An expedition is crossing the tundra, generally enjoying their trip across the snowy landscape when in the distance they notice a castle made out of what seems to be ice. Getting closer, they notice that it is not a mirage, but indeed a castle built out of magically shaped snow and ice. Intrigued, they enter and discover a fully fledged castle on the inside, with snowmen bustling about as servants. The more magically inclined members of the party seem worried, but everyone else is amused enough by their discovery.

Theme Music Powerup that plays for the final battle against the villain of a platformer. The battle takes on a completely different, Shmup-style gameplay as the heroes fly through a wormhole, launching their attacks while dodging their enemy's - ultimately the battle is not very difficult, as the heroes have the Infinity +1 Sword on their side.
Touhou 12 - Provincial Makai City Esoteria I think a certain someone in this thread might like the unusual time signatures in this piece, though I'm not very good at exactly identifiying them myself.

The main beat is split into a beat of 6 notes, then a beat of 5. You could go on for days about whether that's 11/8, 11/4, or some weird additive measure but personally I think people who insist that there's a core difference between 11/8 and 11/4 are just being pedantic. The pianist doesn't care what you wrote for a time signature, they're just gonna accent the notes that feel right.
The theme of a desert village. Sandstorms are common in the area but the villagers manage to deal with them, creating odd sights to outsiders watching hooded figures go about their business in the middle of a storm. The village is somewhat prosperous due to its trade routes, and magicians note a surprising magical aura amongst the people, but can't quite pin down the source. Truly, the village is a mystery to all, but a welcome respite for travelers.

A room of pure white houses a lone individual, resting and sleeping within. The solitude of the place lends itself to dreams, as the individual imagines floating along a quiet river among the farmlands and the forests. Everything is calm, and they are the only living thing in sight, though that does not perturb them. The stillness is reassuring, if a bit confusing. They do not remember why they are in the chamber, only that they were promised to be healed and were told to rest. So rest they do, as they fade back into their dreams.

War threatens to collapse the world permanently, but Broken Birds from every country stir together to revolt in a more peaceful manner. At the very last section of the music, first blood has already been made not against another soldier of another country but rather a citizen of his own nation.

Gradually, the sense of calm that nature brings is replaced with one of dread as more signs of a struggle begin to appear in the vicinity, culminating with the sound of an axe lodging itself deep into a tree. However, there are no signs of any human inhabitants, so the mystery is left unresolved in the woods somewhere.

Arrows and poison darts whiz past him as he makes his way past all sorts of obstacles, from vines to rocks to rivers. He eventually manages to lose them, (at around 0:36) only to realize that he has wound up in the deepest, darkest part of the jungle. And now he is being stalked by something else - the jungle's predatory animals!

The theme of a demented practitioner of dark magic who constantly appears to torment the heroes. He appears to have no motivation for his actions other than just doing so for the fun of it, which being employed by the wicked empire enables him to do. Initially he is brushed off as just one of the Big Bad's incompetent henchmen, but time and time again proves to be an extremely dangerous adversary.
