Shiun'in Sora and the others were no match against Zarc’s might. In order to carry on the wishes of their friends, Kurosaki and Kaito stand against Zarc. Facing off against Zarc’s Supreme Dragon’s fearsome might, Kurosaki and Kaito risk it all and challenge Zarc in order to save Yuto and Yuya.
This episode contains the following tropes:
- Alien Geometries: Reira and Reiji navigating Academia shows that due to Arc-V's fusing of the dimensions, Academia has become this.
- Bash Brothers: Kaito and Kurosaki. They work well together even using team work to rank up their aces and power them up to above 5000 ATK.
- Big Damn Heroes: Subverted like in the previous episode; Jack and Gongenzaka step in to Duel Zarc, but are unable to do anything to prevent Kaito and Kurosaki's loss. On the bright side, however, Gongenzaka manages to save them both from a potentially fatal fall.
- The Bus Came Back: JACK ATLAS, the manly Gongenzaka, and Sawatari make their return!
- Character Development: As odd as it is, Zarc is getting some. As the duel continues, Zarc grows more and more human-like. His tone has more emotion in it, he is more expressive than stoic as before.
- The Corruption: Supreme King Servant Dragon - Dark Rebellion makes it seem like Zarc is this even to the Four Dimension Dragons. Supreme King Servant Dragon - Dark Rebellion has stripes of green and looks evil compared to the normal Dark Rebellion.
- Evil Laugh: Zarc delivers one after Kurosaki and Kaito ranked up their aces and powered them above 5000 ATK, questioning if that's all that their power amounted to.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Invoked. Kurosaki remembers when Yuto stopped him when he was going overboard in Standard. As such he sees defeating Zarc as this to awaken Zarc.
- Hopeless Boss Fight: Like the last episode, the Lancers can't stand up to Zarc. The saddest part is Kaito and Kurosaki couldn't even damage Zarc.
- Hunter of His Own Kind: Supreme King Servant Dragon - Dark Rebellion has effects that counter Xyz monsters, making it this.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Kurosaki and Kaito continue Sora and Edo's attempt to awaken Yuya, though they also start appealing to Yuto. It doesn't work.
- Invincible Villain: Not even once were Kaito and Kurosaki able to scratch Zarc's LP.
- Meaningful Name: Supreme King Servant Dragon - Dark Rebellion
- No-Sell: Kaito attempting to use his Galaxy Eyes' effect on Dark Rebellion doesn't work due to Supreme King Dragon Zarc's effect that negate Xyz monsters from affecting his monsters.
- Oh, Crap!: Kaito and Kurosaki react like this when Zarc scoffs at their plan to remove Dark Rebellion and himself from the field.
- Portal Network: Allen and Sayaka were sucked by a portal to the Fusion Dimension. They are then sucked by a portal to someplace unknown shortly before Kaito and Kurosaki lose to Zarc.
- Say My Name:Gongenzaka: KUROSAKI!!! KAITO!!!
- Smug Smiler: Zarc continues to be this as he looks down on Kaito and Kurosaki's attempts to defeat him.
- Take Up My Sword: Gongenzaka is next to carry Yuya's pendulum pendant after Kaito and Kurosaki are defeated.
- Trailers Always Spoil: The episode preview unveils Supreme King Servant Dragon - Dark Rebellion.
