Nice Guy / Total Drama

Go To

This show may be a Sadist Show, but it does have a few characters that fits into this trope.

  • Official Couple Geoff and Bridgette are both known for being extremely friendly and nice towards nearly everybody, having optimistic and compassionate personalities, and being very easygoing and forgiving (although Geoff Took a Level in Jerkass during Action due to Acquired Situational Narcissism).
  • DJ is an Animal Lover whose gentle and compassionate nature makes him one of the most adored contestants among his castmates; even major Jerkasses such as Duncan and Heather like him.
  • Owen's positive attitude and friendliness towards virtually everybody makes him very popular with the others, despite his gross habits.
  • Although she is extremely stupid, Lindsay is sweet in the extreme and almost never malicious towards anyone. Which makes the moments where she snaps all the more awesome.
  • Beth is extremely nice towards pretty much everybody (except for a few of the jerks) and always eager to make new friends or help the ones she already has.
  • Even though he's a jock, Tyler manages to avert all the negative qualities a jock has. He's supportive towards his friends and always has a positive attitude despite being a klutz. He's also shown strong loyalty towards Lindsay and never flirts with other girls.
  • Despite his know-it-all tendencies, Harold is generally quite polite and tries to act like a gentleman to everyone, unless it's Duncan or Courtney. He was even the first person willing to give Heather a second chance after everything she had done in Island.
  • Trent is well-known and well-liked by his fellow competitors (and a major Chick Magnet) because of his friendly, easygoing, and mild-mannered attitude, which allows him to get along with pretty much everyone.
  • Gwen, although cynical and snarky, is also pretty nice and friendly — much more so after her defrosting.
  • Izzy might be rather strange, but she’s actually a kind person and means well. For example, she volunteers to switch teams twice, first to let the inseparable friends Katie and Sadie be together, and then to let Sierra be with her crush Cody (although Cody would disagree on this being a kind action, Izzy seemed oblivious to that.) She also genuinely loves fellow Nice Guy Owen, and occasionally goes out of her way to do something kind for the other contestants such as retrieving Lindsay’s key for her when it was in a beehive (even if the bees attacked Lindsay anyway.) While she does harm other characters at times with her crazy antics, it never seems to be intentional, except in a few rare instances like her conflicts with Justin and Chef, where those characters are hardly nice people themselves.
  • Mike (at least when his main personality is in control) is a cheerful and optimistic boy who does his best to make friends and get along with others despite his mental disorder.
  • Zoey (who is Mike's girlfriend) is similarly sweet; except for Scott and Mal in All-Stars, she's nice to practically everyone.
  • Sam is a Lovable Nerd whose label is literally "The Nice-Guy Gamer". It was his kindness and compassionate nature that won the heart of the spoiled, attention-seeking heiress Dakota, allowing for the two of them become an Official Couple by the end of the season.
  • Cameron. After he wins in the finale of Revenge of the Island, he gives a share of the prize money to every one of his friends and even all his enemies.
  • Dawn is a little creepy, but a kind soul... to animals, at least. With humans, it's a toss-up. For instance, she takes a protective role towards B up until his elimination and gives Zoey relationship advice. This is contrasted in "Backstabbers Ahoy!" where she's vehemently against the (harmless) use of gulls as ammunition but doesn't think twice about using a drugged-up and malnourished Lightning as a surfboard.
  • Ella. She is one of the nicest, if not the nicest character in the whole series; she is an Actual Pacifist who just wants to be everyone's friend.
  • From the same season, there's Sammy/Samey. In contrast to her Jerkass twin sister Amy, she has a meek and friendly personality.
  • Caleb is an easygoing and friendly guy. When the intern driving his boat crashes and apologizes, Caleb tells her that it's okay and despite being upset over Bowie getting him eliminated first in the first season, he's able to get over it during the one-year break.
  • Even though he's never seen the show and wanted to leave the game, Damien doesn't take it out on the others and is amicable and friendly towards them.
  • Raj and Wayne are a bit goofy and immature, but they mean well and do their best to help their teammates out. Wayne is also very supportive of Raj after the latter realizes that he is gay, and doesn't want to force him out of the closet either, preferring to let Raj come out when he feels comfortable.
  • Zee is similar to Geoff in that they're both laidback and relaxed, but Zee wanted everyone to join forces in order to take down Chris.

Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race

  • Carrie and Devin; they are the least offensive pairing in the game.
  • Kitty is one of the nicest contestants on the show, easily befriending the Adversity Twins, Carrie, and the Surfer Dudes.
  • Jay and Mickey are immensely kind to others and describe themselves as gentlemen.
  • Geoff and Brody are both very friendly and are happy to help out the other teams.
  • Dwayne. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but he still means well and always looks out for Junior's best interest, always volunteering to take on the more dangerous challenges for him. Think Homer Simpson but without the Jerkass qualities.
  • Dwayne's son, Junior, despite the fact that his dad causes him no end of embarrassment, is shown to be a nice and decent guy for the most part. He befriends Devin and Carrie in "My Way or Zimbabwe" when he gets separated from his dad.

Total DramaRama

  • Like in the main series, Bridgette remains as one of the nicest kids in the cast. Here however, her kindness has been cranked up to eleven, portraying her as an adorably friendly girl who just wants to make everyone happy.
  • While Cody teenage self was a good guy at heart, his positive qualities could get sidetracked by his perverted tendencies. Little Cody, on the other hand, is a very shy, friendly, and cheerful boy who just wants to get along with everyone.
  • Like in the main series, Owen is affable to everyone, especially Noah. In "Ant We All Just Get Along" he shares his spare hot dogs with Jude and an ant, in the same episode he comes up with a compromise solution when Courtney and Leshawna want to destroy the ant hill. He also helped Courtney hide her Extremo-Saurus egg from the other students despite Courtney refusing to share it with him as well.
  • Like Jude Lizowski teen self, his laidback, super-chill personality makes him one of the friendlier characters.
  • Ella's every bit as sweet and kindhearted as she was in the original series... so long as you don't make her mad.
