However, when Mickey accidentally unleashed The Blot upon Wasteland the doctor soon left Oswald for The Blot, with plans of betraying it later as well. Later on, the Mad Doctor helped The Blot drag Mickey into Wasteland to steal his heart and escape Wasteland; but this proved to be their undoing when Mickey escaped and defeated them both, bringing peace back to Wasteland and gaining Oswald's friendship.
VideoGame.Heros Realm: Prince Kenji of Jomongo. Doubles as a bit of Fridge Horror if you speak to him in the third chapter and learn that he...desperately wants to join the Army of Light. It becomes a You Monster! in chapter five when you learn that he allowed Balthalas to enter the largest city in the world and create an army of dead that wiped out Kenji's own family and most of the citizens.
Literature.Lucifers Star: Cassius the Elder's plan is to become this and help the Community invade the Commonwealth in order to conquer it and elevate humanity's technological level with him in charge through a puppet ruler. It becomes complicated by the Commonwealth surrendering prematurely.
Characters.The Ten Commandments 1956: Adaptational Villainy: Though briefly introduced in the Book of Exodus, Dathan played a more minor role in the Numbers account, leading a revolt against Moses and getting swallowed up by the ground. Here, he becomes The Quisling, is responsible for the Golden Calf incident, and was responsible for driving Moses out of Egypt to begin with.

He gets trouble from both sides - some Komarrans naturally view him as a traitor and a quisling (not least his own militant father), while many Barrayarans don't trust him and are waiting for him to slip up. However, he believes that integration and cooperation between Komarr and Barrayar is the only good way forward for either of them, and that putting up with the problems will make things easier for those who follow after him.

Literature.Redwall: My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Moles are all hardworking, salt-of-the-earth types except maybe three: a scholar, a wanderer, and the first warrior mole ever, Axtel Sturnclaw. However, the other moles don't make any fuss about it.Lonna Bowstripe is the first badger to use a ranged weapon, despite the narration insisting on how huge he is (even moreso than it usually does when describing badgers). In general, the further along you are in the series the more likely you are to see evil members of "good" species, with voles, for whatever reason, being more likely to be self-serving thieves or outright Quislings, along with the occasional hedgehog or squirrel.
TheCaligula.Live Action TV: Luke Rattigan in "The Sontaran Stratagem"/"The Poison Sky", who, in addition to being an Insufferable Genius, is quickly revealed to be The Quisling conspiring with the Sontarans to wipe out humanity, with the sole exception of himself and a few chosen intellectuals who will serve as breeding stock as they colonise the planet "Castor 36", aka "Earth.2" or "Rattigan's World". His ultimate Heel–Face Turn only comes after the Sontarans reveal that they had no intention of honouring the deal and the planet itself never existed, leading him to teleport up to the ship with a bomb simply to spite them. The very idea that he, along with the other heroic Riders are willing to sell out mankind to a Knight Templar A.I. to eliminate the villains is basically a betrayal of their duty as Kamen Riders.

There's the NAC, who are somewhat polarizing in their embracing the Honorary Britannian system though are secretly supporting the Japanese resistance movements, while there are those various individuals who sign up to be Honorary Britannians of their own free will for sympathetic personal reasons, like Suzaku and Mikasa.

VideoGame.Watch Dogs Legion: One of Nowt's side missions involves a traitorous DedSec Houston hacker looking to spill his secrets to Albion. He ends up getting tortured and killed by SIRS, who thought he was still working for DedSec and were going to kill him anyway.

