Word Of God / All For Luz

Go To

There's been several things that the author of All For Luz has confirmed over the course of the story, either by reviews or messaging here.

Luz Noceda/ Toshiko Shigaraki

  • The following playlist reflects Luz/ Toshiko's personality and mindset throughout the seasons, reflected on three different songs, all of which were made by the author's personal favourite Indie artist Daddyphatsnaps. The lyrics fit her character and the theme of the season. This is focused on the actual character of Luz/Toshiko. It’s, yet again, one of those things that you have to focus on the lyrics rather than just the song itself and apply it to the actual season as a whole strictly through the lens of Luz/Toshiko.
    • Season 1 – Eye For An Eye by Daddyphatsnaps, Johnald, McQwire, GoldenEMP.
    • Season 2 – All The Smoke by Daddyphatsnaps, OmarCameUp.
    • Season 3 Part 1 – Villain Arc by Daddyphatsnaps, Delta Deez, Fabvl.
    • Season 3 Part 2 - Heroes Falling by Daddyphatsnaps.
    • Season 4 - Shadows by Daddyphatsnaps, Frazer.
  • A meeting with Post-Death Camp Luz and Canon Luz or any of show's The Owl House characters would work out very poorly.
  • The Awakened All For One Quirk can drain, steal, and copy any kind of magic, including witches, demons, Palisman and titans.
    • Demons and Witches can receive Quirks. However, when specifically Witches gain a Quirk, their bile-sacs cease to function, and they lose the ability to use Magic.
    • Upon stealing that person's Magic, their Bile Sac will be drained in the process, and shrivel up, making them unable to use Magic ever again. Only Luz's version of All For One can do that after being "Awakened".
    • If Luz takes back a Quirk from a witch, that means they'll no longer have a Quirk (duh) and while it will take a long time, 3 years, for their bilsac will start up again. It takes a further decade for it to fully recover.
    • If you are a witch and are born with a Quirk, which isn't natural for Witches to do, so their parents at one point or another got a Quirk forced onto them by AFO, then if they lose their Quirk, they will NOT get magic, because they were born with a permanently defunct Bile Sac.
    • If she uses All For One on Darius and steals his Magic. She would get the Quirk "Goo Body" allowing her to transform her body into a purplish-black substance. Like the Swamp-Swamp Fruit from One Piece, but coloured like an Abomination, and the effect isn't passive. Since it was turned into a Quirk, Darius would get "Goo Body", not his magic if returned.
    • Luz could gain her Titan Witch Super Mode like in the finale via this method, albeit not as powerful.
      • Its unlikely Luz will get get a "Titan Witch" Quirk but will get a different Super Mode. This is due to her All For One power already evolved, and the author doesn't want to give her anything more broken than she's already gained.
  • Luz will reach the Boiling Isles after "Season 2", at around chapter 30-ish. By that time, she'll be more like her Season 3 self (more serious and less goofy) and probably will anger more easily due to being influenced by All For One and her PTSD.
    • Over time, the use of Luz's Quirk will change her hair and eye colour due to the strain it puts on her body. It also mentally effects her to becoming greedier and makes the addicted to taking powers.
      • Luz is not a Sadist. She has never been one to enjoy killing someone aside from the time she was possessed by the All For One Quirk.
    • Once Luz goes to The Demon Realm she won't be going back to The Human Realm again.
  • During "The Massacre of Fools", Luz's mindset is like a fusion between both Luz and AFO, kinda like the state that Tomura enters during the latter half of My Hero Academia.
  • Luz's Healing Factor is superior to Hunter's, due to the latter's being a replica.
  • Luz Noceda will eventually change her name to Toshiko Shigaraki.
  • The "Flamethrower" Quirk is not Dabi's Quirk before it became known as Blueflame pre-awakening.
