To everyone in this thread who helped my story, I'll name you my senpai.
You gotta start somewhere.Y'know, I think that Geomancer's are so underpowered. Especially considering all the boosts I've been giving to the classes but definately the White Mage.
I think I might use the Dungeons and Dragons Druid class as a template.

You gotta start somewhere. It depends on what concept/premise the game has in mind for the Geomancer character.
In Disgaea, IIRC they mostly just have some measure of control over the game's Geo Effects, which could in theory actually verge on Story-Breaker Power dependingo on the particulars (mostly because Invincible exists as a geo effect).
IIRC, FF 5 and 6 geomancers instead "invoke special powers based on their present terrain". Which is a lot less broken in-universe, but could still be epic depending on what the powers are and how you play it with Gameplay and Story Integration.
I see, I see.
Since the Geomancer has many classes that are the same (Elementalist or Taoist), I can combine them into one class.
I wonder if I can have the Keyblade as a true Jack of All Stats for both physical and magical attacks while normal weapons only offer boosts to one type of damage.
You gotta start somewhere. Why not? They're supposed to be special, and everyone who uses them in canon is a Magic Knight.
Well the thing is I want to protray the Jack of All Stats of Keyblades as a bad thing as they don't have the physical power against anything that ISN'T Heartless like swords, spears and what-have-you or the sheer magical power that staffs and staves give out.
Oh and what do you think about a character that switches between two weapons like a White Mage switching from a staff to a warhammer?

You gotta start somewhere. So I wrote a 2000 Heartless sequence (well, 1000 Heartless and 1000 Unversed). I was originally planning to have this sort of thing multiple times, but I get the feeling that they could get a little samey. How do you guys handle battle scenes?
please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?I haven't written much battle scenes.
You gotta start somewhere. You could add variety by having the battles in different environments. If they're in the mountains, they have to watch out for avalanches/rockslides. If they're in the desert, heatstroke, sinkholes, windstorms, and poisonous critters are going to be problems. If they're in the city, the Heartless can easily replenish their numbers...
Can someone please tell me how to edit my title and location?I've done a couple of action scenes, but only "man vs mob", "man and ally vs mob", "man and ally vs boss", and "Humongous Mecha vs Starfish Alien".
I haven't done anything on the scale of "man vs army", so I don't really have a whole lot of advice I can offer.
Okay, who is said character going against 2000 enemies?
You gotta start somewhere.Roxas and Namine (who has gotten a Keyblade at this point). Technically, Xion was there, but she had temporarily merged with Roxas to give him E3 trailer abilities and a second Keyblade, so.
please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?And what abilities and training to they have?
You gotta start somewhere.Roxas: Well, he has done this 50000000 times before.
Namine: Basically none—she inherited natural talent from Kairi and had help from Roxas.
please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?General Strategy for the vs 2000 fight: Keep moving so Roxas and Namine don't get swarmed by enemies. Ao E (Area of Effect) spells are a must.
Roxas: that many times + jrpg/shonen physics = GOD
Namine: She feels like an Est character (A Fire Emblem archetype where a weak, untrained character who can be top tier if you train them.) but I'm sure she has good spells from Kairi and Aqua.
So, no one is going to comment on my idea on using two weapons for different enemies/situations?

You gotta start somewhere. To me they feel less like weapons for differing situations, and more like a Stance System - hammers are more often associated with Mighty Glacier/Glacier Waif, while staves are more a Jack of All Stats kind of thing.
And I'd argue that the White Mage with the hammer could possibly deals with foes who are possibly immune to magic while the staff gives bonuses to magic power, the range magic can travel, bigger and more powerful Areas of Effect ect.
You gotta start somewhere.Acceptable logic, but now I feel like it should be more involved than simply changing equipment at will. Make stricter consequences for the characters for choosing one weapon over the other, and give them inclinations to stick with that discipline/style of white mage-ery.
Shit, I was going to have them simply switch weapons when as any of the FF games don't really do anything like that. Not even Tactics. And I just figured that the Disney Kingdom would just train them in any weapons relating to their class and whatever weapon they want training as a side weapon and let JRPG logic do it's thing.
You gotta start somewhere.....well, come to think of it, Donald canonically has both wands and a few hammers in his arsenal... but they're pretty much interchangeable in terms of use as a magical focus (or in terms of hitting things in the face with it), the only meaningful difference being item-specific properties (stat bonuses, item-specific ability if it has one, etc.)
Yeah, I'm just going to move on for the sake of not over-over thinking it.
I want to give someone a staff with a book on top and call it Akashic Records.

You gotta start somewhere. That's already a canon weapon, though. It's one of Goofy's shields.
Not going to stop me from trying. And since EVERYONE and their mother gives Goofy Save the King I guess I can get away with it.
Also, I can't believe that I didn't say that the main characters end up in Radiant Garden.
You gotta start somewhere.EDIT: Pff. I was super stressed when I originally wrote this post. Please disregard. I am a silly.

My Fanfiction Account | Kingdom Hearts: The Antipode series
@Dorked: Would it help if you wrote both scenarios and see which one you like better?
I think that Sora, at least, mourned off-screen. Not so sure about Riku- it depends on what backstory I feel like giving him at the moment. But your idea's good, too.
Can someone please tell me how to edit my title and location?
