...No, I don't have much else to put here for now. Have some character sheets while you wait.

Character Sheets

Carnivorous Moogle's characters:

  • Name: Luna 'Lunie' Ritzell
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 16
  • Physical Description: Of average height and a bit on the lanky side, Lunie holds herself as though she isn't entirely comfortable in her own pale skin. She stares at the world (a bit disconcertingly, in the world's opinion) from behind a pair of thick glasses. Arguably one of her most distinguishing features is her frizzy, wavy brown hair, which falls just past her shoulder blades. At the time of the Blackout, she is wearing a green shirt with long sleeves, a nondescript pair of jeans, flipflops entirely unsuitable for jungle travel, and a long, thick, red-and-orange-striped scarf.
  • Personality: Indoorsy, absent-minded, artistic, and introverted, Lunie prefers to hang back and observe the world from a distance. While not unfriendly, exactly, she rarely makes more than cursory, awkward attempts at conversation and tends to unconsciously deflect closeness with other people. She greatly values her alone-time to think and dream, and her pokémon and few close friends have learned to give her her space. She's much more intelligent than she seems, but most acquaintances believe her to be not all there.
  • Bio: Lunie grew up in Mauville City, in the Hoenn region, with her parents and older siblings. While her brothers and sisters went on to have successful lives and careers, Lunie has no such ambition and mainly wishes to spend her days reading and dreaming about the world around her. A year and a half ago, her parents decided to move to Bjorholm (partly as a change of pace, partly in the hope that Lunie would find new friends, partly because money was tight and colonists were given financial aid). Since then she has opened up a little and made a few more friends, and is much more interested in the outdoors, but for the most part she's remained her pale, nerdly little self right up until the Blackout.
  • Skills and Abilities: She's very observant and intelligent, and she's good with frightened, angry, or hurt pokémon (people, not so much). When the shit hits the fan, she's surprisingly resourceful, determined, a fast sprinter, and packs a mean punch.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: She has very little muscle or stamina, and her resourcefulness falls apart she thinks someone else can take care of it; likewise, while she isn't likely to complain aloud about it, she feels discomfort keenly and it interferes with her focus and skill. She also knows next to nothing about wilderness survival.
  • Pokémon: Stare, Vander, and 05.
  • Other: She has a preference for Dark, Ghost, and Psychic-type pokémon, and her family's pokémon tend to be rescues. She's also keenly interested in finding out what the Things are and where they came from, and in finding out whether her parents are still alive.

  • Name: Stare
  • Species: Duskull
  • Gender: Female
  • Physical Description: More or less like any other Duskull, save for the bluish tint to her robes, the darker-red shade of her eye, and the lines carved into her mask.
  • Personality: Unusually for a Duskull, Stare is quite friendly, cuddly, and helpful, always willing to please. She hates water, and cramped spaces, however, presumably for reasons relating to her previous owners, and heaven help you if you try to force her into either. She's also much more manipulative than she looks, and Lunie often suspects that she's not the only one doing the training.
  • Bio: Her origins are unknown, save that she was rescued from two crazed old women living in a hut by the roadside, who had been doing strange things like (agonizingly) carving the patterns into her mask. Lunie's family took her in, and she and Lunie bonded over the course of her rehabilitation. She's spent most of her time since helping with the other rescues they've taken in over the years, particularly Vander and 05.
  • Skills and Abilities: As previously mentioned, she's about as good at manipulation as one can be without speaking human language. She's also adept at comforting those in great pain, physical or psychological.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: She has a crippling fear of water, tight spaces, and carving instruments, and if forcefully exposed to them will lash out in a frenzy at anyone close by. Also, again, she's terribly manipulative.
  • Moveset: Night Shade, Disable, Confuse Ray, Shadow Sneak
  • Trainer: Lunie
  • Other: Even moreso than the other pokémon, she seems to be absolutely terrified of the Things.

