Odd Friendship in this series.

  • Lindsay and Beth. The former is a rich, popular, and attractive cheerleader-type, while the latter is a short, homely geek who was raised on a farm.
  • Gwen strikes one up with Geoff, in "Trial By Tri-armed Triathlon". While the two are different as night and day, they come to a mutual understanding of each other, with Geoff even managing to help Gwen open up, where he helps amend her view that "partying isn't in your DNA" and more like a "state of mind". The two part on good terms and Geoff vows to invite Gwen to her first party once the season was over. That said, it is unknown if they are still friends after Geoff's behavior towards her during the second Aftermath.
  • She's surprisingly good friends with Owen, the fun-loving, 296-pound Keet. Notably, their friendship is one of the few relationships that remains consistent across the first three seasons. In the finale of Island, she lists him as one of the few people she considers sane. During Action, he's the only one on the Killer Grips who isn't mad at her because Trent threw the challenges for her sake. During World Tour, she tries to make him feel better about Izzy breaking up with him, and later, he supports her new relationship with Duncan.
  • Harold develops one with Heather of all people, after they tenuously team up in the Season 1 finale. Though you don't see it much as the two of them are usually bickering when they interact, Heather seems to genuinely reciprocate the friendship to a small degree.
  • Despite being complete opposites, Owen and Noah are close friends. They even compete in the Spin-Off Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race together as a team.
  • In the Island special, Noah, Izzy and Eva team up together.
  • Though they don't get as much attention, cool biker guy Trent with Stereotypical Nerd Cody, especially since they were unwittingly part of a Love Triangle early on. This could theoretically be extended to the other Drama Brothers as well — fellow geek Harold and Brainless Beauty Justin.
  • Cody and Heather develop a friendship over their shared hatred of Alejandro in World Tour.
  • Stereotypical Nerd Harold and Lovable Jock Tyler form a brief friendship in World Tour after discovering their mutual love for Japanese game shows. Tyler is also shown to have developed one with Leshawna in the Action special, with the two having participated on numerous reality shows together between seasons.
  • Tyler paired up with Leshawna as a reality show duo in the Celebrity Manhunt special. Before and after this, they share little to no screen time together.
  • World Tour shows his relation with Alejandro as appreciated from both sides, even though Tyler is honesty incarnate and Alejandro is a manipulative bastard.
  • Despite being a jock, he isn't adverse to being friends with some of the nerdier characters. He and Cody also share a few notable moments. He also seems to get along with Noah pretty well (when the latter isn't insulting his intelligence, that is). There was also one episode where he and Harold nerded out over Japanese Game Shows.
  • DJ and Duncan. The former is a sensitive and compassionate Gentle Giant who loves animals and gets scared easily, while the latter is an abrasive delinquent and bully who takes pleasure in causing trouble and ticking people off.
  • Blaineley develops one with Owen in World Tour: he's the only contestant to cheer for her Blainerific musical number, and they bond over their shared loves of cake and farting in "Niagra Brawls". When he's eliminated at the end of the episode, Blaineley actually seems sad to see him leave. Although subverted since she was only pretending.
  • While Dave despises most of his team for being weird, he's actually very close to Shawn with the two foraging for food together and share dating advice with one another.
  • Although they're both major Jerkasses, Ripper and Chase both seem to be on good terms with each other and Zee.
  • Introverted antisocial loner MK ends up having a great friendship with social media butterfly Julia.
