Discussion thread.

Roleplay thread.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Battleword!

What is Battleworld? Boy, I'm glad you asked. Battleworld is the name of the latest crossover RP on TV Tropes. It's about a world made out of chunks from other worlds from all across the multiverse. These chunks must now co-exist in the same world, as their champions must figure out a way to bring everyone back home. But when parts of different worlds are thrown together, things change. People might want to look for better lives on other chunks. Wars and alliances might brew between chunks. Because in Battleworld, the key is not only to thrive and return home... but also to survive.

Who can I play as in Battleworld? Anyone! You may choose any character from any pre-existing work of fiction out there. But you're not only signing up as a character, you're also signing up as a chunk of that character's world and a few supporting cast members to help your character- the chunk champion- take care of that little piece of home.

What are the limitations on characters/chunks/supporting cast members? It's a case by case deal, but let's be reasonable here. If your character is a god or a puny human who cannot do anything to save his life, maybe you need to reconsider. Your chunk can be as small as you want, but if it's the size of Russia, you also should reconsider. And if your supporting cast is made up of reality warpers or little powerless kids, you might need to change up your plans.

How do chunks work? If your chunk is a small town from a world where everything is upside down, in that chunk, reality will follow the rules of your homeworld. So, for example, a magic user whose powers rely on the sun might find himself in trouble once he enters a chunk where there is no sunlight. Of course, there are devices and spells which can help you get over these limitations, which brings us to...

Who is behind Battleworld? You don't know, but there's certainly someone, or something, pulling all the strings. And that someone, or something, might pull out a few rule changes or drop a powerful artifact on a random chunk. Why? No one knows, and it's your job to find that out. Because your character doesn't have to just keep his chunk and the people in it safe. He also has to figure out who's behind this and how can they escape their fate, or deal with the fact they may be stuck on Battleworld... forever.

A minor note, something some might consider a warning: this RP will require attention to detail and dedication. Your posts might be long- will be long in some cases- and you'll have to deal with a slower pace. However, I know this will end up in a more satisfying experience for all of us. I eagerly await for your signups.

Sign Up Sheet

  • Main Character
    • Name:
    • Age:
    • Appearance: [Pictures or words, whatever tickles your fancy.]
    • Personality:
    • Powers: [Guys, gals, be reasonable.]
    • Equipment: [Things your character had with him/her before he/she got whisked away. Might also be stuff he/she has on his/her home, if said home is in the chunk.]
    • Backstory: [No need to write a twenty page epic, but don't give me just one four-line paragraph. Unless a four-line paragraph backstory is all your character has.]

  • Supporting Cast [You can have up to five or six supporting cast members, depending on how powerful each one of them are. Heck, you could only have one supporting cast member if you wanted! Just copy and paste the sheet down below.]
    • Name:
    • Age:
    • Appearance:
    • Personality:
    • Powers:
    • Backstory:

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World:
    • Description: [Tell me what this chunk is. Is it a city, a village, a mountain range, an undersea base, a spaceship, an underground mole city? Consider this the 'appearance' of the chunk. Tell me the size, the borders, the general look and feel of the place. 'Pictures are appreciated.]
    • Contents: [What can one find in this chunk? If it's a city, what important buildings are there- banks, government agencies, armories, temples, dragon caves, the throne of the blood god, that kind of stuff. No need to tell me every apartment this place has, just the important things. Consider this the 'equipment' of the chunk.]
    • Specialties: [Does your chunk have any special rules? Does every human in this chunk have to speak backwards? Is gravity tilted to the side in this place? Do rocks have sentience? These aren't rules created by the population, like 'don't litter', but more rules of reality. Consider this the 'powers' of the chunk. If there are no specialties to your chunk- AKA it's just like real life- just put in 'nothing'.]
    • Population: [Tell me about the people who were unfortunately dragged along with your characters to the Battleworld. This is necessary, because chunk management will involve taking care of the people who live in your chunk, people who move to your chunk from others, etc. You will have to provide for them, whip them into an army, build new homes and so much more, so me knowing how the people in your world live their daily lives is essential. Also, give me an approximate number of how many people are there in your chunk.]

To make things easier, I have provided the sheet template on pastebin. Click here to get it.

Into Oblivion
#2: Mar 17th 2015 at 11:43:44 AM

  • Main Character
    • Name: Roxas
    • Age: Appears 14-15, but has about three months of life experience
    • Appearance: The main advantage of the Organization coat is that it looks badass.
    • Personality: Roxas is little shy, mostly because he isn't sure how to interact. His social skills aren't abysmal, but he does have trouble at times. Once you get to know him, he is actually rather friendly, though he does have occasional anger issues (his life sucks, and this little problem isn't going to help). He also clueless and be a bit of a zombie at times. Definitely shows un-Nobody-like displays of emotion at times.
    • Powers: He controls light. All this means is that he's a human flashlight. His Keyblade can also unlock anything, though results on more technological 'locks' (passwords, etc.) tend to be mixed. In addition to all this, he has several offensive magic spells.
    • Equipment: His Keyblade, which he can summon to his hand at any time. He also has several potions (instant healing, but they can only do so much).
    • Backstory: Roxas is the thirteenth member of Organization XIII. He woke up in Twilight Town one day with no memories, and Xemnas took him in for his Keyblade. Axel agreed to mentor him, and they soon became friends Roxas, like all Organization members, is a Nobody, meaning he has no heart. Despite this, he seems to have some limited capacity for emotion. He mostly completed his missions without thought until he met the mysterious Xion.

  • Supporting Cast
    • Name: Axel
    • Age: 25 (or so)
    • Appearance: He's already badass, but the coat does help.
    • Personality: Axel acts laid-back, friendly and sarcastic. However, he has no real emotions, and can be very ruthless when he has to be. Oddly, he's rather protective of Roxas and Xion.
    • Powers: He controls fire. He can make anything within about a ten foot radius spontaneously combust, even if the object isn't usually flammable. He also has the typical flamethrower-type powers. He can also summon chakrams.
    • Backstory: Unlike Roxas and Xion, Axel has memories of his past as Lea. He lived in Radiant Gardens before it was destroyed by Heartless, and he was friends with Isa (now Saix). He agreed to mentor Roxas and pretended to befriend him. Shortly afterwards, he was sent to Castle Oblivion, where he learned Xion's true origins (though he certainly isn't telling her) and met Sora. When he got back, he started thinking of Roxas (and through him, Xion) as a real friend.

    • Name: Xion
    • Age: Appears 14-15, actually has about three months of life experience
    • Appearance: Even the cute girl looks badass in that coat.
    • Personality: Xion is very similar to Roxas in many aspects. She's shyer, but not as clueless/zombie-like. When not interacting with Axel or Roxas, she's rather quiet. She can also be a little childlike, loving anything cute and fluffy. She can also be just a little angsty. In many ways, she's like a female version of Roxas. Probably not important...
    • Powers: Exactly the same as Roxas.
    • Backstory: Xion's is the fourteenth member of the Organization. She has no recollection of her past. She was very silent for the first month or so, but when she met Roxas, they soon became friends. She lost her Keyblade a month ago, and went on missions with Roxas until she got it back today. They bonded during this time. Too bad the whole thing is about to be ruined.

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World: Twilight Town
    • Description: A small town, filled with shops and trams and winding roads. It is built directly on top of a large hill, and has lots of steep slopes. It is large, and sometimes confusing. It also has a small woodland.
    • Contents: The centerpiece of the town is the Clocktower, a huge tower which is built on top of a large train station. Other highlights include a market street with several stands, a sandlot and a mysterious mansion in the forest. A wall separates the town from the forest, but there is a hole in it. The tram system is rather extensive, but rarely used.
    • Specialties: In a state of constant sunset.
    • Population: For such a large place, Twilight Town is strangely empty. There are about a hundred inhabitants. The locals are calm, fun and laid-back, taking life as a simple summer vacation. Unfortunately, that will probably change a little when they learn what that earthquake was about. They are very wary of Roxas, Axel and Xion, and may not take to having them as their new leaders very well.

...There we go. I look forward to this!

please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?

    • Personality: Flirty, full of energy and life, the only one level headed enough to remind everyone of the morally right thing to do, switches between mocking and flirting with Vanilla.

  • Main Character: The (4th) Doctor
    • Name: Unknown
    • Age: Unknown, but hundreds of years old
    • Appearance: Looks like a man in his 30s, with kinky hair and an impish expression most of the time. Wears an overcoat, a wide-brimmed hat and a ridiculously long scarf.
    • Personality: Kind of childish, on the surface; in actually, very intelligent and driven.
    • Powers:
-Can regenerate 12 times from death conditions (currently has used up 3 of these, 9 remain.) Each regeneration totally heals him but also changes his looks and personality. He retains his memories however.

-Superhuman intelligence and knowledge.

-Minor telepathy, mostly good to defend his mind.

-Combats skills (mostly swordsmanship, though he prefers to defeats his enemies with other means.)

  • Equipment:
-Sonic screwdriver (to avoid this being the Deus Ex Machina it is on the show, we'll take its name literally eg. it's a tool that uses soundwaves.)

-T.A.R.D.I.S.- a time-and-space ship. However it cannot escape the Battleworld, although it might teleport to other chunks. It is damaged and stuck in the form of a blue London Police phone box. It is much bigger on the inside than the outside.

  • Backstory:
Most of the past of the time traveler known only as The Doctor is unknown. It is known that he comes from the planet Gallifrey, and was once a member of an organization called the Time Lords, who use their advanced technology to police the universe. But for unknown reasons he quit and left, even stealing a defective TARDIS to do so.

Ever since then, The Doctor - a name he appears to have taken for its healing symbolism, as if he were trying to make amends for something- has spent his time gallivanting across space and time, investigating mysteries and protecting innocents, often with aid from companions he picks along the way, especially from Earth.

