Cause this needs to get done, and a couple of people working on +10,000 wicks just won't cut it.
What needs to be done:
- Clean up every HONF page, removing first person, this troper, context-less examples, etc.
- After being cleaned, move the page to the Nightmare Fuel namespace. If it is locked, you can ask for it to be unlocked here. See How to Move a Page for more information.
- Remove all wicks to Nightmare Fuel, High Octane Nightmare Fuel, and Accidental Nightmare Fuel that do not appear on a YMMV page, a Nightmare Fuel page, or a trope description.
- Change correct High Octane Nightmare Fuel wicks to Nightmare Fuel.
Add finished pages to the sandbox page so we can keep track.

I just took care of that one, so this part of the project is done. Tropers, outstanding work. Give yourselves a round of applause or go have a drink, whichever you're legally able to do.
Now, though, the next part of the project kicks in in earnest. We still need to police the HONF wicks that keep trickling in, and the huge, ever-growing list of NF wicks needs to be checked for improper wicking, pot/sinkholing, and wrong usage of the term.
Of note, regarding the first link - the HONF page for Skulduggery Pleasant has been cutlisted, so don't worry with that.

Too bad there's not some way to mark the legitimate uses of Nightmare Fuel on those wicks. Would save a lot of clicking.

Agreed, and making a sandbox page would be problematic because I dunno if it would update like the wick list does.

I hate to be a party pooper, but there are still a number of Nightmare Fuel pages that were not migrated to High Octane Nightmare Fuel and weren't indexed, so they didn't get wiped when Nightmare Fuel did. They still need to be cleaned, and the only way to find them is to cross-reference Nightmare Fuel Pages Cleaned with pages in the NF namespace.
But you guys all deserve a huge pat on the back for what you've done! Great job!

As I said to ccoa via PM, I wanted to give my thanks for giving me the cleanup-related badge despite my efforts ended after nine cleaned-up pages; ccoa's reason for me deserving the badge is the size of those - reportedly "FUBAR'd" - pages (case in point, The Simpsons), to which I ultimately agreed.
I also want to thank, aside from (obviously) the tropers who contributed to the cleanup, the mods who proposed this in the first place, making it possible. Without you, we wouldn't even have a separate wiki for the NF namespace, let alone having it back in the wiki. Considering that when I suggested such a cleanup in Ask The Tropers, back when the NF namespace got wiped out, I got suspended because that complaint was seen as "the last straw"*, the way this cleanup turned out is a significant step up.
Still, I'd like to read Fast Eddie's opinion on this cleanup.

Question for you guys. NightmareFuel.Live Action TV has a lot of folders on it with quite a few examples for each. I'm thinking those folders be better served by moving them to their own Nightmare Fuel page for the series; is there any disagreement on this, or any policy I should be aware of before I do so?
If so, existing examples would be cleaned before moving, of course.

Nope, that's the whole reason we started a Nightmare Fuel namespace, because the example lists were getting so long that individual shows needed splitting off. Go for it.

We'll definitely want to continue to take a look at the main Nightmare Fuel pages for each subject. Lots of clean-up to be done in most of those, and probably some splitting as well.
That said, I've just finished the Live-Action TV page, and I'm now going to take a nice nap.

Question on the NightmareFuel.Anime page: I'm coming across a few Hentai examples; I know this isn't a puritanical site, but given the banishment of a majority of those series, do those examples need to be removed from the general page as well? Or are they allowed to remain as part of the YMMV section? Or is this an issue that needs to be addressed towards the P5?
Why do I have so many questions? Will I ever stop ending things with question marks? And what about Scarecrow's brain?
