...I did post after you explaining i had changed a couple of details, didn't I? I believe that was to notify you it had been modified and hence you should review it again. Your previous post did imply that if I modified it I would get you to review it. I'll change it back but i did not know you required pms to work it out.

Actually, I've never watched the show before! I'll post a character, and hopefully I won't immediately be chased out of the thread with Torches and Pitchforks! Though I definitely intend on watching the show soon-ish.

Potential Contractee Sheet

• Name: Katsumi Akiyama
• Age: 13
• Appearance: A young girl that wouldn't look out of place as the love interest in some dumb anime, with long, beautiful black hair, pure blue eyes, and pale skin. Despite this, she wears what is traditionally considered "Masculine" clothing.
• Personality: Kind to others, though rather shy. She tries to blend into the background, as it were, though that's not to say she isn't sociable if you manage to get past her initial defensiveness.
• Backstory: Katsumi was born to two particularly distant parents. They didn't pay much attention to her, because they were so damn busy with working and the like. This meant Katsumi had to become rather self-reliant, and she learned most of the basics on her own. Eventually she grew into a beautiful young girl, and found that people tended to focus on her. Which she HATED. In an attempt to deflect attention, she began wearing more masculine clothing. Her dislike of people seems to stem from the fact that her parents never payed much attention to her. However, that won't change any time soon...

And now everyone's gonna hate me, I'm sure! But I figure I might as well try...

EDIT: Oh son of a bitch, I missed the announcement about veterans not being accepted any more. Ack, I read gud. Well, place Amity in the standby/reservist ranks.

A discussion with a friend brought up some, uh, interesting ideas when I pointed him toward here and we started brainstorming. This character may have to be on standby for a while depending on my schedule, buuuuut...

Type: Mahou Shoujo, Type II (short-term combatant, a few weeks at most)
Name: Amity Asakura, age 14
Wish: "Kyubey, I want to be able to make those shots no matter what. Can you do that for me?" (One word: marksman.)
Appearance: Tall and graceful, very long dark blue hair with bangs.
Costume: Ice hockey outfit: body armor, dark blue paint scheme, complete with helmet and blades; stick, unlimited puck works. (Most magical girls go for skirts or dresses. My background isn't magical girls, so I tend to be a little more utilitarian in my character designs.) Somewhat unnerving smile under her mask, and she does carry a perfectly ordinary nonmagical sheathe knife of disturbing size, although that's usually hidden under the armor.
Personality: Assertive yet sweet, intelligent, athletic, all of that...it's no surprise that Amity was rather popular back in Vancouver. Whether or not that holds up when she's moved to Japan is going to be a question. And, of course, there's the matter of her rather unnerving smile on the hockey field, and which has been seen in a few other contexts—contexts that said witnesses would much rather not talk about.
Backstory: She was born in Big Beaver by the borderline/she started playing hockey from the time she was nine Sorry. Born in Vancouver to Japanese expat parents, Amity grew up effectively trilingual in English, French, and Japanese. She picked up hockey from an early age and was an enthusiastic player. Her dad took the hose and froze the backyard/Amity dreamed she was Rocket Richard/She grew up big and she grew up tough/She saw herself scoring for the Wings or Canucks/But she wasn't that good with a puck. Ahem. Well, accurate enough, at any rate. Despite being unnervingly good at winning fights with girls twice her size, Amity was a terrible scorer. She was relegated to the role of generally hitting people and causing chaos, until a passing ferret offered her a chance. Of course, the world being what it is, her parents scored a sweet new job in Japan not long after she became the Simo Hayha of the playing field, and here she is in Japan, where ice hockey is sadly not much of a thing.

If the name and my gratuitous use of lyrics weren't obvious enough...yes, Amity is based off The Hockey Song. And, of course, from another franchise, there's another character who could be classified as "magical" (also "psychotic knife nut", but who's counting?) who mysteriously "moved to Canada" and accounts for her last name, heh heh heh.