  • Supporting Cast
    • Name: K-9
    • Age: Not Applicable
    • Appearance: A robotic dog (with no legs)
    • Personality: As loyal as you expect a robot dog to be.
    • Powers: It can analyze things with its sensors and "bite" with a beam from its snout.
    • Backstory: A robot The Doctor found in one of his adventures and decided to bring along with him. (Note, at one point the original K-9 was destroyed, but The Doctor made a replacement.)

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World: London
    • Description: A modern city with many classic landmarks.
    • Contents: Famous public places like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, and more secret ones like the U.N.I.T. headquarters.
    • Specialties: UNIT, a taskforce created to deal with aliens and other such paranormal menaces. They are allies of the Doctor (mostly he saves their asses, but they have proved helpful too.)
    • Population: About 8.5 million people.

  • Main Character
    • Name: Doctor Klein
    • Age: Approximately 254, give or take a few years.
    • Appearance: Here
    • Personality: Egotistical, bombastic, and more than willing to piggyback off the efforts of others, Klein represents what's left of Big MT's logistical operations. Unfortunately, he stopped caring about pesky details like "morals", "ethics", "sanity", or "common sense" approximately two centuries ago... distressingly, he's probably the most psychologically sound member of the research team. After all, there's always new research to be done, and the Battleworld is full of exciting new things to take apart and messily reassemble in the name of SCIENCE...
    • Powers: Like the rest of the Think Tank, Klein doesn't really have any powers, other than his cybernetic brain tank granting him infinite longevity. He does, however, possess a cunningly astute scientific mind and two hundred years worth of technological developments at his disposal. Sonic blasters? Gatling laser guns and weaponized tesla coils? Toxic gas? Cybernetic guns with dog brains? Walking skeletons inside robotic armor? Genetically engineered abominations run amok? Legions of lobotomized test subjects capable of wielding all of the above? And if he can't scrounge up something from Big MT's bottomless well of inventions, then what's stopping him from building something new (other than his easily-distracted mind)?
    • Equipment: His think tank, a cyborg interface designed to shelter his brain indefinitely.
    • Backstory: Like the rest of the Think Tank, Klein was one of the head researchers at Big Mountain Research and Development Center before the Great War of 2077, spearheading all kinds of new research and technological developments. After the bombs fell and wiped out most of civilization, Klein had his brain transferred to a think tank so that he could continue work on his vital projects. With no contact from the outside world, the Think Tank grew increasingly amoral and psychotic, culminating in an incident where fellow researcher Dr. Mobius lobotomized his colleagues in an attempt to keep their madness contained within Big Mountain. This had the side effect of irrevocably warping their already broken minds and accelerating their already pronounced mental decay. Shortly after a visitor snapped the team out of their logic loop, they became aware of the world beyond Big Mountain... and now that they're a part of the Battleworld, there's no telling what kinds of havoc they're willing to cause in their endless quest for SCIENCE.

  • Supporting Cast
    • Name: Dr. 0 (known to his colleagues as Dr. O)
    • Age: 250 or so.
    • Appearance: here
    • Personality: 0 is possessed of a seething hatred for Robert House, the robotics engineer who became rich and famous. Before the war, he spent most of his time trying to plagiarize House's designs, creating powerful but extremely unstable machines. Two hundred years later, he still carries the vendetta...
    • Powers: As a master of robotical disassembly, he specializes in altering machinery to preserve it in a non-functional state. In other words, he breaks robots. When he's not trying to settle an entirely one-sided grudge against his rival and puts his mind to it, he can create some pretty effective hardware.
    • Backstory: The same as Klein's, pretty much.

    • Name: Dr. Dala
    • Age: Again, about 250 years
    • Appearance: Here
    • Personality: Dala is a jack of all trades... even though most of her 211 trades are various disciplines she's invented for herself during her long life as a Think Tank. Specializing in mineralogy and human behaviour, Dala displays a disturbing obsession with the human body- particularly the lobotomy process and its aftermath, as well as an equally unnerving fixation on teddy bears.
    • Powers: She has 211 doctorates; who knows how many of them are even real, but that has to count for something.
    • Backstory: More or less the same as the other survivors of Big MT. Unlike the others, she secretly resents her now-robotic body.

    • Name: Dr. Borous
    • Age: 250 or so
    • Appearance: You'll notice that they're all fairly identical at this point.
    • Personality: Even by the low standards of the Think Tank, Borous is more or less completely off his rocker. A combination of an abusive upbringing, childhood bullying, and romantic rejection meant that he was already unstable before the world went to hell; two hundred years of exposing his brain to God knows what kind of chemicals haven't done it any favours.
    • Powers: As the head of "Animalogy, Beastology, and DNA-Scrambling Technology" Borous focuses mostly on biology and genetic engineering. Although he claims to make friendly, safe, and sterile creatures, the hyper-aggressive, verminously breeding mutant wasps and coyote/rattlesnake hybrids are anything but. On the plus side, these abominations could be easily weaponized if someone needed to deter any particularly nasty intruders.
    • Backstory: More or less the same as the other Think Tanks. One notable feature is that he FREQUENTLY OVEREXAGGERATES his DICTION, as if he were the NARRATOR of some kind of midnight SCIENCE FICTION PICTURE show!

    • Name: Dr. 8
    • Age: 250 or so
    • Appearance: Yep, basically reskins.
    • Personality: 8 is probably the most emotionally stable of the bunch... which really isn't saying all that much. Even so, he seems to have mostly remained in touch with his human origins , although his hacked voice synthesizer means that what he says is more or less unintelligible to non-Think Tanks. He's still obsessed with SCIENCE, though.
    • Powers: As an acoustician, 8 specializes in the study of sound and various frequencies. On the plus side, this means that he's well-versed in the art of sonic weaponry... on the downside, his specialized equipment requires him to do very disturbing things to bring them online.
    • Backstory: Same as the others, more or less. Unlike the others, he was attacked by Father Elijah during the Brotherhood Elder's raid on the facility, which resulted in his hacked voice module.

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World:The Big Mountain Research and Development Center
    • Description: A panoramic view and a map of the place. Before the war, Big Mountain was home to the best and brightest scientific minds. After the war began, however, Big Mountain still was home to the best and brightest minds... but those minds quickly began to deteriorate, turning the once illustrious research facility into the Big Empty, a kind of scientific hell on Earth. Every experiment gone wrong, every malfunctioning prototype, every abandoned test subject, and every crime against nature and common human decency have been turned loose on one another, creating a deadly gauntlet of threats for any would-be intruders to overcome. The biggest threat are the Think Tank themselves, who abandoned any kind of ethics decades ago and are more than willing to use you as an unwilling guinea pig for their experiments. Or maybe they'll just replace your brain with a cauterized electronic equivalent, turning you into one of the hundreds of feral Lobotomites that roam the facility. The Think Tank don't see themselves as evil... they're just so obsessed with SCIENCE and getting results above anything else.
    • Contents: On the plus side, the Big Empty contains hundreds of years worth of technological development from all strands of SCIENCE... if you can get in and out in one piece. Laboratories and ruins across the crater contain weapons and technologies lesser mad scientists would give their right arms for. Stealth suits, electromagnetic weaponry, experimental alloys, and advanced robotic technologies are present, alongside more esoteric devices like weather control machines. An exhaustive map of the facility can be found here.
    • Specialties: N/A. If you're trying to set foot here, though, remember that there are many things that will be trying to kill you.
    • Population: The only really sentient members of Big Mountain are the Think Tanks themselves. Other than that, there are hundreds of lobotomized patients, failed experiments gone feral, malfunctioning robots, walking robot skeletons, etc. Individually, they're mindless and disorganized, although they don't need a lot of outside guidance to cause havoc. It's worth noting that the radar fence which formerly shielded the outside world from this place has been disabled as a result of travelling to the Battleworld, meaning that everything- including the Think Tank- can come and go as they please. And that's a very bad thing....

  • Main Character
    • Name: Sonic the Hedgehog (video game incarnation)
    • Age: 15 (he is outright stated as being 15 in supplementary materials [e.g. manuals], but had a birthday in Generations, so it's unknown if he's only recently turned 15 or if he has been 16 since then)
    • Appearance: He's the fastest thing alive!
      • Height: 3'3" (100 cm)
      • Weight: 77 lbs. (35 kg)
    • Personality: Sonic is free-spirited and adventurous. He's impulsive and reckless, and has an ego the size of a small planet, but he's also honest to a fault and loyal to the people he cares about. He hates oppression and values freedom above anything else (both for himself and for others). He's an adrenaline junkie who gets bored easily and quickly. He's quick to anger, but also quick to forgive. He never seems to consider anyone a true enemy, and respects anyone who can go toe to toe with him. He possesses a sharp tongue and can easily get under an opponent's skin, but he also has a heart of gold. He's honest to a fault, loyal to the people he cares about, and will put his life on the line at the drop of a hat. He is afraid of drowning and cannot swim, but is still willing to be near or even in water (even though he cannot swim).
    • Powers:
      • Superspeed: Sonic's main ability is his superhuman speed, which he was allegedly born with. His top speed is unknown, but he has been observed breaking the sound barrier just by running, and has been clocked well over Mach 1. He does not appear to grow fatigued or tired from running, although he does need eight hours of sleep at night. He has total mastery of his speed, being completely immune to G-forces, and able to avoid obstacles or people in his way. The robot E-123 Omega noted that his top speed is continually increasing and has speculated that he may eventually grow to surpass the speed of light itself.
      • Spines: The spines on his head and back are capable of cutting through robots like a hot knife through butter.
      • Homing Attack: Sonic can effectively lock on to targets while in midair, and change direction while still in midair to attack them.
      • Light Speed Dash: He can follow trails of the gold rings that are commonplace on his world at faster speeds than he can normally run even if there is no solid ground beneath them.
    • Equipment:
      • Speed Shoes: Sonic's shoes, for whatever reason, do not catch fire or otherwise show signs of wear and tear from his supersonic running.
      • The Tornado: Sonic's red biplane. Sonic actually owns it, but he lets Tails borrow it whenever he asks.
    • Backstory: Not much is known of Sonic's early life. He was born on Christmas Island, but allegedly left to see the world beyond it. It wasn't long before he first encountered his arch-enemy, Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, as well as his best friend, Miles "Tails" Prower. A long series of adventures followed, and Sonic met new friends and new rivals along the way. Before Angel Island was taken to Battleworld, he had gone there to visit his friend, Knuckles the Echidna.

