Well, it's accepted, but the chances of you ever using some of these powers (especially the planet-destroying sword) are very slim. You know that, right?

There's also the problem of none of the characters i'm interested in playing lookign human, but that can be worked out.

Your characters can obtain human form if the AU calls for it.

To be honest, I like how there's nowhere for his powers to go but down. I think it makes adaptation more interesting.

I was thinking that he would be either a railroad magnate with a personal stake in the train that's about to be robbed, an idle wanderer who made his fortune on the gold mines, or a politician of some fashion.

If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~

[up]Have him as a giant monster, but much, much smaller? Like the size of a three story house for the current Western setting and non-radioactive?

Since Godzilla is a nuclear allegory, maybe you could reimagine him as an outlaw that is unraveling the traditional western dream through new tactics and techniques. He will be the embodiment of the downfall of the west.

He could be this hulking nine-feet-tall juggernaut who carries a Gatling Gun ripped off the wheels, throws bombs all over the place and just in general enjoys senseless carnage with no recognition for fighters and civilians.

...he and Kharn would get along pretty well.

  • Name: Gene Starwind.

  • Appearance:Bite me!
  • Origin: Outlaw Star (and Angel Links).
  • Personality: On the outside Gene appears to be a brave man who enjoys a good drink and the company of women. He's a risk taker that never likes to be told the odds and often rushes into things without thinking first, appearing very cocky and eager. He's constantly looking for money and hopes to 'make it big' one day. On the inside though he is very guarded and doesn't like to share his true feelings with anyone.
  • Powera and Abilities: Gene is an excellent marksman that can wield a wide variety of firearms. He always carries a pistol and a short barrel shotgun on his person and will sometimes have a rocket launcher handy. His signature weapon though is the Caster Gun, an antique weapon that fires Caster Shells, ammunition that houses spells. His Caster Gun is extremely powerful and is only used as a last resort. Gene also carries a light shield, a portable force field that can save him in a jam.

Gene's dexterity also comes handy in piloting. Despite being something of a novice he can pilot his grappler ship, the Outlaw Star, with relative ease. The. XGP 15A-II, or as he calls it the Outlaw Star, is a bright red grappler ship and supposedly the most advanced ship in the galaxy. It's A.I. has the persona of a sarcastic yet soft spoken old man called 'Gilliam'. Gene and Gilliam often are at odds with each other due to Gene's laziness. The Outlaw Star also features a synthetic-cyborg nav system. Usually Melfina would be this systems cyborg but currently it's unnocupied due to the nature of this RP. As a grappler it ship it sports a pair of grappler arms allowing it to engage in melee combat and more easily board other ships. The Outlaw Star has a particularly costly upkeep, makin' it somethin' of a 'white elephant' and a constant drain on Gene's funds.

  • Backstory: When Gene was 14 he and his father were attacked by space pirates, resulting in the death of Gene's father and Gene developing a space phobia that keeped him grounded for 5 years. At the age of 19, now a smalltime Outlaw, he has an encounter with the Outlaw Hilda who takes him, his friend and partner Jim, and a mysterious girl named Melfina up into space in search of a ship called the XGP 15A-II. After a fight with a group of space pirates that ends in tragedy, Gene secures the XGP, dubs it the Outlaw Start and begins his journey through the reaches of space in order to locate the Galactic Leyline alongside his ragtag crew.

Name: Takamachi Nanoha

Appearance: Here (the outfit on the left is her magical girl outfit; the outfit on the right is her standard uniform).

Universe of Origin: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers

Personality: Nanoha is a kind, empathetic, and idealistic person who's willing to believe the best of everyone. You are her friend. It doesn't matter if you've just met, Nanoha is your friend, and she cares about you (unless you prove to be utterly irredeemable). If she ever finds herself opposing someone, she will almost always try to talk with them and understand where they're coming from. She wants to help, even if that means opposing you. That being said, once she is committed to fighting someone, she will not hold back. At all. If she needs to shoot you in the face with five wave motion guns in order to calm you down enough that you will listen to reason, then by god, that's exactly what she'll do. She is also very heavily steeped in the Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right! attitude, and she will not hesitate to disobey an order she believes to be unethical or unsound.

Powers and Abilities: By herself, the only "ability" Nanoha has is an extreme amount of magic (for a normal person) and a bit of magic control (though not nearly as much or as refined as when she uses Raising Heart, due to the way Mid-Childan magic works). Nanoha can only really fight when she has Raising Heart, which allows her to transform into her magical girl form (Raising Heart takes the form of a small red gem whenever Nanoha isn't in magical girl mode). This allows her to use her magic to it's fullest extent, letting her do such things as flying, binding, and gathering the magic in the surroundings to shoot really big lasers. A full list of her abilities in this form can be found here.

Backstory: Nanoha was a normal girl until she met Yuuno Scrya, a talking ferret (actually a boy mage around her age) who was searching for artifacts called Jewel Seeds. When the two of them were attacked by a creature created (and powered) by a Jewel Seed, Yuuno gave her Raising Heart, allowing her to transform into a magical girl, defeat the creature, and collect the Jewel Shard. From there, she spent the next several days hunting down and gathering Jewel Seeds for Yuuno (because she's nice like that, and she's also having a blast being a magical girl).

One day, however, she met another magical girl named Fate Testarossa. Fate was gathering the Jewel Seeds for her mother, Precia Testarossa, for some unknown purpose. Nanoha and Fate clashed several times, and each time they did, Nanoha tried harder and harder to figure out and understand Fate's side of the story, desperately trying to become the girls friend. During this time, Nanoha meets Lindy and Chrono Harlaown, agents of an organization called the Time Space Administration Bureau which has labeled Precia a dangerous criminal. In the end, Nanoha managed to defeat Fate one too many times for Precia's liking, and so Precia struck Fate with lightning so that she couldn't mess things up even more.

While Fate was recovering from her wounds, Precia and the TSAB+Nanoha and Friends had a chat, and as it turns out (SURPRISE!), Precia is a humongous bitch. She proceeds to discard Fate as a worthless tool since Fate wasn't able to collect all the Jewel Seeds, which she needs to forcibly open a path to the ancient capital of Al-Hazrad and claim the technology there so she can revive her dead daughter (who Fate is a clone of).

As this would case a great deal of damage to time/space, the TSAB isn't having any of that nonsense, and they launch an operation to apprehend Precia before she can make a giant mess of things. Nanoha and Fate eventually join so they can talk some sense into the Evil Matriarch, but Precia just laughs them off and chooses to die rather than submit. With the operation over and Precia neutralized, everyone goes home before Precia's base of operations imploded on them.

In the end, Fate is taken to be tried (and acquitted) by the TSAB, and she and Nanoha promise to remain friends.

6 months later, shit starts getting serious again. Nanoha is attacked by Vita, a member of a group called the Wolkenritter, and she is crushed by the superior strength of Vita's weapon. However, before Vita can finish the fight, it's interrupted by a newly arrived Fate, and Yuuno helps Nanoha to escape. However, during this incident, another Wolkenritter named Shamal managed to steal Nanoha's Linker Core (the thing that lets her use magic), which when combined with her magical exhaustion from the encounter, left her severely injured.

Nanoha eventually recovered, and Raising Heart was upgraded to be able to compete with the Wolkenritter's weaponry. Nanoha proceeded to clash with Vita several times, each time trying to figure out why they acting the way they were. She also met a girl named Hayate, whom she and Fate became fast friends with. Hayate was also (unbeknownst to Nanoha) the master of the Wolkenritter and the reason they were stealing Linker Cores.

Hayate had been bound to an artifact called the Book of Darkness, and if the Book's pages weren't filled in time, it would kill Hayate. The only way to fill the pages was to give it Linker Cores. Thus, in order to save their master's life, the Wolkenritter attacked other mages, desperately trying to complete the Book before time ran out.

Once all this was found out, the Wolkenritter tried to kill Nanoha and Fate to protect their master. However, things go wrong, and the Wolkenritter sacrifice themselves to complete the book while a pair of masked people convince Hayate that Nanoha and Fate killed the Wolkenritter (who were her surrogate family). Hayate didn't take that well, and she ended up fighting Nanoha and Fate herself.

Eventually, all of the misunderstandings were cleared up and the Wolkenritter were revived. All was not a-okay, however, as the Book of Darkness proceeded to go apeshit. It was eventually defeated by Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, and a capital ship's main cannon. After the incident was over, Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate part on good terms, remaining good friends.