Characters.Doom 2016 Demons: Asshole Victim: Absolutely none of them get the slightest bit of pity when the Slayer kills them systematically. Especially in the codex when you learn they did it all in selling out their people out of fanatic devotion to the Khan Maykr, to fuel their addiction to Argent Energy and its power, and sheer amusement regardless of the destruction they cause of countless worlds in the process, including Earth.
Film.Bumblebee: Dr. Powell, a scientist of Sector Seven who's at the forefront of cooperating with the Decepticons, on the grounds of understanding their incredibly advanced and potentially revolutionary alien technology before the Soviets do. VideoGame.Age Of Wonders: The Cult of Storms protagonist tries to play this role for the Undead in their route, hoping against hope that the Omnicidal Maniacs will still have a use for living subjects in the long term. The reality sinks in after the final battle concludes, but by then there's nothing anybody can do, and the Cult protagonist is resigned to their eventual execution.
Fanfic.Kamen Rider X Over: The Rising of the Kamen Riders has Bisca T. Balmus, Itsuki's former partner in the FBI who kept leaking information to Shocker. He's not The Quisling, he just has a hero complex and wanted the honor of beating Shocker personally and so tried to set things up in his favor. Ultimately Shocker revealed they knew his plans all along and decided to show him how dangerous they were. Afterward, he was removed from his position.
WorldOfWarcraft.Tropes S To Z: You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: In the Arcatraz dungeon, Warden Mellichar, under the influence of mind control, releases Harbinger Skyriss, and is promptly killed by him.Also called out by name in the quest "Dread Head Redemption". Averted with the Drakuru quest chain. You've just opened up the Drakkari to full invasion by the Scourge, and the troll who's been giving you instructions the entire way has just been empowered by the Big Bad, now being an undead abomination. His response? To thank you for your help, give you the sales pitch for the Lich King, and send you on your way. If you did this quest before you go into Zul'Drak, he remembers you and is happy to see you again.
Characters.Arrowverse Eobard Thawne: He's from Earth-1, but has no problem helping the Earth-X Nazis to conquer his home universe. Unlike most examples of this trope, it's implied not to be out of self-preservation; indeed, no conclusive motivation is given for his actions other than to screw with Barry.
Characters.Battlestar Galactica 2003: When the Cylons arrive on New Caprica he immediately surrenders to them. To be fair, and as Romo Lampkin later points out, the humans were totally defenseless and open resistance would have been met with destruction. Plus, to Baltar's credit, he did at least try to refuse signing an execution order for a group of prisoners that included Roslin and Zarek, and only did it because a Number Five literally held a gun to his head and threatened to shoot him.
YouAreTooLate.Video Games: It happens again — twice — in the Lord of Destruction expansion. You have to stop Baal from getting to the Worldstone or all is lost. First, you fail to stop Nihlathak from handing over the Relic of the Ancients to Baal so he can bypass the Ancients and get to the Worldstone Keep because he's already handed it over by the time you reach him. Then you battle and defeat Baal, only to learn after defeating him that he's already corrupted the Worldstone, forcing Tyrael to destroy it to keep humanity from being enslaved by Hell (although given the Worldstone's true purpose, this inadvertently sets up the happiest ending in the series).

They'll succumb to this on every other path, as they're easily conquered after Edelgard defeats Claude (Crimson Flower), have to be bailed out by Dimitri later in the war (Azure Moon) or quickly fall into ruin after losing most of their forces at Gronder Field. Recap.Andor S 1 E 9 Nobodys Listening: Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Kino has spent previous episodes as The Quisling, keeping other prisoners in line. However, after Ulaf suffers his stroke, we see that he does genuinely care about the men under his care and wants to keep them motivated to work until they get to go home. When he realizes that prisoners aren't being released, just reassigned to other prisons, his faith in the Empire shatters, and he helps Cassian plan his escape.
VideoGame.Of Orcs And Men: Quite a few orcs have assimilated into the Empire rather than even offer token resistance, but the ultimate example is Marhlok, Arkail's father, who sold his entire tribe into slavery and seems to show no remorse for it. Which is subverted. While he doesn't regret his choice, he only did it to prevent a mass execution then and there and is now the leader of the resistance in the Mire.
Recap.The X Files S 06 E 12 One Son: The Syndicate members are revealed to be collaborating with aliens to protect them and their families from colonization by making an alien-human hybrid. They are actually buying time to make a vaccine but to their horror, succeed by making the first hybrid in Cassandra Spender.

