Alright, confess odd things.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

Thank god I'm not the only one.
simple asDidn't say it was. I brought it up as a series that both is clearly influenced by and frequently references anime.

The only comics I read are ones that are in their own universes (as in, not connected to the main ones) or ones based off Batman: The Animated Series (Also Batman 66', I read that too)
Why don't I read any others?
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.Tower Defence is my favourite videogame genre.
to be fair with DC, they literally chucked their entire company's continuity out the window a few years back for better or for worse, so you don't need to worry about so much with that anymore
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. That's true...but it's still kinda daunting
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.Despite being an English major, I can't count syllables.
I mean, I'm not a native English speaker, but you'd expect one to be able to do so after getting a bachelor at English...
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. That's tricky even to a native speaker, because of diphthongs and such.
I've been camping in the town that Lyme Disease was named after. But thankfully, despite tempting fate in such a blunt manner, I didn't get Lyme Disease.
Really, my chances of getting Lyme Disease weren't any higher than in any other campsite in Connecticut, but it was still eerie.
While we're on the subject of syllables. I never figured out how many syllables were in "really." Is it "ree-lee" or "ree-all-ee?" As a result, it's a real bitch to make haikus with.

Long live the New Bev.I've always heard it ree-lee

It can be both, I suppose, but I'd err toward ree-lee.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I.simply dont understand what makes people share videos and etc. Or even make people care... any ideas on how to convince people? Sincerity and honesty just dont cut it but I don't want to lie.
I come up with OCs for odd things. That is, I have two for bloody Watership Down
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.I used to dislike Steven Universe too, but when a former friend made me sit down, watch all of it, and MST it with them, I fucking loved it. I'd say you have to watch all of it instead of doing it in parts, because virtually all its strength is in the characterization and continuity - it's not a Monster of the Week show, it's a single good story that's told very, very, very slowly - and I see why anyone coming to it in the middle would have no idea what the appeal is.
Not the thread for this, I know, but since we were already talking about it and that's kind of how conversations work (at least IRL), thought I might as well pitch that in.

Project progress: The Adroan (102k words), The Pigeon Witch, (40k). Done but in need of reworking: Yume Hime, (50k)It's the same way with Stargate SG 1.
If you watch random episodes, it seems rather average, but if you watch it from beginning to end, it's amazing.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseUnfortunately, I've shit on a lot of fandoms over the years (although, in my defense, mostly in my head, not out loud) because I didn't realize how true that is about TONS of shows.

Project progress: The Adroan (102k words), The Pigeon Witch, (40k). Done but in need of reworking: Yume Hime, (50k)I think part of that is because (this isn't directed towards a certain show, just in general) the first season is rarely the best season of a show. With some exceptions, fandoms don't usually become huge during the first season. When the myth arc gets going, and things really start getting good, that's when the fandom starts going and praising the show as the second coming, etc. But when a new person decides to watch the show because of how good people say it is, they have to watch the first season first. (obviously) So based on people's reactions they're expecting the second coming right when they start watching season 1, when actually what people are reacting to is season 2. But in the new person's eyes, these people are freaking out over a show that's not even that good. It's that dissonance that keeps people from getting into shows with large fandoms, I feel. That and Hype Aversion
Going back a bit to the food discussion, I remember getting kids' menu stuff that was just smaller portions of things on the regular menu (like silver dollar pancakes with eggs and bacon instead of full size pancakes, a smaller portion of chicken tenders, a Happy Meal, etc.) but not like... ordering mac and cheese at a fancy restaurant.
At home, I tried a little bit of everything. Some of my favorite foods as a kid were the things that kids are supposed to hate according to media stereotypes: lima beans, liver, broccoli, spinach...
And now I'll try pretty much anything except like... live bugs or worms or something.
Stupid doomed timeline...I remember being at a huge Chinese buffet, and there was this little girl and her mom there, and the little girl wanted to try a bunch of the stuff, but then the mom said, "Oh, you wouldn't like that" and then fills her plate with French fries, chicken nuggets, and mac and cheese. Like what's up with that?
When my sister and I were two years old and eating appetizers at the restaurant my mom worked at, people would tell my mom, "I didn't think kids liked stuff like that," referring to "adult" food such as stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari (we weren't allowed to have that all the time, just as a treat), and my mom just bluntly replied "Why not? It tastes good."

what, I ate fried calamari all the time as a kid
of course I grew up in an Italian family so obviously my food palette is more refined than most people's
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I have a strange attraction to military vehicles.
''Annihilate everything.''That's pretty crappy, especially since the kid actually wanted to try some of the food. :/
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Sì lo so

I mix drinks and foods all of the time. Gatorade with Dr Pepper, Shrimp Burgers...
On the plus side, I'm apparently good at it!
Steven Universe isn't an anime. Enigma of Amigara Fault is a pretty well-known horror manga, and it helps that is has some memes with it.
Also I really don't care for Steven Universe. Tumblr loves it to death, though, and I absorb a bunch of info of it via cultural osmosis.
Life is hard, that's why no one survives.
