Oh, awesome. Digimon World 3 has a special place in my heart due to being the first console game I ever owned.

Digimon world anime when? World 2 and world 3 could almost be simultaneous, considering the story.

Speaking of changes potentially made to the anime, might I be so bold as to suggest a Digidestined-free season? I was never a fan of the idea that a show about nonhumans needs humans in order to be relatable. And before anyone says it I know about X-Evolution, but that was a oneshot.

No thanks. I like seeing the relationship between humans and Digimon play out and while Frontier didn't have digimon partners it still made up for it with the two digimon we did have.

The humans are most of the time the high point of the show for me, so no. The monsters are cool and all, but most of the time they don't have much characterization or background when compared to the humans.

Digimon has humans in it because it is an advertisement for a virtual pet. That said, I could stand to see a season without humans, though my personal take wouldn't be a season without humans so much as a series where humans are not the main characters. They exist and are vaguely known about, but for the most part, encounters are rare.

Digimon would be more powerful than humans but ultimately unable to exist without them, while humans would continue on without Digimon, like how algae is no threat to mammals but will do fine without any around. We're in deep trouble without algae though. Basically, humans would be background, save for when they are studied, gardened, farmed, ect. Though I would have a couple arcs with major human characters or at least a few recurring ones for two reasons: Unlike mammals-algae, humans and digimon can talk to each other and digimon is an advertisement for a virtual pet. Human characters are not necessary and would not usually be around, but they're nice to have sometimes.

Oh, and some monsters like Parallelmon specialize in eating humans so there's another reason. Still, running into an invader digimon such as Parallelmon, Nanimon, Vademon or a "visiting digimon" such as Wizardmon, Wisemon and Sorcerymon from Witchelny, would be equally eventful.

I would also like to see a series that focusses primarily on the Digimon, but then I'd also like to see a heroic Duskmon and the two have about equal likelihood of happening.

[up]The farming thing almost sounds like a Matrix crossover, considering how Digimon feed on human emotions. I don't think a major villain has done that yet.

Well, I hadn't had the Matrix in mind but between human transplants and farming, that does seem like a good idea, especially if it had mechanics similar to Digimon D Cyber or Digimon Savers.

The first arc's protagonist was to be an endangered(at least in Yottabytes, which is to these Digimon what planet Earth is to us) Beemon variant distantly based on God's prosecuting attorney. A viral insect, the proverbial "fly on the wall" at the in-training stage, gradually becoming more adept at information processing and more malicious with evolution. Always considered a nuisance for employing entrapment, blackmail and harsh sentences for slights, the monsters of this path were tolerated only for being passive and benign compared to most viruses... until one evolved into Metamorphmon. The survivors of his rampage traced his evolutions back to the source, deleting most monsters that could become Metamorphmon and leaving the few survivors under surveillance, to ensure it never happened again. (in my setting evolution's more consistent like the V-pets, not all over the place like the card games)

Cochran, one of the last of these Beemon, is a mercenary in the Ophan Empire, the most powerful state on Yottabytes to still tolerate his kind. Despite having been stuck at the rookie stage as long as anyone can remember, his professionalism, dedication and skill landed him on job far more important than a mere level 3 would suggest: to investigate the catastrophe that occurred on the allied island nation of RAM and locate the fugitive Isha Cube, as interrogations of his captured associates revealed he took up refuge there before disaster struck. Cube is a level 5 (Ultimate), so if he survived intact Cochran will have to rely on his higher leveled teammates. That was the plan anyway, Cochran will ultimately have get over his deep seated fear of becoming a Metamorphmon and evolve to higher levels, for the sake of RAM's remains, for the empire that accepted him, for Yottabytes in its entirety, for more than he even knows...

The first arc opponents would be replications of monsters created by human meddling (Gizumon, Neo's genome project), meddling with humans (corruptions of the legendary warriors), Arkadimon (a rare and dangerous monster needed to duplicate the genome project and despite what Bandai says, fresh was never seen on panel, none at the super mega level), the legendary super mega dragon (which UlforceVeedramon supposedly exists to fight, he's the catastrophe but also nearly a mindless beast Cube has learned to take advantage of), Isha Cube and Parallelmon, since Cube and associates are just scientists and surgeons, but their activities would have drawn the attention of something that could provide one last good fight. It would touch on habitats in the Digital world besides Yottabytes, Earth and the "multiverse" but for the first arc, humans would not be central. Important only in how they relate to Digimon.

Is it a virus? This design feels like what Chaosmon (or UltimateChaosmon who I was thinking of) should look like. Confusing as hell.

I was just taken aback because the art style looks completely different from almost every other Digimon.

It really is, but it is a nice change of pace from the really human design they have been doing.

It's not even that it's nonhumanoid - there are much less bold colors and shading on this guy.

Yeah, the colors are not only bold, but they are too bright for my taste. I hope they mute it a bit.

I wonder what it is base on or did the artist just went with his gut?

I really should know. I have not seen anything particularly like this but elements of its design are giving me de ja vu. I should know what it is based on and will probably slap myself once it is revealed.

I have no idea what it is supposed to be, but I like it already. My guess is it not exactly a Digimon, but some other kind of digital abomination like the D-Reaper. It has the looks to be one.

Wikimon labels any digital being a Digimon, even Ygddrassil, whether or not they're literally a Digimon. But it makes sense, being that it means "Digital Monsters" and all.

Seeing as I just recently got a Vita, I'm really hoping Cyber Sleuth gets localized...I'm not a big fan of the Digimon World 1 style, so I'm more interested in Cyber Sleuth than Redigitize.

And that brings me to another point. Any human kids in my take would have reasons to be wearing goggles again, if they were wearing them. After Taichi, the most we ever got is because Taichi did it, who himself only did it because of Taichi.

Its funny something else didn't catch on, like Taichi's cape, Taichi's sense of humor, Taichi's analytical nature, Taichi's whacky experiments, Taichi's notebook...of all his character traits other than generic heroism, why is the one so specific to his individual development the one everyone takes? Okay, I guess they take reptilian/draconic partner too but at least that trend started before him.

Takato used his goggles to protect his eyes from the light from the digital fields.

Takato found a use for them, he wasn't wearing them because he expected to find Digital fields. Having a reason to keep wearing goggles is better than nothing, Tamers gets that much credit, but it still falls short.

Granted, we don't know why Taichi has his cape. But the cape didn't become something every lead and wannabe lead picked up either.
