I think they should cease with animated adult comedies, period. They're rarely well written, and it's not breaking any new ground in regards to the Animation Age Ghetto.
The pinacle of fail was Crash Canyon, which I consider the ultimate waste of canadian animation,

A single phrase renders Christianity a delusional cultFox doesnt have anything from Canada...You must be mistaking it for a another channel.
That video's either trolling or hilarious.
I don't even like Family Guy, and those arguments are headscratching. "Cleveland sounds like Morgan Freeman" ? Really? Seriously, this video's hilarious in how terrible it is.
I dunno,it did have some good points,I can't argue against FOX being taken over by his stuff which save American Dad pretty much are the same things. Or how Family Guy got flanderized
And his point concerning half the stuff Seth puts there (Which lets face it,is pretty terrible shock value) vs Coonskin.
Still the whole "Cleveland sounds like Morgan Freeman" does sound like a troll thing
I remember watching Family guy a few years ago, Cleveland did sound a bit like Morgan. But then again I could be wrong. What does he even sound like anyways? I havent watched the show since season 6
Well, there was the Shawshank Redemption parody.
I have a message from another time...Certainly not! I enjoy Seth's work - the aforementioned Family guy, his later cartoon Family Guy and after that came the scintillating wonder that was Family Guy.
'One trick pony', Seth. Look up the term.
Don't you try anything, you baked good you.Seth sucks. Guy himself was never really that funny and honestly OG Family Guy seems like a fluke now.
I kind of hated how his later works relied more on race comedy for the lulz. Came off as lazy writing and they started becoming more obnoxious than funny(how many times must we be reminded how Jewish Mort is? And Japan quahog...ergh). Just because the joke is "edgy" vulgar or "politically-incorrect" doesn't make it auto-funny. If you ask me, Seth needs to relearn his craft.
Come on American Dad is different and refreshing from Family Guy and got a lot better as it got less political, while FG got worse. Cleveland Show is a FG clone Ill give you that, but not AD. AD is the Middle Red headed child.
I gave FG 2 seasons worth of time to be entertaining. It failed during its first 2 seasons. It's not getting any more of my time.
Eh 3-5 is when it was at it's best. But AD is better than FG at it's best ever was.
I never found American Dad that funny TBH. Still don't, and Roger is even worse than Peter with his douchebaggery.
I've seen this old story...
It's happening all over again: The Dark Age Of Comic Books, in a degree, translated to animated shows: we had some really good adult comedies like The Simpsons, South Park, Beavis And Butthead and Duckman (I don't find Family Guy funny at all, not even the earlier seasons) that had shock value but also had good stories and pretty smart satire.
Now the producers are just greenlighting any show that has shock value Completely Missing The Point and not realizing that people loved the earlier comedies NOT because they seemed "edgy" for the sake of being edgy, but because they were actually very good written.
If history has taught us anything, the modern adult animated comedies will reach a point where it will just not work anymore...probably it's starting to happen already: more "light-hearted show" like Adventure Time and My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic are the ones caughting more fans and atention: less cynisism and sarcasm, more sincerity and entusiasm.

Honestly, the worst thing that happened to Family Guy, and Seth Mc Farlane as a whole, is that they pretty much got Protection from Editors. Yeah, Executive Meddling can suck (and Fox will step in if they feel like they're back against the wall like the Abortion episode), but my God a lot of the stuff about Family Guy needs to actually be reined in.
Ignoring the obvious Liberall slant, the Gorn was what annoys me most.

Off topic, but have you guys checked out Seth's work on Johnny Bravo's 1st season? Hilarious stuff.
The first season was certainly the best one.
Funny enough, without Mc Farlane, the show became Flanderized. I also prefered Genuinely Sweet but Yet Troubling Suzie to Bratty Suzie.
Let's not forget that atrocious art shift. Everyone was so ugly...
On topic, yes. Family Guy was crap even when I first looked at it years ago. I didn't bother with his other work.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. From what I've heard, it's so easy to stand up and scream "Racism!" over every portrayal of an African-American character. One question people need to ask themselves is this: is it more racist to have an AA character with flaws or to have an AA character without flaws?
Then again, skin colour is a sucker's topic, because the minute you start going into it is the minute you're doomed if you do and doomed if you don't!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!I actually like American Dad. I don't think they should commission new shows from him, no, but if his shows are still picking up ratings I don't think they should cancel them.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them. This Hate Dumb surrounding Seth Mac Farlane is unbelievable. For one thing, he hardly ever actually writes episodes. Plus, plenty of creators have had numerous shows on the air at once: Norman Lear, Aaron Spelling, Chuck Lorre, and many others. Why is Seth the only one who gets any flak?
The racism charge is ridiculous too. It seems pretty hypocritical to complain about one group being targeted when the following ethnicities have been made fun of on his shows: blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos, Native Americans, Middle Easterners, Indians, Scandinavians, English, Irish, Germans, Italians, Russians, Jews, Ethiopians, French, Canadians, Americans, and plenty of others.
I also agree with the people defending American Dad. Saying that it's a Family Guy clone sounds suspiciously like Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch, because nobody who has watched it beyond the pilot would say that.

Seth can do some good work, when he is given free reign. But when he is pigeonholed, you can see his work lack and it seems like he lets his team take much of the burden.
On another note- Fox should stop buying shows they can't handle. Fox and ABC are on par with how many shows they cancel.
"Why is Seth the only one who gets any flak?"
For all intents and purposes, Seth is the face of Family Guy, and the two Base Breakers he voices (Stewie and Brian) are the Spotlight-Stealing Squad, with the latter also being something of an Author Avatar.
Yeah, it's not fair that Seth gets blamed for all the flaws of the show, but like any Creator/Person in Charge, the blame gets directed to him. That and even if he isn't the writer anymore, he could certainly veto or address the larger issues that are being attacked.
Regarding pitching anymore shows I think they should at the very least only accept different genres from Seth from now on, I agree American Dad and even The Cleveland Show have differences from Family Guy, but they still very much all follow the same adult humor satrical sitcom dynamic and even have similar family templates in places (Bumbling Dad, Closer to Earth wife, Bratty Teenage Daughter (that's always Demoted to Extra), sensitive Kiddie Kid, snarky Funny Animal). He needs to try something different now.
I still think Seth would work better doing an animated sketch show.

I finished watching this rant on Family guy}. While it may have a few pointers, I didnt notice the racism part on Seth's part(meaning him getting away with racism). So with all the stuff thats been happening on Fox animation donimation, do u think Fox should stop picking up stuff from Macfarlane?
