Years after the events of Predacons Rising, Bumblebee is summoned back to Earth to battle several of Cybertron's most wanted Decepticons and assembles a team of young Autobots that includes Sideswipe (a rebel "Bad Boy Bot"), Strongarm (an Elite Guard cadet), the bombastic Dinobot leader Grimlock, and Fixit (a hyperactive Mini-Con). Bumblebee will also be experiencing visions of Optimus Prime.[8]

Cast[edit] Will Friedle – Bumblebee[9]
Stewart Allen - Russell[10]
Darren Criss[6] – Sideswipe
Peter Cullen[11] – Optimus Prime
Ted Mc Ginley - Denny[10]
Khary Payton[10] – Grimlock, Bisk
Tom Stourton - Skeet[10]
Mitchell Whitfield[6] – Fixit
Constance Zimmer[6] – Strongarm

It's got Darren Criss in it. I'm sold.

Eh, not too keen on Bee being the only returning cast member.

Apparently, should there be a Season 2, they'll elaborate more on the previous cast, according to the Wiki.

For YEARS I thought the original Transformers theme song went "Transformers! Robots in the skies!"

I was confused with Grimlock being green, and then I realized that was probably to invoke Bulkhead.

On the fence about this, will judge it when it comes out.

I hope to Primus that's not really Grimlock and just some Decepticon spy. They've already tried as much as they could for us to buy in that the games, novels, and Dinobot comics are canon with Prime.....then they turn around change everything about the character except for him being a T-Rex.

As a loyal fan to TFP, I was a little bit skeptical but then I realised it reminds me a bit on Rescue Bots and how cute and funny it looks. Now I cannot wait!

Yeah. Good fun, good form, good show.

And I'm pretty fucking sure swearing is acceptable here. If it isn't, just ignore that previous sentence.

So far it's alright. It starts a bit abruptly. "Bumblebee's a lieutenant for some reason. Here's Sideswipe. Optimus Vision! Bam, Earth!"

That said the lighter tone hasn't really hurt the show as much as I'd feared. I do miss Prime's awesome fight scenes though.

I just got finished watching the first episode, and wow I'm really loving it.

I wish the animation wasn't so hard to look at.

Only 17 posts? Well 18 now? Transformers arent as popular as they used to, huh?

To be honest, I only became fan after watching Prime. Previous cartoon didnt interest me at all, even Animated. So who am I to talk.

Sure, show is Lighter and Softer than its predecessor but that was PRIME. What isnt?

I do hate that they had to redesign old characters. Bumblebee had the coolest/cutest eyes but now he has to be generic main characters, so weird eyes are a no-no.

I do like team, especially Grimlock and Strongarm but I'm bugged by Fixit's gag where he uses the wrong world. It annoying and a little insulting if you remember that in Prime, Bumblebee also couldnt speak clearly and that wasnt played for comedy.

Chompazoid, Sharcticon...Is every Decepticon in this show is going to be some special subtype? It could be interesting but its to early to tell.

Also I cant take seriously giant robots holding tiny guns. Real Autobots have build-in guns.

While we dont know much about him yet, I do like Steeljaw, though I would like if he had less generic name. In fact its a problem with many characters in show (or rather franchise), but he's the most glaring.

Ok, I know I made plenty complains but I did enjoy first 3 episodes. Definitely looking forward to next season where Prime characters will return.

Saw the first three episodes a few hours back.

Nice. grin

I honestly thought Steeljaw would sound more gruff, but he's actually well-spoken. He sounded like he was voiced by Crispin Freeman until the credits established that it's actually Troy Baker.

Also, his "turning a new leaf" thing, he's faking it, isn't he?

finally saw the first two episodes and i'm watching the third right now. i'm really liking what i'm seeing, and i hope we see more of Underbite, he was such a character. [lol][lol][lol]

i also love what they did with Grimlock. [tup] is Strongarm new? if she is or not, i liker her in this show; by-the-book cops are always fun foils.

dang, Steeljaw is one smooth criminal. heck, he almost convinces me a few times.

So are each Decepticon of the Week going to have a different M.O. the 'Cons have been known for over the years? I mean Underbite's the G-Rated Big Eater version of say Skullcruncher, Overbite, etc. and Terrashock seems to be employing the Use Your Head collision tactic of Ramjet, Tantrum, Motormaster, etc. Hammerstrike's the Naval Warrior (Seacons, Submarauder). Going by his bragging Bisk is the Glory Seeker.

Considering the Decepticons are escaped criminals in this were looking at a Rogues Gallery aren't we?

So I don't know about this season, but just for fun throwing these out there as future possibilities Pyromaniac, Trigger-Happy, Mad Artist, and The Dreaded.

I laughed at the end of the Pilot when Optimus tells Bumblebee "You've assembled quite a team". Like, Optimus, have you watched the episode? They've not actually accomplished anything and spent most of it each doing whatever they wanted. Underbite got defeated solely because Optimus bamfed into reality somehow.

Maybe he was just trying to build morale.

I hope they don't waste the potential of human villains this time.

I still haven't seen an evil super soldier punch parry an Autobot (or Decepticon).

That would be so dumb, since even if they are of equal strength, the autobot would weight several times more than the soldier so the soldier would go flying anyway. And if he doesn't, then the show's clearly not trying.

It's called Physics.