  • Supporting Characters
    • Name: Miles "Tails" Prower
    • Age: 8
    • Apperance: I wanna fly high
      • Height: 2'7" (80 cm)
      • Weight: 44 lbs. (20 kg)
    • Personality: Tails is Sonic's best friend and faithful sidekick. Before he met Sonic, he was often bullied over his genetic mutation of two tails. As such, he is rather sensitive about being bullied and even more so when it involves his tails. It is also for that reason that he took quite a while to step out of Sonic's shadow and become a hero in his own right. However, he's grown to be a brave little kid, and Sonic couldn't be prouder of him for it. He is a genius, and any conversation with him will eventually descend into Main/Technobabble if allowed. He's also rather humble about his intelligence and his bravery, and is often the mediator of conflicts (usually between Sonic and Knuckles).
    • Powers:
      • Flight: Tails can spin his twin tails like a helicopter to fly. He can only fly for a short time before growing exhausted, although in times of crisis he can muster up the willpower to fly longer (such as when he and Sonic fought Eggman in midair in the Marble Garden). He can also carry others while flying, although the added weight decreases his aerial mobility and tires him out more quickly.
      • Other Tail Abilities: Tails can spin his two tails while on the ground, creating forward momentum. Unlike his flight, he can keep this up seemingly indefinitely. This allowed him to keep pace with Sonic when they first met, and while he can no longer match Sonic's top speed, Sonic usually slows himself down for his buddy's sake. His tails are also prehensile, enabling him to grasp objects if denied the use of his hands. They are also powerful enough to destroy robots.
      • Gadgeteer Genius: Tails is a master mechanic, able to create and repair many devices. It's for this reason that he's been made the de facto owner of the Tornado, and he's made several more planes in that line.
      • Ace Pilot: Tails is extremely talented in the piloting of aircraft, especially when the aircraft in question has been created or modified by him.
    • Equipment:
      • Cyclone: A monoplane similar to the Tornado line of biplanes. Tails designed it to have three forms: a plane, a walker mode (complete with armor, laser-guided projectiles, and Volkan Cannon), and an automobile.
      • Miles Electric: A handheld, multipurpose, electronic device created by Tails for his own use. Among other functions, it has acted as a radar, a communicator, a translator, and an interface for other electronic devices.
    • Backstory: Miles Prower was orphaned early in life, and was born with a genetic mutation that caused him to have two tails. This caused him to be relentlessly bullied by the other children of Westside Island. And then he met his idol, Sonic the Hedgehog. While Sonic had ignored him at first, he was soon impressed by the fox's ability to keep up with him, and had effectively adopted him as his little brother. It wasn't long before he proved his worth when Doctor Eggman attacked the island. From that point onward, Tails was usually right behind Sonic when he was off on an adventure. Before Angel Island was taken to Battleworld, he declined to go with Sonic to visit Knuckles (not out of any hostility, mind you, but because he was busy with a project). Not long after Sonic left and took the Tornado, Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend, Amy Rose, barged in and eventually talked him into taking her to him.

    • Name: Knuckles the Echidna
    • Age: 16
    • Appearance: Unlike Sonic, I don't chuckle
      • Height: 3'7" (110 cm)
      • Weight: 88 lbs. (40 kg)
    • Personality: Knuckles has lived alone for much of his life, and as such is rather wary of strangers to his island. The friendship he has with Sonic and Tails started out as antagonism, as he viewed them as threats to the island and the Master Emerald. However, he soon realized they had no ill will and so he grew to trust them, considering them to be his best (and only) friends. Despite this, he remains rather aloof and considers Sonic to be his rival (and vice-versa). Much of Knuckles' rivalry with Sonic stems from his own inability to abandon his duties and be free like Sonic. He's got a hair-trigger temper, and an ego that matches Sonic's in size, which is another source of conflict between them. Knuckles also has a reputation for gullibility, which [[Main/Flanderization may be a bit undeserved]]. He didn't have a formal education, but he is knowledgeable in the ways of his ancestors, and has a degree of spirituality gained from his duties as the Master Emerald's guardian.
    • Powers:
      • Gliding: Knuckles can glide with his dreadlocks (do NOT ask how that's even possible!). If done so on rising air currents, Knuckles can rise with them.
      • Strength: Knuckles' arms and fists are tough enough to lift and shatter large boulders (and even to break metal containers), despite looking rather scrawny and noodly. The object-smashing ability may be due to the spikes at the ends of his fists.
      • Wall Climbing: Knuckles can use the spikes on his knuckles to scale surfaces of any solid material, ranging from rock to reinforced metal.
      • Emerald Connection: As the last in a very long line of the Master Emerald's guardians and a descendent of the Knuckles Clan, Knuckles is capable of sensing the energies of the Master Emerald. When it is intact, he can sense it more clearly and within any place that's about the size of Angel Island. When it is broken, he can sense individual pieces if he's within the same general area that they are (such as the Red Mountain and the Aquatic Mine). He can also sense the general location of Master Emerald shard groupings from a distance, and appears to be able to commune with the Emerald (as seen when he asked it the location of the remaining shards toward the end of his SA1 story and ordered it to stop the power of the Chaos Emeralds in SA2's Last Story). This ability may also extend to the seven Chaos Emeralds, but they will not be a factor in this RP.
      • Treasure Hunter: A notable discipline of the now extinct Echidna society was their methods of searching for treasures that predated even them. This knowledge was passed down from father to son over the millennia, with Knuckles as its last recipient. While he initially used it to amuse himself on Angel Island by uncovering artifacts of the ancient Echidna civilization that once made the island its home, he's also used it in tandem with his Emerald Sense when the Master Emerald has been stolen or destroyed.
      • Speed: While he can no longer give Sonic a run for his money, he is capable of keeping up with Tails.
    • Equipment:
      • Shovel Claw: Designed by Tails to help Knuckles in his treasure hunting, these metal claws attach to the back of Knuckles' spiked gloves, and are capable of being removed at his discretion. They allow him to dig through dirt and rock, but not through metal.
      • Air Necklace: A miniature oxygen tank contained within a metal necklace. It allows its wearer to breathe underwater by placing their mouth around the tank. It refills every time Knuckles surfaces, and will not run out for a very long time.
      • Sunglasses: A pair of sunglasses with silver frames and light blue lenses. Tails designed them to enable the wearer to see invisible objects.
    • Backstory: Knuckles has lived alone for much of his life. He was born on Angel Island as the last member of the Knuckles Clan. Ever since the island took to the sky, the surviving members of the Clan chose to become the guardians of both the island and the Master Emerald that kept it aloft. Unfortunately, due to the hazards of their vocation and the very limited population, the birth rate dropped further and further until Knuckles was the last Echidna alive. Some time after he was orphaned, Doctor Eggman's Death Egg crash-landed on the island. Seeing an opportunity, he tricked Knuckles into attacking Sonic and stealing the Chaos Emeralds from him. Eggman was actually plotting to use the power of the Master Emerald to relaunch the Death Egg, and once Knuckles found out about his intentions (rather painfully, I might add), he joined up with Sonic to stop him. Since then, he's mostly remained on Angel Island, guarding the Master Emerald, leaving only to search for it when it has been stolen or shattered, or on occasion when Sonic and/or Tails comes to rope him into an adventure or a competition (which usually involves pushing many a Berserk Button until he absolutely has to come along).

    • Name: Amy Rose
    • Age: 12
    • Appearance: I wanna be a wonderful girl
    • Personality: Amy is obsessed with Sonic. To borderline stalker levels. She is fully convinced that she can tame him and make him her boyfriend. Sonic, for his part, is completely uninterested in romance or in settling down for any reason, and while he does not dislike Amy, he does find this tendency to be very annoying. Despite this, she believes that Sonic is hiding his true feelings for her and that it is her destiny to hook up with him. She will follow him to the ends of the earth just to prove her devotion. Outside of her Sonic love obsession, she is gentle and kind to others, optimistic to a fault, and is brave in the face of danger (especially when the people she cares about are threatened). She is also quick to anger, especially if she gets it in her head that some other girl could steal her Sonic's heart before she can.
    • Powers:
      • Speed: While nowhere near as fast as Sonic, Amy's years of chasing after him have increased her running abilities as well as brought her cardiovascular system to top form.
      • Boxercise: Even without the use of her Piko Piko Hammer, Amy is trained in kickboxing (albeit for the purposes of cardio exercise rather than as a martial art).
      • Strength: While not on the same level of strength as Knuckles and Rouge, Amy is strong enough to wield her Piko Piko Hammer with little to no effort. She is likely mildly superhuman in this regard.
      • Hammerspace: Amy is capable of pulling her Piko Piko Hammer from out of nowhere when she needs it, and can send it back when she doesn't. It is uncertain how it is she can do this.
    • Equipment:
      • Piko Piko Hammer: A large, yellow and red hammer that Amy wields as her primary weapon. She can use it to smash enemies' heads in or to launch herself up to higher areas. For whatever reason, it makes a squeaking sound, yet is also tough enough to crush robots beneath it.
      • Tarot Cards: Amy is an amateur fortune teller, and appropriately owns a deck of tarot cards (including the Major Arcana, the Minor Arcana, and the dreaded Happy Squirrel).
    • Backstory: When Amy was eight years old, she once used her tarot deck to determine her future love life. She interpreted the cards to mean that a hero was destined to sweep her off her feet, and that the hero in question was the recently-famous Sonic the Hedgehog. Another reading informed her that she was to have a destined meeting with Sonic on the Little Planet, and so she turned up when Dr. Eggman chained it to the earth. Not long afterward, Sonic was forced to rescue her from Eggman and his Metal Sonic, and carry her off of the Little Planet before it returned from whence it came. Since that time, she's tried again and again to earn his affections. She cajoled Tails into bringing her to Angel Island in the hopes of catching up with Sonic, only to be taken with the floating island to Battleworld.

