Video Game: Castle Adventure
is an adventure game created in 1984 by Kevin Bales for the MS-DOS operating system. The game was originally compiled from the BASIC programming language.
The game's plot is simple: you, the adventurer, are trapped in a deserted castle and must seek a way to escape.
Castle Adventure contains examples of the following tropes:
- Excuse Plot: See above.
- Game-Breaking Bug: The game comes with a Save feature, but utilizing it causes the castle to glitch up upon reloading. Beating the entire game in one go is the suggested course of action.
- Guide Dang It: It is not entirely obvious where one of the treasures, the diamond, is located. This is one of the things most likely to prevent the player from obtaining a perfect score.
