• The Federation: America is a federation of 48 states and various territories that are home to various races and religions from around the world.
• Media Scaremongering: After the Roswell incident, the American public is whipped into a frenzy at the fear of aliens, in a series of flavor events perpetuated by the media, with the government's attempts to explain the truth being seen attempts to conceal it instead.
• Military Coup: If President William Knowland announces his intention to focus on Asia instead of Europe, the military will launch a coup to depose him.
• Nuclear Option: In contrast with the Nuke 'em Nazis, the TA, and more specifically America, can only engage in nuclear warfare if they're attacked with nukes first, or if a major ally is being directly invaded, regardless of how racist or dictatorial they become. In the latter case, the most likely instance of this is a successful Operation Sealion by Germany against the UK, which is seen as an equally justifiable reason to wipe Germania from the map.
• The Republic: The leading democratic superpower in the world and the archnemesis to Nazi Germany.
• Scary Dogmatic Aliens: Hilariously, this is taken a step up after people start to fear that the non-existent aliens are actually working together with the Third Reich, to the point where one of the optional responses is to call Hitler and ask him if he has a direct line to Venus.
• Shell-Shocked Veteran: A large number of them can be found begging on the streets from New York to San Francisco, many of them suffering not only from PTSD but from the effects of nuclear radiation induced by the nuclear bombings. While the vets themselves are proud of their service, many in the public are saying that the Government has failed in its duty to those who have served it, given the growing number of vets dying due to their horrific injuries.

Harry S. Truman

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Harry Truman was not meant to be president, but inherited the post after the death of the extremely popular Franklin Roosevelt in 1945. After assuming office, he continued the war against Japan, authorising the first use of atomic bombs in warfare in history. Through the Truman Doctrine, he attempted to contain Nazi influence inside continental Europe and to secure friendly governments around the world, intervening directly and indirectly in the Middle East and Eastern Asia. Despite doubts, Truman won a surprising victory, securing reelection in 1949, and in his second term he oversaw the United States becoming an economic powerhouse unmatched by anything before. Now, however, his second term is nearing its end, and it remains to be seen who will take the lead of the world's newest superpower for the next 4 years.

The incumbent president, he plans on running for a third term in the 1952 election. A moderate Democrat, he leans more on the interventionist side of things, and will work hard to contain Nazi influence.

Henry Wallace

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Henry Agard Wallace was born on October 7th, 1888, in Adair County, Iowa, into a family of prominent farmers and politicians. Wallace began his life not in politics, however, but in journalism, writing for his family's magazine. In this time, he also participated in the business of agriculture, buying a corn farm with his wife in 1914. However, amidst the Great War, Wallace and his father assisted in the procurement of agriculture. After the war, Wallace's political activism continued, but as the Republican Party turned from the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt to that of the Gilded Age, he found himself becoming a Democrat, supporting their fruitless campaigns in 1924 and 1928.

In the darkest days of America, however, amidst the Great Depression, Wallace found hope. When Franklin D. Roosevelt won the presidency in 1932, Wallace followed him into his cabinet, becoming Secretary of Agriculture. As Secretary, he presided over a large expansion of the Department, overseeing things like the Agricultural Adjustment Administration and the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act.

When Roosevelt ran for a third term in 1940, he chose the liberal Wallace as his Vice-President, seeing his credentials as more useful than those of the conservative John Nance Gamer. This choice proved to be prescient, and when the Pacific War began, Wallace oversaw the mobilisation of the country to defeat the Japanese evil empire. From these efforts came victory, but at a great cost to American lives.

With Roosevelt's death in 1945, Wallace rose to the office of the presidency. As President, he has promoted policies of containing the Nazi threat in Germany, as well as progressive policies on the home front. However, politics has not been so kind to him, and it was only by an upset that he won in 1948. In 1952, Wallace's promises are under threat - can he overcome a troublesome Congress, or is he doomed to be a do-nothing President?

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Louis Stephen St. Laurent was born in a Quebec village to bilingual parents. During his time as an accomplished lawyer in Quebec, he became a staunch supporter of the Liberal Party and enamoured with the late politician Wilfrid Laurier. Eventually entering politics in 1941 as a member of Mackenzie King's as Minister of Justice and later as Minister of External Affairs, he helped and laterations of the free world into the Toronto gather the Accord; putting putting Canada on the on the map in the post-war world. After being selected as leader of the Liberal Party after Mackenzie King's retirement to overwhelming support, he create created Canada's first mass-media figure in politics leading him to win a comfortable majority government in 1949 as prime minister. Not hiding his disdain for the authoritarian regimes that now dominate mainland Europe as well as a distaste for communism, St. Laurent is determined to strengthen Canada's position in the world while upholding the ideas of political liberty and internal unity.