  • If Izuku and All Might found out about Luz's connection to All For One, the chances are they'd want to investigate. All Might would NOT be out for blood immediately. Especially seeing that she's a child and not his former Arch-Enemy. Not unless their debut was some kind of mass destruction-causing attack.
  • Luz has achieved semi-immortality with her Super Regeneration, Pain Nullification, Shock Absorption and Longevity Quirks.
    • Luz would consider a Mind Control Quirk to be too evil for her to have.
    • She wouldn't bother stealing another Teleportation Quirk as she's already fast enough to look like doing this.
    • She also would never get back the Hyper Intellect Quirk because it goes against her nature of learning things on her own.
    • Luz might gain an Invisibility and Infrared Vision Quirks, as well Wind, Water and Mist based ones.
  • The Super-Strength Quirk makes her 10 times stronger, which superior to Ronny's Strength Enhancer, that's only twice as strong.
  • If the canon Hexside Squad and Harpy Eda were to fight Luz/Toshiko of All For Luz at the end of the 2nd Saga in a DEATH BATTLE! style brawl, the group could only win on a single condition, if Eda in her Harpy Form could (which is possible considering just how strong Eda in her Harpy Form was) and if Luz (Canon) had permanent access to her Titan Witch abilities, which makes her pretty even with current Toshiko in terms of raw power output, not get outlasted by Toshiko and perform a fatal blow on her. The rest of the Hexside Squad would be Canon Fodder and would get one-shot, save for Gus because of his illusions and the general confusion they could cause, with Harpy Eda lasting the longest.
    • Post-Second Saga Toshiko is physically superior to Harpy Eda and could Curb-Stomp Battle most of The Owl House cast.
    • Toshiko can die if both her heart and brain are simultaneously destroyed.
    • Her evolved Forcefield Projection could now destroy a small town if she wanted. Her Red, Blue, and Purple alone could potentially wipe out a small city. That's not even counting Multiplier and how that can jump to the City Level.
  • Luz won't steal many Quirks in the Boiling Isles Saga.
  • The name of the boy who got his Flamethrower Quirk stolen by Luz/Toshiko's name was Tommy.
  • Luz still has those scars she got from "The Massacre of Fools". The one over her eye and the one going across her chest won't heal for years, even after her body's been burned to a crisp. They're symbolic of the day Luz "died" and Toshiko was "born".
  • Of the League of Villains, the ones Luz/Toshiko would get along with the most are Twice and maybe Toga. She might be put off by Toga's whole blood thing, but aside from that, they'd be friends. Twice is some she just finds funny to be around.
    • As for the opposite side of things, it'd probably be most of the Vanguard Squad, excluding Mustard and Dabi. Touya would probably see more of himself in Luz/Toshiko, so he'd take sympathy with her.
    • Luz/Toshiko would enjoy playing video games with Spinner and share her interest in magic with Mr. Compress. But everyone else is kinda "eh".
    • Dr. Garaki would see Toshiko/Luz as the reincarnation of his master, and Toshiko/Luz would see him as an old man desperate for her attention, only complying with him because she sees it as no other option.
  • The Quirk Awakenings of Luz/Toshiko's previous quirks would be like:
    • Repair, much like other touch based Quirks in the MHA Universe, would be able to spread its healing effects to those around them.
    • Life Giver would be able to transmute more advanced objects into more complex organisms,
    • Sword would create more swords out of the user's body rather than just turn one limb into a sword.
    • Flame/Pyrokinesis would give the user full reign over the flames that they can turn their body into, effectively making essentially someone with the Mera-Mera-no-Mi from One Piece.
  • This version of Luz is not mentally well, even before the Death Camp.
  • This is a Protagonist Journey to Villain story.