    • Name: Rouge the Bat
    • Age: 18
    • Appearance: Fly in the freedom
    • Personality: Rouge is ambitious, flirty, and very calculating. She adores gems of all kinds, and is perfectly willing to steal them from their proper owners. This has often brought her into conflict with Knuckles. She can be heroic despite her greed. She finds Knuckles to be cute, but not her type. This hasn't stopped her from flirting with him, especially as she finds it very amusing to annoy and embarrass him. She's also more than happy to use her seductive wiles to have people just give her what she wants.
    • Powers:
      • Flight/Glide: Rouge has the ability to fly and glide with her wings.
      • Sensitive Ears: Her ears are very sensitive, to the point that she once sensed Espio the Chameleon (who is a ninja) sneaking around her.
      • Shriek: She is also capable of creating an ultrasonic shriek to disorient her opponents (and her ears are unaffected by said shriek).
      • Treasure Hunter: She's an expert treasure hunter who can rival Knuckles' ability to sense the Master Emerald.
      • Super Strength: Her lower body (in particular her legs and feet) are strong enough to give Knuckles a run for his money.
      • Secret Agent: As both an infamous jewel thief and an agent of GUN, she is also highly skilled in the arts of infiltration, stealth, seduction, and sabotage.
    • Equipment:
      • Pick Nails: Small heart-shaped shovels on the toes of her boots. They enable her to dig through rough terrain such as dirt and rock (but not through metal or other such materials).
      • Iron Boots: Boots with a metallic heel attached. They allow her to bust open metal containers.
      • Treasure Scope: A magenta-colored scouting device designed by G.U.N. for her use. The green lens on the end can be extended to cover Rouge's right eye, which will allow her to see invisible objects.
      • Heart Bombs: Spherical bombs which Rouge can throw at her opponents. They explode on impact with a target or after a few seconds pass. They are white with a large pink heart emblazoned on them.
      • Bat Crackers: Small bat-shaped bombs with primitive AI. They follow targets around and explode upon impact.
    • Backstory: Initially an infamous jewel thief, Rouge was eventually caught by the Guardian Units of Nations. Instead of being imprisoned, however, she became one of its top agents. Despite her government employment, she has continued to steal jewelry and gems on the side. Among other achievements, she spied on Doctor Eggman's operation for G.U.N. during the ARK incident, formed Team Dark with Shadow the Hedgehog and E-123 Omega (with herself as its leader), and has successfully stolen the Master Emerald from Knuckles at least once. She returned to attempt to steal it again before Angel Island was taken to Battleworld.

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World: Angel Island
    • Description: Once part of of the ancient Echidna civilization, Angel Island was levitated away from what is now known as the Mystic Ruins thousands of years ago. When faced with the rage of the ancient protector deity known as Chaos, a young Echidna girl named Tikal sealed both Chaos and herself inside a large gem known as the Master Emerald, which caused the shrine and many other parts of the Echidnas' civilization (but not their capital city, which remained on the surface) to be raised into the sky. While Chaos had later been pacified through the efforts of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, the Master Emerald continues to keep the island aloft for as long as the Emerald remains both intact and on the island.
    • Contents: Angel Island has a large number of biomes despite being an island with only one inhabitant. They shall be listed below.
      • Angel Island (the second picture depicts Angel Island immediately after being firebombed): This tropical jungle on the edge of the island was where Sonic and Tails first arrived on Angel Island after the fall of the Death Egg, and it was also where they first met Knuckles (who was at that time an enemy, due to Dr. Eggman's trickery). While it was firebombed by Eggman's warship, the Flying Battery, it has since grown back.
      • Hydro City: A reservoir deep beneath the island's surface, created by the ancient Echidnas. It was modified by Dr. Eggman, who had intended to drown and/or crush Sonic and Tails inside. While the robots Eggman brought with him were destroyed, Knuckles has not bothered to remove the modifications. He instead uses it as a trap for intruders.
      • Marble Garden: A large ruin created by the ancient Echidnas. Much of it was destroyed by Dr. Eggman's drilling machines in an attempt to plunge Sonic and Tails to their doom or crush them beneath the collapsing ruins. What is left contains strange top-like devices that can temporarily levitate if a person runs quickly enough on top of them.
      • Carnival Night: An original section of the island, created entirely by Doctor Eggman as part of his strange obsession with circuses, carnivals, and casinos. Knuckles has not bothered to get rid of it. It is also home to the dreaded Barrel of Doom.
      • Ice Cap: The icy peaks of Angel Island have been traversed by Sonic and Tails twice before. The first time involved them trying to reach the Death Egg's Launch Base. The second involved an attempt to find a Chaos Emerald which ended in the duo snowboarding away from an avalanche. Video footage of Adventure incarnation can be found here.
      • Launch Base: The now derelict launch site of Dr. Eggman's Death Egg. Much of it was destroyed during the Death Egg's launch. More still was reclaimed by the island through erosion and overgrowth.
      • Mushroom Hill: A lush forest filled to the brim with gigantic mushrooms. Doctor Eggman once attempted to use a machine to control the weather here. Video footage of Generations 3DS incarnation can be found here (Classic) and here (Modern).
      • Sandopolis (with tomb: A desert that was once connected to the Sand Hill within the Mystic Ruins. It contains a large, Egyptian style tomb that was created and haunted by Echidnas that have long since passed. The wreckage of Eggman's Flying Battery can also be found around here.
      • Lava Reef: A dormant volcano that lies on the island, which contains large, crystalline caverns. It was briefly rendered active by the Death Egg's relaunch. It also contains the Hidden Palace.
      • Hidden Palace: After Chaos was sealed away, the Echidnas decided to move the Master Emerald away from its shrine and keep it hidden within the volcano. A mural on one of the walls also depicts a prophetic vision of Sonic and Eggman fighting over the Emerald.
      • Sky Sanctuary: A series of ruins that floated above even Angel Island. Although once used as a place to meditate by the ancient Echidnas, it has mostly crashed down to the surface after the Death Egg's launch and Knuckles' showdown with a Master Emerald-powered Mecha Sonic. Video footage of Generations HD incarnation can be found here (Classic) and here (Modern).
      • The Shrine of the Master Emerald: The original resting place of the Master Emerald. It is near the edge of the island, as it was once adjacent to what is now known as the Mystic Ruins. After Eggman stole the Master Emerald from the Hidden Palace, Knuckles moved it here. It originally also contained the seven Chaos Emeralds, but they have been scattered all over Sonic's world, and were not present on Angel Island at the time it was brought to Battleworld. Knuckles generally stays around here when he doesn't have anything to do beyond guarding the Master Emerald.
      • Red Mountain: Despite the name, it's actually a small mountain range rather than a singular mountain. For whatever reason, within it lies a prison that evokes images of Fire and Brimstone Hell. Video footage of Sonic's trek through Red Mountain can be found here.
    • Specialties: Angel Island is kept aloft by the power of the Master Emerald. If it is removed from the island, or if it is broken to pieces, the island will fall toward the ground until it is either returned to the island or repaired. In addition, strange golden rings are littered all around the island (and indeed all over Sonic's world), which can grant temporary protection from damage to those who collect them. They can also be used as currency.
    • Population: Angel Island has only one permanent, sapient inhabitant: Knuckles. The vast majority of its inhabitants are standard, non-anthropomorphic animals. However, the Sandopolis tomb is haunted by the ghosts of long-dead Echidnas. These ghosts fade in the light, but in darkness, they attempt to kill any and all intruders, even if the intruder in question is an Echidna himself. Knuckles would prefer the island be his home and his alone, but he could be convinced to share it long-term if the new inhabitants do not attempt to steal, break, or otherwise interfere with his guarding of the Master Emerald.

EDIT: I've decided to stick with the Sonic chunk after all.

EDIT 2: I've added images (and in the cases of Ice Cap, Mushroom Hill, Sky Sanctuary, and Red Mountain, video footage) to correspond with Angel Island's biomes. As most of these images are complete maps from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, they are correspondingly large. It is not recommended to view them on slow Internet connections or on a cellular phone (especially if not on Wi-Fi), as they are rather large images. The backgrounds of these maps may not correspond to the levels' actual backgrounds, but the structure is exactly as they are presented in-game.

The folks with WIP sheets, please tell me when your sheets are finished. A note to everyone: if you can, add pictures of your chunk.

@Too Many Ideas:

  • Roxas: human flashlight how? What kind of spells?
  • Axel: spontaneously combustion might be a problem- does it apply to people? Does it have a limit on size and stuff like that?
  • Xion: same questions as Roxas.
  • Twilight Town: no problems here! Do the locals know about the Organization?

@Echoing Silence:

  • Chirico: this abnormal survivor thing is gonna be a problem, since it basically sounds like plot armor. Also, what's the size of Burglary Dog?
  • Fryana: I sure hope 'unstoppable on the battlefield' is just propaganda, otherwise that enhanced reaction time might need to be nerfed.
  • Gilgamesh Cruiser: life support powered by? Food supplies that last for how many months? What's an armored trooper and how many of these does the cruiser have? What are AT weapons? How does the ship have a constant supply of ammo? How powerful are the laser cannons? Gonna need some more details.