• Name: Anna "Anya" Zemlyanika
• Age: 14
• Appearance: Short, dark haired, and with a face not unlike that of a pig. Despite this, she isn't that horrible looking, and takes great pride in her personal appearance.
• Personality: Upbeat and cheerful, though not necessarily the quickest when dealing with anything more complicated than basic concepts, Anna takes great pride in her country, and absolutely adores her "nation's heroes", having grown up around so many of them (see backstory). She is warm and friendly to others, and generally goes through life with a smile, with the goal of spreading the smile to as many people as she can.
• Backstory: With a father who deals in "textiles, Anya, textiles," and a mother who stays at home, managing the family side of the family business, Anna grew up in a fairly stable, happy household. Because her father is "A very smart man!", he pulls in large amounts of money form the "textile industry", which he uses to spoil his wife and only daughter. As her father sells textiles to the Russian military, especially the elite forces, she grew up around many Russian veterans, and absolutely adores "the ones who keep us safe and happy".

Because of "concerns" of an unspecified nature, she has been sent off to Japan to continue her education, where she can be safe, happy, and far enough away from the truth.

I'll ask the others in the DT but I would suggest just making a contractee.

I can do one of two things with her. I can play her as an ordinary, nonmagical girl; her meguca-ing activities are limited to offstage and there's no indication to anyone that she's made her wish and taken the shilling^note Or gemstone, in this case; when circumstances (and the GM) allows her to, she shows up "in uniform".

That, or she goes on the bench. She's a bruiser, an enforcer. They're used to sitting on the bench until the coach decides it's time to break out the reserve armor and orders the goon to take to the ice and hit somebody.

I wrote this up quick but I'm a bit tired, does it make sense what I'm trying to get at? :P.

• Name: Seika Kugimiya
• Age: 13
• Appearance: how about this
• Personality: Shy, intelligent, stubborn, lazy, loyal, Seika displays a wide variety of traits depending on the situation. At heart, she is a true idealist. She wants to believe in everything. Seika wants to think that the world is a happy place, that true love exists. However, these ideals are beneath the surface and she only feels them while reading a book or immersed in an RPG. On the surface, she is usually polite to strangers and rather cynical to acquaintances as she has difficulties in putting appropriate value and the problems of others. On top of this, Seika is gifted with an above average intelligence and cursed with finding others' problems boring and inconsequential. Because of how inwardly focused she is, in the real world she has great difficulty making friends. However, she can set aside these difficulties within the comfort of a video game or book. Escaping from the reality to put on a dedicated, loyal, and helpful person while playing online games is her favorite pastime.
• Backstory: Seika's early life quickly led to chaos and unpredictability with her parents' divorce. Both with fragile income and changing constantly, she was passed from one parent to the other often randomly. Not understanding what the problems were and having no real time to forge long term friends, Seika quickly grew to be self-reliant and focused on herself, the only real constant in her life. Her school life was difficult as she so easily got straight As with her gifted intelligence that her classmates sometimes resented it. It also never helped when she very directly pointed out exactly what her classmates were wrong on, and with the constant changing in schools she never managed to keep a friend that could tolerate her personality. Because of how difficult it was to befriend others, Seika found refuge in books and video games. She found better friends on the internet than she did in real life.

How should I introduce myself?

Hmm... just jump in with everybody walking home from school

Yes, I'm aware of the fact that choosing to write a character who might have clinical depression could be a terrible idea... But, I think it might be interesting nonetheless. Besides, it offers a quick and credible way to "take care of her" in case I have to leave the RP for one reason or another.

• Name: Audrey Bennett
• Age: 14 years.
• Appearance: Of below average height by American standards, and delicate complexion. She has medium-length red hair (which she usually keeps in single side-tail) and green eyes. She has a youthful face, accentuated by a modest amount of freckles. If you need a visual approximation of what I have in mind, here's a reference image.◊
  
  When not clad in a school uniform, she's usually seen wearing overalls, t-shirts and a pair of sneakers; but she's not adverse to the idea of wearing more feminine clothing from time to time; though, she usually needs the help of other girls in order to do that, because she considers herself a disaster when it comes to coordinating and accessorizing.

• Personality: Audrey could be considered a dreamer of sorts, with her head usually in the clouds and her attention usually divided on multiple directions at any given time. Because of that, she's prone to strange trains-of-thought and has idiosyncratic perspective that can make her clash drastically with the comparatively down-to-earth people around her. That said, she usually tries her best in order to be friendly and kind to those around her, despite her own shortcomings and eccentricities.
  
