On the topic of Haganai, I believe the show does have a bit of underage fanservice aside from that sex scene, but considering it got a mainstream release it might be a pass.
"A buddy is a buddy no matter how nutty."For what it's worth, I saw Child Bride on a DVD set that I bought from Wal Mart. It didn't have anything unseemly (aside from the plot), so whatever objectionable material might be in the movie isn't present on all copies. It was being sold as a Cult Classic with other films like Reefer Madness and The Terror of Tiny Town.
Today I found out that the RPG version of the Monster Girl Quest AKA Monsumo Quest, is being redirected to Daily Life with Monster Girl the manga. It was until later that I found out that it was cut because the content itself (not the tropes it contains) was a pornographic work about a couple years ago. While I'm sad to see it disappear from this site as it did a very good job explaining the the game's Fantastic Racism plot that the main character and his friends are trying to solve and I'm betting there's nothing anyone can do about to change its position now, I have a question about its questionable redirects in other trope pages. Basically the game is still being mentioned in other trope pages, because the game deals with that particular trope but if someone were to click on the link, they will be led into a manga story "Daily Life With Monster Girl" instead. Which makes the redirect very misleading as the manga is not a video game nor does it have the same story as the game's plot as well. Here's the misleading example that explains what happens in the game.
- Monster Girl Quest has the Queen Harpy. Up until now, you could get by with "attack-heal" strategy. The Queen Harpy shows you that attacking without paying attention will get you stomped flat from that point on by having an insta-death counterattack. It drives home that you need to watch what the enemy is doing instead of attacking continuously.
This example is supposed to be the explanation of the game's Wake-Up Call Boss. I've also notice that the Monster Girl Encyclopedia also gets this treatment as well. I'd like to request the deletion of these works' links as the redirects leads to a completely different work instead of the one listed and explained as an example of the trope. I also like to carry the deletion of the links myself if it's too much trouble for the mods at the time to find them all, since I don't think it's too hard to delete the slash-link name "Video Game" from the example of each trope, what I'm worried about how many of them are up there.
Anyway that's my request which is (tl;dr version) the deletion of the Monster Girl Quest works links, along with Monster Girl Encyclopedia maybe, or getting the permission to do so myself. Because I think the redirect is very misleading.
You have a point. I'd favor removing the links to the page that aren't about the manga, especially if they don't even share the same plot.
How does that work exactly? Is there a way to remove the links all at once or do the links have to be removed manually?
You can find all the links through the Related button. There you see all that links directly to the manga and all redirects pointing to it. Clicking on the redirects in the list brings you to the Related page about the redirect, listing every place it's been linked from.
As far as I understand, the links have been made into redirects due to their huge inbounds count - 1320 for the Quest and 371 for the Encyclopedia.
But it really IS very silly to redirect links to a work whose only relation is being in the same genre.
>How does that work exactly? Is there a way to remove the links all at once or do the links have to be removed manually?
Manual cleanup, there's a thread for it. Post about it in there once the discussion in here reaches a conclusion.

I definitely think we should kill the redirects. The trope entries talking about the encyclopedia or the game...are talking about the encyclopedia or the game, not the comic.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.Are all of those wicks wrong? Since they do share a number of tropes, I'd imagine there could be a few that are correct for either work. Still, those could probably just be rewritten instead.
Check out my fanfiction!I think the overlapping tropes would have separate entries for the works. For example Cute Monster Girl has both Daily Life in Anime/Manga section and Quest in Video Games, a second Encyclopedia (i.e. not the one that we used to have a page for) and the precursor to Daily Life in Web Original. And that's just for the obvious - the plots of the things are different as well, and as such they'll have very different tropes.
So yeah, quite a lot of cleanup required, both delinking and rewriting.

I'm fine with killing the redirects. Though I am mildly annoyed about the inbounds, if there's nowhere SFW to point them, then there's nothing we can do. As for the individual examples, remember that cut works are allowed to have examples on trope pages. They fall under No Lewdness No Prudishness; if the example itself doesn't violate policy, it doesn't have to be deleted.
Meh, whatever works. I personally say leave them if only for the inbounds, although if they are actively causing problems, kill them.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenYeah, I'm in support of axing the redirects, too. Inbounds or not, if they're causing that much unneeded confusion, then they should really go.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. To reiterate, they're directed to a completely unrelated work. Their only unifying element is Cute Monster Girl trope... And actually redirecting them to the trope would make more sense than doing it to the manga (though still quite silly)

Has this discussion truly reached a conclusion? I wanted to make sure before I do what Marcach suggested earlier. It looks everyone is in favor of removing the redirects save for a few.

For the record, the redirects in question are Main. The Monster Girl Encyclopedia, Main.Monster Girl Encyclopaedia, Main.Monster Girl Encyclopedia, VideoGame.Monster Girl Quest and Main. The Monster Girl Encyclopedia. I do support the removal of these redirects for the reasons cited.
That said, one question I have is whether Daily Life with Monster Girl is the same work as Living With Monster Girl was (except for being Content Policy-compliant) - the old thread suggests so.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, it is basically a reboot of the Living With series. That redirect makes sense to keep (although some cleanup from doubled up examples can be done)
Voted angel on Adults Only rating. I don't see any reason not to keep it in its current state.
Likewise, having seen the bit in question on Haganai in context, I can vouch for it. It's really no worse than any of the other squillion or so ecchi series flagged. Hell, in some cases, it's actually less in violation of policy.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenSomething in my capacity as new page watchperson:
Someone made a page Hooker Verse because the proper place (FanFic.Hooker Verse) is locked. It was something that was rogue cutlisted back in 2012. Since the page cannot stay where it is (Main.Hooker Verse); I would like to ask if it's permissible to ask for unlocking or whether I should run it through the 5P process before.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRun it through the P5 process first. The title and premise of the thing seems quite suspect.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Flag submitted. I'll also ask ~emeriin and ~nightelf37 whether they can help the 5P.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI just namespaced a work that I am 99% certain is OK by P5 standards, but the subject matter is iffy and I have to admit I am not actually familiar with the entirety of it. Should I report it to be on the safe side? The page seems pretty clean to me and I do not want to waste your time. Lady Lumps VS Boy Bumps
Basically just Groin Attacks and not actually porn, from what I've seen and heard about it (which admittedly isn't that comprehensive).

Check out my fanfiction!Um so, I had nothing to do with the Hooker Verse page being reinstated, but if it helps, there's no graphic sex in any of it, more angst than sex really, and it's got Approval of God. (I didn't show it to them, the producers just go searching for fic, and it's about the characters not the rl people anyway.)
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.I only encountered the Hooker Verse page while Wiki Walking. Since the Fanfic subpage was locked and the main page was an auto-redirect, I decided to go around the coding and check HookerVerse's history. I took what I found, copied it, and pasted it in the Main Hooker Verse page, replacing the redirect to the locked empty page.

I've re-posted the Porn with Plot query into the Content Policy thread, since that is on second look a better venue to bring up a complaint about a misuse of the cutlist.