All For One

  • All For One died by All Might's hands 5 years before the canon My Hero Academia story began.
    • All For One will get some lore to further explain how much of his character he's changed from canon.
  • Eda and King had a run-in with All For One before the story began on accident in the Mutant Realm, something the former regrets.
    • All For One meddled with stuff in the past, a lot has changed about the Boiling Isles' canon events because of his brief stay there. This includes Belos being able to communicate with other humans on Earth from his castle and send Witches there.
  • All For One will get his own character arc.
  • The events of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, didn't happen. This is because All For One killed O'clock not long after he left the school he went to, that being U.A., after Ujiko found out about his Quirk and what it did. All For One desired to have it, and so tracked him down, took Overclock and killed him.
    • Because he died before he had become Knuckleduster, Koichi was never able to become the Crawler with Knuckleduster's guidance. On top of that, because No. Six was a failed experiment, his actions in the universe never happened.
    • All For One created No. Six but realized that it'd amount to nothing after realizing that the All For One quirk copy was yet another dud. He still planted No. Six with Quirks to see how many he could hold (six, hence the codename) but rather than send him out to Naruhata as he had in canon, All For One simply killed him, took his Quirks back, then when he later found out about Hunter, gave Overclock to Hunter along with his other Quirks.

The Wittebanes

  • Julia Wittebane was never meant to be a romantic Love Interest for Luz nor survive the Death Camp. She always intended to be Stuffed In A Fridge.
  • Tyler Wittebane is based on Father Anderson from Hellsing and Enrico Pucci from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The fanatism toward God is from the Anderson inspiration, and the coldness is based on Pucci.
  • Tyler Wittebane tried to make his daughter, Julia, go through an Arranged Marriage but it didn't work out.
  • The Wittebanes will be Killed Off for Real and All For One will be the True Final Boss of the story.
  • Belos's Daybreak form is a reference to "Day of Unity".
  • Belos has gotten a Adaptational Badass in the story, and it has to do with what All For One did during his time there. All For One didn't immediately start rampaging in the Boiling Isles when he got there. For a brief amount of time, he saw eye-to-eye with Belos until he overheard what he planned to do to the residents.
  • Julia is gonna have some serious existential dread later on being a vestige.