Becoming a Colonel by the end of the war, Drew elected mayor of his hometown of Guelph and became an important politician in the Ontario Conservative Party. Climbing through the party ranks first as Premier of Ontario and then leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, Drew became infamous for his red baiting campaigns against CCF politicians and for his inflammatory remarks towards French Canadians. Now against the odds, Drew has been elected as Prime Minister. Will he be able to repair his relationship with Canada's francophone population and bring Canada into a new age after decades of Liberal rule?

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Born and raised in England, Major Coldwell moved to Canada when he was 22 to become a teacher in Alberta and later on in Saskatchewan. Creating the Farmer-Labour Party in 1929, Coldwell began making connections within labour and farmer's organizations in the prairies. Becoming the first national secretary of the CCF in 1934, Coldwell regularly clashed with other CCF politicians over Canada's involvement in the Second World War, believing in intervention against the Axis over pacifism. Becoming leader of the CCF in 1942 after J.S. Woodsworth's death, Coldwell continues to uphold the democratic socialist policies on which the party was founded despite fierce red baiting from his Liberal and Tory opponents. Convinced on the need to either abolish capitalism or reform it in Canada, Coldwell's election as North America's first democratic socialist leader has undoubtedly shaken the mainstream political establishment to its core. But will he be able to overcome resistance from the opposition and within his party?

His political ambitions began at a young age, but were never taken seriously by his family. After serving in the First World War, Diefenbaker entered a legal career which soon became a political one. He became one of the of the leading lights in the local Conservative Party, in a traditionally Liberal region, and became known as a vocal opponent of free trade with the United States - fearing American domination over Canada. Now his hard work has finally paid off - his political successes have led to him becoming Prime Minister. Will he cave in to the mainstream, or will he break American dominance?

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Born and raised in Toronto, Lester Pearson graduated from college with an affinity for sociology and history. A distinguished officer during the First World War, Pearson was largely unsure with what to do with his life. Passing the foreign service exam with flying colours, he would enter a career in international politics. Becoming First Secretary of the Canadian High Commission in London in 1935, Pearson's career in foreign affairs became an extremely accomplished one. Becoming Canada's ambassador to the United States in 1945 and later Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1946, Pearson became an extremely influential Liberal politician; being instrumental in the formation of the Toronto Accord. Now as he stands as Prime Minister of Canada, Pearson is an adamant supporter of strengthening Canada's position in the Accord and continuing his predecessor's work of improving the welfare for all Canadians.

In-Game Biography ^{Click to Show} Thomas Clement Douglas was born in Scotland to a relatively poor family, moving to Winnipeg in 1910. During his childhood, Tommy had become convinced that healthcare should be made free for all after he was treated for a traumatic illness that would've amputated his leg if his family had to pay for the expenses. Witnessing the RCMP kill one of the demonstrators during the Winnipeg General Strike of 1918 firsthand, he became convinced of the need to uphold universal freedoms for all citizens. Studying sociology, theology and socialist economics in university, he later moved to economics in university, he later moved to Saskatchewan as a church minister. Joining the CCF on its foundation, he quickly moved through its ranks and became the first democratic socialist premier in Canada; introducing medicare to the province of Saskatchewan. Becoming a popular MP in the House of Commons and later a cabinet minister in the new CCF-led government, Tommy Douglas has now become Prime Minister. But will he be able to bring his grandiose ideas of nation-wide medicare and universal rights to all Canadians?

In 1925, he joined the Young League of Communists of Canada, and three years later he officially joined the Communist Party of Canada and quickly fell under state blishing surveillance. In 1931, he began publishing pamphlets and newspaper articles attacking the Québec government then ran by Maurice Duplessis, only be imprisoned for sedition during the 1930s. As CCP president, he had first-hand experience to all the brutalities of Duplessis's Padlock Law that forced the party and his movement into the underground. During the war, he had been elected to the House of Commons as the first and only Communist MP. After Quebec gained its long-awaited independence, Rose quickly aligned himself with the growing far-left movement, eventually winning him the seat of Québec's communist chairman.
