Dame Tu Cosita is in Unlimited because...
  • It's not on the main tracklist of Just Dance 2019 anymore. Many people say it's because it's the demo song, but other Just Dance games didn't do this.
    • Maybe it could've been added to dodge various complainants, cause by the time the song was added in Unlimited it was still pretty popular.
"Bad Boy" in 2020 is a substitute for another, more inappropriate song.
  • The artists, Riton and Kah-lo, also did "Fake I.D.", which exploded in popularity on Tik Tok (similar to "Old Town Road"). The Just Dance team probably wanted to add it, but realized that there was no way they could easily censor it for an E10+-rated game, so they decided to use a different song by the same duo instead.
Snake codenames in 2018 songs
  • Three songs in Just Dance 2018 have codenames referring to snake species: The Way I Are (Dance with Somebody) = Cottonmouth, Fight Club = Sidewinder and Boom Boom = Copperhead. Some fans speculated that the codename would have been secret teasers for a song in Just Dance, possibly Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" but was scrapped either by copyrights or lack of time and resources.

     Non-Story Mode Characters/Coaches
The dancers from both "Take On Me" and "Feel this Moment" are twins.
  • How else would they look similar? Perhaps Word of Choreographers said this once, if it weren't for the fact that they've never read Fanon about the game before.
  • But of course, since the series uses the No Plot? No Problem! trope, all Fanon is canon, ending this WMG before it starts.

Rasputin cheated on The Bride
Certainly would explain why she's so pissed off. Not to mention, eagle eyed fans spotted a picture of Rasputin seemingly crushing on the coach from Oh No!...
  • Jossed. The Lore Master has confirmed that Rasputin didn't cheat on The Bride. The pictures of Rasputin being "attracted" to the coach of Oh No! are just two of the emotes that are obtainable in-game.

Just Dance Story Mode

     2023
Wanderlust is the son of Si'Ha Nova and The Traveler
  • Aside from obvious implications, Wanderlust shares many traits from both characters. From Si'Ha Nova, he inherits
    • A comic shows Wanderlust as a young child with The Traveler, with strong implications that he is truly their son.
      • As of the game's launch, it is all but outright confirmed with the intro scene of the Danceverses Prince Version of CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!.

Conversely, Jack Rose is the son of Night Swan
  • Throughout his routine, Night Swan appears in the background, looking at him ominously. It also doesn't help that one of the quotes say that he has a "mother", with fans connecting the dots that he could be her son.
    • Similar to Wanderlust it is all but outright confirmed with the intro and ending scenes of Locked Out of Heaven.

There will be a story mode in Just Dance 2023 Edition
  • The ending scene for CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! shows the surprising moment of a mysterious, vile sorceress kidnapping the backup coaches, forcing Sara and Wanderlust to flee. Since the destination of where they are fleeing is Physical's background, it wouldn't be far-fetched that a story will happen.
    • This is more or less confirmed by promotional posts in Twitter, with the sorceress revealing to be Night Swan, as well as mini-profiles of the promotional coaches.
      • Sadly, this is outright Jossed. There is no story mode in the final game, although there is a playlist (titled "Enter The Danceverses") dedicating to the story of that started with CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!.

Alternately, the promotional coaches will be featured in the story mode
  • Each coach are shown to be in the promotional content, and box art. This wouldn't be far-fetched that they would be important to the hypothetical story.
    • Confirmed, as their routines, from the start to end, are tied to one another, even when the hypothetical story mode is Jossed.

More songs, routines and coaches will be featured in the story mode
  • Fans are looking for signs of a possible lore for the game, with the common theory of a hypothetical story mode being featured in the game. Aside from Sara and Wanderlust, here are the songs, routines and coaches that might be featured in the story:
    • The Traveler and Si'Ha Nova, due to being tied to the newly established canon of Just Dance starting in Just Dance 2022. It also wouldn't hurt if they appear to help the heroes, or even having to meet Wanderlust.
    • Sweet but Psycho, which sets in a nasty breakup. Some fans theorized, however, that the villain at the end of CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! kidnaps her lover, the coach of Rasputin, which drives her crazy. This is also lend credentials due to the lyrics of choice in the song.
    • The coaches for Telephone and STAY. The former has a surprising cameo appearance of the sorcerer in the routine, and both coaches are considered to be cool and unique. Some fans even theorized that the coach and backup dancers for Telephone might be kidnapped by the sorcerer, due to her appearance being used as a sign of a bad omen.
    • Past coaches. Aside from being nice nostalgia pieces, it also gives them some significance to their character, ranging from helping the heroes to fighting against them as minions.
      • All theories regarding of future appearances have been Jossed, revealing that only CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!, Witch, Physical, Rather Be, Locked Out of Heaven, Majesty and If You Wanna Party are essential to the story.

The coach of drivers license would eventually transform into Night Swan at the end
  • It's a song about breakup, so the coach is probably going to turn evil after breakup and became the villain that we know. They are also performed by the same performer.
    • More or less Jossed, as it is shown that drivers license's coach is named "Dolores", although it wouldn't be theorized to be her "normal version".
      • Jossed, as the ending shows her driving off in her routine, making them explicitly different individuals instead of one.

