How did we go so long without this book on the wiki?: Tietam Brown

This book is a personal favorite of mine, and shame on me for not thinking to look it up before, only to find out that it doesn't actually have a page yet.

So, for anyone who has read this book, please, please, PLEASE contribute.

Associated tropes:

• Teens Are Monsters: So, shall we discuss Clem Baskin first, or the two kids from the orphanage who tried to rape Andy, and inadvertently got him thrown in jail after he killed one in self-defense?
• Adults Are Useless: Most of the time, and usually accompanied with levels of cruelty to rival even the teen examples.
  • Subverted with the psychologist at the end. Although in the end, proving to be no better then anyone else in this very cynical outlook of a book, the guy does do Andy some genuine good, which is more than can be said for most.
• Drill Sergeant Nasty: Coach Hanrahan.
• No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Andy, whenever the Rage takes over.
• Berserk Button: Andy has a few. They get whole chapters devoted to how badly they fuck things up for him.
• Most Common Superpower: A really interesting use of this trope. when Andy was a kid, he'd huddle in his Aunt's giant breasts for comfort. From that point on, breasts seemed to have that significance for him..
• Eye Scream: During a match that was rigged against him, Andy's dad knee'd a man in the face so hard that it was completely destroyed and his eye was hanging out... He then squished the eye.
• Boom, Headshot!: His stepmom's suicide.
• Complete Monster: Uhm, yeah, YMMV? Not really.
• Bishonen: Subverted. Andy has the body type, but he's missing an ear.
• Death by Despair: It's implied this is what happened to Mr. Baskin. And Andy's mom.
• Hell Is That Noise: Quarters dropping... Whenever quarters drop, it means Andy is going to hurt someone.
• The Woobie: Andy. And to an even greater extent, Andy's dad.
• Cluster F-Bomb: Go ahead and try count the number of times the word "fuck" appears in the book. You might want to keep a tally.
• Precision F-Strike: Lampshaded by Andy's dad. It's actually one of the funniest parts of the book.
• Mood Whiplash: Zig-Zagged.
• Despair Event Horizon: Andy's dad's signature wrestling move. It causes so much pain that it saps your will to live. And doesn't even leave a mark.

You're better off starting these in the Media threads. Also, I think it's Drill Sergeant Nasty. But some elaboration on that entry would be nice. You also seem to have some YMMV tropes mixed in there.

The Woobie and Complete Monster are both subjective. Also, Humans Are Bastards doesn't mean what you think it means.

Complete Monster. I think The Woobie is as well. Just click on them and they'll have the banner at the top. You'll need curly brackets around Bishonen to make it link.

You need to rewrite Hell Is That Noise as it only makes sense (I assume) if you've read the book.

You seem to be misusing Most Common Superpower which is pretty much for the Superhero genre, other boob tropes are on Keep A Breast Of This Index if it's been moved somewhere else. Further elaboration on Humans Are Bastards would be nice, since it's not "people are dicks", it's "humans are dicks compared to other species". Death by Despair: not really, if it's not really the trope, it's not an example. Body Horror is just wrong, it's not about just missing bits (unless it's seriously changed since I read it).
