Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

I saw a Twilight example over on Character Derailment, that appears to be entirely complaining about a character with no characterization turning out to be an unsympathetic Jerkass.
- In Eclipse, the brief amount of time we see Bree Tanner leaves her very pitiable, between her being shanghaied into a newborn vampire army and sent as canon fodder against the Cullens and being murdered by the Volturi. In The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, she goes on endlessly about how humanity sucks and she's so glad she left her human life to be a vampire, showing absolutely no acknowledgement or compassion towards the fact that she now survives by murdering people. Because, you know, any vampire who is not with the Cullens can't possibly have their condition portrayed sympathetically.
Should I cut it?

For we shall slay evil with logic...Comic Books may need a looking at, particularly the absurdly long sector devoted to Carlie Cooper, a former Relationship Sue for Spider-Man.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Final Fantasy All the Bravest is very negative (starting with the page quote).
I could scrub out some of the more egregious negativity, but I know very little about the game, so I might have a bit of trouble rewriting it in a more neutral tone.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdRemoving the last two paragraphs. The first one still refers to the overall storyline and gameplay mechanics adequately enough.
Thank you!
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdReading the Bad Writing Index i guessed in two things:
A) It is possible that the index was created to complain about tropes and say that they are bad.
B) Alternatively, the "tropes" listed there were created to complain about writing.

Snark Bait. Why this survived so long not only being on the main wiki, but not being categorized as Flame Bait, I have no idea. Just look at all the zero-context examples. I don't know if there's anything salvageable from this.
Some of the examples also seem strange. Xkcd, really?
For we shall slay evil with logic...Yeah, that doesn't make sense even within just the context of the example (and I say this as someone who dislikes XKCD).
The protecting veil of YMMV strikes again?
Literature have the following example:
- Don Quixote is this to... western literature. The first part of the novel had a Random Events Plot, a Romantic Plot Tumor and other errors, but the Even Better Sequel had almost none of the tropes under the Bad Writing index. Imagine a world where everyone ignores literary techniques. That was Cervantes' world. Don Quixote was practically the first world well written in the western world, and for those who read it and cannot see nothing special is because good writing is now the norm and not the exception thanks to its influence. Only now after four hundred years, we have a great number of well written novels, but two hundred years ago, Don Quixote was practically the only well written novel in the world.
This sounds as bashing the pre- Don Quixote western literature.

A touch but it can be adjusted to be more about how it was the Ur-Example of many tropes we simply accept now rather than stating how before Don Quixote there was literally nothing.

Familiar Faces is chock-full of MLP fans complaining about what the creator has said about their show.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again. Is there any point to a Quotes.Creators Pet page?
On Memes.Doctor Who, the explanation for Dalek Rangers meme is very...well, I know what it's not, and it's not neutral. I know that it's not the Daleks' most fashionable "look"◊, but the entry does seem very angry and complain-y.
"Mocking the hysterical new designs of the Daleks as shown in "Victory of the Daleks", not helped by the scene desperately attempting to portray the reveal as dramatic and terrifying."

Complaints on a Doctor Who page? Golly gee whiz, what a surprise this is.
Yeah, that's not okay. Needs a rewrite. Something like "Refers to the brightly-colored new Dalek designs that debuted in 'Victory of the Daleks', which were highly unpopular with most fans."

I agree with that rewrite.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMuch better.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdBit of a complicated situation that I'm not sure where to bring up: because of the negative page quote and somewhat negative description, Fake Action Prologue has apparently acquired a lot of "averted" examples that are in fact actual examples which are thematically relevant.
There was just recently a massive entry added to Unfortunate Implications about the webcomic Sinfest. I've never read it, and while I've heard it's exceedingly polarizing and makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable, an entry on a YMMV page that long makes me suspect spleen-venting.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Both the Bad Writing Index and Sturgeons Tropes sound as complaining. The former is about, in essence, tropes that are bad and the latter is about tropes that, 90% of the time, are bad.

Bad Writing Index would be a case for TRS, but it already went through there for a rename and the issue was never raised, so I doubt it will gain any traction soon.
Sturgeons Tropes is properly about Sturgeon's Law. The example entries aren't very complainy, so I don't see a major issue.

Cleaned up the Webvideo article. The YMMV page is about opinions that differ.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty
