Several of the cards in South Park: Phone Destroyer are, or have, references to past episodes or the last two video games of the show.


  • Many of the Fantasy set cards are references to South Park: The Stick of Truth, like Grand Wizard Cartman, Kyle of the Drow Elves, Dark Mage Craig, and Lè Bard Jimmy, to name only a few.
  • Many of the Superheroes set cards are references to South Park: The Fractured but Whole, like The Coon (Eric Cartman), Human Kite (Kyle Broflovski), Fastpass (Jimmy Valmer), Doctor Timothy (Timmy Burch), and Call Girl (Wendy Testaburger), to name only a few.
  • A.W.E.S.O.M.-O 4000, Cartman's Sci-Fi persona, is a reference to the episode "AWESOM-O".
  • Program Stan, Stan's Sci-Fi persona, is designed as a reference to the episode "You Have 0 Friends."
  • Canadian Knight Ike is a reference to "Royal Pudding", at the end of which Ike is knighted by the Princess of Canada.
  • Medicine Woman Sharon uses the Cherokee Hair Tampons from the episode of the same name as weapons. She is also seen holding them in her card.
  • Space Warrior Tolkien's card art depicts him killing a Jakovasaur.
  • Randy's Fantasy card, The Amazingly Randy, is a reference to his stage magician's act in "Cock Magic". The spell card "Cock Magic" also gets its name from the episode.
  • One of Mr. Slave Executioner's summoning quotes is "South Park is gay!, which is a reference to the episode of the same name.
  • In the "Chicken Coop" totem card art, the Booktastic Bus Driver from "Chickenlover" is seen hiding behind the aforementioned chicken coop.
  • Incan Craig is a reference to the Pandemic two-parter, in which Craig is The Chosen One of an Inca prophesy, and possibly the Fanon following the episode that he has Inca ancestry.
  • Towelie's card features a bag of cheesy poofs, a snack seen many times throught the series, and an Okama Gamesphere, which is a gaming system Towelie helped the boys get back in the episode "Towelie".
  • In Calamity Heidi's card, Sheriff Cartman hides behind Heidi for protection, referencing their relationship in Seasons 20 and 21.
  • Zen Cartman is meditating in the middle of Stark's Pond.
  • Tom's Rhinoplasty can be seen in the background of the Purify card.
  • Jew Scout Ike and the appearance of Moses in the background is a reference to the episode "Jewbilee".
  • Stan's pet dog Sparky, Cartman's pet cat Mr. Kitty, a four-assed monkey, Chickadee-y of the Woodland Critters, and what may be Cartman's pet pig Fluffy, all appear in Friar Jimmy's card. Chickadee-y appears both on the card art and during gameplay resting atop of Jimmy's head. Sparky also appears on Medicine Woman Sharon's card, while Mr. Kitty also appears on Sorceress Liane's card.
  • Smuggler Ike is standing in the Smuggler's Den from "ManBearPig."
  • The art for the Cow Stampede features a cow statue and two agents in the background, as well as the cows attempting to jump off a cliff. This is all a reference to the episode "Cow Days".
  • The art of the Unholy Combustion card features the Woodland Creatures from "Woodland Critter Christmas" killing a man with their eye beams. They also appear in Santa Claus' card beaten to death. They eventually ended up getting their own card, albeit only Beary the Bear, Porcupiney the Porcupine, and Woodpeckery the Woodpecker.
  • The Regeneration card has the mouse with a penis growing on its back from "Eek, a Penis!"
  • The artwork for Big Gay Al and Satan are references to the movie Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.
  • The Visitors card has Cartman with an anal probe in the background, referencing the very first episode "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe" and the episode "Cancelled" to a lesser extent.
  • Witch Garrison has Randy and Stuart dressed in witch costumes in the background, referencing "Sons a Witches."
  • Priest Maxi has two Choirboy Butters standing on both sides of him, likely referencing "A Boy and a Priest."
  • Mr. Mackey's card has a "Drugs are Bad" poster with "& Bullying" taped to it, referencing "Ike's Wee Wee" and "Butterballs" respectively.
  • DogPoo's card has Tweek vomiting on Craig. While this is most likely due to DogPoo's stench, it could also be a meta reference to how in early seasons Stan vomited on Wendy whenever she tried to kiss him because of his crush on her.
  • Nelly's card features her fighting against Butters and Kevin Stoley in the school's playground, with Butters having his pants down, referencing "Douche and a Danish".
  • The Four-Assed Monkey is a reference to "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig."
  • Sorceress Liane's in-game sprite shows her wearing the same black dress Liane wore in "Cat Orgy", but with a sorcerer hat.
  • Mayor McDaniels is holding a jar of Christmas Snow from the episode of the same name on her card. She also uses said jars as weapons in-game.
  • In the Jesus' card, St. Peter the Rabbit from "Fantastic Easter Special" and God from "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus" can be seen.
  • The background of Space Pilot Bradley's card has a man riding on an "It" machine from "The Entity".
  • Hunter Jimbo and Hermes Kenny's card art both feature Scuzzlebutt from "Volcano" in the background, and Scuzzlebutt eventually ends up getting his own card as a Neutral Tank. If that wasn't enough, Scuzzlebutt's card has Jimbo aiming at him with his gunshot, which is yet another reference to "Volcano".
  • S-WOW Tittybang is who Sheila Broflovski once was when she grew up in New Jersey, which is a reference to "It's a Jersey Thing".
  • Future Randy is based off of Randy's appearance in South Park: Post Covid and South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid.
  • The birds seen in the Indian Hunter's card art resemble the one that was on Ms. Crabtree's head.