It has been several years since that time, and Nanoha and co. are now adults. Nanoha has moved to the planet the TSAB is based on (Mid-Childa), where she now lives with Fate. Nanoha works as a combat instructor for the TSAB, and she is a rather effective (if somewhat brutal) one. She has also gained the title "Ace of Aces" for her power and skill in battle, both of which have only increased with time. She remains as ready to befriend people as ever, and she has not lost an ounce of her idealism or empathy.

  • Name:Godzilla

  • Appearance: Human Form

  • Universe of Origin: [[Godzilla]

  • Personality: Usually cranky, prefers to be left to himself. Often tries to nap. But will defend himself and the innocent when provoked.

  • Powers and Abilities: Super Strength, Toughness, Regeneration, Radioactive Breath (though he forgets that one with each changed universe), and the ability to hold his breath for extreme lengths of time.

  • Backstory: Due to the circumstances of Godzilla's current predicament, much of his own backstory is a mystery to him, as his human brain attempts to struggle with his kaiju experiences and transform them into something his mind can process. He only knows that he is old. Though he appears to be in his late forties to mid fifties, he feels several hundred times older. And, somewhere, there is a home that needs him. A son that needs him. Somehow, some way, he knows he will get back to them.

I fucked up slightly for the powers section. As it turns out, Nanoha can use magic without using Raising Heart, it's just not as strong or efficient (Mid-Childa magic is heavily based on mathematics, and Devices usually do the calculations for the mage. Doing magic without a Device requires one to do the formulas in their head, hence why it's not as strong or efficient when Nanoha has to do it herself). Sorry for the mistake; is it alright if I alter the powers section to fit this, or should I just leave it as is?

Just to make it 'official', I'm posting Sophie's character sheet now. Also, just in case anyone here was planning to play Tales of Graces, I didn't include any of the major reveals about Sophie from that game. Strato, if you still want to see said spoilers, however, I can send you the full character sheet.

  • Name: Sophie
  • Appearance: Height - 4'10"
  • Universe of Origin: Tales of Graces
  • Personality: Seemingly airheaded and flighty at first glance, there is much more to Sophie than what people see on the surface. Though she appears to lack much common sense (exemplified by almost walking off a cliff while chasing a butterfly), she can be acute and highly aware of things around her, though she must learn the 'proper' reactions to such things afterward. Despite her outward lack of emotion, she does know how to 'feel'; it's just that she has yet to be able to recognize and express these feelings with people, events, and most importantly herself. Still, one thing she is fairly aware of is the concept of camaraderie; she is able to develop strong bonds with the good people she meets, fueled by her desire to protect those important to her. She is often left confused by more complicated discussions (jokes are taken at face value, and double meanings fly right over her head), and her straightforward way of thinking means she takes many things too seriously. Despite not knowing much about the world, however, she is incredibly curious and inquisitive, often asking questions about everything; it doesn't matter to her if the question happens to be trivial or loaded (these kinds of questions tend to be unexpected and unintentional on her part).
  • Powers and Abilities: Sophie uses a close-combat fighting style that utilizes unarmed and energy-based attacks; she can equip gauntlets and weighted anklets to improve her damage output. Her martial Assault Artes are fast, allow her to easily maneuver around her opponents to confuse them, and are able to hit multiple times. Her regenerative Burst Artes have an equal focus between single-target healing artes and light-based attacks. In addition, she is surprisingly resilient for her size, able to tank hits that would injure most people and still keep fighting, and even survive some fatal blows. All this is offset by the necessity of her fighting style: though she has a few mid-ranged artes, she must close the distance between her and her opponent to remain effective.
  • Backstory: Sophie was discovered, alone and amnesiac, in a field of flowers by Asbel Lhant, preteen son of the region's ruling lord. The boisterous, but goodhearted child wasted no time in declaring himself her 'caretaker' when nobody in town recognized her, even going so far as giving her the name she now uses. Tragedy struck when Sophie sacrificed herself to protect Asbel and his friends from an unknown creature; her death would ultimately steer them all in different directions in life, for better or worse.
    • Seven years later, Asbel and his friends were slowly reunited by political turmoil throughout the world; it was during this time that the mysterious girl they met suddenly returned, seemingly unchanged save for forgetting all they had been through those years past. Nevertheless, as they journeyed under less-amiable circumstances than before, they found themselves remembering their happier past thanks to Sophie's presence, and eventually reconciling their old and new differences, reforging their broken bonds into a truly unbreakable one. In turn, they soon gave Sophie the one thing she does not remember having: a family.
