I understand not being allowed to discuss stuff you've deleted, but in this case it's not the series but rather its place on the wiki we're talking about. Are you sure s/he forbids any sort of discussion? We're clearly allowed to have our own opinions on whether a deletion was justified or not, so why shouldn't we be able to just inform people who may not be aware of the situation?

Listen to others, think for yourself. You are perfectly free to discuss wiki policy in the appropriate place, which in this case is this thread. You may continue to discuss it here until P5 ask you to stop. You may not make new threads in inappropriate places such as the anime forum to do so.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickNot to over step, but I think this is actually the wrong thread to discuss that, Shima. You want the OTHER thread.
No, he wishes to petition for a page to be restored. This is the thread for Page Restoration Petitions.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickIn any case, I'll just PM those I know worked on the page before it got deleted. I know at least two who might be willing to help.
Let's all stop the debate about Popotan for now. We can return to it once it's been a while since its deletion. Is that fine with everybody?
Listen to others, think for yourself.Yes, please. It's already starting to be more annoying than the Rance games for me...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Ah, sorry for the bad advice regarding the anime forum. I thought it'd be okay to bring the matter up in the Chatterbox or something, but I guess not.
-looks at voting tool and blinks- You really think it's *porn* too? o.O
Okay, okay, moving on. I checked out the first volume of Virgin Night, since a translated version is relatively available.
As a series of unconnected vignettes, it's not exactly got a lot of ongoing plot. (See "series of unconnected vignettes".) It's pretty hard to quantify the amount of porn here, since pretty often there's actual important conversations going on in the same panels as explicit sexual activity. (In some cases I'm not sure how well that'd work, but eh, Artistic License.)
Anyway, there are definitely characters, and exploration of different sorts of relationships and emotional issues. There's a certain amount of YMMV here, since I just plain don't like the way the artist draws sex, but there's enough other stuff here that I don't think you can call arousal the only purpose of the work, and I'm not sure I'd even call it the primary one.
As for ages, none are directly stated that I can see, but I'm estimating that everyone but the teacher that appears in one chapter is somewhere between late teens and early twenties based on appearance and context. No one who looks or acts childish. I'm pretty confident it's not a problem on that score.
Also, there's something about certain pages that reminds me of Kosuke Fujishima's art in a way that makes me slightly uncomfortable, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't violate any rules here.

"So... the time has come for you to meet your demise..."Well, I'm still waiting for that Variable Geo thread. The series predominantly consists of H-Games that would likely fail both P5 tests, but has somewhat cleaner versions in two mediums that seem to be more popular and could easily be separated out.
Present your case concerning that here.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I'll just state what I know.
The V.G. series centers around a Panty Fighter tournament where the losing girls are subjected to some sort of humiliating penalty. In versions rated 18-restricted in Japan, H-scenes ensue, but in others it's mostly disrobing in public.
None of the games are translated as far as I know. The V.G. games that lack the 18-restricted label are:
- Advanced Variable Geo for the PC Engine and Play Station (the Sega Saturn version does have the label, according to The Other Wiki, because it "retains the 'Graphic Mode' setting which allows the viewing of the hentai scenes")
- Super Variable Geo, a port for the Super Famicom which removes the plot; like other SFC games, it also removes the nudity.
- Advanced Variable Geo 2 for the Play Station
There are two anime adaptations, both with English dubs. The Variable Geo OVA (dub released by ADV Films) is on the violent side of ecchi; the Variable Geo Neo OVA (dub released by Critical Mass Video) is Porn Without Plot and not well regarded by fans.
Sorry for posting here, I can't figure out how to start a new topic...
Anyway, I see the complete monster/one piece is locked, so I can't contribute. Could someone with privilages to bypass the lock add Cesare Clown to the list? The guy started as a Mad Scientist working with poison gas, and have been getting worse each chapter ( killed an underling in a surprise gas chamber as part of an experiment, gleefully got his other servants killed by having them unleash a sentient toxic slime, has been experimenting with giving growth hormones and combat drugs to children and in the last chapter topped it by using their addiction-fueled delusions to make them go berserk and sick them on their would be saviours.) I believe he does qualify for the trope.
Think you got the wrong thread, buddy.
Wrong thread, mate. Here you go
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou are in the completely wrong forum. There is a thread here for Complete Monsters.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWhy is everybody in this thread a !@#$ing ninja?
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Don't worry Pyrite, the more of them there are the less effective they become.
I would like to formally request a review of the manga "Oniichan Control" and petition for its restoration. It's primarily a comedy (and one I consider to be pretty funny)and is nowhere near as sexual as some works which have been restored, such as "My Balls". There is some fanservice, provided by one character, but she is old enough to be in college (and, in fact, is in college). As far as the incest thing goes, I would first like to ask if that alone is considered grounds for deletion of the page, and secondly wish to point out that no incest actually occurs. Attempted incest, yes, nothing that even comes close to any sort of consummation. As such, I ask that you please reconsider this cut. Thank you.
I'm nobody, who are you? Are you nobody too?Just wanted to point out that no, just because it's incest doesn't mean it's instantly viewed much more harshly than other works. It's similar to rape in that just because it's present doesn't mean it's an automatic negative to it, they're supposed to be treated the same as ordinary scenes.
By the way, the reasons here are basically why it was cut.
@1970 Can you muster a defense against 'pedo pandering' which is titillating images of child appearing characters?

That they aren't titillating or meant to be?
I have no familiarity with this particular series, but that'd be my guess.
"So... the time has come for you to meet your demise..."Oniichan Control was cut on the grounds of pedo-pandering. I do not disagree with this verdict.
The sister, while stated to be post-highschool, looks like a middle schooler at best, and she is shown several times fully naked and attempting to seduce her brother. Yes the incest doesn't matter, but the fact that someone who looks so young is depicted in such a sexual manner... it clearly fits our criteria for pedo-pandering. Yes it is a comedy, but not nearly enough so for the provocative scenes to be primarily comedy, which would be required here. (Contrast My Balls, which you named, which is without a doubt played for comedy throughout the entire series.)
I advise that Oniichan Control should stay cut.

I doubt they would, but it doesn't really matter, as Shima — a moderator and in a higher position than us — declared making such a thread verboten.
