A supernatural fanfic about a woman who comes under attack by the shapeshifter father of her baby (she doesn't know). Haven't really decided on what I want to do with it.

Well, it's not a concept for a fanfic, but more like a running gag for my crossover fanfiction, so it's a fanfic idea anyway: basically, every time someone says "my god", the scene cuts to "United States, Year 2000 A.C.", with Jim Ross screaming "BAH GAWD! BAH GAWD! STONE COLD, STONE COLD!", with the text saying Austin just rockbottomed a random fictional character.

The inside joke is that how the fanfic is about alternate universes, that's a universe where Austin uses The Rock Bottom and defends the Earth against invaders from another universes.

Good, I was wondering why Stone Cold Steve Austin was using a Rock bottom

I thought we have a case of Gretzky Has the Ball going on, but your explanation is actually much better....and funnier too.

I made a fic a while back about the logistical deficiencies in the Colossus from Legend of Korra, basically laughing at how over engineered and impractical it was. There weren't a ton of views for it.

https://m.fanfiction.net/s/11289491/1/Your-Doomsday-Weapon-Doesn-t-Come-with-Instructions

Still, I want to make a spiritual sequel to it, especially with the new Voltron coming out, to have a fic about how impractical Vehicle Voltron was from bewildered engineers. I don't see it doing well again, but I feel like it'd be funny.

A version of Spirited Away, with Timmy in the role of Chihiro.

Also, it's set in the Fairy (not Spirit) World, and Timmy's 'fairy' name is Mike (which was gonna be his name in the actual show, but Butch Hartman changed it because he'd had a falling out with his brother Mike).

A He Man fic (any incarnation) that shows just what it took for Randor, a king, to fall in love with, marry, and have children with what was basically for him a being from another planet. I could see it being funny and poignant in turns, if done right.

Ooooh, I have a lot of those:

  • Any revisioned take on characters in the Marvel and DC Universe. I have always been interested in creating my own alternate Marvel/DC universe with different takes on the characters and different looks (I also drew out some redesigns for characters). For DC, I wanted to do a retelling of the Justice League in a way that basically updates the classic Silver Age run. Marvel will pretty much have three story arcs that highlights the three core teams: Fantastic Four, X-Men and Avengers in that order. Though I think not a lot of people will enjoy it seeing how reboot take on these heroes are nothing new or original.
  • A Grey-and-Gray Morality on G.I. Joe. The idea: make a new take on the series but subvert the Good vs. Evil theme by having COBRA be a group of Well-Intentioned Extremist whose goals of New World Order that brings an end to all conflicts and the Joes, while still wanting to protect the world from dangerous terrorist, isn't any better than Cobra in pulling extremist actions to end terrorism and are pulling off stunts that are turning the country they protect into a police state. Why I don't think people will like it: even though I try to get rid of the line, it basically boils down to COBRA becoming freedom fighters and the Joes becoming Big Brother.
  • An Exile inspired crossover which involves a lot of Crazy Awesome characters. Basically a group of these Watcher/Moniter like beings are rounding up anamolies (chaotic characters) of different universe and keep them in check so that their medium awareness does not break their world. Unfortunately, three of their prisoners broke out of their prison with the help of a fourth man who comes from a newly born universe and now they must chase them. This is the story of said characters misadventures. I wanted to use Deadpool, Pinkie Pie and Joseph Joestar as the three escaped prisioners and the fourth guy who helped them is my Author Avatar Big K. The whole thing is really meant to be a parody of fan fictions in general, as well as deconstruct the whole nature of crossovers. Because really, in spite of how much people love to see Deadpool and Pinkie Pie as friends, lets not forget that Deadpool is a violent psychopatch who has no problem with killing people and Pinkie is an ultra happy mare child who doesn't want to hurt others; chances are their friendship is going to be strained later on in the story. Don't think people will like it on the way I write Big K (which doesn't help as I intended him as a huge Decon-Recon on wish fulfillment characters in the video game I intend to use him in).

The premise for my idea is that all of Nintendo's sci-fi or space-based characters exist in the same universe. Rosalina, some sort of space goddess, senses a disturbance across the Smash Galaxy and reaches out to Mario to save the day. However, she gets no response and realizes that Mario has somehow gone missing. Now without the usual hero to save the galaxy for her, she turns to Fox Mc Cloud, Samus Aran, Captain Falcon, Kirby and Ness to form a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits and get the job done. They are headquartered on Rosalina's Comet Observatory and use it to teleport around the galaxy. The villains are a Five Bad Band, with Master Hand as the Big Bad, Metal Mario (who is the actual Mario) as The Dragon, Ridley as The Brute, Andross as The Evil Genius and Mewtwo as The Dark Chick. They have a vast army of Space Pirates, Venomians and Fighting Polygons that they're using to enforce Master Hand's plan to bring an end to the chaos of free will.

An idea that won't leave my head, possibly because I just happen to be a bit obsessed with both of these things at the same time: Boku no Hero Academia as told by the narrator of The Stanley Parable.

This is the story of a boy named Midoriya Izuku. Izuku lived in a world where all people were not born equal. Or, at least, many were not, about 80% to be exact. Members of this majority were set apart by the fact that they possessed innate special abilities, referred to as 'quirks', ranging from heteromorphic bodies and minor telekinesis, to breathing fire and super strength, all the way up to the typically unfair Power that Lets You Gain More Powers.

Despite that fact, for most people their lives did not differ all that much from those who lived before the era of quirks. Rather than superpowers, one could say they had middlingpowers at best. Generally speaking, they could make life somewhat more convenient in certain specific ways. Or they were just dangerous enough to harm someone by accident, while still being only a minor threat in a real fight. As such, even using one's quirk in public outside of controlled circumstances was deemed illegal, except for certain very special individuals.

Heroes. These were the true quirk users, the most powerful, the ones who stood out from the background of the world. And what did heroes do? They fought villains, of course. (They weren't called criminals any more because of reasons) Such fights occurred often enough that "A tree man and a giant lady in skintight latex were fighting a dreadlocked rhinoceros" worked as an excuse for just about anything. Their lives were filled with violence, and they were required to stay in character at all times to promote the cults of personality that made them larger than life and, theoretically, deterred crime. So naturally, everyone wanted to be one. Including Izuku. He wanted it more than anything.

Unfortunately for Izuku, he fell into the 20% of the population that was born quirkless. Meaning, he had no special powers whatsoever. No, he was merely a member of the most intelligent species in the history of the planet, living in a prosperous country in an era when luxuries that made the kings of old look like paupers were commonly available to all and sundry. So of course Izuku was not happy.

His lack of happiness was hardly unjustified, however. Quirklessness was not at all rare. Even the elite of society counted many quirkless among their numbers. And yet when people learned of Izuku's status, they treated him like he had been born without arms, or worse, like he had a 'Kick Me' sign permanently attached to his back. Such as his former friend, Bakugou Katsuki, who had just earlier that day had thrown one of Izuku's hero data notebooks out a window, and then encouraged him to jump to his death. Well done, Katsuki. Everyone thinks you're very heroic.

The thing was, Izuku wasn't entirely sure he was quirkless. Oh, as a young child his parents had taken him to specialists who assured them that they could not detect any signs of a quirk developing in his body, and as far as everyone else was concerned, that was that. And yet, as he grew up Izuku found himself hearing a voice in his head. At first it would only give him simple messages on occasion, but now the voice's soothing tone was his constant companion. Sometimes it would tell him things he was sure he had no way of knowing, and yet they always turned out to be true, which is what made him suspect that it might be a quirk that the tests simply couldn't detect. Any time he tried to tell someone about the voice, they wrote it off as his imaginary friend, but Izuku knew better. The voice was the Narrator of his life.

Now, the Narrator was always talkative, always explaining Izuku's actions and thoughts, to the point that Izuku wasn't sure where he ended and the Narrator began, if there even was such a distinction. But today it was even more so, and Izuku could not figure out why. Nothing particularly stood out about that day compared to all the others in the repetitive march of an introverted middle schooler's life. Neither the battle between the heroes and the villain, nor Katsuki's bullying were sadly all that uncommon. Furthermore, for the last several minutes it had been blathering on about the world at large and Izuku's own background, things that Izuku already knew perfectly well. It was as if the Narrator was explaining them to some other audience, though Izuku was more than 99% certain that only he could hear its words.

And then there was the Line. Izuku noticed it immediately upon getting off his train several blocks from home. It was big and yellow, and it had the words The Izuku Parable Adventure Line written on the ground where it started. Now this was far too strange. Nobody reacted to its presence, though they could not possibly have missed it. Izuku was not sure he was okay with having visual hallucinations on top of auditory ones, but the Narrator had never steered him wrong yet, and since nearly losing one of his precious notebooks that day had placed his self esteem particularly low, he decided he didn't have much of anything to lose by following the Line wherever it would lead. It wasn't turning that far off his usual route home anyway.

Izuku idly reached for the hand weights sitting on the coffee table as he watched the news. According to the American Dream Plan devised by All Might himself, this was meant to be a resting period, but Izuku didn't care. For years he had clung to his dream of becoming a hero so strongly, even in the face of terrible opposition. Now that someone had finally told him it would be possible, he was dedicated just as strongly to proving himself worthy of that recognition. Look at him go! Clearing that trash off the beach, pumping that iron, even working his hand strength in class. Always giving 110%.

