well, it doesn't quite suck. it's probably enough for Vindictus but that's an online game, and my internet sucks donkey balls.
I already mentioned a games that I'm interested on in my previous post. My laptop's enough to run Dm C Devil May Cry (which I asked if it's a good choice, since there apparently isn't a demo for PC) as Can you Run It would put it. and as said before, my CPU is insufficient for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (so I asked if it can still be run at minimum, since only the CPU is lacking, my Gfx card apparently is enough and so is RAM).
also, the 1st suggestion someone gave was a platformer and the second is a simplified beat em up, which doesn't really have much novelty for me.
for those with suggestions refer back to my previous post for details on what gameplay I like.

Is dast der Zerstorer? Odar die Schopfer?Looking for PC game recs. RPGs or similar games are preferable, but I'm fine with anything as long as it doesn't require online, and isn't a MOBA, 4X or RTS. Currently playing Guacamelee, Dishonored and Dust: An Tail, and just finished Borderlands 1 and Sleeping Dogs.
Technically those criteria include Knytt Stories. ^_^
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableSounds like tastes like mine.
- Recettear: an Item Shop's Tale
- Fortune Summoners
- Ys Origin
- Ys: the Oath in Felghana
- Ys I & II
- La-Mulana
- Anodyne
- Guardian of Paradise
- Aquaria
- Cave Story
- Saira

Knytt is freeware, correct? No harm in trying that out, thanks!
Played most of the games on there. Dunno what Fortune Summoners is, though. Looks like a sidescroller RPG, any interesting gimmicks/mechanics? Will be definitely checking out Guardian of Paradise as well.
Fortune Summoners is a platformer RPG that uses button combos for combat (a bit like Guacamelee). It is also notably difficult. (It also has the charm of Carpe Fulgur's localization work, as usual.)
There's also Chantelise from the Carpe Fulgur folks. I haven't played that so it wasn't on my shortlist.
How about Tower of Heaven, Knytt Stories (any of them, they vary), Knytt Underground, Puzzle Agent, Fairy Bloom Freesia, Ether Vapor Remaster, Eryi's Action, DLC Quest, Cherry Tree High Comedy Club, Bastion, Explodemon, Tobe's Vertical Adventure, Ikachan, Mega Man Unlimited, Nethack, Spelunky, Street Fighter x Mega Man, Dysfunctional Systems, Terraria, Refle X, Eversion, Bunny Must Die, Dungeons of Dredmor, 100% Orange Juice, Flying Red Barrel, Duke Nukem, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, Action Fist, Septerra Core, Stealth Bastard, Half-Minute Hero, One Way Heroics?
I'm looking for some good 3D action games for the PC. They can be Platform Games, First Person Shooters or anything in between. They can be as cheerful as Rayman 2 or as bleak as Doom, though I'd prefer a game that doesn't smack me over the head with grizzled space marines * and/or 'MURICA.
The important thing is that the focus is on navigating levels and fighting enemies; I really don't enjoy RPG or adventure elements. I want to run around and kill things, not spend hours trying to figure out where I'm supposed to go next.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...
- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trilogy focuses on acrobatic platforming and fighting.
- Half Life 2 is a good FPS, just follow the Path of Most Resistance and you won't get lost. needs a little thinking normally since it got Wreaking Havok puzzles and stuff, but hey, that's what cheats are for. (the game has inbuilt cheats)
- Darksiders too, from what I've seen in videos.
- Mirrors Edge is almost entirely platforming (doesn't even have a HUD) with the occassional fighting. My friend's addicted to it.
- Devil May Cry 3 & 4 for classic recommendations. 4 especially due to good graphics and low specs requirements. 3 is infamous for being a bad port.
- Dynasty Warriors has 5, 6 and 7:XL note in PC. Hack and Slash games where your "main objective" is nada, just wait for your commander's orders and follow them. if you're the commander (or alone), Do as you please.
now I'm still looking for Hack and Slash games somewhat like what the guy above is looking, refer to my older posts for details.

Is dast der Zerstorer? Odar die Schopfer?Have you tried the Serious Sam games? It's been ages since I played them but from what I remember there are not many games where you get closer to just killing things and running around. Also, the weapons are absurd, as are the enemies.
The new Duke Nukem game (well, new a couple of years ago) should also qualify.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Any good games for the PC in the vein of Banjo Kazooie? As in, the 3rd-person platforming deal.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Seconding Best Of's recommendation of Serious Sam.
Psychonauts may be what you're looking for.
Thanks, everyone. Through ZDoom, I got Heretic set up with modern controls, so for the time being my desire for action games is sated. I'll definitely check out Darksiders, Serious Sam and Mirror's Edge later, though.
I played Psychonauts, and while I loved the platforming, I've got to warn that it's primarily an adventure game. I had to consult a walkthrough many times, and when I'd finished the game I was nowhere near 100% Completion, because I hadn't bothered to explore the world (beyond what was needed to get into the next "dungeon") or talk to all the NPCs.
When it comes to 3D platforming, the first thing I'd recommend is Rayman 2 and 3.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...If you're going to play Serious Sam you should know it's an old game. Don't expect much of the graphics or anything. It's better than Duke Nukem 3D back when it was cool to put the word "3D" in a game's name, but it's not far beyond that.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.@Jinxmenow Have you heard of A Hat In Time? It's not out yet, but it looks to be really good. As in "this is the most excited I've been for an upcoming game in 8 years" good. Here's an old trailer for it:
Keep in mind it's an old trailer. The kickstarter was successful: They ended up getting nine times their goal. Also, Grant Kirkhope, the guy who did the music for Banjo-Kazooie and other Rare games, is doing some of the music for it.
That does look awesome.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...@Shanghai I am just going to pop in to say that, as someone who has only played The 2nd Runner, Zone of the Enders is great and is definetely worth at least a look.
Edit: Also, do get Metal Gear: Rising, it is amazing.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!that's not a PC game, ZOE, that is.
but yeah, will try to see if i can get Revengeance, currently playing Dynasty Warriors 6. Renbu isn't that bad, but the game itself is damn hard due to the large number of spear officers poking you you from afar. I guess they dumbed it down in 7 for a good reason.
Is dast der Zerstorer? Odar die Schopfer?I'm looking for good Hack and Slash games on PC or PS 3, I've played the DMC series, Bayonetta, God of War, and Dark Souls, difficulty doesn't matter.
I'd recommend Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Dragon's Crown, Darksiders and Darksiders II, Dante's Inferno, and Lollipop Chainsaw.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Uhm, I'm looking for a good phone-game that I can play on my Android. I want something light and time-wasting, but still with a sense of progress over time in that I level up or unlock things along the way. I was planning on getting Puzzle and Dragons, but it's unavailable in my country. I'm okay with some degree of In-App Purchases, as long as its mostly playable without buying stuff all the time. For example, I've really enjoyed the Temple Run-games. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much. Got Dungeon Raid today and it's just what I wanted.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Question: Is Etrian Odyssey 4 worth my money on the 3DS? I'm itching for a good JRPG but my Vita with P 4 G etc isn't going to be here for another month and with Shin Megami Tensei IV not coming out here in Europe I need something to play on my 3DS before the new Kirby game comes out.

I don't think there's really much like that you can get if your PC sucks.
