Funny how we predicted it was the Star Saber from the moment we got the episode description.
I like how they are making a good demonstration on Smokescreen without having him completely overwhelm the other characters. He got his bonding moment with Bulkhead last episode and even in "New Recruit" he had a great idea but it's not like he single-handedly saved the rest of the team and recover the Red Energon as proof of his worth. And while it does seem like he is the one for intel on the Iacon artifacts, the average bot seems to already know enough about them to where it isn't that big of an advantage.
So Smokescreen just got his ass kicked by some Vehicons? As in the "generic disposable redshirt cannon fodder mook" Vehicons? After he shot them all?
This place is careless.
I'm pretty sure he didn't shoot them all. There wasn't time. I'm assuming he was trying to get in and out as fast as possible while he had the element of surprise.
Anyway, this is Smokescreen's first major screw-up since he arrived(well, there was the shooting the energon thing in his debut but that wasn't as bad as this, and that one actually worked in his favour).
He's definitely not overshadowing anyone else, but he's proving to be capable if inexperienced.

One Strip! One Strip!Vehicons have proven that they can be dangerous if you let your guard down before.
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, Godfellas1. Lol the new guy just revealed himself to some random human after breaking the law. Raf will have to clean up a picture of him being taken. Lol Smokescreen
2. Nice, they mentioned Fowler relocating Raf's family since the Decpticons found out where they lived in the last episode.
3. Wow, Megatron's reaction shows just how powerful this new relic is. "Power of this kind must never be allowed to fall into the hands of Optimus Prime". The Star saber is stuck in a rock and Megs can't pull it out... then he tries to blast the rock but they mention the sword is emitting a barrier that protects the rock and only King Arthur a Prime can pull it out.
4. Lol, Jack went into combat with Smokesceen (they've been bonding all episode by doing pranks and so on). After getting out of the portal Jack says "I... just pulled a Miko" and facepalms. Hilarious.
5. Smokescreen is really eager to please Optimus so he rushes in despite Megs and a bunch of Decepticons being around the Star Saber. Lol this guy. Megs got him after he beat up some Fodder Vehicons.
6. After some cool action Optimus pulled out the Star Saber, which then went into action by slicing cleanly through a hill-sized rock. Megs is horrified at seeing it. After that Optimus used razor wind to severely damaged the Nemesis. Megs then says "We Decpticons are facing our darkest hour" as they fly away.
7. Now they're chewing out Smokescreen's childishness, and the show is treating it seriously.
8. episode ends with Alpha Trion sending Prime a message through the Star Saber
This ep was way better than last week's.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Rule of Transformers, enough pewpew can take out anything.
So when's Jack going to wield that sword?
Live your life.Wow, the Star Saber was awesome in the hands of Optimus Prime.
With a '0', not an 'O'When Unicron freezes over. Who do you think he is, Kicker?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatBut in this series most of Unicron freezes over every half a year.
Not just that, in this series there are always parts of Unicron that are frozen - mostly along the poles and the frigid northern areas - Canada, Alaska, Scandinavia, Russia...