  That said, she also has a strangely melancholic and gloom side to her, something that can lead into long periods of “low energy” fueled by streams of negative thoughts and feelings. It's possible she might be afflicted by clinical depression, or a similar kind of ailment, but because she tries her best in order to conceal that facet of her, she hasn't been properly diagnosed yet.
  
  Because of that, she has managed to carve herself a reputation as a perpetual optimistic, always trying to see the bright side of things, taking bad news with a chill attitude and cracking jokes in order to keep the spirits up, even in situations where there isn't too much laugh about... Anything necessary in order to drown her own negativity. She hopes to become a true optimist someday, so she doesn't have to pretend to be one.

• Backstory: Audrey has always had a comfortable life and fulfilling life, despite her eccentricities and the lack of a father figure on her life. However, because the rigors of her mother's job, she has been constantly on the move for most of her life, rarely staying in one place for too long before having to move once again. Just recently, they have moved to Japan, to the small town of Ryuugo. Even though she knows she might not stay for too long, and despite facing the inherent obstacles of living in country so far from home, she has decided to try make the best out of it... Who knows, maybe this new environment might be what she need in order to “evolve” and become a happier and more mature individual.

• Miscellaneous Tidbits:
• She has one of those creepy Cymbal Banging Monkeys, which she calls Rufus. Monkeys are her favorite animals, she appreciates their agility and seemly endless energy.
• On a related matter, she enjoys going barefoot as much as possible, and because of it, she has managed to develop a certain degree of what she calls “monkey superpowers!”. Though, she's not THAT skillful, but speaking in hyperbole is kind of her thing.
• She enjoys sweets quite a lot, and usually carries some with her at almost all times.
• She's a big fan of art in most of its forms. (painting, sculpture, music, dance, theater, cinema, etc.) Beautiful things always bring joy to her, and she wishes she could create beautiful things too. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to have any natural talent for any form of art, (she's a terrible musician, she's inexplicably bad at dancing, and she can't draw anything more complex than a crude stick-figurine) something which frustrates her immensely.

It's been quite some time since I roleplayed, so excuse my crappyness. I'll finish the bio part tomorrow.

• Name: Faye Knightley
• Age: 14
• Normal Appearance: Looks can be deceiving
• Personality: Faye is a bit of an antithesis to those who judge others through stereotypes, being both independent and strong willed while showing off a frail and delicate girl on the outside, acting friendly and sociable while at the same time being a coolheaded bookworm. Back in the old days, most of her friends would see her as someone who they could rely on, and would often come to her when they needed help. That's on the outside. Inside, she suffers from low self-esteem, often blaming herself for the slightest of mistakes and making short of her appearance, competing with the world to prove herself indefinitely. Her perfectionism and fake leadership attitude are a scapegoat for her unstability and doubtful self. She tries her best to hide her flaws from others, making up for it with a collected and independent attitude, succeeding most of the time.
• Bio: Faye was born in an english family that migrated to Japan when she was still an infant, making their fortune there and maintaining their business reasonably well. She had a rather peaceful and ordinary childhood, attending to the best school that their middle-class parents could pay and living in comfort. The girl always stuck out like a sore thumb because of her ginger hair, pale complexion and a surname very hard to pronounce, giggling innocently whenever they said unvoluntarily "naitõrei". It bothered her a bit for standing out too much, but she learned how to mask that shyness of hers along the years.
• All in all, her life has been too short and ordinary to point anything of importance. A girl with few friends, Faye lives out her life without any tribulations. Her competitiveness and perfectionism gives her the desire of being something more, which led her before to ask her parents about helping them on their business by working part-time, to which they denied, always protective toward their daughter, who insistently says that she is more than a child.
• Surely nothing could go wrong with such a macroscopically unimportant girl.

Would it be acceptable if she had been only recently turned into a Mahou Shoujo? Like a week or half of it.

Right now you can't start as a Magical girl. Only as someone who can become a Magical Girl. Then you can RP out how she makes her contract