But what does that phrase even mean? Is not 100% by definition everything there is to give? That depends on what you are measuring. Certainly, a muscle cannot exert more than 100% of its maximum force. However, when using it over time, it is entirely possible to go well over 100% of the amount of work that muscle can put out without breaking down. And considering that this training was in preparation to receive a power that had the potential to make his body literally fly apart from its own strength, could he afford not to overwork himself? That sort of self destructive immoderation was sure to serve him well as the successor to the Symbol of Peace.

On second thought, Izuku would follow All Might's training regimen to the letter.

This is the story of Monoma Neito. Neito was fat and ugly and really, really stupid. He probably only got into UA because of a family connection; that's how stupid he was. That, or with drug money. Also, Neito was addicted to drugs and hookers.

In many ways, Neito embodied the worst excesses of the modern era. He possessed a remarkable quirk, Copy, which allowed him to copy the quirks of others with a touch, as the name might have suggested. He could only use one at a time, and could only retain them for five minutes, but these were hardly restrictions. Five minutes might as well have been an eternity in a fight, and people never had more than one quirk anyway. As long as Neito was smarter about using quirks than their original owners, he would always win. And so, he arrogantly concluded that he needn't put all that much effort into heroism as he sought to become a public defender mainly for the considerable paycheck they were granted. He could just rely on his quirk for everything.

So it came as quite a surprise when he managed to finally touch his opponent, one Midoriya Izuku, and discovered that in addition to his super strength, he also had something else. A voice, which preferred to be addressed as the Narrator, thank you very much, started speaking in his head, making him freeze, which he would realize was rather fortuitous in a moment, once he discovered what the timer dominating his vision in big, red numbers was for.

You see, Neito, you need to understand that your feckless attitude towards your own development is not as free of consequences as you believe. I'm afraid your quirk isn't nearly as safe as you think it is. For example, and I believe you'll find this pertinent: Neito suddenly realized that Midoriya's super strength quirk was rather lacking in the Required Secondary Powers department. Even now he could feel it simultaneously pressing and pulling on every part of his body. Only his stillness kept it from crushing every bone and organ in his body, but he could feel it seeking a way to flow through him. It was only a matter of time until it could be held back no longer, and then it would certainly kill him. How much time, then? Hmm... Let's say, um... two minutes.

Ah, now this has got you going, hasn't it, Neito? The despair really hit you quickly. Why, if it had been five minutes, you could have just waited it out. You would surely have lost the fight in that time, but at least you'd still be alive, yes? All those invitations to join your comrades at the gymnasium don't seem so superfluous now, do they? Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20, but there's little point in regrets now.

You have mere moments until the power is unleashed, but what precious moments each one of them is! More time to talk about you, your place in the world, what this story is about, and who it belongs to. I barely know where to start!

Oh, was that an attempt to call for help? Goodness, I wonder if anyone was able to recognize that squawk for what it was before your vocal chords ripped themselves apart. Or if they did, how urgent would they think helping you is? I'll be perfectly frank here, you haven't been the friendliest of people. And they way you project your own superiority complex onto others, well, anyone would find it rather irritating. I wouldn't see them bending over backwards for you, even if there is a way to fix your mess.

I only tell you this because somebody has to. Didn't you ever wonder why you ended up in class 1-B, even with your high score in the entrance exams? Oh, don't bother answering that, I know were positively obsessive about it. It was that attitude of yours. That complete dismissiveness towards your fellows. It went beyond being competitive. You were contemptuous of their struggles. You'll know what that feels like now, I think.

I have to say, though, seeing you get your comeuppance this way is rather amusing. Even at his worst, Izuku's emotions never felt this sharp. Such rage at the unfairness of it all, such tension through every fiber of your being... It's quite rich. I almost hate to see it go! My goodness, only thirty four seconds left! But I'm enjoying this so much. You know what? To hell with it. I'm going to put some extra time on the clock. Why not? These are precious additional seconds, Neito. Time doesn't grow on trees!

Oh, but now I'm disappointed. I was hoping for you to accept my gracious stay of execution and think to yourself, 'Why with a generous application of willpower, I may be able to stretch that time limit and save myself after all.' I promise you, every single member of class 1-A who you despise so much would have thought so. Of course, they'd be wrong, but that's the difference between them and you.

I mean, look at you. Mentally flailing about, tears and snot silently streaming down your face. You haven't even tried to spontaneously develop the ability to release the quirks you've copied. Oh, surely it would be impossible in such a short amount of time. It's something you should have started training for years ago. But heroes are expected to make the impossible possible. You wanted to coast through life by being the master of other people's quirks, that's fine. But you are no hero, and I am no quirk.