Jack Rose is a traitor
  • He is mentioned to be prideful, a trait going against the other promotional coaches. It wouldn't be far-fetched that he will turn on against them.
    • Jossed, as he is shown to never be part of The Just Dancers at all, with his routine third to the last in placement. Even more, his own personality doesn't look like a traitorous type.
      • Ironically enough, it turns out to be Confirmed in Majesty... but against his own mother!

Sara is the strongest amongst the Just Dancers
  • Sara is the only one not susceptible to being corrupted, as opposed to Wanderlust who, despite being a deity and a sorcerer, turned into Night Swan's minion.
    • This probably has to do with Sara explicitly referred as a "human". This might tied to her not obeying the laws of the Danceverses.
      • It's possible that Sara being the strongest isn't just due to her being "human". If you look at the progression system, you can see that she represents 'Party'. This is the opposite of what Night Swan represents; her desire for perfection. From the lore revealed so far, Night Swan was corrupted by her own obsession with perfection after failing to be the best ballerina; the disappointment that led to her trying to create a perfect universe. Meanwhile, Sara is a shy yet cheerful person. She loves to dance to get past daily pressures, but in the story playlist trailer, she was shy about dancing in front of others. But when the Just Dancers encourage her to go loose, this gives her more confidence in going up against Night Swan without fearing disappointment, even if she loses. In the Majesty battle itself, Sara does a more fun and creative dance with a confident smile while Night Swan tries a dramatic flair that fails to be impressive when the pressure of being defeated gets to her. Thus, it is what Sara embodies that allows her to not only be one of the strongest dancers but rise against the more try-hard Night Swan who clearly outdid herself.
    • However, Brezzerina and Mihaly are not corrupted as well and they managed to break her minions free from the brainwashing. Though, this could be due to hiding with Sara before going out to save the day. This could go the same for Jack Rose who manages to rescue Wanderlust, possibily having some of his mother's powers.

Night Swan will appear in future routines
  • She didn't die or resign to be defeated, as she walks away to another portal. This could be a sign that she will appear in the future updates and routines, either for revenge against Sara and The Just Dancers.
  • Confirmed

     2024
The corrupted versions of Wanderlust, Brezziana, and Mihaly aren't real.
In reality, the three of them were turned into interchangeable Swan Soldiers like all the others. The panda paw signal sent by Mihaly to Jack isn't a glimpse of what's actually happening, but a more dolled-up, somewhat hopeful illusion depicting what Mihaly thinks could happen to them now that they've been defeated, retaining some of their individuality even under Night Swan's servitude and reassuring Jack he can still reach out to them and save them. As for "Tainted Love", the music is real but the visuals are all in Jack's head; it's what he's imagining to be happening, based off the illusion he's been shown and the loud music coming from his mother's ship, as he makes his way out of Swan Tower to the Eternyx dock, only for the action to snap back to reality at the end to show him missing the ship.

The Danceverses storyline will ultimately end with Wanderlust leaving the Danceverse to be with Sara on Earth.
Among the new avatars included in 2024 Edition, we have a new Wanderlust avatar showing the character in a new, powered-up look, complete with more muscular proportions and a cape/cloak similar to that of the Traveler. However, while Wanderlust looks happy in the illustration, the quote that comes along with it is noticeably less so:

"What if I choose not to be chosen? Don't I have a say?"

Given the subtle hints towards him and Sara being made into an Official Couple, as well as the foreboding aspect of 2024 Edition's story playlist, which ends with Night Swan winning, it's highly likely the story will conclude in 2025 Edition, and once Night Swan is vanquished once and for all, most likely by Wanderlust in his new Super Mode, he'll realize It Sucks to Be the Chosen One, stepping down from his duties and bidding his family, friends and the Danceverses a bittersweet farewell to go live a normal life with Sara on Earth.

