In a sequel to one of my previous threads[[tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=1437975820A30445000&page=0]], the most iconic cartoon villains of the 80's meet the most iconic villains of the modern age.

Here are the pairs:

How would each of their interactions be like? What would they think of each other?

You know I'm really getting the feeling that you love crossing over a lot of things.

I don't mean for that to come off as rude or anything. Just noticing that being a trend whenever you post.

[up]Yeah, it's been an obsession of mine since childhood. The thing is, crossovers allow for a lot of creative stories and situations, especially when done right. Which is probably the main reason why I love crossovers so much.

And you have the honor of calling me "The Crossover Nut".

I don't blame you. I've had a love for crossovers since I was a kid too(Cartoon Network's old bumpers come to mind). And I do agree that crossovers can be interesting if done well. No matter what media it is.

No need to apologize, lots of people love crossovers- including me! wink

I don't know all the characters, but here are some ideas:

The Homeworld Gems try to ignore Megatron, whom they see as just a machine. Megatron of course, tries to capture and use their resources. They beat the crap out of him.

Skeletor and Aku actually chum it out together. Until they inevitably backstab each other.

Azula not only beats Shredder, she also spits out "I don't know why, but something about him just offended me."

Slade refuses to work for Claw and walks away, with the later swearing, I'll get you next time, Slade! Next tiiiiime!

Zim vs Cobra Commander? Zim wins in a curb-stomp battle. How about Unicron vs The Lich?

Since both of their goals is the destruction of all life, I imagine they would be bitter enemies.

I just have thought about Megtaron and the Homeworld Gems:

From what I've gathered the Gem-Homeworld has a caste-system and while both are really 'racist' against humans and with all the parallels between them Megatron would probably think their caste-system to be despicable.

Also, I don't think the Gems could truly stand a chance against the Decepticons. I'm not sure how uch you know of the comics, but the Decepticons have 'Phase Sixers' which are basically there to destroy whatever is left of any planet the Decepticons have invaded. And they're very hard to take down (The Transformers Last Stand Of The Wreckers)

I can definitely see Megatron being disgusted by the very concept of the Cluster. Hell, he'd even call out Yellow Diamond for it.

Against the Full Decepticons? Maybe not (but again, we haven't seen the full Homeworld Gems either- Yellow Diamond is likely going to be a VERY powerful villain herself.)

Even if it's just Megatron against Jasper, Peridot and Lapis Lazuli, he's done for. He might take down Peridot, But jasper will fight him to a standstill and Lapis and will CRUSH him with water. And that's not even using fusions.

The problem I have with Bill/Mumm-Ra is that I ever only saw one episode with Bill. The impression I got was that he was much smarter than Mumm-Ra ever was. I'm sure he will just talk to bandage-face until he gets bored, with Mumm-Ra trying to steal his powers, or maybe even mistaking him for one of the Ancient Spirits of Evil that boost him up (and even then, there's that Fear of His Own Reflection of his.)

I'm surprised no one's mentioned an obvious one.

Lord Hater vs Skeletor.

Granted, the most I know about Skeletor is his voice and from that stupid He-Man Christmas Special.

[up]Hater and Skeletor would end up arguing over who's the better villain. IMO, Hater would come out on top because when he's not being hindered by his emotional instability and attempts at being cool, he's actually pretty competent. Skeletor on the other hand is a genuine moron.

[up][up]Bill would think Mumm-Ra is a complete buffoon, mocking his fanatic devotion to spreading evil while he scoffs at the terms "Good" and "Evil". Mumm-Ra would take offense to that and try to prove that evil is indeed absolute.

On the other hand, I see Mumm-Ra summoning Bill and making a deal with him. Bill would destroy the Thundercats while Mumm-Ra finds a mystical artifact for him. Of course we all know how THAT would turn out.

Dr Doofenschmirtz vs Dr Mindbender (from GI Joe) would probably be kind of amusing, with them both trying to one-up the other on crazy inventions. Strangely, despite Regular Show being full of 80s references, i cant think of any 80s cartoon villains who could match up against the villains of RS (Doug, Klorgbane, Susan, Bobby Garret Ferguson, Ladonna, etc). EDIT: Though i suppose you COULD do Videoman (from Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends) vs The Hammer.

On second thought, Mumm-Ra would be better off with the Lich.