  • Name: Vander
  • Species: Houndour
  • Gender: Female
  • Physical Description: Larger, stronger, and more heavily-built than your average Houndour. Her fur is exceptionally long, sleek, and shiny, save for where it's thinned and parted by scars.
  • Personality: Vander is aggressive and anxious, quick to attack if she feels she's in danger (which has caused a number of problems). She bullies anyone and anymon she thinks is weaker than her, and anyone she perceives to be a threat puts her into defensive mode; many people and pokémon trying to make themselves friendly have been attacked for their trouble. The exceptions are Stare, who she has not designated as either 'weak' or 'threat,' Lunie's brother, who did most of her training, and Lunie, who is the younger sister of her trainer and therefore exempt from her wrath.
  • Bio: Vander was rescued from a pokémon-mill, where she had been trained too hard, too long, and too young. The healing machine had been stolen from a Pokémon Center and was badly broken, which prevented the pokémon from healing properly and crippled the injured more often than not. She has numerous scars, psychological and otherwise, and she reacts to the world with fear and aggression. Fortunately, Lunie's older brother has rehabilitated her to the point that she is no longer a huge danger to herself and anyone who stands too close. She ended up staying behind when the brother set out to take the Trainer Challenge, and has more or less adopted Lunie as her new trainer.
  • Skills and Abilities: Vander is exceedingly strong and tough, and a very good fighter. She's also surprisingly fast for her size, and her bites can easily take a chunk out of one's flesh.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: While fast, she's not terribly agile, and she's not terribly smart either. On top of that, she's a psychological wreck of misplaced aggression, fear, and berserkerism. She's also completely lost without a trainer to obey or someone to attack.
  • Moveset: Overheat (TM'd), Flamethrower (TM'd), Payback, Rage
  • Trainer: Lunie
  • Other: Her father was a Krookodile. Yeeeaaahhh.

  • Name: 00005 (05 for short, pronounced 'oh-five')
  • Species: Ralts
  • Gender: Male
  • Physical Description: Much like any other ralts, his most distinguishing mark would probably be the bite marks that run from left shoulder to right hip, back and front. A smaller, harder-to-find marking is the small blue tattoo on the back of his head, under his hair, in the shape of two crossed lines, the intersection of which is replaced by a dot. Although still small, weak, and recovering from a mauling, his proportions promise power and grace when he evolves.
  • Personality: Difficult to tell, honestly. He isn't pointedly aloof, and neither is he very social; he mostly keeps himself to himself, and therefore neither humans nor pokémon are entirely sure what to think of him. He seems nice enough, not mean-spirited or begrudging at all, and on occasion he shows glimpses of a mischievous side. While wary of Vander in case of any further attacks, he doesn't seem to unduly hate or fear her; Stare, for some reason, he simply ignores.
  • Bio: The first anyone knows of 05's history is the night Vander went wild and tore out into the yard, barking wildly. At first thinking that it was just another of her nervous outbursts, Lunie and her family were shocked to discover that she had locked her jaws around a tiny ralts, swinging it viciously back and forth like a ragdoll. While they managed to get her to let go, the wounds she inflicted were not battle-related, and the chances of survival for the weak, near-minimum-level pokémon seemed bleak indeed. With time, patience, and help from the nurse at the local pokémon center, they managed to nurse him back to health. The one strange thing they noticed was the lack of empathic or telepathic contact; an ordinary ralts would provide a constant stream of communication, but although this one seemed remarkably untraumatized by his experience he rarely sent a scrap of thought to anyone. One of the few exceptions was to tell his name to Lunie, and to request her as his trainer. She was quite surprised at this, considering that she hadn't formed any stronger of a bond with him than anyone else, but she accepted. Two months later, they moved to Bjorholm. Although he's seemed mostly happy until now, he's demonstrated the occasional flash of irritation and anxiety. In the weeks leading up to the Great Blackout, he's grown more and more agitated; now, he vacillates between cold, hard determination and utter, abject terror.
  • Skills and Abilities: Has demonstrated great intelligence, phenomenally high special attack, and a near-perfect poker face. He also shows unusual telepathic skill, keeping up a telepathic shield at all times, and he knows moves that shouldn't be learned by a pokémon of his species, much less level.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: Although he knows high-level moves (and more in general than he lets on), 05 is small, frail, and underleveled. On top of that, he still hasn't entirely recovered physically from his mauling two years ago, and often has to stop and rest. In addition, the circumstances in Bjorholm have slowly driven him into a panic attack waiting to happen; when he flips out, his psychic control wavers and he spreads his current emotions (namely, intense fear) to those nearby. Any flaws in his character are kept firmly inside his own head, for the time being at least.
  • Moveset: Psychic, Razor Leaf, Future Sight, Psybeam
  • Other: The tattoo on the back of his head seems to glow violently in the presence of the Things. Hmmmm...