Do you have any idea what your purpose in this life even is? Heh, hahahaha, haa... Neitooo. You're in for quite a disappointment. You were meant to be no more than a shadow of the real main character, and not in a cool way. You are the kind of wretched pretender who only exists to make the real heroes look better in comparison. Hardly a necessary element. And here's a spoiler for you: that timer isn't a catalyst to raise the tension. It's just seconds ticking away to your death. The only reason you're even alive at this point is because it amuses me to watch you while you're helpless, to see you made humble. This is not a formative experience. It's a tragedy.

Thirty seconds left, Neito. Thirty seconds until a big crunch, a lot of pain, and then nothing. No riches, no glory, just you being torn to pieces. After it happens, will you cling desperately to those last few seconds of consciousness, or let them slip away peacefully? What would a hero do? Think about it, and make that last choice count. Or don't. It's all the same to me. All a part of the joke. And believe me, I've been laughing at every second of your wasted life from the moment you awoke until the moment when I say: rest in pieces, you glorious twer-

I got a dumb one, that I kind of like: Animorphs X Pokemon

Basically, it's the plot of Animorphs set in the world of Pokemon, with all the animals replaced with their Pokemon counterpart, various Humans from Pokemon replacing some minor characters, and all the aliens being undiscovered species of sapient Pokemon (like Humans in Pokemon) from space.

Cross posted from General crossover thread:

Weird idea for a Skies Of Arcadia / Arc Rise Fantasia crossover that mixes Fina's quest for Moon Crystals with Ryfia's initial search for the Child of Esea, with the twist that their people were once at war with each other (so possible having the silvites replace the other side in Arc rise).

There might be some other games that in there are well (at the least, I don't want to use L'arc or Vyse as a male Love Interest), and I'm going with an OT3 pairing Skies style as well.

....Might have some random yuri as well. I figure what the hell you know.cool

Edit: And now I'm imagining a Rogress vs Gigas fight (which ones I haven't decided yet. I'd need to watch some videos of Arc Rise Fantasia to get a feel for how said Rogress compare to the Gigas first).

I've gone and expanded that Vehicle Voltron idea into something less comedy one shot and now something that's meant to bring to mind all those 80's OVA's. You know, the type that lasted four episodes, has REALLY heavy shading and better animation quality than the norm while hoping to inspire interest in a show, so they would always leave some plot threads open?

Now imagine that format in a three to four chapter story where the idea is to use characters from Vehicle Voltron and Voltron Force, reimagine them in such a way that OC's aren't necessary, and create a throwback in tone more akin to Dangaioh than Avatar: The Last Airbender, while making characters that came off as annoying in prior series more to my liking.

The plot is simple enough, after the Blue Lion zips off into space, Galaxy Garrison realizes they probably have very little time before aliens come knocking and the Garrison is woefully unprepared to even go into deep space, much less fight off an alien invasion. Luckily, having studied the old transmissions of Voltron from the lion, Professor Wade creates a vehicular counterpart to defend the Earth. All he needs are three pilots who can handle the weapon, right as the Galra fleet, led by Viceroy Throck and his science officer Maahox, make their presence known on Earth, demanding their total surrender.

Too bad the only three pilots that fit the bill are a brash cadet with disciplinary issues named Daniel, his maybe-girlfriend and rebel against authority Larmina, and a guy named Vince who happens to hold the trio together.

All this for a fandom whose primary obsession is which pilot to hook up with Keith, Space Dad or the guy who flirts with every woman in sight.

I really pick the most incompatible ideas for fan bases sometimes. I should be writing comedy for a fan base that focuses on the group relationships.

Even more lousy crossover ideas!

A Bones fic in which a crashed plane is discovered in the Arctic with bodies in it. The Jeffersonian team discovers that the plane, carrying a Tibetian boy lama attending a global conference, vanished on a chartered flight from Seattle to Moscow fifteen years previous. It just so happens that the latest iteration of the global conference is taking place in DC, so Booth interviews the key players back then: the Chinese party hardliner and his children (a son who's following in his footsteps, but making reforms, and a daughter, a cold blooded businesswoman), two Alaskan native siblings who befriended the lama, and a blind daughter of Korean industrialists.

It would be called, of course, 'The Boy in the Iceberg'.

A Criminal Minds fic taking place in season 1 or 2 that basically takes The Princess Bride and transplants as much of it as possible into the show's universe (Gideon, of course, is hunting a six fingered man who's suspected of a brutal murder in his hometown, etc.). It would be played like a completely straight and serious CM episode otherwise.
