This is gonna be odd, but I have yet another idea blooming in my head.

Kamen Rider Decade, but with the characters replaced by people with either the same name or traits. So for example...

etc. etc.

Hmm... I must take the Blade finale to it's logical conclusion!

After the End... when only two beings wander the barren Earth...

I just had a weird thought:

Have Haruhi Suzumiya be Kamen Rider Faiz.

Yes, Itsuki, that means that technically speaking, God Is Dead. And yes, Kyon, that means that even being a zombie won't stop Haruhi from harassing you.

Despite retaining the nature of Orphenochs including Faiz, the fic would otherwise be Lighter and Softer. Not as Light And Soft as TMOHS itself, but definitely closer to it than to KRF.

Any takers? Or, failing that, comments?

Alright, I thought of this for a long time... Time for me to write it out.

The Cocktrice Beast was going around, causing fear and panic to the citizens as it turned them into stone. The heavily armored purple Rider looked on, typing away on an iPad. The sheer chaos and destruction it was causing would be a surefire way for the Infernal Defense Force to get the funding they need to ensure this won't happen again. Surely this attack won't be bogged down by that idiot, he thought.

Speak of the devil.

"HEY!" shouted his voice as Kai ran down to confront the Cocktrice. Samuel glared at the kid. He then jumped down to protect the Cocktrice.

"What is it you want? You wish to die like your mentor?" Samuel asked.

"No... I won't let anyone die due to my incompetence! I won't let people be hurt because I'm too scared to fight! Miyuki-sempai... I now know... I now know what you meant by courage granting me strength..." Kai said. Samuel scoffed.

"Foolish kid. Go home before I decide to add you to the causalities list." He said.

"No! Not without saving Urara-chan!" Kai said. He then pulled out his belt. "Not without saving everyone!" He then placed on the belt and whipped out his phone, pressing the code.

1-0-6... {beep} STANDING BY...

Kai then held his phone into the air. "HENSHIN!" He shouted as he placed the phone into the driver.

COMPLETE.

Black lines emerged from the driver and outreached into his clothes. On his chest, the two lines curved to make an M shape. Soon, he glowed red as the rest of his suit was made. A red spandex uniform with a matching cape and two compound eyes, the edges having a sort of feather-look to them.

"So, you wish to fight? Very well, then you wish to die! CAST OFF!" Samuel said as he pulled the sword out from his shield.

CAST OFF!

The armor on the purple rider soon popped off into different pieces. Kai dodged the flung pieces. He then saw the Knight Wolf's true Rider Form. His armor was more sleeker, but it still contained the signature purple and gold, with the W still on his chest. The W on his helmet soon folded down into his visor to create eye shapes for his visor.

CHANGE! KNIGHT!

"If you want the Cocktrice, come and get me!" Samuel said as he pointed his sword at Kai. Kai pulled out a red ruby in the shape of a phoenix on one side of the belt, and a stick on the other side. He plugged the ruby onto the stick.

READY

A blade soon came out of the stick as Kai held it like a sword. He posed, ready to strike.

Pretty much it's: What if Mahou Sentai Magiranger was more Kamen Rider flavored, and so various factors of Magiranger are changed. For one, Kai is an only child. The other Ozu siblings are still there, but act more as allies than family members, with Houka and Urara having an actual family bond. Miyuki is his sempai instead of his mother, and someone original is Wolzard while Isamu still plays the role of Disappeared Dad.

The basic idea is that the Infershia is more of a company defense force akin to Kamen Rider Decade's take on BOARD, complete with the whole "If we send monsters to attack humans, they will be giving us more money to take them out." idea. Miyuki and Kai find this secret out, but before they expose them, Samuel comes and kills Miyuki. Kai retreats and resides at the local library. The rest of the series is devoted to his resolve to expose the Infernal Defense Force's lies and shut them down. This task isn't obviously easy, as their employees will make sure that it won't happen.