@Sijo: first of all, please fix the formatting of your sheet?

  • The Doctor: I mean, not much to change... apart from the TARDIS. Let's have it be broken for a while, make it so the Doctor has to be on foot for a few days before finding a way to fix it. Could make a quest out of it.
  • K-9: No problems.
  • London: 8.5 million people is a tad too much don't you think? You're gonna have to cut down on size and scale considerably. I suggest choosing a part of London, maybe the one containing UNIT's headquarters and surrounding areas.

  • Ok, does it look better now?

  • No problem with the TARDIS being broken. As I said, it happens all the time.

  • Hey, I just looked up the population of London on Wikipedia. If you wanted a smaller number you should have said so. Now I'm going to have to research where UNIT is supposed to be and then find out what the local population is. Will get back to you.

Edit: Ok, it seems that (one) UNIT HQ was located under the Tower of London, in turn located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets: population 256,000. Is that better?

In story being a Abnormal Survivor was Plot armor and Fyana's "Unstoppability" on the battlefield was that everyone else was too slow to react. So here it's different. I was hoping to have both be nerfed to, Chirico can only survive if he is given the appropriate intervention, namely his crew. And Fyana's reaction time can't appropriately be written out so I imagine that would be heavily nerfed thanks to that.

The Burglar dog is 3.852 meters tall, so around 15-16 feet. And as for food, with a full crew (Somewhere around 200 people what with how easily mass produced the AT is) that would be most likely 1 week not rationed, so about 3 months worth of food I supposed for the crew of 6, as for the rest. Power is most likely nuclear, Hydroponics and life support are most likely algae, it was never really clear in series. So I am just going off of what I know of most long term spaceships

As for weapons, the Laser cannons were powerful enough to blow holes in other ships so I don't know how to measure that, most of the self defense systems have to be operated by a pilot so with a crew of 6 that's going to be a issue. As for Armored Trooper Weapons, if you look at the Burglary Dog it's weapons are 2 missile launchers (one mounted to the right hip and shoulder) a gatling gun (left hip) the anti-armor drop folding gun (left shoulder) and a 20mm Heavy Rifle.

And how does it look now?

  • Main Character
    • Name: Toyosatomimi no Miko
    • Age: 1441
    • Appearance: Shotoku Taoist
    • Personality: Miko is a surprisingly casual person in spite of her noble nature, often joking around. For the most part, she's a very polite person and also very confident to the point of being very arrogant. She's cooperative and friendly towards other humans, but is very suspicious of any youkai or non-human beings. In battle, Miko shows absolutely no weakness to the point it looks like she's seeing through her opponents.
    • Powers: Miko has extremely good hearing, being able to listen to sounds from very far and even being able to listen to as many as 10 conversations at once. She's also able to listen to the basic desires of the people around her, though not exactly their means of doing so. In combat, Miko has a wide array of light attacks to draw from, be it by throwing light beams from her sword or just fire a small beam of light from her shaku. She's also capable of teleporting small distances by enveloping herself in her cape. Finally, she grows stronger the more the people around her have faith on her.
    • Equipment:' Miko carries with herself a shaku and a sword for combat. She tends to prefer her shaku, but she does draw her sword for some of her bigger attacks. Her cape also allows her to teleport herself across small distances.
    • Backstory:' Miko was once known as Prince Shotoku, a genius that was a born into a high position. She always had a fear of death and with that she was convinced into taking the path of taoism so she could become immortal. She practiced taoism though she spread buddhism in order to ensure her political power. The very taoism that she was practicing was also destroying her health, resulting in her deciding to become a shikaisen by dying and coming back to life, however her plan was almost foiled as monks who had found out about her plot sealed her into an eternal slumber, until the day the seal was broken and she was able to come back to the world as a saint.

  • Supporting Cast

    • Name: Marisa Kirisame
    • Age: In her teens
    • Appearance: Ordinary Magician
    • Personality: Very straight-forward and informal, Marisa is quick to act if she hears something even remotely interesting going on. Marisa is very much a liar though she usually makes fairly transparent lies, she can condesceding, like she wants to make fun of other and often struggles to show sympathy. She does, however, know when it's time to joke around and when she has to get serious. She's a magician who's very confident in her abilities.
    • Powers: Marisa fights with spells of brute force, firing star shaped bullets and many laser beams at people as her primary offensive attack. Marisa is equipped with many explosives in the form of bottles with explosive liquid inside, though they're as much of a danger to her as they are to others. She can also summon four spheres that rotate around her in order to further increase her barrage of bullets. She also possesses a magic broom that she uses for aerial transport, as well as a weapon.
    • Backstory: Marisa is a magician that lives in the Forest of Magic, she's very hard-working towards her magic studies, resulting in her becoming an abnormaly powerful human magician. She lives by herself in the forest, despite having a father in the human village that for some reason she doesn't like to talk about. During one of her trips to the Human Village, she ended up being caught in the whole mess, and just when she forgot to bring her mini-hakkero too...

    • Name: Hieda no Akyuu
    • Age: 20 (1200+ including past lives)
    • Appearance: Memory of Gensokyo
    • Personality: Akyuu is very polite, but also rather curious and fairly affable. She's very wise despite her looks and is quite willing to share her knowledge to those interested. She can also be very snarky when commenting on things, particularly if she's annoyed by it and she's quite willing to express her displeasure with things if she wants to.
    • Powers: Her power is of memorizing everything she sees even if she's only seen it once. What has been seen truly cannot be unseen.
    • Backstory: Hieda is the ninth in a long chain of reincarnations of the "Child of Miare". Because of this, her memory goes back over 1200 years despite her young age. Historically, the role of the Children of Miare has been to collect and compile information on the various youkai and youkai hunters living in Gensokyo, as well as to compile historical articles, which are published as part of the Gensokyo Chronicle. Of course, with the current predicament of the Human Village, she's not very sure if writing about it really counts as part of Gensokyo's history...

    • Name: Reisen Udongein Inaba
    • Age: Unknown
    • Appearance: Lunatic Moon Rabbit
    • Personality: Reisen is a very straight-forward person, having quite the no-nonsense kind of attitude and an upright posture. She has a very stable and balanced personality compared to most of the other people that surround her. She prefers to avoid people instead of interacting with them, unless she's looking for information or has some sort of goal with it.
    • Powers: Reisen has the ability of manipulating waves, such as sound and light waves. Her red eyes also allow her to mess with the opponent's mind, being able to do things such as turn herself invisbible to their eyes or makes multiple copies of herself. She's able to fire bullets through a Finger Gun with them being either small, faster bullet or bigger, slower ones that explode on contact, or she could fire many at once with shotgun range that explode very quickly. She's also capable of firing lasers from her eyes or sending strong damaging waves at her opponents. She's also capable of flight.
    • Backstory: Reisen is a Lunar Rabbit who fled from the Lunar War that happened in her home, abandoning her comrades. It's not known whether she did it out of cowardice or something else. She was found in Eientei by Kaguya and became her pet and Eirin's student. Nicknamed "Udonge" by the latter and "Inaba" by the former (though that is how Kaguya refers to all rabbits), Reisen now loyally serves and protects her master and teacher. She goes to the Human Village to sell medicine from time to time, and of course everything would go wrong during one of her visits.

    • Name: Raiko Horikawa
    • Age: ?
    • Appearance: Phantasmal Percussionist
    • Personality: Raiko is a free spirit who's very laid back and can easily make friends with other people. Being a living drum, she loves to make some noise and make concerts. She's also very kind to other creatures like her that were born from objects.
    • Powers: Raiko can control lightning, be it by shooting them from the smaller drums that surround her or just summoning lightning and making it fall rhythmically on the battlefield. She can also summon other taiko drums that she can use as projectiles, as a shield or even summon two of them that can fire projectiles of their own, though they're very easily destroyed. Her main weakness is that with her being just an extension of the drumset, any harm caused to it also hurts her significantly and she also gets noticeably weaker if she gets separated from her drumset.
    • Backstory: Raiko was born from a taiko drum that had become a tsukumogami through age, but because she was frequently used and enjoyed use, she wasn't a vengeful tsukumogami. Raiko noticed a strange power enter her body and a desire for revenge against those who used her. Despite her ferocity, Raiko soon realized that the new power she felt was from an item known as the Miracle Mallet and that it would not last forever. Fearing that she would lose her new-found freedom when she ran out of power, she quickly worked to finding a suitable replacement for it. Taking a rather large risk, she abandoned her old taiko drum for a new drum kit and drummer, cleansing her body of the Miracle Mallet's power and making her self-sufficient while claiming that her new power is from magicians who live in the outside world. She taught that method for other tsukumogamis like her and currently aims to make a paradise for tools such as her. Unfortunately she just had to make a concert in the Human Village just as it was being brought to Battleworld...

    • Name: Sekibanki
    • Age: ?
    • Appearance: The Rokurobi Horror
    • Personality: Sekibanki is slighty prideful and with a cynical view of things. She is normally recalcitrant towards both humans and youkai, and she doesn't get involved much with them.
    • Powers: Sekibanki can detach her head from her body and even make multiple copies of her head, allowing her to greatly expand her vision. The detached heads can all fire eye beams at the opponents as well or just ram into the opponent like flying bombs. Sekibanki can also expand her neck greatly if need be. Sekibanki herself can also fly.
    • Backstory: Sekibanki is a youkai that frequently hangs around the Human Village, disguising her youkai identity with her capelet. That's really all there is to her.