In General

  • The author's opinion on The Owl House:
    • Season 1: Interesting but wished it was better.
    • Season 2: A massive step above the 1st season. Loved the characters and conflict but wished Willow and Gus had more screen-time.
    • Season 3: Peak fiction.
  • Lumity is the main pairing ship of the story.
    • Luz and Amity won't fight to the death.
    • Amity won't be getting a Quirk Awakening per se, but she will be on par with Luz/Toshiko in terms of power by the end of the Boiling Isles Saga.
    • Amity is only half as strong as Deku and she can control 10% of One for All at the beginning, before she starts breaking her body.
    • Amity can enter a Full-Cowling state of her own, along with something else that the author has planned that's unique to her due to her heritage as a Witch. It's part of the reason why "Unique" kids are viewed as "lesser" even though they aren't, and it will also lead to why Belos is terrified of those with Quirks.
  • For Hunter, it's because of his Grimwalker biology he can hold 4 Quirks. He does mask his Quirks as a special kind of magic only he as the Golden Guard can have. Although, those that do have Quirks know, but are threatened into silence by Emperor Belos.
    • Hunter would be a S Rank villain in the MHA universe.
    • Unlike the Human Realm, Quirks haven't naturally awakened in any inhabitants of the Boiling Isles or anywhere else in the Demon Realm.
    • The only people in the Demon Realm who know about superpowered humans in Luz's realm are Emperor Belos (duh), Hunter, Lilith Clawthorne, and Eda Clawthorne.
  • The Alpha Squadron flag is based on the FBI flag from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
  • Antagonistic Governor Rodger Maxwell is most definitely a Republican and based on Ron DeSantis.
    • Governor Maxwell shares a cell with a man named Bubba. If you know, you know.
    • He was killed Hunter's Finishing Move in "The Battle of Gravesfield".
  • Cody's Johnson's Quirk "Flame/Pyrokinesis" is based on Portgas D. Ace's Devil Fruit.
    • Cody died from brain damage not long after Luz took his Quirk. This makes him Luz's first true kill.
  • The entire Summer Camp Arc takes place over a week long period.
  • The following openings fit the whole tone of the series as a whole.
    • The “official” opening song for “Season 1” of All For Luz, is Kyouran Hey Kids, by THE ORAL CIGARETTES. And the “official” ending song is LIFE, by Rude-a.
    • The “official” opening song for “Season 2” is SPECIALZ, by King Gnu. The “official” ending song is In The Backroom, by syudou
    • The "official" opening song for the first part of "Season 3" is KuraKura, by Ado. The "official" ending song for the first part of "Season 3" is Anytime Anywhere by milet. For the second part of "Season 3" the "official" Opening song is from the edge by FictionJunction, and LiSA, and the Ending song is Where Our Blue Is by Tatsuya Kitani.
  • King is older here. He's not 8, he's 24, and Eda and Lilith are in their early 50s rather than in their mid-40s.
  • Raine fought in the war but didn't really play that much of a vital point in it.
  • The story is updated a new chapter on a monthly basis (Or at least it tries to), while occasionally uploading two chapters at a time.
  • Sophia Humbolt's "Limitless" Quirk is a reference to Gojo Satoru (Duh). The author is a Jujutsu Kaisen fan as of late now.
  • The Death Is Cheap trope is Averted in this story. Once a character is dead, they stay dead.
  • Millie and Lilith were close friends. They joined The Emperor's Coven around the same time, though Millie joined later than Lilith by a month. Lilith was actually the person who recommended her to The Emperor's Coven, and Belos was impressed by her abilities, so he gave her the clear.
    • Ever since then, they had each others back. When Millie needed help, Lilith was there and vice versa.
  • The East Coast was heavily damaged by Hunter's Finishing Move in Gravesfield. Think nukes minus radiation.
    • Millie Ravenclaw was killed by that move but Pastor Domenico and Masha survived the battle, due to being on the outskirts.
  • The codenames for the Wittebane assassins are the following:
    • Derrick was Mr. Arms - C Rank.
    • Millie was Babba Yagga - B Rank.
    • Jonah was Phospherous - A Rank.
    • Charlie was Transporter - B Rank.
    • Sophia was Honored One - A Rank.
  • If the author plans do any one-shots, it'll be after the main story is finished.
  • Amity is the current holder of a replica of One For All. Its significantly weaker than the original, but still insanely strong compared to most other Quirks.
    • Amity is going to try to Heal the Cutie with Luz.
    • Odalia in story is a better person but will probably not be Luz's ally.
    • Odalia wasn't pregnant with Amity until Alador was given a copy of Yoichi's Quirk (Transfer) and Odalia was given Stockpile, which she still has. Only when that happened did Odalia get pregnant with Amity, resulting in her getting a copy of One For All. Alador shunted Transfer onto someone else by transferring it to them. He didn't get it taken away by AFO.
    • There are no plans for Amity to name her attacks [Blank] Smash. They're going to be more in line with what Amity would call her attacks.
    • Alador's relationship with Amity is very strained at the beginning but he will get a redemption arc and will give his daughter an apology gift.
  • The author's younger sister does the artwork on the story. She doesn't have any social media accounts so they can't link them here.
  • Most of the Emperors Coven are Canon Fodder to All For One. Only Eda, Lilith and Belos had a chance by teaming up, as their strength combined is on par with All Might.
    • Lilith now wears an eyepatch and has a prosthetic arm.
    • Throughout the war, Dr. Garaki stayed in the Mutant Realm (only coming to Boiling Isles to work on the Nomu) along with a 7-year old Tomura. All For One brought Gigantomachia, The Volcano Crew, Chimera, and some prototype Nomu to fight for him. Kurogiri was still being made by the time the 10-year-war was happening.
  • A whole arc will be dedicated to a flashback regarding the Ten-Year War.
  • Yoichi, much like his brother, has transcended the need to worry about death. One For All was his Quirk, even if it is a duplicate. He can still very much communicate with any user of the Quirk.
  • Masha will not go to the Boiling Isles or play much of a role.
  • Natasha's Quirk is called Card-Drawer. The author has plans on making a One-Shot Fic focusing on the aftermath of The Battle Of Gravesfield, and Natasha is the POV character for it
  • The name of the boy in China who overthrew the Chinese dictatorship, is a reference to Sung-Jin Woo, the main character from Solo Leveling.
  • The Human Realm and The Demon Realm are 101 years behind The Mutant Realm in terms of timeline, but seeing as time dilation is a thing, what is a year for The Mutant Realm is a month to The Human Realm and half of a month for The Demon Realm. In other words, by the time we’re finished with The Boiling Isles Saga, we’ll be entering the Canon MHA timeline (or at the very least the timeframe in which canon happens).
  • Gigantomachia isn't in the Boiling Isles. He's back in The Mutant Realm. Also, Gigantomachia was given a size-shifting Quirk so he could fit through the portal door. That's how. He no longer has it because it was not needed anymore.
  • Camila will get her own character arc in the rewrite.
  • Ronny Armstrong is Hawaiian.