Optimus slicing the mountain in half was undoubtedly one of the most badass moments of the entire show. I know some people were complaining about the repetitive nature of the relic hunt but you knew they would eventually find some crazy stuff like that and not just the little trinkets like the polarity gauntlet or the phase shifter. The following episode looks to be quite a major conflict.
Also a new episode is up, called "Patch." This looks to be a new development as well, Starscream seeking to reach a truce with Megatron and rejoin the 'Cons. It's obviously a part of some greater plan, but hopefully he has more to offer than Silas did like his new abilities with Red Energon.
Okay, watched this and last week's episodes now and I must say I'm quite satisfied.
The Human Factor was quite dark, you have to admit. First, we are shown Silas/Cylas' proving to be the Complete Monster we expected him to be, although uncharacteristically lacking his usual Pragmatic Villainy. Guess it comes with turning into a cyborg.
Yet he was more of a Smug Snake in the rest of the episode, quite ironically resembling Starscream's situation way back in Operation Bumblebee, Part 2. So first we see Starscream being pathetic when trying to team up with Silas, then Silas being pathetic when trying to team up with Megatron, what's next? Megatron being pathetic when trying to team up with the Fallen or Liege Maximo? Waaaait...
Project Damocles was quite powerful, though a Glass Cannon. One has to wonder why Megatron didn't mount some of the Nemesis' cannons on a Kill Sat to target Team Prime whenever they show up. Maybe he will borrow a page from MECH.
Anyway, finally there's something that Raf cannot hack into without help from outside. And yet, why did Fowler bother him, don't they have some sort of a special ops hacker team at the Pentagon? If not, they should hire the little guy. Also, Raf has repair bills to pay now, with all the streets he destroyed while directing Damocles away from his own house. Let's hope that only some asphalt got destroyed, though...
Bulkhead's interaction with Smokescreen was quite funny to watch. First the "newbie" gets the big guy to stand up by only triggering his jealousy and desire for battle. Then he arrives just at the right moment to provide an assist. Good classic moment of the new guy befriending the veteran.
Also I don't know if Knock Out is leaving the 'Cons soon, now that Megs has given him a new toy. This is also the first time when we see Mr. Watch-The-Paint so utterly terrifying. An improvement of his Butt-Monkey status, I'd say.
Now, Legacy was awesome. Finally the main plot is moving forward and something more important than digging up relics is happening. Also during the last few episodes we lost the feeling that there is an Autobot-Decepticon war going on - there was too much distraction. Now that Optimus and Megatron are both on the battlefield, things are getting serious.
Smokescreen's behaviour, albeit annoying, is necessary for not making him a Marty Stu. Seriously, the bot is just too good in battle, save for his Leeroy Jenkins habits - and uses his processor. Being an Optimus fanboy and all too childish outside of combat certainly helps balance his character. I admit that him and Jack doing funny stuff around Jasper is a welcome break from the grim athmosphere of the episode. Arcee is quite jealous, though. I think she'll spend most of the next episode pouting to Jack and maybe switching to partnership with Miko (the two of them have grown closer, and Miko's been a little frustrated with Bulkhead recently).
And now let's talk about the great MacGuffin. The Star Saber is essentially a Cybertronian Excalibur, and a mighty one at that. Megatron's grimaces were quite funny to watch - first his sad face when the relic was uncovered (hey, wouldn't a former miner know a more advanced excavating technique that just hauling boulders around?), and then his Oh Scrap look when Optimus got it. Also his quote about the Decepticons' darkest hour sounded so depressing.
The Star Saber itself looks a little too animesque to me, especially the shockwave it sent to the Nemesis. Optimus only lacked speedlines background while he turned to attack. Nevertheless, it was awesome.
Also Optimus pulls a "the boss is pissed" moment with Smokescreen. Hopefully it'll be a lesson the youngster will remember. Oh, and he mentioned them being "titans" on Earth. What, did Cylas discuss the matter with him or something?
And the next episode looks promising: Megatron seems to be overcoming his "darkest hour". I see a Chekhov's gun firing in the trailer, and I sense it won't be the only one. Also, what is this weapon of Megatron's? Megatronus Prime's Black Hole Katana or what? Or did he forge it with the hammer of Solus Prime? The duelling scene between Optimus and Megs looks somewhat Star Wars-y to me, but I think the episode will be worth watching, just like this one.

Seriously, I think we've just seen the most epic look of abject terror on Megatron's face in the entire Transformers franchise. If Cybertronians could piss and shit, Soundwave would've made several mad dashes to place a bucket in between Meggy's legs at different points in the episode.

It could be the Cyber Caliber or Chaos Edge.
I'm much more interested in how Megatron apparently manages to get the Forge of Solus Prime working for him. If he could manage that, he'd have a tool far more powerful and dangerous than any sword.
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, GodfellasSeem like Jack got things backwards. He was supposed to be influencing Smokescreen, but Smokescreen ended up influencing him.
I was wondering what would happen with the Autobots having such a powerful weapon. But now Megatron will get his own to counter. So that solves the problem of the bots getting too strong.
And it looks like Bulhead is really back in shape, so I'm guessing they'll have five field agents again for the first time in a while. 6 if you count Wheeljack.
One Strip! One Strip!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C25V_6hw31M 0:02 Is that Kaon?
Also, some guy's theory that I read in the comments seems plausible:
''For all of those people that say the Megatron is now a "Prime," he obviously is not. All he did was used his space bridge to go back to Cybertron and find a dead Prime's grave. Then Megatron cut off the dead Prime's arm off and his arm too. Knockout preforms sergery and Megatron and now has an arm of a Prime.
Now Megatron can hold the weapons of the Primes such as the Forge of Solus Prime(the hammer). And Megatron made a Dark Energon sword to even things out.''
This Red Right Hand (most likely Sentinel/Zeta Prime's)of Megatron's really makes me think at least some of the above is true. And Optimus' appalled reaction.

I suppose he might be desperate enough to try that considering how terrified he is of the Star Saber.
This is a guy who destroyed his own planet. There's really no line he won't cross.
One Strip! One Strip!
Isn't Smokescreen basically a teenager in Autobot years? It's only natural he and Jack would get into trouble.

He does seem to be more of a kid than even Bumblebee, which is saying something.
One Strip! One Strip! For Jack pulling a Miko, didn't he use sound judgement in staying pretty far away from the action, or at least not getting into the thick of the battle. Still a irresponsible move in going, but he didn't try to cause any problems for Smokescreen.
With a '0', not an 'O'
Plus rather than jumping in at random, it was Smokescreen that convinced him to come along.
So it's not really a Miko. It's still less boneheaded then anything she's done.
Also, I gotta say, Bumblebee's reaction when that dude was taking their pictures was pretty good.
You could hear him going Ah scrap! when he saw that dude had his phone.
One Strip! One Strip! And of course, calling Ratchet about the Star Saber, prompting him to go get the rest of Team Prime.
With a '0', not an 'O'
Yeah, Shockwave did tell Cliffjumper to throw the Blurr cube into the incinerator, but Cliff's apparently seen holding it in "The Stunti-Con Job," so he must've been pulled out at some point. Also, the cube's animation model shows the Spark intact, so there ya go...