    • Name: Hata no Kokoro
    • Age: Approximately 1300
    • Appearance: The Expressive Poker Face.
    • Personality: Kokoro naturally has a quiet, child-like personality but also a love of the stage, and relies on her masks to properly communicate her emotions. These emotions can be said to be stored inside the masks. Before that, though, she is very quiet and hardly lets any emotion show, but now though, she has develop a better sense of self and stabilize her emotions.
    • Powers: Each of the masks which make up Kokoro embody powerful emotion, and will impress that emotion on the holder and those around them. When all 66 masks are together, their effects complement each other and are under Kokoro's full control. If an individual mask is separated from the group then it retains its properties, but Kokoro will also lose the ability to feel that emotion completely. The mask themselves hover around Kokoro and can be used as projectiles and even being able to fire lasers from them; she also gets different abilities depending on the mask she's wearing, such as being able to breath fire while wearing a dragon mask or ramming into enemies with a fiery aura when wearing the mask of a kitsune.
    • Backstory: Hata no Kokoro is a menreiki, a type of tsukumogami, born from 66 masks made by Toyosatomimi no Miko and used by Hata no Kawakatsu in the sixth century. The masks themselves all became tsukumogami, and eventually coalesced into the youkai Kokoro. She at first was only able to show emotions through her masks, but eventually she became able to develop her own emotions.

  • Chunk
    • Human Village
    • Description: The village is fairly small and is surrounded by plains. Some images for reference.
    • Content: Like any village, there are plenty of shops to find in here. Most noticeably being Reisen's medicine shop where many kinds of magical potions can be found for sale, such as healing potions and even small pills that can provide the user good dreams at night. There's also a school to be found, though the teacher for it is absent, youkai exterminators, restaurants, etc. There's also a Secret History Association that aims to make a human-only society.
    • Specialties: None
    • Population:' Despite the name, the village actually a good number of non-human beings in it. With the incident of the Battleworld happening, most humans are quick to place blame on the youkai in the village, creating tension between them. Furthermore the Secret History Association and it's goals make cooperation between youkai and human all the more difficult, as is the fact that their leader, Toyosatomimi no Miko, sides with the humans. All in all for the most part the two factions do cooperate with each other if only due to having no choice and there are a good number of humans that get along well with the youkai in the village. The village has around 500 hundred people in it.

Gonna say that I have interest, which I should've said when you were looking for interest.

Problem is, a lot of the things I like are either Mundane Made Awesome or hard to rework into this. I'll think on it and maybe get something up tomorrow.

Sarah made it a point to highlight that this would lead to his death by firing squad, then ordered him not to flee to any of the numerous border worlds beyond Dahl's reach. Ooh! This looks really really cool. I think I'll do Sveta from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, with the Royal Palace in Belinsk as her chunk.

EDIT: Sheet time! The supporting characters and chunk description will be added later.

Main character

  • Name: Sveta
  • Age: ~17
  • Appearance: [1]
  • Powers: Sveta can summon Djinni for a variety of effects, but they get out on standby after use. She can use Djinni on standby to summon various spirits, which puts the Djinni on "recovery mode", where they cannot be used. Djinni go from recovery mode to "set" mode (the mode where their effects can be used) after a few rounds.
    • Djinni
      • Fleet: Fleet raises the speed of Sveta and up to three others for 3 rounds.
      • Breeze: Breeze heals Sveta and up to three others for roughly a third of their health, trading the potency of Sveta's own healing for mass invigoration.
      • Bolt: Bolt hits an enemy with a lightning bolt.
      • Waft: Waft calms an opponent to the point where they no longer feel like fighting. This only lasts for a round or two, but it can make a big difference.
      • Haze: Haze can make one target invisible and intangible for a round, though their attacks can hit enemies just fine during that round.
    • Summons: All four summons can hit more than one target, but not more than four or so.
      • Jupiter: A powerful wind spirit. Still weaker than Sveta's other summons and only requires one Djinn, so Sveta uses it against especially weak enemies or foes who are on the edge of defeat.
      • Atalanta: Rather weak (but stronger than Jupiter), but still useful. Used as the second part of a combo with Procne should Sveta's Djinni all be on standby at the same time.
      • Procne: The most practical of Sveta's summon, since one summon of Procne ends most battles. If all of Sveta's Djinni are on standby, she summons Procne, then "curves" into Atalanta, as Procne costs 3 Djinni and Atalanta costs 2.
      • Thor: The nuclear option. Thor is only brought out when Sveta is facing a truly terrible enemy. Since Thor costs 4 Djinni, if there is anyone left standing after Thor's Attack, Sveta summons Jupiter to take out the stragglers.
    • Psynergy
      • Cure Poison: Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Sveta can do this with little to no effort.
      • Restore: Sveta can use this to heal others of various status conditions, like paralysis and confusion. It does not cure poison, hence why Sveta has Cure Poison. Takes a bit more effort than Cure Poison, but not much more.
      • Vital Boon: Sveta can heal one target enough that the target will (most likely) be back in prime fighting condition afterwards. Takes a decent amount of effort.
      • Sonic Slash: A wide blade of air is launched at a target. Can only be done 3-4 times before having to switch to other means of damage.
      • Destruct Ray: Sveta calls down a massive bolt of lightning, which hits in a small burst around the targeted area. Sveta can only do this 3 or 4 times in a fight before having to switch to Djinni or good old fisticuffs.
      • Tempest: The other nuclear option. Sveta summons a massive tornado to devastate the battlefield. Can only be done 2-3 times a fight.
    • Beastform: Sveta can periodically switch to her Beastform, which gives her increased physical power and stamina at the cost of being unable to use Psynergy, Djinni, or summons. When she is in this form, if there are any Djinni on standby, one Djinn will return to set mode per round she spends in Beastmode.
  • Equipment
    • The Umbra Gear: A special set of armor made from some kind of black metal, built to withstand extreme heat and light. They are made to fit beastmen, a race that Sveta is a member of and rules over. They also come with a pair of knuckles made from the same material, and whenever Sveta attacks with them, there's a small chance that they will instead fire a massive Kamehame Hadouken.
  • Backstory: Sveta was born into the Morgal royal family, the Czamarals. She was the the younger sister of the King, Volechek, but after he sacrificed his horribly mutated self saving the world, something Sveta was going to do instead, she has taken over as Queen of Morgal, with Belinsk as her capital.

Supporting characters

  • Name: Eoleo
  • Age: ~23
  • Appearance: [2]
  • Personality: Hot-headed, brash, and always ready for a fight. Warm and kind to his friends and too hot to handle for his enemies.
  • Powers
    • Djinni
      • Reflux: This Djinn is used as a counterattack, dealing twice as much damage to Eoleo's attacker as they dealt to him.
      • Chili: This odd Djinn uses the power of spicy food to damage and stun enemies.
      • Wrath: This spirit of revenge inflicts more damage if an ally was defeated recently.
      • Stoke: This Djinn grants inspiration to others, raising their attack power.
      • Glow: This Djinn resurrects a fallen ally with near-certainty.
    • Psynergy
      • Searing Beam:
      • Dragon Fume:
      • Protect:
      • Debilitate:
    • Summons: Eoleo's sumkons play the same roles as Sveta's; Mars is for poking enemies to death, Kirin and Tiamat combo well together, and Meteor is the nuclear option.
      • Mars: A powerful fire spirit appears and blows fire at Eoleo's enemies.
      • Kirin:
      • Tiamat:
      • Meteor:
  • Backstory:
(More will be added later, it's really late so I can't finish this now.)

@Locoman:

  • Klein: no problem here.
  • Supporting Cast: no problems here.
  • Big MT: actually, I think it would be cool if the fence was still on, but near breaking point, which would put a big target on Klein's back- if he doesn't fix it, all other chunks will be in trouble. How does that sound?

@Sijo: I mean, did you, at no point, think that one guy and a robotic dog taking care of 8.5 million people might be too much? I think 256,000 gets a tentative yes. It depends on how many people the other chunks will have. So look for an even smaller alternative in the mean time.

@Echoing Silence: there's still the matter of what an Armored Trooper is and how many of those the ship has, otherwise it's just fine.

@Meanken: just one thing- it happens to be a flying city. So is it always flying or can it switch to flying city mode on a whim?

Just putting it out there my characters will be Kuvira, and her chunk is Zaofu. Don't let that keep you guys from choosing any characters from the Avatar franchise.

The radar fence only stops robots and cyborgs from leaving (such as the Think Tank themselves), so it doesn't really apply to anything that's not a robot. Also, Klein and company have been trying to escape the facility for decades now, so they'd want it broken... especially since they'd want to "experiment" on the rest of the battleworld.

@Strat It's always flying, and is never seen not flying once it's in the air in game. The city in question was built on top of a mining barge, so theoretically they could turn it off, but due to the fact that they do not know how to move the thing to make sure it doesn't just turn the place into a giant hole in the ground when it hits land and the fact that there's a very real possibility that they might not be able to get it back in the air if they do that, it's for all intents and purposes stuck in the air.

@Meanken: would you think it'd be interesting if the city was grounded temporarily? At least until they find a way to get it in the air again, maybe by... stealing some tech from other chunks?

@Locoman: then it's accepted.

This is a Armored Trooper AKA the AT. It's a mecha in short and the cockpit is most of the chest, the Carrier has 20 of them since Chirico has a tendency in series to lose his to heavy enemy fire.

SIGNUP WHICH I SPENT MOST OF THE DAY ON

ALSO CRIBBED PARTIALLY FROM MY SIGNUP ON AT INTERVALS

I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE BEEN DRIVEN INSANE

Main Characters

Name

  • Emiya Kiritsugu. Japanese name order; family name first.

