Alright, confess odd things.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

I hate Titanic, too. I would have had the sense to stay on the raft.
I've just plain never seen it.

I posted on this site before when me and my friends thought that this site was the lamest imaginable, they forgot about it now and I created a new handle to make sure my secret stay's a secret.
No I did not trip and fall, I attacked the floor and I believe I am winning.I think your memory's a bit fuzzy.
They proved that you can support two people on the door, if you tie the life jacket to it.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI got a little peeved when, in the base for the last battle in Neverwinter Nights, the dwarven NPC you befriended earlier would just greet you with "Oh, hello." ^_^;;
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Spoilering for non-bronies and for those that are not invested in the fandom. I find the eponymous character of Ask Fluffle Puff to be a Mary Sue. She just annoys me to no end (never-ending cuteness, somehow able to seduce a main villain, unexplained existence etc.) Yet most of the fandom loves her. At least she's non-canon.

The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy.I want to visit various parts of the American south and visit various battlefields of The American Civil War to see the more preserved ones, just because I know how well preserved they are, and how much effort has been put into keeping them as they were.
"Did you expect somebody else?"Agreed. Everything that's wrong with stuff that Tastes Like Diabetes, it's all right there.
Also, the mod is a dick.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI'm curious, how much do people outside the States learn about the American Civil War and American History in general anyway?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.In my case, given I'm a little older than most, lots of it concerned Britain's involvement, and our views on both sides, and what that would mean for the war as a whole.
Going into politics though, I learned much more because of how politically important any involvement from any European powers would have been from either side, and it's a demonstration of the failure of normal political process with it.
"Did you expect somebody else?"Apparently the civil war had a global impact on cotton prices , since America was the biggest producer of cotton . and the resulting inflation hurt Egypt's economy , which may have precipitated it's becoming independent from the Ottomans. Or maybe I have that backwards and it was the end of the civil war. We're kinda going thru this stuff fast in my history class

'Some guys in grey thought slavery was good, some guys in blue thought it was bad, they had a fight.'
That's if they learn anything about it at all. It's foreign history and our own takes priority in schools, so it gets left to the universities to teach it.
I'd say that most folk in the UK are only vaguely aware that the US ever even had a civil war.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Eh..... the only US history we're doing at my college is race and american society, so we do touch on the civil war......
A bit, anyway.
Given how much American media mentions the American Civil War, not always the case.
"Did you expect somebody else?"...When I was a kid, I liked Maroon 5. I am ashamed of that now.
Also:
I WAS PHONE
I learned almost no history in high school. I remember literally nothing from US History except:
2. Realizing that, at age 13, I already had some seriously hairy arms
3. The teacher was one of the only ones I had in high school who wasn't outright vindictive toward me
4. Watching Saving Private Ryan and the teacher being trigger happy with the mute button whenever someone swore
And I didn't take world history at all. I don't remember it even being offered.
However, I took a great history class in college last year, and it was by far one of my best experiences in a class ever.

I've always been fascinated by history. I'm actually taking a couple of Russian history classes purely as an elective.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Most of what I've learned about American history was outside of school. I have no idea why the curriculum has fuck-all in regard to the US, and the fact that Pulaski and Kosciuszko were both very important to the War of Independence is merely a footnote: Kosciuszko got his ass thoroughly kicked at Maciejowice, bailed out to the US via France, end of story. Pulaski is given even less focus - he took part in the Confederacy of Bar, wanted to kidnap the king, nothing more to see here, move along. I'm guessing we can all blame the communism for this one.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSo, in British(?) history, are there any mentions of America's expansion and their fighting with the Native Americans there?
Warning: This poster is known to the state of California to cause cancer. Cancer may not be available in your country.Nope. At least, not when I was in school.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Not for me, either - my bachelor's degree mentions it and what happened as a result of it, as a matter of study, but you're not likely to approach it unless you're on an A-Level specifically studying the history of The Americas, or one which looks at race relations in history or as part of sociology.

"Did you expect somebody else?"The only time we learned about it was in 8th grade U.S history( I live in the states if you can't guess) and I was so disappointed at the way we looked at it. What happened was we focused so much time leading up to it then spent a week on it and only learned about the aftermath. Then we spent 3 weeks focusing on the reconstruction after the war which almost was the same thing.
I was a huge civil war fan because of Ken Burns documentary. It focused a lot of time on the battles and the emotional side of the war. So when they announced they where doing it I figured I would get the highest grade I had ever gotten on this part if only because I knew all the ins and outs of the war(more or less) it didn't go over well.
No I did not trip and fall, I attacked the floor and I believe I am winning.I have a strange fetish for graying sideburns, like Ben Stiller's.

Whenever I speak, I either pause a bit, stutter or repeat words I've already said.
For some reason, I go back and forth between the pronunciation of the words either and neither.
I like the words constitute, incomprehensible, incoherent, various and fallable.
3 is my favorite number.
I crack my knuckles a lot.
Don't kill me for this one, but I don't like the movie Titanic.
