The link's not working.
Bulbapedia has a different sector for images apart from the wiki itself, so that explains why the link won't work. Anyways, here's a working link.◊

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAh, I had to drag-and-drop to get it to work. That's not bad...I'm good with the swap as long as it looks good at wiki size.
Link's not working for me, but I know what it is and will give a
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?@4: It's not a lot more crowded than the current image, so it probably would look clear enough.
Personally though, I prefer the older artstyle, and being more up-to-date doesn't make the suggestion a better page image.

Fair point. However, I do think that it is important to be able to showcase all the main characters of the series, rather than one group of them.
Agent CA 7 just switched the images even though there has been no consensus.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Considering how many work pages we have only showcase one or two of the main protagonist, I don't see that issue as a high priority in selecting a page image. I mean, the Franchise.Pokemon page only shows the Gen I Mons. Doesn't mean it's not a good or illustrative image just because we didn't try to cram every existing Mons in the pic.
I reverted the change. If he does it again, LMK.
Since the suggestion has been uploaded, here it is in wikisize:
Edit: Not knowing anything about the manga, I think it's a good image.

I apologize. I didn't know the protocol on how this works. It won't happen again.

No problem.
Bump; any other thoughts?
I like it. It's crowded, but in some ways it seems easier to pick out individual characters than in the current page image. It also has the plus of not having Emerald front and center - nothing against the guy, but the current image makes it looks like he's THE main character.
The only downside I see to this pic is that we'll eventually want to update it again down the road for Gens 7, 8, 9, and so on; and the replacement is likely to be even more crowded.
If that's seriously an issue, the cover of the first volume is a possible alternative.
It'd be cool if special characters didn't break links. >_<

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Just to be clear; it's not the "crowded" issue I'm worried about. It's the fact that it's going to be outdated again eventually - possibly as soon as the end of the year, depending on when the Sun/Moon chapter starts (well, assuming there is going to be a Sun/Moon chapter, but I don't see why there wouldn't be). Some of the same issues that go into Examples Are Not Recent, really.
I really do like the group shot of the Gen 1-6 casts, but the Vol. 1 cover with just Red is fine too.

Bump; any other thoughts/suggestions?
Clock is set.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI'll go ahead and vote for 11.
Same here.
(Annoyed grunt)Another vote for 11
11 (just reseize the pic, is too big)
Since we got more votes, I'll de-clock.
Anyways, the suggestion looks like it can work.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThis one's gathered enough dust. Since 11's got decent consensus, it's up and tagged. Do we even want to try a caption giving the characters' names, given how crowded the pic is?

So recently the mangakas for Pokemon Adventures/Pocket Monster Special released an art book for the series. Its cover has all of main characters, along with their updated designs. (http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/2/2a/The_Art_of_Pocket_Monsters_Special.png) I thought it might be nice to change the article's front page picture since it is rather outdated