Age

  • 30

Appearance

Personality

  • Kiritsugu is a jumble of motivations, both impossibly idealistic and ruthlessly pragmatic at the same time. He has the ruthless touch of an assassin, using modern firearms, traps and explosives to take out his targets. The only object is elimination. He has no qualms about underhanded methods. So he kills his emotions, separating himself from the trigger. By disconnecting himself from his mind, he becomes a living weapon, existing solely to eliminate. Though his methods may seem outright sadistic at times, he takes no personal pride in his assassinations. They are calculated risks with successful conclusions. He kills the few to save the many. This is his personal philosophy, and the only thing he will not bend or break. Collateral loss is acceptable to him, as long as more lives are saved by his actions. His targets are those who will cause more death by living. He tries to see all life as equal, weights to be measured on a scale. Despite this, he is prone to extreme despair at times, often caused by his genuine love for his family and his revulsion for killing. He was an idealist in his youth, wanting to become a hero. Although he lost that idealism when he entered the battlefield, it still grasped him in a twisted roundabout way, manifesting in his philosophy of killing. He wishes to use the Holy Grail to remove all suffering from the world. He knows that he will lose his wife eventually, for she is part of the Grail. He knows that he will have to kill again to realise his ideals. It tortures him. But he will do it, because the peace of the world is worth losing his happiness for.

Powers

  • Skilled Assassin: An efficient, cold-blooded killer, Kiritsugu is skilled with a wide range of modern weapons. By planning ahead, he can use both the environment and his own traps to a great degree of success, and his experience in both assassination and battlefield work makes him a deadly opponent. Even then, he can think on his feet and adapt tactics on the fly. Surveillance cameras, claymores, sniper rifles - whatever he can find, he will use.
  • Magecraft: Kiritsugu mostly eschews his family Magecraft. By using mundane methods to end his magical opponents, he becomes a heretic Mage, branded with the title of Mage Killer. But his spells, though average, are still useful tools. He is a top-notch infiltrator of magical barriers and a decent creator of them. He can enhance his physical attributes with Magecraft, cast suggestions on the susceptible, and use familiars as surveillance units. Perhaps his most useful skill is his Time Alter ability - by creating a miniature microcosm inside his body, he can control the flow of time inside himself, allowing him to accelerate or slow his movements directly. He can increase to twice normal speed with Double Accel and slow his metabolism up to one-third of its normal speed with Triple Stagnate. However, these techniques do not come cheap - the strain of his body returning to the normal timeflow usually results in broken bones, damaged organs and internal hemmoraging. Therefore, he cannot abuse this technique by any means - even using it requires extensive planning or desperation on his part.
  • Origin Bullet: Kiritsugu's Mystic Code. The manifestation of his Origin, the concept that defines every human's existence. Kiritsugu's is Severing and Binding. Just as a rope cut and tied can never be seamless, it carries the meaning of irrevocable change. This manifests in his daily life - he cannot fix anything delicate without ruining it, though he can manage cruder tasks without a problem. Two of his ribs have been powdered and placed into sixty-six bullets. When fired, they manifest his Origin inside the victim's body. To the Mage, this is lethal - it permanently destroys their Magic Circuits upon contact with Magecraft, crippling them and causing fatal injury. To a normal being, this will cause irreparable necrosis. While outward healing may take place, the nerves and blood vessels around the hit area will be completely destroyed, rending the part useless. These bullets are loaded into Kiritsugu's modified Thomson Contender, a single-shot, break-open pistol designed for hunting and magically enchanted to fire his Origin Bullets. While the gun is useless in actual combat, Kiritsugu chose it for its unmatched stopping power. It is highly accurate, and can penetrate body armor and kill even large game in a single shot. Before using the Origin Bullet, Kiritsugu tends to load the Contender with .30.06 Springfield rounds to deceive the opponent. As only nineteen Origin Bullets remain, he is extremely sparing in their use. He will only consider them in a life-or-death situation.
  • Command Seal: The mark that proves Kiritsugu to be a Master, chosen by the Grail; a crimson crucifix on his left hand. With it he can give three inviolable commands to his Servant Saber. The vast amount of prana contained in each Seal will also fortify her in order to aid her fulfilment of the command.

Equipment

  • Trenchcoat, tie, unkempt hair. Tends to use a Walther WA 2000 Sniper Rifle for long-range elimination, with a suppressed, laser-sighted Calico M950 sub-machine gun as a backup sidearm. Carries his Contender with him at all times, in a rosewood box with Origin Bullets. The Calico and the Contender he keeps in a briefcase, with the Walther in its own carrier because of its size. He always has a knife on his person. Otherwise, due to his skill with firearms, he will make use of whatever the task at hand requires.

Backstory

  • Emiya Kiritsugu first appeared on the battlefield as an angel of death, arriving only when a conflict was hopeless and collapsing one side entirely. In the world of Mages he became infamous as the Mage Killer - an assassin for hire who eliminated his targets without Magecraft, using the lowly weapons of the mundane world. When he entered the employ of the once-mighty Einzbern family to represent them in the Fourth Holy Grail War, he was given the Lesser Grail in the form of a homunculus, Irisviel von Einzbern. His role was to protect and prepare her, but he ended up going beyond that and teaching her about the modern world. The two fell in love, married, and had a daughter, Illyasviel. Kiritsugu was wracked by the horrible knowledge that by participating in the Grail War, he would be part of the conflict that would cost his wife her humanity. But he had a wish for the omnipotent Grail, to end all human strife forever. In pursuit of that goal he could never falter.

Name

  • Arturia Pendragon; Servant Saber

Age

  • Frozen at fourteen, twenty-four at death, technically about 1500 years old.

Appearance

Personality

  • Serious and aloof, Saber seems more a man than a woman - appropriate, given that she acted as a man for all her adult life. Though not incapable of smiling, she seems constantly pressed by a sense of duty, chased by a past life of leadership with all its responsibilities. She holds strictly to the code of chivalry, dislikes scheming, and will never refuse to help the innocent. This means that she often comes into bitter conflict with Kiritsugu, who is perfectly willing to sacrifice the innocent for the greater good. When faced with an honorable duel, she will complete it by any means, to the point of handicapping herself to give her opponent a fair fight. Saber has no sense of femininity, preferring on casual days to wear the suit that Iri picked out for her. Her interactions with females hold the noble courtesy of a knight, and her interactions with males hold an air of military formality.

Powers

Heroic Spirit

  • As a Heroic Spirit, a unique existence sublimated to the Throne of Heroes, Saber exists in the world as a Servant, a spirit tied to her Master Emiya Kiritsugu. As an incomplete Servant, she is incapable of dematerialising like others. She receives prana from her Master-Servant bond, and requires it both to function and to fight. Should she exhaust her entire supply, she can disappear altogether.

Servant Parameters

  • All stats are relative, A being the highest and E the lowest. No-one has any idea what they actually mean. Ignore Luck. Relevant skills are explained below.
    • Servant Parameters
      • Strength: A
      • Endurance: B
      • Agility: B
      • Prana: A
      • Luck: A+
      • NP: A++
    • Class Stats
      • Magic Resistance: A
      • Riding: B
    • Personal Skills:
      • Charisma: B
      • Instinct: A
      • Prana Burst: A

Class Stats

  • Magic Resistance: With her dragon's blood, Saber already possesses a high degree of resistance to magic - this is multiplied severalfold by her nature as a Servant. Moderate spells are neutralised on mere contact, and it will take considerable spellcasting ability to even consider damaging her.
  • Riding: By dint of her status as a mounted knight, Saber has the natural ability to ride any vehicle, mount, or machine she comes across with supernatural skill, with the exception of dragons and other Phantasmal Beasts. She can also augment them with her armor. It is unknown whether this works on non-twentieth century vehicles.

Personal Skills

  • Expert Swordswoman: Saber possesses a profound and instinctive mastery of swordplay. She can disarm a tournament-level kendo practitioner in one second with an unfamiliar bamboo blade, and her skills with her own sword far surpass any human.
  • Factor of the Dragon: As holder of the Element of the Red Dragon, Saber possesses a Magic Core that allows her to generate vast amounts of prana merely by breathing - the prana she receives from her Master is then used to activate this stored supply. This grants her a tremendous amount of energy, but also renders her susceptible to anti-dragon weapons.
  • Prana Burst: The main element of her fighting style. Saber uses her enormous reserves of prana to augment every move she makes, granting her blows tremendous force. Her strikes generate so much energy that they become visible, and even her steps can crack concrete. This compensates for her slender frame and natural frailty, giving her attacks the metaphorical punch of a shotgun. Metaphorical because they tend to be stronger than a shotgun.
  • Instinct: Saber has supernatural intuition, allowing her to evade attacks out of her field of vision and assess even unknown threats with a degree of accuracy. This allows her to ascertain the probability of victory and when she has made a grave mistake, though it is by no means infallible. Treachery has a lessened chance of working against her, but it can.
  • Armor: Formed from solidified prana, Saber's armor can be called up in an instant, affording her considerable protection and augmenting her close-range, explosive fighting style. It does encumber her, however, and dispelling it allows her to gain maximum mobility at the cost of almost all protection.
  • Blessing of the Lady of the Lake: Under the Lady of the Lake's auspices, Saber can traverse water as if it were solid ground.