Fridge Horror.RWBY: In Punished, Tyrian recognizes Qrow by name when the latter turns to face him. However, Qrow doesn't do the same; he only manages to ascertain the attacker's name and affiliation before having to fight him. This means that, despite knowing about Salem and Cinder's faction, Qrow (and likely Glynda and Ironwood) didn't know about Salem's other operatives (with Ozpin having known Hazel years before and Professor Lionheart knowing Dr. Watts personally) ... and therefore had zero idea as to how powerful Tyrian really was before encountering him.
MoralEventHorizon.Literature: In The Tomorrow Series, Major Harvey looks like nothing but a Jerkass at first... but rapidly speeds past the Moral Event Horizon when it's revealed that so far from being a member of La Résistance, he's an enemy collaborator, before advancing to full Quislinghood. He takes the lead in interrogating Ellie and her friends, doesn't protest at all when they're condemned to death, and it's no fault of his that they escaped. Nobody who reads the books feels sorry for his eventual fate.
NightmareFuel.Infinity Crisis: In the final scene of An Avenging Christmas, the Daleks are revealed that they are beginning to launch an invasion of The Multiverse. In Cult of the Daleks, it is revealed that the Daleks have already conquered several Earths with little to no resistance and have installed their own group called the League of Skaro to aid them in their conquests.
Recap.Community S 2 E 24 For A Few Paintballs More: Pierce offers to give any information about Jeff Winger to Dean Spreck in exchange for not being shot. They turn out to be only things that Pierce made up to make Jeff seem gay, and not anything of real tactical value. Since he betrays City College in the end, this was probably intentional.

Characters.The Victors Project Fallen Tributes And District Citizens: Rebel Leader: Takes over as District 8 rebel leader after Cora is killed by the Capitol and Spindella does a Murder-Suicide Decapitation Strike against the District 8 leadership. Under her leadership, District 8 "drove back seven waves of Capitol forces. Her ragtag militia hurt the Capitol so badly that several districts encountered half the resistance they would have otherwise".
Characters.Star Wars Rebel Alliance: Head-in-the-Sand Management: Many members of the New Republic Senate accuse Princess Leia and those like her of being a vicious warmonger or deny the threat of The First Order. Others believe they're right but that they should appease the First Order rather than go to war. A small number of senators are even The Quisling, working for it within.
MoralMyopia.Live Action TV: Kira is not entirely innocent of this either. During her time in the resistance Kira killed Cardassian civilians and Bajoran collaborators and she made it clear that she's not sorry. Still, she holds a grudge against Damar because "When he killed Ziyal, he killed an innocent woman". At the time, Ziyal had just helped a group of enemy combatants escape from holding so that they could sabotage the station. From Damar's point of view she was far from innocent.
Characters.Fire Emblem Three Houses Golden Deer: During the Silver Snow and Azure Moon routes, Lorenz joins the faction of the fractured Alliance that supports the Empire, feeling that they cannot be stopped and siding against them is foolish, despite the fact that Claude is currently helping the Resistance/Kingdom. He joins Empire forces during one battle against your army and, unless Byleth chooses to spare him, dies for it. Justified, as his father is the leader of that faction, and his territory is right on the Empire's border, so it would bear the brunt of any invasion and warfare around the border.
Monster.Film T To V: They Live!: Holly Thompson is an apparently innocent bystander-turned-rebel, but in truth is a traitor to the human race in service of the aliens oppressing the Earth. Playing the role of a friendly ally to the rebels, Holly helps lead the military to a rebel outfit and gets the entire group massacred. Personally overseeing the main transmitter enabling the aliens to hypnotize and brainwash humankind, Holly continues to feign helpfulness until she kills Frank, threatens to gun down Nada, and attempts to secure her position in the alien hierarchy and ensure humanity's continued horrid oppression for her own greed.
Characters.Disney Riders Other Universes: This version of Marcy willingly lets herself be assimilated by the Core in exchange for Anne and Sasha getting spared.