Big Daddy P's characters:

  • Name: Seth "Quicksand" Sandstorm.
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 34
  • Physical Description: I so hate the name of this picture which is probably just her zany nature. And hey, this is actual OC made for this specific character so woo. Glad to be able to use this picture.
  • Personality: Aloof, analytical, calm, Seen It All, Determinator
  • Bio: Works for the International Police, got sent to check out Bjorholm and then got stuck without any way to contact his base. Without any way to get new orders he's defaulted to get as many people out alive as possible.
  • Skills and Abilities: Expert at combo-fighting with his Pokemon. Really synchronised and clever use of Gardevoir's psychic abilities (You'll see). Carries a gun just for the sake of having one for when he goes up against Team Rocket or other people. Also knows some martial arts.
  • Pokémon: Gardevoir, Sandslash, Magnezone, Kabutops, Machamp, Hitmonlee.
  • Other: Seems a bit of a Marty Stu so er I'll put down that a weakness of his is that he's afraid of paranormal things. He'll have to spend a few minutes going 'It's not real it's not real' or 'How can i explain this logically' and er, not able to Indy Ploy.

Crewe's characters:

  • Name: Sarah Hayle
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 15
  • Physical Description: Tall and thick, with long, unruly dark brown hair and tanned skin. Usually found wearing worn jeans and a heavy gray sweatshirt, with old sneakers on her big feet. She has dark brown eyes.
  • Personality: Sarah is very gung-ho person. She likes to solve things hands on and head first, and with force. She's always looking for something new and exciting, and is bored very easily. She's not easily frightened.
  • Bio: Born in northern Kanto, she left her boring suburban town to go on a Trainer journey at only eight, with her Sneasel, Nidoran, and Spearow, all gifts from her parents. She never challenged the elite four, and got bored with the League challenge after four badges. She went home and mostly explored the wilderness around Mt. Silver while keeping tabs on the attempts to reach the new region. When her parents wouldn't go along with her to Bjorholm when it was made possible, Sarah found a cousin headed there and went along with him. The two settled in a pioneer town, but moved to Little Bjorholm when things started going wrong with other towns. Sarah's cousin left to investigate what was going on and never came back.
  • Skills and Abilities: Decently strong and smart, not a bad Trainer, willing to do whatever it takes to gets what has to be done, done
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: Utterly reckless, doesn't know when to quit, unaware of her own weaknesses, rather tactless
  • Pokémon: Ion the Nidoking, Domino the Fearow, Rita the Weavile

Musik Maestro's characters:

  • Name: Dusknoir
  • Age: N/A
  • Gender: Male
  • Personality: Dusknoir is cold and calculating. He is able to communicate psychicly, but doesn't use it often, due to his hatred of humans, prefering to speak to them via their pokemon.
  • Appearance: That of a Dusknoir, innit?
  • Bio: While a Duskull, he lived on Mt Pyre in Hoenn. He was caught, and became the main member of his captors team. He quickly evolved into a Dusklops, and was soon traded to another trainer to get him to evolve into a Dusknoir. Thinking that his trainer didn't care for his friendship, just his power, Dusknoir started acting up, and was eventually released. After many years, he ended up in Sinnoh, and happened to be at the Spear Pillar at the time of the Galactic Crisis, where he entered the distortion world. He became a servant of Giratina, dispatched to where many are dead and lost souls are found.
  • Skills and Abilities: Aside from the normal attacks a Dusknoir is capable of, he is also able to sense death, and direct dead souls to the afterlife.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: As well as the aforementioned hatred for humans, Dusknoir is slow to trust other pokemon as well.

Hashil's characters:

  • Name: Alvin Knots
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 24
  • Physical Description: The tan skinned young man is fairly tall, and just a little overweight for his height. He keeps his shoulder length brown hair in a ponytail, with the bangs in front framing a full cheeked, somewhat somber looking face. He tends to dress casually, rocking t-shirts, simple hoodies, jeans, sweatpants, and the like, as appropriate for the weather. Alvin is almost never seen without his black newsboy cap, an item he likes to pull over his eyes when frustrated by something he has no control over.
  • Bio: This Unova native makes his way as an amateur photographer, film maker, and Pokemon trainer (to whatever extent one can be an "amateur" trainer), using whatever equipment he has available to capture the lives of interesting people and Pokemon he meets throughout his journeys around the world. Sadly, he has only seen modest success in all three ventures, never placing above the top 4 in any Pokemon League Tourneys, nor having his work featured in anything but independent film festivals or obscure, niche-interest magazines. He traveled to Bjornholm with the goal of filming a documentary chronicling the early settlers of the new found land. More to the point, he hopes to be one of the first to film and photograph any undiscovered species of Pokemon that may live there.
  • Personality: Alvin is assertive, loud, and unapologetic. He suffers incompetence and foolishness poorly and dislikes those he perceives as lazy or obnoxious. That said, the he still believes strongly in offering respect and kindness where it is due, even in the face of enemies or rivals that have wronged him in the past. It's in everyone's interest to develop thick skin when dealing with him in general, however, since Knots enjoys ribbing those he's fond of.
  • Skills and Abilities: Cameras aside, Alvin is tech savvy and well versed in the use of electronics in general. He's also pretty handy with a pocket knife, an item he's rarely seen without.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: Alvin's impatience makes him difficult to deal with at times, and those who don't appreciate his good natured, if not somewhat crude jokes and criticisms may find him obnoxious. He often has trouble dealing with young kids and Pokemon, and can't cook to save his life, forcing him to spend more money than he cares to to feed himself and his Pokemon at every turn.
  • Pokémon: Swivel, Yuki, Guts
  • Other: He likes Normal types, in particular brown skinned or furred ones.

  • Name: Swivel
  • Species: Smeargle
  • Gender: Male
  • Physical Description: his "hat" is oversize for his head and often covers his right eye. His tail's "paint" is typically blue, but like most Smeargle, he's prone to mixing it with liquids (typically oil paints provided by Alvin) to get other colors. He's a little on the heavy side for a Smeargle.
  • Personality: Swivel's a friendly dog, and generally dislikes confrontation and battle in favor of drawing and playing with anyone he meets, or, better yet, eating everything in their possession and napping afterward. He's fiercely loyal to Alvin and his team however, and is easily the scariest of his Pokemon when angered. Despite this, he appreciate time to himself, and is often seen wandering the streets and roads of wherever they may be at the time by himself, seemingly deep in thought.
  • Bio: Alvin adopted Swivel when he was nothing more than a blind pup whose mother had died in a car accident. It took a great deal of patience Knots didn't know he possessed to deal with feeding, bathing, and over all caring for the needy Smeargle (and cleaning up his countless early scribbles and markings the Normal type left everywhere), but in what felt like no time Swivel old enough to stand on two feet without Alvin's constant supervision, eager to explore the world about him.
  • Skills and Abilities: He can draw, obviously. The creative Smeargle even likes to delve into mediums that don't involve his tail when possible. Swivel's paws are dexterous enough to help with some of the equipment Alvin needs for his filmmaking.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: He's lazy and gluttonous, which puts a bit of a strain on Alvin's finances from time to time. He's been known to respond in uncharacteristically violent ways to loud noises or sudden surprises, as well. Despite being an extremely versatile and nimble battler, all his moves lack power, and he folds like an old ironing board from even moderately powerful blows.
  • Moveset: Sketch, Frost Breath, Storm Throw, Hypnosis
  • Trainer: Alvin Knots
  • Other: He tends to keep one instance of Sketch readily available to be flexible in battle.

Nick the Swing's characters:

  • Name: Callodes "Cal" Castamiglia
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 16
  • Physical Description: A rather unusual looking blond teenager, Cal has golden eyes that match his hair color, and he looks somewhat pale. He is tall and wiry, of a thin and muscular build. Cal seems to have a perpetually disinterested look in his eyes, as if nothing that happens around him is really that exciting to him. He wears a black sleeveless shirt underneath a red jacket, black dress pants, and steel toed boots. Most people claim that he has a strange feeling surrounding him, like he might have a darkness to him that is distinctly rare...and thankfully so.
  • Personality: Callodes at first seems like a type that is always moving, always looking for something interesting, though as most note, his smiles and seemingly endless enthusiasm never reach his eyes. There also seems to be something imitative about his happiness and enthusiastic outward persona, as if he is just copying what he sees in someone else. He does seem to deeply respect "deep seated acts of a greater willpower." While he thinks he is incapable of Heroic Resolve, he deeply admires it in others and constantly tries to, er, bring it out of others. However, once his guard is down and he's feeling a bit more honest, it seems he is a much, much more emotionless person, and seems coldly logical. One could even claim he seems robotic. While he is definitely ruthless, he feels nothing but admiration for people capable of "strong, long lasting emotion". He also deals with What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?, and desperately wants to feel it. Despite his defects, he seems to care for his Pokemon on some level, almost surprisingly so.
  • Bio: Callodes was not always like he currently is. Apparently, when he was ten, while trying to catch a Nidorino, he was injured by accident, and as a result of what was injured, he became what he currently is. He became a very successful battler, fighting in a ruthless manner, but no matter what he won, he could never achieve any measure of happiness for his own achievements. So he began seeking ever more difficult challenges, purely to find out if he could ever be happy. Up until now, he was ever unhappy with how his adventure had been going. He went to the new continent hoping to find something to sate him, and to find a "heroic individual" full of will who might be able to inspire him to "my very best". He seems to dislike talking about his parents, mainly because something happened between them and Cal when they saw what became of their child.
  • Skills and Abilities: Callodes has no idea what "Fair Play" means. Like, at all. He is also capable of analyzing situations without any emotional bias, and can learn skills by watching them be performed a few times. He is also armed with a katana, a gift from his mother.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: He tends to do cruel things without much thought, and not really think why someone might object to this. He also tends to alienate people, due to his "true personality" being quite frightening.
  • Pokémon: Angron the Charizard, Dread the Hydreigon, Kaulon the Drapion and Mallax the Bisharp
  • Other: Callodes has a sister and a younger brother. His sister wants absolutely nothing to do with him, while his little brother hero worships him. Hurt little brother or sister at your own risk.

