Also known as "Curtis Wildcat" or "phibbykaden". He's a run-of-the-mill troper (well, sort of), and he's constantly on the prowl for halfway-decent stuff to read, games to play, and cats to pet. Has come off as a jerk to those he's met on the IRC and message boards in the distant past, and now tries his hardest not to say or do anything that'll tick anyone off. Dislikes it when people get a little too "into" a discussion. Tends to root for the underdog...or undercat, as the case may be.

• Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Has become more and more unfocused as his life goes on. He blames fanfiction, video games, the Touhou Project and the Internet for... hey, Little Mac's in Super Smash Bros.? Cool!
• Badass Creed: "I cannot write dramatic scenes, dreary depressing stuff, nor anything close to a mystery. I can't write hot-blooded action scenes, my conscience quails in the face of intense violence, and the romantic sort of love escapes me. What I can do, however, is make people laugh; after all, I am here to make life just a little more surreal."
• Berserk Button: Plenty of them. He has a hard time expressing his anger safely, so he tends to become sick to his stomach when he dwells on these too much.
  • Mistreatment of animals, especially cats.
  • Leet-speak.
  • People who imply that his tastes are too conservative.
  • Profane language, as well as anything that would warrant an 'R' or 'Mature' rating on a product.
  • People who use profane language without caring if it offends people or not, as well as those that tell a person to do anatomically impossible actions.
  • Any and all violations of common sense that take place in real life.
  • Jerks and trolls in general.
  • Everything that falls under Fan Dumb and Hate Dumb in their entirety. And yes, the redundancy was intentional.
  • Fanfic writers who change the source material's canon for the sake of their stories, just because they don't like certain things about it. And by extension, most Fix Fics.
  • Those who don't bother doing any sort of research for their stories.
  • Thinking that suicide is a valid option.
  • People who cut in front of others at traffic intersections because they're too impatient to wait their turn.
• Big Eater: Has a tendency to cram down entire P'Zones in one sitting. His doctor is not happy.
• Catchphrase: "Ciao mein, everyone," "Don't worry about it". And, to a lesser extent, "Cats rule."
  • Another one, coined by a game-obsessed character of his creation: "Life is a game. Play it."
• Celibate Hero: His role-playing character falls into this category. She has a reputation for being that board's only completely straight girl in a universe of oddballs, with much of her personality channeled from him directly. The troper himself has chosen to avoid romance of any type, having seen the economic and emotional problems associated with it first-hand and not wanting anything to do with it.
• Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Will often lose track of anything he's doing, mostly due to ear worms and imaginary situations a la Walter Mitty. His thought process can seem a bit odd at times.
• Crossover: Most of his fanfic selections.
• Deadpan Snarker: The attitude he brings towards the world. The direct result of dealing with juvenille behavior for thirteen years running.
• Determinator: Deals with the odd bout of depression—see 'Tender Tears' below—but decided after hearing of Brian Randall's passing that he was going to live his life by five simple words: Never give up. Never surrender.
• Every Things Cuter With Kittens: An everyday mindset. Has been in love with cats and kittens since childhood.
• Old Shame: His first serious effort at fanfiction, a Self-Insert Fic that depicted him as a mutant cat (alongside several others) fighting against the Sailor Senshi several times. It has never seen the light of day on the Internet, and considering its content it is just as well.
  • Nowadays, he considers everything he wrote prior to Fantasy of Utter Ridiculousness to be this as well.
• Pluto Is Expendable: Not. In truth, he continues to refer to Pluto as a planet to this day. His rationale for this is that he spent two decades of his life calling it a planet prior to its reclassification, so why should he stop?
• Pungeon Master: Never get caught between him and his father in a pun war.
• Rule of Funny: Operates by this rule. Give him some clean humor, and you've got yourself a reader.
• Self-Deprecation: Tends to call himself a dingbat whenever he does something stupid, and he has become increasingly aware of his faults as time goes on.
• Self-Insert Fic: Has written no less than four of these, with his most recent effort being the one he's happiest with. Not like that is saying much, though.
• She Is Not My Girlfriend: And don't you forget it.
• Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale: The in-school RPG he had with his friends had plenty of instances of this. A spaceship big enough to be seen lightyears away, just to name one example... He has mentioned in the past that if he knew that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann would be airing years after he graduated, he probably would've kept the ship around.
• Shipping: Averted. Avoids romantic discussions and pairings altogether, both in real life (as stated earlier) and in the fanfics he writes. The way he figures it, talking about those topics is a gigantic waste of breath and bytes.
• Squee: Had this reaction when he realized that one of his fanfics had made it to Touhou's Fanfic Recs page, and subsequently walked on air the rest of the day.
• Tender Tears: Easily moved to these, but then again fits of depression aren't that uncommon with him. Even things that would normally be uplifting can set him off, the primary reason why he has never played Undertale.
• The Quiet One: Would prefer not to talk to anyone if he could get away with it. If the topic isn't important to him, he says very little or nothing at all.
• Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: Early on with his fanfiction, he would make at least some sort of attempt at planning out his stories. After deciding that doing this pretty much ruined what he wanted to do with his writing, he decided that making things up on the fly would be much more entertaining. Results have varied.