Jack's father is the Traveler, therefore making Wanderlust his half-brother.
  • During Night Swan's takeover of the official Just Dance Twitter account via Dark Discoball, her caption for "Treasure"'s teaser states that she knows Jack's power and weakness. The map for "Treasure" shows Jack engaging in Self-Duplication via the mirrors around him, and within the main story, the only character we've seen who possesses the same ability is the Traveler; not even Wanderlust has been depicted as having this power.
    • The quote for the Kid of the Swan Legendary avatar also alludes to this, with Jack stating that Night Swan thinks "we aren't trying hard enough" to be perfect. Considering that in "Treasure" we see Jack create his clones by pulling the reflections out of the mirrors around him, it makes sense to think of "we" as referring to said clones; if the original Jack isn't "trying hard enough" to be perfect, then neither are his clones.
  • When a fan asked Night Swan if Jack was single, she responded that it doesn't concerm them because "he's the son of royalty". Although she's a powerful force in Eternyx and a master sorceress, Night Swan has never been officially referred to as a queen, neither has Jack been called a prince (at least, not like Wanderlust is).
    • The specific phrasing used seems to imply neither Night Swan nor Jack are of royal blood (otherwise he would've been straight-up called a prince), but that his other parent is royalty through marriage. Word of God has confirmed the Traveler is, in fact, not a deity, so it's possible to think of him as "marrying into royalty", so to speak.
  • A possible affair between the Traveler and Night Swan would explain why he distanced himself from Si'ha Nova and was so desperate to find her again, and why their duet map is set to "Save Your Tears", a song about reminiscing over a past relationship that ended unhappily, with lyrics like "take me back 'cause I wanna stay".
    • It also explains Jack's initial hostility towards Wanderlust at the start of "Majesty", due to the latter being the result of his father abandoning his mother to start a family with another woman, further steering Night Swan towards her Start of Darkness. Even the lyrics they dance to make sense with this scenario.
  • The Traveler, Wanderlust and Jack all seem to possess some kind of mirror manipulation power. With the former two, this makes itself apparent through Discoball, while Jack showcases this through the full-length mirrors that surround him in his solo maps. Both Discoball and Jack's mirrors appear to function in similar ways, acting more as screens rather than actual mirrors, and both have been confirmed to be susceptible to being hijacked by Night Swan's Dark Flow. Also notable is Jack of all characters singing the line "dancing like a discoball" in "If You Wanna Party", which is otherwise an odd creative choice considering Jack never even interacts with Discoball.
  • In general, Wanderlust and Jack appear to have been conceived by the creative team as foils to each other, with vastly opposite parental relationships and personalites, as well as contrasting designs and elements of Fashionable Asymmetry that mirror each other (Wanderlust's capelet vs. Jack's Fluffy Fashion Feathers). This was possibly done to establish them as "light and shadow" half-brothers who start out at odds but find common ground, in a subversion of Cain and Abel.
  • It also makes sense from a metatextual angle, given the artists the Traveler, Wanderlust, and Jack dance to in their respective original maps. Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars have both been cited as Spiritual Successors to Michael Jackson, and Justin specifically is considered the "legitimate" heir to Michael's artistic legacy; the vast majority of debut solo album Justified, including "Rock Your Body", the song the Traveler dances to in his original map, was originally written for Michael, and he eventually featured on a posthumous reworking of Michael's demo "Love Never Felt So Good" for the album Xscape.
    • Bruno, on the other hand, has been the subject of a popular, even if long since disproven, internet conspiracy theory that claims he's the bastard child mentioned in "Billie Jean". The song in question was the very song Michael sang for his iconic Motown anniversary special performance, which also saw the debut of his signature bedazzled glove, which could be cited as a precursor to the colored gloves worn by the Just Dance coaches. In Michael Jackson: The Experience, the choreography for "Billie Jean" includes an "infinity" hand whip movement that would also included in the choreo for the main series' take on "Rock Your Body", also performed by a coach with a sparkly glove.
      • Another song featured in Michael Jackson: The Experience which also features the "infinity" hand whip in its choreography is "Another Part of Me", from Captain Eo, which features Michael as a space traveler facing off against a witch queen and defeating her minions in a way similar to how the Swan Soldiers are defeated in Enter the Danceverses. Michael even wears a cloak like the Traveler's at one point!

Alternatively, if Wanderlust does have a sibling, it's a yet-to-be-introduced female coach whose map will be set to Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night".
The Traveler and Wanderlust are both coaches for Justin Timberlake songs, and Wanderlust's in particular was originally written for the soundtrack of a Hollywood movie based off a beloved doll brand. Not only does "Dance the Night" happen to fit those exact same criteria, it has also been said to sound like Si'ha Nova's song "Levitating", and its lyrics specifically talk about dancing and having fun in the face of adversity, mirroring the lyrics to "Canned Heat", the song chosen for Wanderlust's 2024 Edition solo map.

Clementine, the coach for "Can't Tame Her", is Wanderlust's younger sister.
For meta reasons: because the dancer for this map is Little Siha, the person Si'ha Nova was named after. For non-meta reasons: she seems to be able to manipulate the settings around her, suggesting she might have dimensional powers as well. As for why she's not involved in the story, she's very independent and prefers honing her dance skills on her own as opposed to wandering the Danceverses like her brother.
  • Jossed. Clementine has nothing to do with Wanderlust; it's been revealed she's a corporate worker from Cyberfunk who was trapped in the Virtualscape by her boss, the coach of "New World" from 2019.

Jack and Dahlia are exes.
The lyrics to "Flowers"' chorus are speculated to be a clapback to the Bruno Mars song "When I Was Your Man", present in the same album as both "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Treasure" and released as a single between the two. Also, "Don't Start Now", the other song Dahlia is known to dance to, is about moving on from a break-up and finding somebody new to dance with, also mirroring "When I Was Your Man", where the girl Bruno sings about has already moved on and he ends the song wishing her the best in her new relationship.

Mothigan will take over as the Big Bad after Night Swan is defeated.