  • Name: Jesse Gaines
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 18
  • Physical Description: Jesse looks a lot more threatening than he would turn out to be. He has a scarred up body, including a prominent one on his chin, a large, muscular form, and a short hair cut just above a buzz cut, he has black hair and dark, almost red eyes. He wears a black jacket, a white sleeveless shirt, jeans and sneakers. He seems to be very handsome, though he would think his scars would make him less appealing. He seems to be carrying a backpack full of strange, collected items.
  • Personality: Jesse is actually extremely, tragically nice. One could even compare him to one Shirou Emiya, he lives his life to help others and even battled for the sake of his little brother, who was too ill to ever battle. He is a big softy most of the time, being an idealist about love, and showing that he believes in a very familiar ideal "Love and Peace!" He seems disproportionately energetic, and enjoys good food. There are hints that, like Emiya, he has some really heavy issues in his past. Jesse, however, averts Good Is Soft / Impotent, and is willing to do questionable things for the greater good.
  • Bio: It seems life on the new continent has affected him on some level. He had a sneaking suspicion that there was a malevolent force at work, and when the lights went out, he jumped into action. His past seems to see him being an adopted child, and caring very deeply for his ill younger brother, even getting into fights to defend him from bullies. He went to the new continent because he had heard from someone that there might be something there capable of curing his brother's condition. He did not like what he found. From the very start, he could feel there was something wrong there...
  • Skills and Abilities: He is a cunning man, despite acting like a buffoon at times. He is also physically imposing, and his strength is one of his best assets. He and Cal are even Not So Different in one regard; while Jesse prefers fighting fair, he can fight surprisingly dirty.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: His Chronic Hero Syndrome. He cannot help himself but rescue absolutely anyone he sees in trouble. He also tends to be gullible toward people who are manipulating him.
  • Pokémon: Venusaur, Shiftry, Solrock, and Metang
  • Other: Jesse is always very astounded if people act scared when he tries being friendly.

strawberryflavored's characters:

  • Name: Adrian Breez
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 17
  • Physical Description: Tall-ish, with medium short length hair. He is usually wearing a dark gray jacket, with a brown T-shirt underneath, and dark blue jeans. He has dark brown eyes.
  • Personality: Adrian is a bit of a loner, mostly because he is not very good with dealing with other people. However, to the few who manage to befriend him, he is generally a nice person to be around.
  • Bio: Adrian was born in Evergrande City in Hoenn. His parents gave him a Pokemon egg at an early age, which hatched into a Zorua, who he named Stark. He worked as an intern in Professor Birch's Lab before leaving to explore the new region, despite his parents being opposed to the idea. He ignored them, and went anyway, finding it more interesting than Hoenn, which he pretty much knew. He started off in one of the pioneer towns, but later moved to Little Bjorholm.
  • Skills and Abilities: He knows a good deal of knowledge about Hoenn Pokemon.
  • Weaknesses and Flaws: He isn't very good with dealing with other people, or Pokemon for that matter, and can sometimes put himself before those around him.
  • Pokémon: Stark the Zoroark, Kane the Houndoom.

We have a pretty interesting cast of characters, now don't we?

