As long as they do not really make the connection to Muse and Otonokizaka then it just is a symbolic thing.
Her not knowing anything about school idols yet went there a year after the the Muse seniors graduated kinda brings that story down to earth more.
Anyway this set up feels more like for a 24 episode anime than 13, especially when compared to S1 of Gen 1.

Dia: I will not let you! Thunder Split Attack!
Anyhow, I actually really loved the first episode. It felt like a merry shenanigans of bunch of silly girls and I liked the quirkiness and energy. Honestly, I would rather watch their Slice of Life antics than actual idol business.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Okay, so I'm not the only one who noticed this.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Okay, so after hearing Snow Halation in so many mashups, hearing it in the context of the show is like, "whatever".
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Man Sunshine needs to stop talking about Muse so much...
This series is going to be way too short, they arnt even going to get out of Muse's shadow before it is over.

That high-speed "taaaaaaaa" was wonderful.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."So Rico is from Otokiwhatsitsname.
How come she doesn't know about Muse?

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Yeah she had the uniform folded up at the beach last episode.
She is obsessive about the Piano and she doesn't have time for anything else but.
(re: Snow Halation) ehhhh YMMV. That scene is a huge tearjerker heartwarming moment for me...
I made this Idolized Julius Kingsley icon back when Akito first came out, and now that the crossover is actually happening, I don't care.Oh, that was quite good. All the strengths of the first episode but none of the roughness
So, going by the ED, it looks like the main ships are going to be Chika x Riko, Ruby x Hanamaru, and Dia x Mari?
They do need to stop talking about µ's, though. And shouldn't there be an A-Rise faction?
Like I said, all the mashups I've heard using it just ruined the impact for me. It's just something that happens to songs that are used like that; they become so overused that even hearing them in their original context becomes tiresome.
Then again, I'm admittedly not big on idol music to begin with.
If there isn't, I'll start one. Shocking Party is the jam.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."So Dia is a closet fan of μ's? And she just outed herself with that accidental broadcast...
Also...
Shine on, you Crazy DIAmond...
And on that "Speed of God" thing... Was that faster than Steve Rogers passing by Sam Wilson a number of times in Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Or maybe she just used JA WARUDO.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It's like Nozomi and Eli had a kid. That was raised by Kongou
I'd be worried that someone else was using the name if I found it like that
Well, that all felt very familiar
I am thinking we will get a curveball in the next episode or the one after, this setup is too 'perfect'.
I am almost positive now that the third years tried to be idols themselves but failed, they might have even been at the Love Live where Muse won.
Kanan dropped out because of family business, Mari left, and Dia became indignant and gave up.
It is the only way to explain th◊is◊.

Rico is adobs, yo.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'll give it this, the girl that's supposed to be exceptionally cute is, in fact, exceptionally cute
Is Mari affecting the accent? That's obnoxious
You don't need to directly compare HanaRuby to RinPana, show. It's kind of obvious
Fake-outs work better if the character involved isn't in the OP
And, yeah, the third years pretty clearly made an attempt at being school idols before
Episode 5:
Despite previously saying that Yoshiko feels like a discount Ranko Kanzaki, I'd still love to see those two perform together on stage (at least, in fanart). Pretty sure the amount of chuunibyou those two would generate would be Made Of Win.
Or better yet, Yoshiko, Ranko, Rikka, Kuroneko and Kobato. To paraphrase a quote from a Danbooru poster, "if those five ever meet, it would be unmeasurable amounts of awesome and hilarious." Hope the fanartists are up to the task.
Also, wow. I'm impressed (and a bit envious) of how Hanamaru has managed to live so far with only the simpler things in life... I actually find it hard to go a day without watching the telly, troping, surfing the net or playing on my PC—doubly so if I did sign up for a social media account, which I've averted so far.
Goth-loli costumes, eh? It looks real good on them. Although it also reminds me of the time μ's decided to wear KISS-like costumes...

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Wasn't quite how I expected Yohane to be handled, though I suppose she'll be embracing the chuuni after this
Also, another character recruited specifically for being cute. I wonder how much of Chika's motivation is being surrounded by attractive girls
It'd be a waste if they don't use the Goth-loli costumes for the PV next week. I'm quite sure I'll enjoy the next episode, since it is definitely going to be light hearted. However, it's going to be 3rd year DRAMA time after that, and I'm not quite sure it'll be better than what was done in S1 of the original series.
Sorry Yohane, Hanamaru still best girl.
Episode 6:
Hmmm... This is the first time I've seen Mari do away with her foreign-ish accent.
And Chika finds opportunity in an impending crisis that's similar to what Otonokizaka High faced three years ago.
Hanamaru nibbling away on some bread is adorable, zura. And even small dogs scare Riko? (I assume it would be a bit awkward for Rin and Hanako to meet her then, hehe.)
So Dia, Kanan and Mari tried their hand at the whole school idol thing years ago, but for some reason or another, it wasn't enough... I wouldn't mind seeing more of that backstory.
Also, finally! PV performance time! Only six girls at the moment, but it's a start...
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."The Aquors first year trio continues to be fantastic. The PV song was pretty cute too.

Just when I thought I got out of watching anime series about Idol Singer groups, I'm dragged back in...
Bit of a slow start so far, and Riko transferring in from Otonokizaka feels like Contrived Coincidence.
Also, Yoshiko feels like a discount Ranko Kanzaki (*ding*) with her chuunibyou, while Mari's speech pattern reminds me a bit of Chloe Lemaire from Girl Friend BETA...
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."
