The only real surprise for me was Furiko. I wasn't expecting an expy of my cousin. The resemblance is scary.
Was I ever part of your unwanted reverse harem, Furiko? If so, I humbly apologize and recuse myself.

How does a Reverse Harem work, anyway?
EDIT: So it HAS a trope...
EDIT 2: it was just a redirect, isn't Unwanted Reverse Harem redundant? why Reverse, anyway?

Meaty: Like I said earlier but I forgot to tack on that hilarious cheesiness that comes with being a peppy happy nurse despite your evilness.. and your a brunette.
Real Life rwby roseInstead of a bunch of girls glommed onto a hapless guy for mysterious reasons, it's a bunch of guys glommed onto a hapless girl for mysterious reasons.
Strictly speaking I suppose this still qualifies as unwanted and (colloquially) a harem, but in practice it's played with the first set of genders much more often.
I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard.I guess the fact that the only Unwanted Harem I've watched is Ouran would explain my confusion... In any case, I said it before, I'll say it again, Matrix looks exactly like he sounds, his voice fits his looks so well it's scary.
Being horny is mysterious now?
Well, there are some cases that defy explanation...
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuLittle Serge: For some reason, I think you look like a Canadian Mountie. Your name has "serge" in it, like "red serge", the dress uniform of the mounties, plus your avatar is red. I now imagine you posting while riding a horse through British Columbia.
Fawriel: Sorta girly-man? With a goatee? No offense, but your original signature picture kinda colored my perceptiion of you.
Jinxed Blackcat: Exactly like your avatar, with the braid and hands-on-hip gesture.
Matrix: Your voice on Vent leads me to believe that you're a tiny little guy with a lot of extra energy.
Mint Pearl Voice: Diminutive and sorta like the forum's little sister.
Tangent 128: Like a guy you'd pick out of a IT department.
C Trombley: Like some of the other posters here, I'm lead to believe that you're an older gentleman seated in a reclining position.
Jethro Q Walrustitty: Like a crazy Scandinavian guy, but since your name has "Jethro" in it, you are also an anti-aircraft K-bot with guided missiles in your shoulders.

Hmmm...I wonder what people's mental image of me is like.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comThe Gentle Giant, Lee! That's how I've imagined you.
@Adam: Yes! That is awesome! I didn't even realize the pun until now, it was totally unintentional. Heh, as a Canadian, I would like to say that I'd probably be better suited for service in the "Great North Woods", where I'm from. :P
“This happy breed of men, this little world, this precious stone set in a silver’d sea.."Funny story, that. They actually sent me an invitation to join the International League of Bishies, but I ended up not passing the entry requirements because my nose is too manly. 'Tis sad, it is.
On that note, I think of you (Minty) as Ahiru. I have no idea how you could possibly look otherwise.
Lee, I still think of you the way you looked to me in your first avatar, with the sheepish smile and all. It makes you look even more like the guy you first reminded me of.
I can't think of any other mental images right now except one... well, two. I still think of Zephid as the plague dude. But I just realized yesterday that when I think of AOD, the person that pops up is, well, the guy who plays Ma-Ti from Captain Planet. ... Yes!
I tend to imagine people as whichever avatar I first remember them using that had a face on it. Which somehow makes me imagine Bobby G as his Chaz avatar all the time. And Fast Eddie will always, always have his head on sideways to me.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Reynardine has no face?
But don't let that change your perception of me as Charlie! Charlie is awesome!
*misses Charlie-Chaz *

Feedback Of Heteronormative Gender Stereotypes in AnimeWell, I did say it was whichever one I remember...
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...@AOD: Well, the guy who played him in that That Guy With The Glasses video anyway. Who's... actually Indian.
This may or may not be an improvement!

I wish I had such imaginative mental images of other tropers.
Like I said in the Troper Theme Songs thread, I think of THX 1138 as a robot. Korgmeister as well, thanks to that avatar.
I tend to think of everyone as looking like their avatars. ^_^
There is glory for those who defy their fate.So I look like a grizzled bandit to you?
To me, Fawriel is the first avatar I saw him using with the color scheme of his most recent one.
So, green man-ferret.

It makes me wonder...
I also think of everyone as looking like their avatars.
Though how little I look like my avatar makes me want to post on the photo thread. Lemme see if I can find any photos of me.
EDIT: No good recent ones. Lemme see if I can find that digital camera.

I'm convinced that our modern day analogues to ancient scholars are comedians. -0dd1So...Nommy is ME?!
Not actually back.
@Matrix: I actually did have long greenish hair at one point, but I cut it, and the temporary dye washed out. Now I look like a shorter Haruhi Suzumiya.
I agree with the first poster of Matrix being a Cute Shotaro Boy. And I think Fawriel is a Bishōnen.
There is glory for those who defy their fate.