Yes indeed. This is going to be fun! 8D

Now, to rework my other human character so that they aren't identical to one of the other characters... I semi-sort-of have an amorphous idea in my head of what I want them to be like, but every time I try to pare them down to specifics they end up awful. I can't even decide on gender.

...Screw it, I'll introduce them later.

For now, INTROPOOOOOOST

-flies away to start off events-

I have to ask, what do you think Callodes is? Do you think he'll end up being a hero, or a villain?

Jesse's introduction will leave no doubts about him, though.

Hmmm... I guess I'd have to see him in action before I can really make much of a judgment. He definitely seems like he could be a very sympathetic character. I imagine that he'd probably mainly be a hero, although there will be some choices the characters will have to make that he seems like he'd definitely come down on the darker-gray side of, even if for perfectly good reasons. Heaven only knows whose side he'll take after The Reveal.

He seems like he'll turn out to be very much an anti-hero to me. For the most part, though, I guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays out.

By the way, random rule to make things interesting: if a pokémon gets injured or fainted by a move, it's healable by pokémon center (although working healing stations will be fairly rare); if it's injured by anything else, the injury has to heal the normal way, and the pokémon will die from it, rather than faint, if untreated. Does that sound like a good idea to up the tension a little?

To the characters, the Things appear to be horrifying, twisted abominations that look like they could possibly be some kind of pokémon, although not any kind that they recognize.

They're also insanely fast, strong, and nigh-impossible to kill, and they don't use moves or fight in proper battles, so it's in the characters' best interest to avoid them if they can.

Also, while they'll attack and kill pretty much anything, they seem to be particularly bent on slaughtering any pokémon they can find, in as gruesome a way as possible. Thankfully, most pokémon are slumbering in their blacked-out P Cs or their pokéballs, but any trainers trying to fight them are in for a nasty surprise.

Oh, when I posted next, I thought there would be a supply of ones like Resident Evil zombies where there are Licker types and such, but there were also zombies the PC's could kill.

Thanks! I thought that might add a lot to the characters' varying 'OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT' reactions. They'll be able to fight them later on, but for now we're mainly trying to get out of the city.

Well, I felt that a few of the dark things dead to establish some character was acceptable.

And you won't get an Oh, Crap! out of Callodes. Simply because its impossible for him to feel like that.

They can be injured and temporarily incapacitated, but they don't stay down for long. Again, those trainers are in for a nasty surprise... -evil laughter-

Good point. My characters, at least, are going to be flipping the hell out. XD

By the way, quick description of the surrounding area: Little Bjorholm is about two and a half square miles in diameter over a large, previously-empty beach, divided roughly into quarters by two bisected main roads. There aren't any paved roads, although the inner city is slightly more urban than the outer edges. The ground is mostly dirt and sand, and most of the houses are built on stilts to avoid flooding damage.

There's an enormous cliff overlooking the east side of the town, and it goes on for miles, so the characters won't be really be able to go that way yet. The tram station is right out at the edge of the jungle, and the characters are probably right about in the middle of town, so they're going to have a little ways to go to get there.

I sure hope so. Y'all just ignoring the GM's desire have them to actually be scary and threatening would be pretty weak, otherwise, Nick.

@Nick the Swing: Yes, they can. I'll try to more thoroughly outline the rules for enemies, but I have several good reasons, atmosphere-wise and plotwise, for them to be nigh-invulnerable at the moment, and I've stated repeatedly that they can't be killed. Effortlessly one-offing several of them after I've stated that it's currently impossible is not only powerplaying, but extremely rude.

There'll be plenty of opportunities coming up for Establishing Character Moments, especially for Callodes, but Rules Before Coolz unless I okay it otherwise.

I'm not trying to be nasty about it, and again, I'll try to better define the rules and limitations during various parts of the plot; but we're currently in the stages where the characters' situation is uncertain, and if y'all just ignore the rules it kind of falls apart. :/

(Thank you, by the way, to those who have stuck to the rules.)

I'm waiting for a response to fact that I just lobbed a shadow ball over to help the group. I'm still here. I'm not sure if Nick is still playing, but he's around to.

Argh, sorry for being absent, family visiting and every waking hour is eaten up with Christmas shopping and other preparation. Will try to post when I can, and will hopefully be much more available after Christmas.

I am still around.

Callodes is just acting like Kiriyama. That is not something anyone should worry about, though.

At least that vicious sociopath is on your side.