• Dilbert: Used to find it hard not to feel sympathetic towards this guy. Nowadays, not so much. (Wally) His fondness for the series dropped like a stone after the author's incredibly racist comments.
• Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z: "Charisma" this, Michel. (Kaoru Matsubara)
• Dragon Ball: More specifically, Z. (Vegeta)
• Garfield: Do you even need to ask? (Garfield)
• Get Fuzzy: Cracking dinner medals. (Mac Manc McManx)
• Grand Tour Series: (Multiple)
• Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: At first because of the music and animation, and later because of Grey Delisle's voice acting. Doesn't hurt to have a few cats as minor characters, either. (Yumi Yoshimura)
• Mega Mari: The game that jump-started his interest in the Touhou series in general. (Patchouli Knowledge)
• Megas XLR: By simple virtue of the fact that he digs giant robots. (Coop)
• Mega Man Zero: This more than the other series, being that it's the only one that he's played to completion. The ZX series doesn't count, having only two games to its name at present. (Fairy Leviathan; see "Manehattan's Lone Guardian" above)
• Mobile Fighter G Gundam: Thinks it was the gigantic King of Hearts that first got his attention. (Sai)
• My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: As if that last trope page listed at the top wasn't enough of an indicator. (Vinyl Scratch)
• One Piece: One of his present addictions. SUUUPAAAAAA! (Zoro)

• Pink Kitty Rose: The Worms Armageddon matches at first. The Link to the Past randomizers later.
• Pokémon: Doesn't watch it much anymore, but still checks on it from time to time. Is hooked on the main games more than the spinoffs. (For the Pokémon, Delcatty. For the humans, Byron.)
• raocow: It's a thing.
• Roahm Mythril: Perfect runs against nearly every Robot Master in the Classic Mega Man series? Well, bugger.
• Sailor Moon: His introduction to anime, discovered while channel-surfing in the garage as a kid. Helps that the first thing he saw was Luna. Still doesn't understand why some people can't stand Chibi-Usa. (Luna)
• Samurai Pizza Cats: Was active in the fandom once upon a time. Now has the series on DVD, and is all the happier for it. (Speedy Cerviche)
• Shovel Knight: In the immortal words of Tag Team: "Here's a shovel. Can you dig it, fool?" (Plague Knight)
• Slayers: One of the forces that drove his interest in anime, thanks to The Internation Channel back in the day. (Wizer Freion)
• Space Ghost Coast to Coast: The first few seasons of this (the later seasons started to get too vulgar for his tastes), plus the original iteration of Cartoon Planet. (Brak)
• Star Wars Legends: He is taken with this series on up to the end of the New Jedi Order series, and collects the miniatures in preparation for a rematch with his brother, whenever that may be. (Elassar Targon)
• SWAT Kats: Don't worry about going here. The Enforcers will handle this. (Razor)
• The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy: Again, because of Grey Delisle's voice acting (and Grim's awesomely Evil Laugh). The brand of humor involved tends to disgust him, however. (Grim)
• Turnabout Storm: "WHY DON'T THEY HAVE MORE PENS?!" (Rarity)
• Touhou: Tends to favor the fighting games over the vertical shooters, though. And he hates going up against Yukari. Strangely enough, except quite possibly for Parsee, he doesn't hate any one character in the series. (Patchouli Knowledge)
• Undertale: Has not tried the game, and likely never will: the heartstrings that the game likes to tug has triggered several fits of depression, and he doesn't feel comfortable with the idea of the No Mercy route's content sitting on his computer system. He does, however, find the skeletons to be awesome as all get out. (Papyrus)