Noble Phantasms

  • Invisible Air; Bounded Field of the Wind King: A Bounded Field of swirling air that surrounds Saber's blade, rendering it invisible. This allows her to both conceal her true identity from other Servants and exploit the fact that she has, in essence, an invisible sword. The high-pressure wind augments the power of her sword, crushing and tearing like a vortex. When released, it can take the form of a cyclonic burst or a barrier of wind, the latter of which she can sustain for several minutes.
  • Excalibur; Sword of Promised Victory: The divine-forged sword of the King. Excalibur acts as the manifestation of Saber's ideals, and the people who looked up to her, wishing to be saved. Ninety centimeters in length and twelve centimeters wide, it is indestructible and will never lose its edge. When revealed and charged with prana, it glows with a bright golden light that evokes serene memories in the minds of the beholders. Upon activation with its true name, almost all Saber's prana surges into Excalibur, allowing her to release an all-consuming wave of energy capable of incinerating fortresses. The all-out nature of Excalibur means she cannot use it frivolously, and even a single use must be only as a last resort.
  • Avalon; The Everdistant Utopia: Saber's greatest Noble Phantasm, the sheath of invulnerability. Unlike her other Phantasms, this one exists in reality, still in pristine condition after 1500 years. Upon activation with its true name, Avalon dissipates into golden light and surrounds her, granting an ultimate defense - for a moment, she exists both in reality and in the fairies' Bounded Field, the utopia Avalon, allowing her to phase through almost any attack on any level of reality and deliver her own. She is currently unaware of its existence, however, and the sheath currently resides in Irisviel's body.

Backstory

  • Arturia never wished to be King, but she took up the burden. Born to Uther Pendragon and raised by Ector, she disguised herself as a boy to draw the Sword in the Stone. Merlin warned her of her destiny, saying that once she chose there would be no going back. The moment she drew the Sword Caliburn she was frozen in time, eternally fourteen. She became King, her boyish good looks allowing her to conceal her gender from the teeming masses. She was praised as God's chosen, her agelessness seen as a divine gift. She became a skilled leader, a mighty warrior, a shining figurehead in front of her army. The King was always right. For ten years she fought off the barbarian invaders and dispensed justice, swiftly and cleanly and without any hint of cruelty. The Knights of the Round Table served her with devotion, and even those who guessed at her true gender kept their mouths shut for love of their King. The King was always right. The King drew recruits from every fief in England, marched over the corpses of her enemies in a vast wave. No Knight caused more death than the King. The King was more than human. The King was always right. The King was inhuman.
  • Among her Knights Arturia began to inspire fear. She was so perfect, so accepting, so rigidly unquestioning in her duty that she seemed almost soulless. She never tried to understand anyone, only choosing the right and proper path. As her Knights left her one by one, Arturia accepted the process as natural, having left her emotions behind a long time ago. The Battle of Badon ended with victory. The country, it seemed, would enter an age of peace.
  • The King had married Guinevere to dispel doubts as to her gender. In doing so she kept the Queen from her true love, Lancelot, causing the desperate lovers to elope. Traitors who hated Camelot eventually revealed the affair. Arturia did not blame Lancelot for his love, or Guinevere for her sacrifice. For once she understood that the King had come between them. But despite her wishes, she had to exact her royal duty. The King ordered that Guinevere be executed for the crime of adultery and high treason. Lancelot, unable to stand by and watch this senseless tragedy, fell into bitter hatred of Arturia.
  • While quelling a rebellion on her borders, the King's scabbard was stolen. When she returned, she found her country being torn apart by unrest. At the Battle of Camlann she was wounded fatally by her nephew Mordred even as she slew him. The King was taken off the mountain of corpses and brought by her loyal knight Sir Bedivere to the side of the water, where she had received Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake. After three attempts Sir Bedivere threw Excalibur into the lake, where it disappeared in the clutches of a pale hand. The King lamented her life, even though her faults remained a mist in her mind. She lamented the mountain of corpses and the suffering of her country. The King had failed. It was her fault. Then Gaia appeared to her, the will of the World itself, and with her last breath she begged for a final chance - to find the Holy Grail which had eluded her, and so save her country. Thus the Once and Future King continued beyond time and hope.

Supporting Cast

Name

  • Irisviel von Einzbern

Age

  • As a homunculus, technically 10. Physically of childbearing age - around early to late twenties. Does not age.

Appearance

Personality

  • Kind and forgiving, Iri possesses a warm emotional intelligence that her husband lacks. Despite being an Einzbern homunculus and thus technically non-human, she acts as his constant support in his torturous route towards the Grail. She understands her husband's ideals, if not necessarily the brutality of his methods. But what she does believe is that Kiritsugu is a good man, and that for him her death will not be in vain. To that end she constantly allays his doubts and fears, reminding him that he needs to live for their daughter. She possesses a surprising sense of fun, as shown in her dangerous, carefree driving. Because of her gentle nature, she has a surprising camraderie with Saber, and acts as a decoy Master to protect her husband.

Powers

  • Magecraft: As an artificial creation, Iri's Magecraft surpasses her husband's by an order of magnitude. She is a skilled healer, and was taught by Kiritsugu to defend herself with alchemy. With long blue skeins of prana, she can create a bird homunculus capable of unwinding to restrain her enemies. Despite the fact that she is terribly suited for combat, this allows her a measure of self-defense.
  • Homunculus: Iri does not need to eat or drink, so long as she has an adequate supply of prana. The Lesser Grail is fused into her organs, and will work regardless of her state of sentience. However, because of the anatomical accuracy of the Einzbern alchemists, she will die if killed - in other words, sustaining a lethal wound will destroy her consciousness and leave her a non-sentient vessel.
  • Avalon: Saber's greatest Noble Phantasm, currently existing in Iri's body as a Conceptual Weapon. The sheath grants incredible healing properties to its bearer as long as Saber is in the world, allowing her to regenerate rapidly from even fatal wounds. The only thing that can kill a holder of Avalon is destruction of the brain. Her fate means that delaying death is little more than a useless gesture - but to her husband, it remains a necessity.

Backstory

  • Irisviel von Einzbern was created as little more than a vessel. She was helpless, unable to name objects or even react when hit. Then Emiya Kiritsugu came into her life. With surprising tenderness for a professional killer, he saved her from her creator's wild test in the Einzbern forest, taught her about the modern world and eventually fell in love with her. The two married under the shadow of death. They had a daughter, despite the impossible odds, to allay Kiritsugu's despair. Iri continues to support her husband. She will do so until the end.

Name

  • Maiya Hisau

Age

  • Unknown. Presumably early twenties.

Appearance

Personality

  • Maiya Hisau is a woman with no sense of self. She exists solely as a machine, and lives entirely for her savior Emiya Kiritsugu. If Irisviel represents the humanising influence that Kiritsugu must overcome, Maiya is the lifeless husk that he has to be - with her passivity she enables him to kill. She does not love him. The word love is too shallow. She lives through him like an organ of the body. What humanity still left in her is dusky and ill-defined.

Powers

  • Basic Magecraft: Trained by Kiritsugu, Maiya possesses a practical working knowledge of Magecraft. She can produce illusions and detect Bounded Fields, and has taken most to using bat familiars implanted with cameras. The hair implant in her little finger, sourced from Kiritsugu and replicated vice-versa in him, allows them to sense the moment of each other's deaths.
  • Skilled Assassin: Like Kiritsugu, Maiya is adept at killing. She uses a Steyr AUG assault rifle and a Calico SMG as arms, and also carries a knife. While she lacks the extensive knowledge of her partner, her efficiency allows her to act as reliable backup.

Backstory

  • The girl had only one purpose - to point and pull the trigger. The leering men who beat her and the other children made sure of that. She did not remember her name. She did not remember her parents, save the fact that they were both dead. She was entered by the men and it hurt, but in the end it was nothing. She lost her baby, but babies were small and had little blood. Then one day a man came to save her. He killed the men and brought her to live with him. He gave her a name, manufactured on her very first fake passport. From that moment on, Maiya Hisau lived only for him.
  • Maiya acted as Kiritsugu's partner, aiding in his contracts with more coldness than he had himself. They pursued a sexual relationship with no real emotion. When Kiritsugu married Irisviel, Maiya agreed to take his Contender and store it for the Grail War, allowing him to start anew. But as the marriage went on he came to her again. He had to learn to betray his wife, he admitted, he had to prepare to kill her. So they copulated, and for him it was torture, but she treasured every second. At one point they stopped. It remained a secret, lurking under every glance and look but never said. Still Maiya Hisau lived only for him.

Chunk

Name of the World

  • Fuyuki City

Description

  • A Japanese port city, divided into the towns of Miyama and Shinto by the River Mion. Has an eclectic mix of new and old buildings, with a certain amount of mystery to some of its areas. The harbor and shining red bridge over the River are major features, as is the pristine Ryuudou Temple with its many stairs. Detailed map here, detailed list of locations here.

Contents:

  • Pretty much a regular Japanese city, circa 1995. See map above.

Specialties

  • Fuyuki City has leylines suitable for the summoning of the Grail, which congregate on Ryuudou Temple. Having studied the city intently, Kiritsugu is completely familiar with both its layout and leylines, which he can theoretically bump with explosives to cause a delayed earthquake. However, his only attempt has not yet borne fruit, the estimated wait being forty years.

Population

  • Team Saber, who will start off in the Emiya Residence. All other Mages, Masters and Servants have been removed from the city, leaving it filled with nothing but its ~200,000-strong population of Muggles. Also Team Saber. Residents of note are the Mayor of Fuyuki, Hirai Kiyohira, the elderly Canadian couple Glen and Martha Mackenzie, and the young kendo enthusiast Fujimura Taiga.

I have presented Saber in her full OP glory so that she may be nerfed accordingly. Come at me. Also sorry for the severe amount of text, please don't kill me.

did you, at no point, think that one guy and a robotic dog taking care of 8.5 million people might be too much?

No, because that's not his job. He gives advice, deals with the Monster Of The Day and then leaves. I get things will be different here, but -at least at first- I see no reason why The Doctor would think it's up to him to help govern the exiles; he would most likely spend most of his time investigating the origins of Battleworld. At some point UNIT might ask him to find food and such, but again, that's never going to be his main interest.

In any case: perhaps we could limit his Chunk to the Tower of London UNIT base, which should reduce the number of people to a few hundreds. But I see things still going the same way.