How does he to this? Well, before Miyuki and Kai try to expose the IDF's secret, they stole a transformation device the IDF just made. By inputting 1-0-6 onto the phone, Kai transforms into Kamen Rider Magi. Samuel becomes Kai's rival and becomes Kamen Rider Wolzard, using a system similar to the ZECT system. Miyuki uses the Kamen Rider Mage system which bases its attack system off BOARD's rouse system by swiping through spell cards ala Rouse Cards. Two other Riders will join the fray. Hikaru, a Kid from the Future who was given a Time Train, an Imagin or two, and a Transformation Trinket to become Kamen Rider Shine, and Ryuki, an Oni who had been transferred to Kai's city by Takeshi to take down some of the more powerful members of the IDF.

That... sounds pretty interesting, although the only Sentai show with which I'm at all familiar is Shinkenger due to Power Rangers Samurai being a Shot-for-Shot Remake.

is this forum limited only to making fanfics out of existing toku or can I gush out toku ideas and concepts?

okay then

ideas for villains always changed constantly in my growing head

I kinda feel conflicted between villains from space and supernatural villains, so the only logical thing to do is to combine them

among other things should my Big Bad have a form already or just be non-active till he gets a new one?

should the Monster of the Week be made by a Mook Maker or should be recruited from different worlds?

I also wanna discuss if a good way of One-Winged Angel is having the Monster of the Week turn into giant versions but with new designs, weapons and powers

If the monster just gets huge, that's Make My Monster Grow.

If the monster gets huge but takes on a far more menacing and powerful form otherwise unrelated to getting huge, that's One-Winged Angel. Example from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: most Monster of the Week just get huge, but Scorpina goes One-Winged Angel when she grows.

Monster of the Week could be recruited, while the mooks could be made.

so character design, which villain group in any Tokusatsu work or at least a specific villain impresses you the most?

In terms of MOTW designs, I'm rather fond of Dopants and Zodiarts. I also really liked the Orphenochs.

In terms of specific villains, some of the best IMO are Lord Zedd, of course, as well as Astronema and the Psycho Rangers. Villamax and Master Xandred were also pretty neat.

well the Dopants must have opened up my mind to the wonder of design, since years ago I learned from The Other Wiki that most MOTW were animals, all the time, and it was fun to see monsters based from abstract concepts

More than just animals, Dopants can include every concept known to man.

So what franchise is your project going to be most similar to, so that I can possibly be of greater help - Kamen Rider, Super Sentai/Power Rangers, Ultraman, Metal Heroes...?

I got the impression you were going to be working on an original toku project of your own. Mistaken?

probably through dumb luck

If i'm lucky, I'll find a Merchandise-Driven company in Canada and I will leave those to design the heroes to the toymakers while I take pride in making Monster of the Week

the idea of using Adobe Flash as the medium cuz apparently its faster to do it on computer, semi-complex designs are easier to draw or at least what I think from seeing animation of a certain Mattel toyline

Psyga315 Since: Jan, 2001

You'd be surprised to know that Flash can be used to make almost seeming-less animations, the kinds you'd see in your 90's or early 2000's. Sure, it's more harder and a little more time constraining, but it can pull off some amazing feats.

so, which troper on this forum has an idea for a MOTW with at least 2 Stock Superpowers and a Weapon Of Choice?

I wanna know how it feels for Japanese designers when they are told of the episode, and then make a monster for them

Using science as a theme, I give you Positros, a sociopathic, Large Ham Psycho Electro For Hire who has (duh) Shock and Awe and fights like a Mighty Glacier - thus having Super-Strength and being at least Made of Iron relative to other MOTW - and dual-wields tomahawks.

He'll be having the kiddies watch from behind the couch for a while.

Interesting. VERY interesting

among the many ideas zooming around my head is that the tomahawks should have a jagged edge like a lightning bolt and they have a positive and a negative sign

Actually, I'd pass on the negative/positive signs. Positros is named for the positron, which is the antimatter equivalent of electrons, thus ALWAYS having a positive charge.

Jagged edges on the tomahawks is up to the Executives' choice of style, though.

oh well should have checked a texbook since I'm pretty sure I already heard of the word positron

I also tgought of changing the tomahawks' design and just show them as made of electricity instead

Do you think its a good idea to use a turbine motif since when it comes to electricity, mills and generators come into mind
