-insert and lacks details as per How To Write An Example.
The Troper Tales closure notice misspells the word "discussion".
Monster.Western Animation needs a lot of work. First, these series should be moved from Main/ to Western Animation/:
- Animalia (title also needs to be italicized)
- Avatar: The Last Airbender (which also needs to be changed from its old ptitle)
- Batman: The Brave and the Bold
- Sonic The Hedgehog
- Sonic Underground
- South Park
Also, Charlie Adler, San Francisco and Warner Bros should be Wiki Worded. And in additrion to all that, San Francisco is misspelled as well.
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"Oh, and I forgot: The Secret Of NIMH's title should also be italicized.
"But... nobody told me I needed a signature!"Interdimensional Travel Device had all its content deleted and I worked hard on creating this article, but it was all deleted. Can somebody put all the information back? There was no conflict as to the information being posted.
It was cut. See here. Please use YKTTW to propose new tropes.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The Bible has a couple of instances of 'Pharoah' that need to be replaced with 'Pharaoh'.
Nevermind then. I've taken care of it.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanPRLC isn't locked.
1481, 1485: done.
I'd like to add the following example to the Barack Obama page, if nobody does mind (but feel free to remove the last eight words):
- Sham Ceremony: Averted. His swearing in was slightly off due to the Chief Justice screwing it up, so they redid it later to prevent nuts from claiming he wasn't president.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhy should it be added if it's an aversion? Unless a trope is onmipresent within a certain genre or franchise, Averted Tropes aren't worth mentioning.

Because they took pains to guarantee it was an aversion. If we're troping Obama anyway, it's definitely noteworthy.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI still don't think we should be troping real people, whether it's Barack Obama or George Costanza or Natalie Portman.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I agree. And that isn't an aversion. An aversion isn't any kind of non-applicability or negation. If it was, you'd get dumb things like "Big Bad: Heavily averted. Twilight Sparkle is not even a villain, let alone the prime one driving all the bad events."
Come to think of it, we do get things like that.

That would be a Defied Trope.
she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeOn Main. The Bible, there's an entry for Flame War that needs to be removed because it is not an in-universe example and there is already an Internet Backdraft entry on the YMMV page.
I deleted Fanfic — feel free to put it wherever it's appropriate. (The thought of a Fanfic Recs page for The Bible amuses me for some reason.). The Fanon example is tagged as in-universe. I guess the Fanspeak entry would also be trivia? I'm not sure, but I also removed it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Can "Character X from Show Y fits this trope to a tee/T" be added to X Just X as one of the common variations of it?
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."I'm loath to make that change because editing a faux-redlinked page like X Just X removes the red and requires Eddie to go reflag it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

For America Saves the Day:
